Another project getting off the ground, it's something that I thought for a long time about whether or not I would make it visible to the public, but the proposal for this pilot chapter captivated me, and if it is well received, I intend to continue with the story.

Remembering that English IS NOT MY NATIVE LANGUAGE, I translate from Portuguese to English so there may be some inconsistencies in grammar, I ask for readers' understanding.

Anyway, stay with the first chapter of 'Will the sun never rise'.

Mt. Silver, one of the most inhospitable and dangerous places on the planet. Home to some of the strongest Pokémon in the wild and an important natural landmark that divides the two great regions of Kanto and Johto.

But near the top, something unbelievable and yet little known would stand out if an unsuspecting person approached carefully. Near the end of the mountain's natural vegetation, a huge mansion comes to life, tucked into the steep part of the mountain, only the outside can be seen, but given the large size of the building, it is clear that the large part of the residence is built on the mountain. inner part of the mountain.

A small heliport was located just inside the walls in the mansion's 'backyard', where a custom-built military-grade helicopter was ready for use if necessary, it being impractical for any type of commercial aircraft to land in such hostile weather. The pilot was doing one last checkup before taking off when the owner of all that came out through the main door of the mansion.

A tall, intimidating figure covered in a thick cloak approaches with heavy steps, the face is covered by the cloak and the only thing that can be seen is a pair of blue eyes that shine metallic. As soon as the pilot saw the man, he saluted.

"Mr. Ketchum, everything is ready for us to leave. I'm just waiting for your order." In contrast to the pilot's professional tone, the man scratched the back of his head in slight discomfort.

"How many times do I have to tell you Erik, no "Mr." When you talk to me, call me Ash, I have enough of this shit when I'm at work." As if the wind itself had a life of its own, at that exact moment the upper part of the cloak fell from his head, revealing a face hardened by time that still maintains that spark of genuine naivety. The untamed hair once covered by hats was now a little longer and loose in the wind, along with an angled face framed by two 'z' marks on the cheeks and the blue eyes, the family's trademark.

Honorary member of the royal court of the Kingdom of Rota

Pokémon Master

Erik ignored the request and opened the passenger door of the aircraft, where Ash entered and quickly sat down. After the pilot closed the door and entered his cockpit, Ash gave the order. "We can leave now."

It didn't take long for the helicopter to take off and quickly reach the mansion in MT. Silver was invisible in all the snow. An aerial approach without the aid of highly advanced navigation equipment was practically impossible, not that the owner of all that cared.

For Ash Ketchum only one thing matters, he needs to find his future apprentice... and fulfill an old promise, after all he owes a Pokémon battle to an old friend.

Now if Pikachu wasn't so lazy he would accompany him, but Ash would never bother his oldest partner if he wanted some peace.

It didn't take long to locate the target, as it was on the outskirts of the city located at the foot of the MT. Silver, and with the helicopter's state-of-the-art radar devices, it was child's play to get an exact location of the target.

"Chief, target located, initiating approach." Ash opened the side door as the helicopter descended, and it was already possible to see the silhouette of who he was looking for.

Placing his hand on the safety support, Ash partially propped himself out of the helicopter, preparing to do something far too reckless for 99% of humans...unfortunately for them, Ash has something the others don't.

Aura, her heritage from a family much older than people had been led to believe.

With the wind blowing his hair, Ash put on the hood of his cloak and with a little aura managed to fix his clothing, preventing the wind from tearing it off. "Prepare for extraction after I neutralize the target, we can't waste time, I'm sensing other aura signatures nearby." Erik gave a thumbs up and that was all Ash needed to see before he jumped out of the helicopter, falling at high speed but without any fear of what would normally be certain death.

In his eyes was nothing but determination.

Life for a gym leader's son isn't easy, especially when his father is someone as famous and feared as Norman Maple. From very early in his life, he wished to be like his father, and one day the Petalburg gymnasium would be under his command.

But before all this he needs to make a name for himself, and since his Pokémon journey began, there have been ups and downs, but he has never managed to reach the top, always falling short at the decisive moments.

It reminded him of his best friend before he finally achieved his dream.

But now he has a bigger problem on his hands, much bigger than his internal struggle...women, or more specifically, a woman in his family.

"Max! Go get some firewood, I'm making the stew and we're running out of firewood." An annoying voice in the distance reminded him of the main reason for his bad mood, May Maple, his older sister and occasionally his great source of headache.

Max Maple – 18 years old

Hoenn Conference League runner-up

Semifinalist from Kanto Conference League

Top-4 da Sinnoh Conference League

It was supposed to be just a quiet training trip before the start of the World Coronation Series qualifying round, but unfortunately for him, May found him in Silver Town, where an event aimed at coordinators was taking place, and now he was invited (or rather, forced) to accompany her, as she 'missed' her little brother.

Like he would believe that shit.

The truth is that May just wanted an excuse not to have to prepare the camp while she was traveling, at least that would end in the next few days, as she was going to Sinnoh to meet a friend and rival from the region.

With a tired sigh, Max crouched down and picked up some wood without much difficulty. The years have been good for Norman Maple's son, he has maintained the style of clothing he had when he traveled through Hoenn and Kanto several years ago, but age has given him height and above all, a way to tease his sister. Finally all those years of being called a brat ended, or rather, they diminished, because she still had the ace up her sleeve as a big sister, not that it mattered, in the end he loves his family, but it would be too much to ask for a peaceful journey, away from the May's weirdness?

His reverie was interrupted by the unmistakable sound of a helicopter flying over where he was. Although unusual, it wouldn't be something that caught his attention... except for the fact that a person was leaning in an insanely dangerous way on the outside of the aircraft. And everything got even more insane when that person simply jumped out of the helicopter, falling at high speed... towards him!

"What?!" Was all Max could shout before he threw himself to the side, where the mysterious figure landed. A cloud of dust rose, and Max swallowed hard when he saw a tall figure, covered in a black cloak that left nothing to be easily seen, the only thing observable was the pair of blue eyes that glowed in an intimidating tone.

With a wave of his hand, the dust dissipated under the force of the wind, and then he pointed his finger directly at Max. "I finally found you, son of Norman."

Max slowly placed a hand on his waist, ready to release one of his Pokémon if necessary. "Who are you and why are you after me? "He asked cautiously, his years on the road had taught him that there were dangerous people on the loose and as he was the son of a gym leader, there was a possibility that they would try something against him to affect his family.

What Max didn't expect was the heavy laugh and a small round of applause from the man. "Look what I found, it looks like little Max has worked up some courage, unfortunately for you, your father, and not even your sister will save you!" As quickly as the man finished speaking, he disappeared, and in the next second, Max felt a sharp pain in his neck, falling into unconsciousness.

The man who knocked him out put his hand to his ear. "Target neutralized, I need you to extract us from here now!" Shortly after the order, the man tied Max's arms and legs and threw him over his shoulder.

The helicopter took just over a minute to approach the ground, and was just a few centimeters above the ground, ready to take off as soon as the man and package were on board.

Everything was going well until an order echoed through the trees. "Blaziken, Blaze Kick!" The Hoenn fire starter rushed forward at high speed to save her trainer's brother, but what she didn't expect was the moment when a human caught her blow... with one hand. With impressive strength for a human, the man threw Blaziken's leg away, and then landed a spinning kick to the solar plexus, knocking the air out of the Pokémon's lungs, which fell to its knees.

At that same moment, a woman appeared in the clearing, with a mix of anger and concern. Known throughout the world for her achievements in the Pokémon coordinator circuits, she is a decorated Top Coordinator and one of the biggest names in the sport. With brown hair tied in a green bandana and two V-shaped locks falling on the sides of her face, she has two sapphire eyes and a beautiful face that has lost some of its girlish innocence and gained the features of a woman. She wears the same outfit she wore in Johto on her first trip to the region, but with obvious changes in the size of her clothes, due to her natural growth and well-developed bust, a source of pride and headache for the women of the Maple family.

'Princess of Hoenn'

May is a kind girl who likes to see the best that life has to offer, and she has rarely been angry with someone, but in her entire life she has never felt hate...until now.

Who does this bastard think he is to attack his brother?!

Clenching her fist tightly when she saw her main Pokémon kneeling on the ground, May narrowed her eyes. "Release my brother, or I will make you regret it for the rest of your life." There was no shouting, she spoke in a neutral tone, but the tremendous animosity was palpable.

The man stopped for a moment and looked at the woman, before throwing Max into the helicopter and turning to face her. "Look who decided to show up, if she isn't the 'princess of Hoenn'." He gave an exaggerated salute in an ironic way, making May even angrier.

"I'll say it one last time, let go of my brother or I'll end you!" May spoke in a voice poisoned with anger. Blaziken was back on her feet, but she didn't want to risk an attack with her brother inside the helicopter, if it exploded, she didn't even want to think about what could happen.

The man crossed his arms and those electric blue eyes glowed with intensity. "In this world only one thing really matters. Power, pure and immaculate power. The strong rule the world and the weak crawl in search of a place in the sun, and if there is anything that truly infuriates me, it is seeing a pathetic creature trying to appear strong in front of me... now tell me, worm, who in the heavens or in hell gave you the ridiculous idea that you can order me something?" When the man finished speaking, May lost her patience, and was about to order an attack on Blaziken when something happened.

An insanely powerful pressure threw her to her knees on the ground, the air escaped her lungs, and sweat began to drip from her forehead. Trembling, she still on her knees looked at the man who was staring at her, still with his arms crossed. She tried to open her mouth to say something, but she just couldn't.

Shaking his head in denial, the man looked at her, and even though May couldn't see anything beyond his eyes, it made her ashamed of herself, she had failed to save her brother. "What a disappointment, I didn't even attack you, I just imposed a little of my will and look what I see, a pathetic excuse from a coordinator on the floor, exactly where a worm belongs. But enough wasting time with you, I have more important things to do, say goodbye to your little brother for me to your parents, I don't think you'll be seeing each other anytime soon." Laughing at his own 'joke', the man grabbed the helicopter's external support and then the aircraft took off, and all May could do was look helplessly into those blue eyes as the helicopter headed towards MT. Silver.

When the helicopter finally disappeared from sight, May punched the ground repeatedly in anger, crying in fear, shame and anger. She failed her little brother, and now he's somewhere on that mountain with that monster. Blaziken ran to her trainer and held her in her arms, trying to comfort her, but it was no use.

In her desperation, May reached into one of her pockets, pulling out an ancient item, but by far the most important thing she has carried with her since she began her solo journey through Johto all those years ago.

Half of a Ribbon was slightly frayed at the ends, something that reminds her of the person who taught her to be the coordinator and trainer she currently is, and when holding that Ribbon, May felt even more ashamed.

What would Ash think of her if he saw her like that?

He never gave up, even when he was about to drown in the ocean to save a temple of an ancient civilization, he literally put his life on the line countless times without any fear, and here is May Maple, the 'princess of Hoenn' crying with tears. pathetic way.

The Terracotta Ribbon reminded her of Ash, her best friend and mentor, and filled her with determination. She knows now what she needs to do, and no matter how scary that man is, May Maple isn't going down without a fight.

Standing up with determination in her eyes, she wiped her tears with her arm and let out a long-held breath, she looked one last time at the intimidating and deadly Mt. Silver and clenched her fists. "Blaziken, help me break down camp, let's climb that damn mountain and bring Max back home." Blaziken nodded and ran towards the camp.

May walked slowly to the camp, holding the Ribbon tightly, determined to do whatever it takes to save her brother, and to make her mentor proud, because if there's anything she learned from Ash, it's that you NEVER abandon a friend. , because friends are family, and Max, besides being his brother, is also his friend. And no one messes with the Maple family and gets away with it!

"Just wait a minute Max, your sister is on her way. Ash, please give me some of his strength." May whispered to herself, holding the Ribbon to her chest.

Ash sneezed right after closing the side door of the helicopter, it must have been the cold air from Mt. Silver affecting his nose. He took off his hood and sighed tired and embarrassed, why the hell did he follow Paul's advice?

Everything happened very quickly, Ash was afraid of what May would do if she found out that he knocked out Max, only Arceus knows what would happen. So Ash had the 'brilliant' idea of playing the villain to get away with it.

Paul's intimidation classes helped him create a persona of a 'mysterious ruthless trainer' that Ash uses to escape the press when he tries to walk the streets of Alola, or anywhere else, after all, the Pokémon Master is someone famous internationally. But even Ash was surprised by how he spoke to his old friend. "Man, May is going to kill me when she finds out what I did, and why the hell did I call her a creep? Paul said a well-placed insult can help drive away annoying people, but he didn't need to go to that point. I just hope she doesn't beat me up when she finds out." Just the thought of an angry May Maple sent shivers down his spine.

Misty is by far his most volatile friend, but there are only two people Ash would ever dare to intentionally anger. The first is Dawn, she is normally all positive and adorable, but when angry she turns into a scary woman, and the second person is May Maple. When she gets angry, it makes Misty's rage seem ridiculous in comparison. Serena doesn't count in this equation, the way she gets angry is unnerving, how can someone make you fear for her life with an adorable smile on her face?!

"At least she doesn't have a hammer." Ash consoled himself, but stopped his thoughts when he saw that Max was waking up. The first thing the young Hoenn trainer did was open his eyes, his mind was fuzzy because he didn't remember being in some kind of vehicle. A slight headache bothered him along with the noise of the rotors, which made him deduce that he was in a helicopter. Memories of what happened before he fell unconscious hit Max like an anvil, and he immediately began to shake, trying to move as he realized he was tied up.

A comical bead of sweat appeared on the back of Ash's neck, as he watched the ridiculous scene of his friend writhing like a cramped Caterpie. "That's the most ridiculous scene I've ever seen." Max heard that voice that made his spine shiver with fear, and he slowly turned his face, becoming quite confused to see someone he knows very well.

"Ash? What the hell happened? A crazy man attacked me and ended up kidnapping me, so why are you... here? Max almost lost the words in his mouth when he saw that same black cloak thrown on the seat next to Ash, and he quickly connected the dots.

It was Ash who attacked him.

He felt betrayed, why would Ash do that? And what happened to May? Max doubts she would let him get kidnapped without doing anything about it.

Ash scratched the back of his head in embarrassment and took a knife from his waistband. Max trembled in fear, what was Ash going to do? The imposing Pokémon Master approached with the knife...and promptly cut the ropes. "Okay, much better this way, look, I'm sorry, okay? The plan was to find you and take you to my house, but with other people around that could get complicated." Max slowly got up from the floor and sat in the opposite seat, staring with an unreadable expression at his friend.

Max's look was making Ash unnerved, he hates it when people look at him like that, as if he were an idiot. "So his infallible idea was to knock me out and tie me up, and then throw me into the helicopter and disappear into the sky? This is basically kidnapping!" Max's final scream made Ash look at the ground in shame.

"I didn't want anyone to recognize me, it would be shit dealing with the public, do you know how difficult it is for me to walk freely in cities nowadays? Where I am becomes a huge gathering of people wanting autographs, businesspeople offering sponsorship offers or journalists looking for a new headline. I couldn't take that risk, and believe me Max, you wouldn't want to associate with me directly in that situation, it's almost impossible to walk until everyone loses interest." As ridiculous as the reasoning was, Max managed to find logic in Ash's explanation, his father sometimes complains about the unwanted attention in Petalburg, and he didn't even want to imagine how bad it was for Ash who is basically a superstar.

With a sigh, Max placed a hand on his cheek. "Okay, now I understand, but what about May, how did she deal with it?" Ash looked at the window and Max started to get scared.

"Ash...what did you do? In the name of Arceus, tell me you did." Still looking away, Ash adjusted the collar of his black shirt. He wears only a black shirt and cargo pants along with black boots and gloves. Ideal for hostile climates like Mt. Silver. "Hypothetically I could have been attacked by a Blaziken, and after that I was scared and as I was already covered by the black cloak, I decided to play the 'villain' so that she wouldn't recognize me. I may have also insulted her to maintain a clearer image that I was a kidnapper or something, used some Aura pressure to intimidate her and left."

Max opened and closed his mouth a few times without believing what he just heard, it was ridiculous, but the worst thing is that this is something Ash would do, something so stupid that it ends up working.

But he insulted May, so that's a plus in his book. Let you know an important fact, Max is vindictive and NOBODY forces him to carry firewood and he manages to get away with it.

"What did you tell her?" Max was curious.

"I said she was a worm when May asked me to let you go, and after she fell to the floor from Aura's pressure, I said she was on the floor, where a worm belongs. Look, I just did what Paul would do, he was the one who taught me to act that way when I complained about the public harassment I suffered." Ash was afraid of Max's reaction, but he wasn't prepared for what would happen next.

The Hoenn trainer started to shake, and then burst into laughter, it took a few seconds for him to calm down and wipe a comical tear from his eye with his finger. "Oh man, I will never let this be forgotten, forget what I said, calling May a creep is more than enough, just get ready because that hot-headed idiot is going to come after us."

Ash shivered in fear, on one hand he was relieved that Max wasn't angry anymore, but the fact that May was coming after him in anger doesn't bode well, well at least his house is hidden at the top of Mt. Silver, so it is impossible for her to find her home.

It's impossible, isn't it?

"Boss, we are ready to land, hold on to the seat supports until we touch the ground." As the aircraft landed, Max was impressed by the huge mansion partially covered in snow on the roof that stood out on the mountain, it was easily the biggest house he had ever seen. Who would have thought that Ash would be financially loaded... although that is expected of a celebrity.

Upon landing, the pilot opened the side door and immediately Max felt perhaps the coldest of his life, while Ash didn't seem bothered at all. "A...Ash, how are you not shaking?" He said through teeth chattering from the cold, and Ash shrugged.

Pointing at himself before a blanket of blue energy enveloped him, the Pokémon Master jumped onto the snow-covered ground. "I'm an Aura user, the cold doesn't hit me as long as I have energy in the tank. Put on my cloak, it should help with the heat, and I don't want to see you die of hypothermia." Max didn't even think twice and took the cloak, it didn't completely solve the problem, but at least he didn't feel like he was going to die from the cold. Knowing that Ash is an Aura user wasn't a surprise, he had personally seen his friend's strange ability in the Rota Kingdom, but it was still impressive that he actually learned how to properly use it.

"Erik, I want the security team to make raids on the main access routes to my house in the next few days, there is a chance that May Maple will come looking for her brother, and I want to prevent anyone from dying on my mountain. Avoid direct contact unless it is a life or death situation, I want to be notified when it arrives near my home." Erik saluted and turned on his communicator to relay orders. Max was initially confused, but it didn't take long for him to gape as he saw a dozen snowmobiles with two men on each, heavily equipped and even armed, beginning patrols in the surrounding area. Three other men approached the helicopter and after saluting Ash, they entered the aircraft and shortly afterwards Erik took off.

Since when did Ash have a small army?

Without caring about his friend's surprise, Ash placed a hand on Max's shoulder, getting his attention. "I brought you to my house for a reason and I need to know your answer. Max Maple, I have been following your career over the last few years, and I see a lot of myself in you, a promising trainer, but who has not yet found that spark that will make the hidden potential within you finally appear. So I'm formally offering you the chance to be my apprentice until the start of the World Coronation Series. So, Max Maple, will you accept?" Ash stared at him intensely, making Max swallow hard.

It was sudden, unexpected and honestly, Max was a little scared. What if he wasn't up to that honor? What if he disappointed Ash? Several questions plagued his mind, but before all of that was the desire to become a better trainer, he wants to be someone worthy of one day challenging the person in front of him in an official battle.

The answer was easily discovered.

Extending his hand, Max smiled his best smile. "Of course I accept!"

Ash accepted the greeting with a smile of his own, and they both headed towards the mansion's entrance. "Today I'm going to show you a little bit of the mansion, but from tomorrow the training starts, and I guarantee you Max, you're going to hate me at first. I will destroy you and then mold you into a champion-level trainer, so rest well, the first day of the rest of your life begins at sunrise."

Max swallowed hard but nodded, he knew what he was signing up for when he accepted the offer, and if he has to go through hell to achieve strength, he will go with a smile on his face.

When Ash opened the doors to the mansion, Max's mouth dropped open in shock, how the hell does someone build something so big and obviously expensive in one of the deadliest places on the planet?!

A huge, well-lit room welcomed the duo, with 12 maids and 1 butler forming a human line at reception. "Welcome Master Ketchum." Everyone spoke at once, and the butler approached. He was a man with very well-groomed gray hair, a neat beard and an impeccable suit. "Master Ketchum, from what I see, your trip was fruitful." He said as he made a small respectful bow as a way of welcoming the property owner.

Ash placed his hand on Max's back and pushed him slightly forward. "How many times do I need to tell you that you can just call me Ash. Pierre, this is Max Maple, my friend and guest for the next few months, please take him to one of the rooms and prepare him for dinner, and if he has any Pokémon with him, I will leave the infirmary and greenhouse available for proper care." With a nod, Pierre turned to the maids and clapped his hands twice. "You heard Master Ketchum. Prepare dinner and Mr. Maple's guest room. Please accompany me to his quarters. The Pokémon in your possession can be taken care of after sleeping arrangements are properly sorted out." Still impressed by what had just happened, Max followed the man up the side stairs, and the maids promptly went to carry out their tasks.

And all Ash could do was sigh in defeat. "How many times do I have to tell them they don't need to call me master?" As if the heavens heard his prayer, an unmistakable sound caught his attention.

"Pikapi!" The unmistakable Ace of the World Monarch ran through the halls of the mansion and jumped into Ash's arms. Pikachu nuzzled his trainer's cheek, eliciting a laugh from the man holding him in his arms.

"I missed you too friend, did you behave while I was away from home?" The yellow rat nodded and jumped on the shoulder, his rightful place as the Ketchum team's oldest partner. Ash scratched his friend's cheek and walked around his property.

Nothing explains the peace he feels when he arrives home, although he loves Pallet and the house he grew up in with all his heart, there is something different about the feeling when he arrives at his mountain home.

As the saying goes, Home is where the beginning is.

She's been in many dangerous situations, but never has anything reached this point, where a member of her family is in danger and she can't do anything to defend him. But it won't stay that way, May has decided that she will do whatever it takes to save him, but even in her barely contained anger she knows that she doesn't have enough strength to sell that man.

This kind of strength is not something that can be overcome overnight.

Dialing a number on his Pokétch, a familiar face appeared on the device's screen. "Hi May, are you already leaving for Sinnoh?" A girl with blue hair and an unmistakable face for lovers of pokemon contests greeted May from across the ocean. She hasn't changed her choice of clothing since she began the journey, which now reveals a woman who has grown in both talent and beauty, and as much as May wanted to tease her rival and friend about the short skirt that barely managed to hide her well-developed behind , now is not the time for jokes.

Max's life is at stake.

"Dawn, I need your help." At that same moment the bluenette's smile disappeared, and Dawn Hikari, the 'jewel of Sinnoh' took her place.

Dawn Hikari – 19 years old

Sinnoh Grand Festival Champion

Sinnoh Walace Cup Champion

World renowned stylist

Top Coordinator

With concern, Dawn looked at her friend on the other end of the line. "What happened? I can get to where you are in a few hours if necessary." May was grateful for the girl's readiness, they may be rivals, but she had met few people as kind as Dawn.

With a sigh, the bomb was thrown to the fan. "A man kidnapped my brother and took him somewhere to the top of Mt. Silver, and he was so strong...I felt worthless, I couldn't protect my family, and now I need help. I'm going to climb that damn mountain and bring my little brother home, but I won't be able to beat him without someone supporting me. I'm sorry for asking this Dawn, it's a dangerous trip and I should have called the police, but against that kind of force...I don't think any police officer would have stood a chance." Seeing her friend's haggard face made Dawn very angry. When she found the bastard who did this, she was going to show why she doesn't mess with Dawn Hikari's friend and get away with it!

"Say no more, go to the nearest town and buy some supplies, I'll bring some oxygen cylinders and clothes for extreme cold, I'll meet you at dawn with your Pokétch's tracker. And May, don't worry, we'll bring him back...but didn't you think to ask Him for help?" The brunette raised an eyebrow for a moment until she understood who Dawn was talking about.

If there is anyone capable of defeating anyone in a battle, it is certainly Him.

May scratched the back of her head in trepidation. "Look, I haven't seen him in almost 6 years, and I don't want to look for Ash to ask for a favor, he's the Pokémon Master and he must have more important things to do...". Dawn didn't let her finish speaking, looking with a mix of sadness and anger.

"Stop this shit, even if Ash was unreachable I doubt he would deny helping us. Look, he's our best friend and mentor, and if I knew that idiot, I'm sure he'd drop whatever he was doing to help you. But I understand the fear, even I'm afraid of trying to find him...it's been a long time since I last saw him." Mentioning Ash Ketchum was taboo between them, as they both know how important he was in their lives, and even though May and Dawn tried to believe that they had already gotten over losing contact with him, it was still difficult to remember that.

May slapped her face, startling Dawn who opened her mouth in shock. "No more thinking about things that won't help. Thank you for helping me Dawn, I'm going to town to get the supplies and we'll meet at the start of the mountain trail, and please don't tell anyone what happened, if the press gets involved I'm afraid of what could happen to Max ". With a nod Dawn showed a small smile.

"No need to worry, we will bring your brother home safely, no matter how strong this kidnapper is, he doesn't stand a chance against two Top Coordinators. See you soon May, I'll call you when I get to Johto." Dawn turned off her Pokétch and the call ended, leaving May alone again.

She looked up at the sky that was starting to darken and clenched her fist with determination. "Okay May, no time to be afraid, you have a kidnapper to destroy and a brother to save, I can't fail...because I'm sure he wouldn't fail." She held the Ribbon again and then put it in her pocket before heading towards Silver Town. It would be almost an hour's walk, but there would be time to arrive before dark.

Unbeknownst to Ash, his actions started a chain of events that would permanently change his life. Now, whether it will change for good or bad, only time will tell.

And so ends the pilot chapter of my new story. Thank you in advance to everyone who reads, and if you have any suggestions or questions, feel free to comment and I will read all the comments.
