Chapter 1 - NXT Debut
March 6th 2014
Luna had arrived at the NXT venu stepping out of her car letting out a sigh of relief as she was scheduled to make her NXT debut and her opponent was going to be the First Ever NXT Women's Champion Paige who is one of Luna's good friends due to their time in training together. Luna grabbed her bags from the car's trunk then made her way into the building. Luna passed a few people as she made her way towards the locker room only to be taped on the shoulder turning to find Saraya-Jade Bevis (Paige) there smiling.
The two friends smiled and hugged each other. "Saraya! How are you?"
Saraya laughed as the two separated. "I've been good, I can't believe you're here."
"Yeah. Yeah I got the call just a week ago and I'm honestly a little shocked to have gotten it already." Luna laughed a bit. "But I'm just dealing with butterflies I guess."
Saraya chuckled. "I don't blame you, it can be very overwhelming but once you go out there and you're in front of the crowd you'll just feel a rush of adrenaline. Believe me it hits you hard. But I know for a fact you'll do amazing."
"Thanks. I should get settled and ready for tonight." Luna adjusted her stuff.
"Oh absolutely because tonight after the show we are celebrating." Saraya smiled as she and Luna headed for the locker room.
Later In The Locker Room
Luna finished getting her ring gear on and was just about finished with getting her hands and forearms taped up.
Inside The NXT Arena'
Paige's music filled the arena as the fans all got on their feet. "Please welcome the NXT Women's Champion Paige!"
"We are starting off NXT with a bang as we begin with the NXT Women's Champion Paige one week removed from winning the title at NXT Arrival. Hello everyone I'm Tom Phillips joining me is Michael Davis, Josh Maxwell and Renee Young how are you all doing?" Tom asked.
"I'm doing well Tom and I am amped to see some NXT action tonight and I also gotta say hello to Renee." Josh said.
"Hello to you too Josh thank you for the warm welcome. Mike, how come you didn't give such a nice welcome?" Renee asked.
Mike laughed. "Well I would've but didn't get the chance but right now we have the NXT Women's Champion in the ring!"
Paige smiled as her music died down as she stood in the center of the ring. "Last week I achieved a dream by becoming the FIRST EVER NXT Women's Champion." The fans cheered. "Now I am here to be a fighting champion and to prove that. I am issuing an open challenge to anyone in the locker room to come out here and seize the opportunity!" Paige held her arms out looking up the ramp waiting.
Soon the lights went out making the arena dark as a pair of angel wings appeared on the titantron as they started to turn black while barbed wire suddenly wrapped around them while Diamante's song Bite Your Kiss started to play. A spotlight shined down on a lone figure standing on the stage as she threw her hood back.
This new Diva walked down to the ring before climbing up onto the apron then the second turnbuckle as she raised a hand into the air before jumping down into the ring. She stood there in the ring as she and Paige stared each other down.
Paige didn't look all that impressed. "Paige doesn't look that impressed and neither am I." Josh said.
"We haven't seen her in action yet Josh." Tom said.
Paige looked her new opponent up and down. "Who the hell are you?" Paige held the mic out for her opponent.
"My name is Luna."
Paige chuckled. "Okay. "LUNA!" What exactly makes you believe you can step in the ring with the NXT Women's Champion?" Paige seemed to be joking around.
Luna seemed to smile. "Unbridled. DESIRE!" Luna proceeds to slap Paige across the face, shocking the crowd before quickly taking Paige down onto the mat with a double leg take down and unleashing a flurry of forearms.
'DING! DING! DING!'
Paige pushed Luna off of her, completely caught off guard by Luna's sudden offensive flurry quickly backing away towards the ropes. Luna however was right back on her with a dropkick sending Paige between the ropes and down to the floor.
"Wow! Luna with an offensive flurry catching Paige off guard and now sending Paige out to the floor!" Tom said.
"Did you guys hear that slap? Talk about sending a message." Renee said.
Luna bounced off the ropes and dived through the ropes sending Paige into the railing as Luna stood up letting out a cry of adrenaline getting the fans behind her. Luna quickly picked Paige up and threw her into the ring before standing on the apron. Luna waited for Paige to get to her feet and when she did Luna jumped up onto the top rope with a springboard nailing Paige with a leg lariat quickly going for the pin.
"One! Two!" Paige kicked out. "Two!"
Luna grabbed Paige and put her in a seated Dragon Sleeper of sorts.
"Luna locking in a Dragon Sleeper of sorts. Guys take a look at the elevation that Luna got off that springboard. I mean look at this." Tom said as they showed a replay of the leg lariat. "Only got a two count but man talk about athleticism."
"I like what we're seeing from Luna. She is not slowing down, she is keeping up the pressure on Paige which is what she needs to do in order to potentially get the potential upset." Josh said.
Paige managed to fight her way back to her feet getting a few elbows until she was free and she headbutted Luna. Paige kicked Luna in the stomach before grabbing Luna by the hair and delivered a pair of headbutts before whipping Luna off the ropes. Luna ducked under a clothesline then ducked a backhand and when she came back around she leapt up and took Paige down with a head scissor hurricanrana. Paige rolled off her neck and shoulders getting back to her feet only to stumble back to the corner.
"Luna taking the fight to the NXT Women's Champion right now. Honestly I feel Luna may upset the champion and become the NXT Women's Champion tonight." Renee said.
"I don't disagree with you there Renee." Josh said.
Luna charged Paige only for Paige to move out of the way of an attempted splash which allowed Paige to hit a back suplex on Luna buying herself some needed time.
"Paige buying herself a moment and perhaps changing the tide of the match if she can capitalize off the back suplex." Mike said.
Paige was first back to her feet and started to stomp on Luna's stomach at least three times before picking her up by the hair. Paige headbutted Luna driving her back into the corner so Paige started stomping Luna down in the corner showing that mean streak. Paige pulled Luna out of the corner and looked to go for the Page Turner only Luna reversed it into a jackknife cover.
"One! Two!" Paige kicked out. "Two!"
"Paige looked to end this with the Page Turner but Luna must've had her scouted for this!" Tom said.
Luna got to her knees as did Paige and the two started exchanging forearms back and forth until they were on their feet. Paige hit Luna with a headbutt but Luna retaliated with a slap to the chest then a second getting the better of the exchange. So when Paige looked to retaliate with wild swing Luna ducked it and hit a Blue Thunder Bomb.
"One! Two!" Paige kicked out. "Two!"
"Luna nailing a Thunder Bomb only getting a two count!" Tom said.
Luna picked up Paige and slammed her down with a Falcon Arrow Suplex and with Paige right in the center of the ring Luna started to climb to the top rope. Once Luna reached the top rope she took a deep breath and when she dived off the top Paige rolled out of the way.
"Oh! Paige rolled out of the way! Luna landed hard onto the mat!" Mike said.
"This may be Paige's opportunity." Renee said.
Paige lifted Luna up and set her up for the Page Turner only again when she went for it Luna countered only this time kicked her in the gut and lifted Paige up hitting a Tiger Bomb.
"Tiger Bomb! Tiger Bomb!" Mike yelled.
Luna went for the pin. "One! Two!" Paige kicked out. "Two!"
Luna was in disbelief that Paige kicked out and was starting to think what she could do to put Paige away so Luna stood up and picked Paige up putting Paige up on her shoulders. Luna went for the finish, only Paige slipped out and suddenly nailed the Page Turner.
"Paige! With the Page Turner! That's it!" Josh said.
Page went for a jackknife pin but put her legs up on the ropes and the referee didn't see it. "One! Two! Three! Ring the bell!"
'DING! DING! DING!'
"Here is your winner and still the NXT Women's Champion Paige!"
"Paige took everything Luna gave and used the ropes on the pin to win this match!" Mike said.
"I don't agree with the tactics but Paige did whatever it took to win the match and you gotta respect what Luna has shown us." Renee said.
Paige raised the championship into the air as Luna sat in the corner obviously upset having let a big opportunity slip away.
Paige turned around and looked at Luna. "This is my house!"
Luna stood up and it looked like both were going to go at it again as Luna showed she was extremely close to winning the NXT Women's Championship. Paige showed that even still she was the NXT Women's Champion.
Soon Paige's music cut out as NXT GM Dusty Rhodes came out onto the stage. "Ladies. That was an incredible match and since I have a feeling these fans want to see a rematch." The fans started a 'YES' chant. "So two weeks from now. It will be Luna vs Paige for the NXT Women's Championship in the Main Event!" The fans started another 'YES' chant as Luna smiled.
"You heard it right here ladies and gentlemen! Two weeks from now right here on NXT Paige! Luna! NXT Women's Championship in the Main Event!" Tom said.
"I am all for it. I want to see a rematch between these two!" Renee said.
"I am right there with you Renee! We are gonna see these two Diva's go at it again!" Mike said.
Luna stepped out of the ring and walked up the ramp turning back to look at Paige with a smile showing she won't fail a second time. "I will become the NXT Women's Champion!"
Luna walked through the curtains.
Backstage Off Screen
Luna walked through the curtain receiving applause from her contemporaries as she received a hug from Virgil. "You did amazing out there tonight. I'm very proud of you."
Luna smiled. "Thank you."
Saraya hugged Luna from behind as the two laughed as Saraya jumped up making Luna piggy back her. "Let's go!"
Soon Luna put Saraya down as the two smiled. "See I told you. You'd do just fine out there."
"Okay! Okay you were right! Now come on, let's go celebrate!" Luna and Saraya went to change, then went out and got a drink.
Exclusive
Renee Young sitting in the frame. "Please welcome my guest Luna." The camera cut to show Luna sitting across from Renee. "Luna, thank you for sitting down with me for this interview."
"My pleasure Renee."
"So Luna. In the Main Event of NXT you will be taking on Paige for the NXT Women's Championship. Are you confident going into this match? Paige did pin you in your debut match last week on NXT."
Luna sighed. "I'm more than confident because this is one of my biggest opportunities and I've had detractors saying I just got here and I shouldn't already be challenging for the title but in this business you have to seize the opportunities you are given. I may never get another opportunity after this if I lose. But I swore to myself, to my family that I wouldn't let this opportunity slip again. I will become the NXT Women's Champion."

Backstage On Split-Screen
Paige on the left as she is holding the NXT Women's Championship psyching herself up while on the right Luna is taping her hands up with a black and pink color scheme for her ring gear.
"There you see on the screen right now on the left is the NXT Women's Champion Paige and on the right the Challenger Luna." Tom said.
"Both these women are in the Main Event here on NXT and guess I did speak to Luna last week and she promised to become the NXT Women's Champion tonight." Mike said.
"Promises are all well and good but until she can pin Paige or make her submit those promises are mute." Josh said.
Soon the camera cut to show that WWE Hall Of Famer Trish Stratus was in attendance for the event. "Look who's in the front row! Hall Of Famer Trish Stratus along with her husband, sisters and parents are here to support Luna in her match tonight." Tom said.
"Always nice seeing Trish Stratus show up." Josh said.
Soon the lights went out making the arena dark as a pair of angel wings appeared on the titantron as they started to turn black while barbed wire suddenly wrapped around them while Diamante's song Bite Your Kiss started to play. "The following contest is scheduled for One Fall and it is for the NXT Women's Championship! Introducing first the challenger from Toronto Canada, Luna!"
Luna walked down to the ring and went over to where her family was and got hugs from them before climbing up onto the apron then the second turnbuckle as she raised a hand into the air before jumping down into the ring.
Paige's music soon played as she came out onto the ramp with the NXT Women's Championship over her shoulder.
"Introducing her opponent from Norwich, England. She is the NXT Women's Champion. Paige!"
"Paige is here. Two weeks ago Paige laid out a challenge. Luna answered. The two of them put on an unbelievable match but it was Paige who came out of that match with a victory by using the ring ropes." Tom said.
"Yes but thanks to the NXT General Manager Hall Of Famer Dusty Rhodes Luna was granted a rematch tonight especially in our main event." Mike said.
"Luna said she's had detractors who have said she doesn't deserve this opportunity after just getting here and they may be proven right here tonight." Josh said.
Paige climbed up onto the apron and leaned back screaming before stepping through the ropes and now stood across the ring from Luna.
The referee took the title from Paige before standing in the center of the ring and raising it into the air. "That's what it is all about right there the NXT Women's Championship." Mike said.
'DING! DING! DING!'
Luna and Paige circled each other before locking up in the center of the ring but Paige would lock in a side headlock but Luna would push Paige off. Paige went off the ropes coming back ducking a clothesline but when Paige came back again Luna nailed a pele kick to the top of Paige's head. Paige dropped to the mat quickly rolling out of the ring to get a breather.
"Luna with a pele kick to the top of Paige's head and the Women's Champion needs to take a breather." Tom said.
"Smart move by Paige because the championship can only change hands by pinfall or submission so Paige can be counted out or disqualified and not risk losing the title." Josh said.
Luna quickly left the ring and went onto the apron and charged towards Paige but when Paige turned around Luna leapt off the apron with a leg lariat taking out Paige.
"Luna with a leg lariat off the apron!" Mike said.
Luna started hitting the mat getting herself pumped up before standing up. "Come on!" Luna got the crowd excited as they responded in kind.
"Luna getting the crowd behind her here on NXT." Tom said.
Luna started to pick Paige up only for Paige to drive Luna back first into the ring apron then a second time. Paige tossed Luna against the guard railing by the hair which the referee continued the count since they're both outside the ring so Paige rolled into the ring then back out restarting the count. Paige pulled Luna up by the hair and slammed her face first into the apron before rolling the challenger into the ring. Paige climbed up onto the apron then pulled Luna up and through the top and middle rope.
Paige started to deliver knees to the chest and face of Luna before letting Luna collapse to the mat while Paige looked at the crowd. "This is my house!" The fans cheered.
"The NXT universe seems to be split down the middle between these two diva's." Tom said.
Paige climbed back into the ring and grabbed Luna and hit a fisherman suplex before pinning her. "One! Two!" Luna kicked out. "Two!"
Paige locked in a seated abdominal stretch making Luna cry in pain. "Come on Luna!" Paige started to dig her other elbow into Luna's side.
"Paige with an abdominal stretch punishing Luna in the middle of the ring." Tom said.
"She's showing Luna why she's the first ever NXT Women's Champion by doing this." Josh said.
"Guy's you notice Paige is driving her elbow into Luna's side there adding to the pain she's probably trying to work on the midsection of Luna after driving Luna back first against the apron." Mike said.
Luna was starting to struggle to break free as she managed to get both herself and Paige on their feet as the crowd started to get behind Luna. She managed to deliver a pair of lefts to Paige finally breaking free now holding her side. Paige however came right back and kicked Luna in the stomach and whipped her into the corner and started to charge at Luna only to catch a boot to the jaw. Luna held her stomach showing some obvious pain but Paige charged her again so Luna slipped through the ropes and kicked Paige in the side of the head stunning her.
"Luna with a kick in the side of the head of Paige buying herself a little bit of time." Tom said.
"Notice how Luna is holding her midsection showing some damage has been done." Mike said.
Luna started to climb up onto the second turnbuckle only for Paige to cut her off with a forearm to the face so Paige climbed up after her. Paige put Luna's arm over her neck and attempted a suplex only Luna hung onto the ropes. So Paige delivered a pair of headbutts which loosened Luna's grip so again Paige slung Luna's arm over her neck but this time delivered a suplex off the top rope.
Luna landed hard on her back and immediately held her midsection due to the hard landing but Paige rolled her onto her back and pinned Luna. "One! Two!" Luna kicked out. "Two!"
"Luna kicks out at two! Guys watch the impact of this suplex off the top rope." Tom said as a replay showed what occurred in slow motion.
"Luna landed painfully on her back and she immediately started to hold her midsection." Mike said.
Paige lifted Luna up and looked to go for the Page Turner but Luna managed to slip free and go for a back slide. "One! Two!" Paige kicked out. "Two!"
Paige grabbed Luna only for Luna to break free and knee Paige in the face which stunned Paige for a moment but when she turned around Luna delivered a spear making the crowd jump.
"Spear! Luna with a spear! Surprising Paige and the crowd this may give Luna a chance to take advantage!" Tom said.
Luna laid there for a moment before crawling over to Paige draping an arm over her. "One! Two!" Paige kicked out. "Two!"
"Paige kicks out at two! The champ survives!" Josh said.
"Luna may have changed the momentum of this match with that spear because Paige has dominated a good portion of this match." Mike said.
Luna pulled herself up in the corner but when Paige charged her Luna dodged driving Paige shoulder first into the post. Luna set Paige to be hanging between the ropes before leaping over with a leg drop to the back of Paige's neck. Paige collapsed to the mat rolling away from the corner so Luna climbed up onto the apron then to the top rope.
Luna held her midsection but dove off nailing the splash going for the cover. "One! Two!" Paige kicked out. "Two!"
"Luna with the splash but only gets a two count!" Tom said.
Luna held her stomach as she took shallow breaths before standing up as the fans started an NXT chant. She picked Paige up and threw her through the ropes but she held onto the ropes standing on the apron so Luna jumped off the second rope hitting a dropkick sending Paige to the floor.
Luna stood up before running to the ropes. "Luna! Measuring the champion!" Mike said as Luna dove over the top rope with a somersault taking Paige out. "Flying through the air! Taking out the champion!"
Luna and Paige laid there on the floor as the fans started another NXT chant as both women were down but Luna managed to get on her feet. Luna grabbed Paige and pulled her up tossing her into the ring before climbing up onto the apron.
Luna performed a springboard shooting star press pinning Paige. "One! Two!" Paige kicked out. "Two!"
Paige rolled to the corner and when Luna went after her Paige pulled Luna down face first into the second turnbuckle which set Luna up. Paige nailed the Page Turner pinning Luna and like before used the ropes.
"One! Two!" The referee then noticed Paige's feet on the ropes. "Hey! Get your feet off the ropes!"
"Paige got the Page Turner and just like two weeks ago used the ropes but this time the referee noticed Paige's feet this time so Paige only gets a two count!" Tom said.
"How many near falls are we gonna get here tonight?" Mike asked.
Paige held her head as if trying to figure out what she has to do to put Luna away this time so she lifted Luna up by her hair before body slamming her onto the mat. Paige stood up and went to the corner and started to climb the turnbuckle but once she reached the top rope Luna managed to sweep out her legs.
"Oh! Luna manages to take out Paige's legs but what exactly is Luna planning to do? What can Luna do to keep Paige down?" Tom asked.
"Don't waste time." Josh said.
Luna climbed up onto the top rope and slinged Paige's arm over her neck then delivered a falcon arrow suplex off the top rope. The fans cheered as the camera panned to Trish Stratus who was applauding Luna and cheering her on.
Luna crawled over to Paige pinning her. "One! Two!" Paige kicked out again. "Two!"
"Paige kicks out at two! Luna with a falcon arrow suplex off the top rope! But again Paige manages to kick out just in the nick of time!" Tom said.
"Luna and Paige are giving everything to win this match, that is how much the championship means to these two!" Mike said.
Luna stood up and pulled Paige up onto her feet locking in a side headlock before jumping off the top rope delivering some Stratus-Faction making the crowd jump out of their seats.
"Luna delivering Stratus-Faction! Paying homage to her Hall Of Fame mother Trish Stratus!" Tom said.
Luna pinned Paige again. "One! Two!" Paige kicked out. "Two!"
Luna started to hit the mat in frustration as she was unsure of how to put Paige down for a three count so Luna decided if she couldn't pin Paige she'll make her tap. So Luna grabbed Paige and started to lock in the Hell's Gate on Paige.
"Luna with Hell's Gate! Hell's Gate is locked in! Paige has nowhere to go!" Tom said.
Luna screamed at Paige to tap as Paige struggled to get free but couldn't so she forced Luna's shoulders to be down. "One! Two!" Luna broke the hold because if she didn't she'd possibly be pinned.
Luna pulled herself up while pulling Paige up then lifted Paige up before landing a spinning side slam or rather the Altercation pinning Paige. "One! Two!" Paige kicked out again.
"Paige kicked out! Again! Luna hit what she called the Altercation that spinning side slam but again Paige kicked out. Luna had Hell's Gate but Paige countered it. Now Luna has to try something else entirely!" Tom said.
Luna pulled Paige up but Paige hit a jawbreaker which stunned Luna and allowed Paige to get a breather. But when Paige tried to grab Luna she pushed Paige back and hit a superkick to Paige's jaw stunning her allowing Luna to lift Paige up onto her shoulders.
"Luna! With Paige up on her shoulders!" Tom said as Luna slammed Paige down with the Samoan Driver. "She calls that Heavens Fall!" Luna pins Paige. "Here's the cover!"
"One! Two! Three! Ring the bell!" The referee yelled.
'DING! DING! DING!'
Luna's music played as she rolled onto her back as the crowd was on their feet chanting Luna's name while she got up on her knees while the referee handed her the title. "Here is your winner and the NEW NXT Women's Champion! Luna!" Luna stood up with the referee raising her arm while she raised the title into the air.
"Luna did it! Luna did it! We have a new champion!" Mike yelled.
"Oh my god! That had to have been one of the most amazing matches I've ever seen!" Josh said.
"Guys take nothing away from Paige she pushed Luna as far as she could and was so close to retaining the title but Luna was able to pull out the upset. Let's take a look back at the end of this match." Tom said as they showed a replay of the end.
Luna rolled out of the ring and walked towards the crowd more specifically her family as she hugged her mother Trish and her father Ron.
"What an impressive victory by Luna tonight." Tom said.
Luna walked up the ramp standing on the stage raising the NXT Women's Championship in the air.
