Ruby hugged her knees tighter as she waited out the morning after the dance.
Ever since Jaune was kicked off Team JNPR a month ago and expelled due to Pyrrha telling Professor Goodwitch and not Ozpin, life at Beacon had become dull. Despite their initial reaction at the former leader of their sister team, which was all negative. Blake, Yang, and even Weiss came to terms on how much impact Jaune had on their lives.
To Blake, Jaune had no quarrels with the Faunus. In fact, he made it a point to tell her how much his family encourages her people to come to their lands. Their influence is so powerful, that Sienna and even Adam enjoy visiting the land, which surprises her. The White Fang was welcomed so as long as they did not recruit nor begin fights, of which Adam agreed not to do.
Yang never saw herself as a friend of Jaune but rather a boy who she saw as no threat to Ruby. After a while, she grew fond of the boy, and even made plans to hang out with him more. After the reveal she felt betrayed and did her best to keep him away from Ruby. However, after a few days, she gave up on her anger toward him and made it her mission to try and bury the hatchet so to speak.
Weiss took the longest to forgive the knight. She never did appreciate the boy's constant wooing. When his transcripts came out, she was the first to slap him and made it clear that she never saw him as an equal. Only after she realized after he left, how much joy he brought. Awkward joy that she had come to like. Now with him gone, it was as if the stress had become unbearable. Ruby almost never smiled, Yang was grumpier than usual, and even Blake became more secluded. It didn't help the face that they began to cut ties with NPR.
Ren and Nora were always trying to be friends toward them but Pyrrha was always getting the cold shoulder. It did not help in her favor when she revealed that she was seeing Cardin. When asked why after she held a deep crush on Jaune, she admitted that while she did love the Knight, she wasn't going to wait around for him to return her feelings.
Cardin took the opportunity and after a bit of convincing, took Pyrrha's first kiss. The worst part was when the Amazon said that Jaune had witnessed the whole thing. To say everyone was shocked was an understatement.
Even the leader of Team CMEN, Cinder Fall looked disgusted by the woman's actions.
Ruby, let go of her knees and took a deep breath. Class was going to start tomorrow so hopefully that will give her time to replan her week. Yang was doing push-ups while Blake was reading her book about ninjas and Weiss was studying.
After a while, the reaper sighed out loud. "I'm bored." She exclaimed. She turned to Weiss. "Entertain me."
Weiss turned and looked at her. "Ruby, I'm trying to study for the next semester." The white haired teenager spoke. Blake hummed before resuming her reading.
"Sheesh, calm down Ice Queen." Yang got up. "Ruby's not wrong. It is getting dull being cooped up here."
Weiss opened her mouth when there was a knock on the door. The forum girls looked at one another before Ruby zipped to the door. Opening it, she saw no one around but at her feet was a brown box. Picking it up and closing the door, she turned to her teammates, all had a raised eyebrow.
"What's that Ruby?" Yang asked.
"I have no clue." The reaper replied. Setting it down, she opened up to reveal a single dvd. It showed two people in different uniforms fighting each other, the weapons looked old and outdated, while the girls did not recognize the flags the cover showed. At the top, It's title were in huge letters: Gettysburg.
It show two men, one with white hair and a stoic look to his face, the other looked like—
"Jaune?" The girls exclaimed. The picture showed the knight in a blue cap and a huge chunk of facial hair. RWBY couldn't believe it. Jaune was in this story? Now it was something they wanted to see.
Ruby opened the case and put the disc in. Then each girl made themselves comfortable as they prepared themselves for a movie they will never forget….
Hi, so it's not the greatestprologue but it'll do for now. I'm writing this in my phone so bear with me. I always wanted to write about Gettysburg. The movie was so awesome to watch and after a while it made me think: What if I wrote a story and not only make it a react fix, but have Jaune in it. Of course I might be stepping on a few toes, but isn'tthat what Fanfic is? Besides, put a magnificent mustache on him and clean his hair and Jaune could very much look like Col Chamberlain.
As I said this is a rushed version of the prologue but I look very forward to seeing how this goes.
Let me know if there's anything that I should work on.
And yes, this is my first Anti-Pyrrha fic. Don't get me wrong, I adore Team Arkos (Though Team Dragon-Slayer is my favorite.), but I'm just stretching my legs.
