Chapter One:

A Text From Attorney Hall

One luxurious afternoon in the Mushroom Kingdom, OnyxKing67 was sitting back in a comfy sofa in the sitting room of Peach's Castle, holding a cup of tea in his hand.

After working hard on his newest video, he was ready to relax before he started making the next one. However, he wasn't relaxing by himself. On the opposite sofa across from him, Donkey Kong's cousin Funky Kong sat with the Mario-looking YouTuber, wearing a black suit opposed to his funky tank top and shorts.

OnyxKing had invited Funky Kong to appear in his video as Lawyer Kong, who was Nintendo's ruthless monkey attorney and the central villain in SMG4's Lawsuit Arc. Funky had plenty of legal training in preparation for his role as Lawyer Kong and, in fact, he loved the outfit and the persona.

Both Funky and OnyxKing were on good terms like friends usually were. Seeing the funky monkey in the lawyer attire, OK67 wasn't worried about being sued, especially as there was a slim chance of it happening as long as he didn't cross the line with his videos.

Plus, despite wearing the outfit, Funky wasn't a real Nintendo lawyer at this time.

"Thanks for inviting me to cameo as Lawyer Kong in the video, OnyxKing." Funky said happily as he sipped some of his tea.

"It never hurts to include nods to SMG4..." OnyxKing said, "...plus, I was already using Nintendo content and including some SMG4 cameos. And since Mario was going to court, why not throw in one more SMG4 nod with you as Lawyer Kong? Man, I bet SMG4 was pleasantly surprised by that one."

"How I can guarantee you that he saw it." Funky chuckled, "He may have gone away to Australia, but you two never lost contact. He's phoned you from time-to-time and you talk on Twitter, but that doesn't change how you strive to be distinct from SMG4 in many ways. It would be nice if we invited him to C&D with us. That's short for 'chill and drink' by the way, LOL!"

CRASH!

Part of the ceiling suddenly crumbled and a mustached Italian in red-and-blue made his appearance, landing flat on his face.

OnyxKing and Funky Kong made sure to cover their tea in time, ensuring it wasn't ruined by flying debris. Mario stood up, looking at the both of them with keen eyes and a goofy grin that rivaled SMG4's Mario.

"Hello there." He said, emulating Obi-Wan Kenobi, "Did somebody call for Mario?"

"Hey, Mario." Funky greeted, "We were just having tea, you want a drink?"

Mario looked at the Kong and OnyxKing with a derp-y expression. But, just before he could answer, a buzz filled the room and OK67 reached into his pocket, pulling out his phone. "Well, someone just texted me." The yellow-blue YouTuber quipped, he tapped the screen, "I wonder who could be texting good old OnyxKing today and... Well, well, would you look at that?"

"Someone wants an autograph?" Mario asked.

"No. SMG4 texted." OnyxKing showed him and Funky Kong the text message, allowing them to see a blue-colored Mario cap-like icon on the screen, "He wants to know if we're available for a meet up at... Attorney Hall?"

"Why 'Attorney Hall'?" Funky questioned, "Wouldn't it make more sense to meet with him somewhere else like in Toad Town or Hyrule Castle or Inkopolis?"

"Oooooh, Mario smells something fishy." Mario commented.

"Honestly, I'm down for meeting up with SMG4." OnyxKing remarked, "It may be odd going to an Attorney Hall to see him, but at least we get to see SMG4 either way. I don't see anything odd about it, but I suppose we may have to be cautious just in case."

Funky Kong sipped all of his tea and put the cup aside. "Want me to wear my Lawyer Kong garb?" He offered.

Mario looked at the Kong cousin and chuckled. "I don't see an issue having a big monkey buddy of ours wear attorney gear at a place called Attorney Hall, Mario thinks it would be appropriate and I think you may have fans there."

"It's decided." OnyxKing said, "We're going to this Attorney Hall."
