Chapter 30

Warmachine375- I mean, I guess I can do all that with the High Elves. I haven't considered them much, but I will consider them after that review.

No, I don't think it's possible for the Twilight Sisters to know demon-slayer magic, nor do I see it actually killing Chaos daemons. For the Fairy Tail universe, you need Ethernano to use magic and even then most people aren't able to cast magic, despite having Ethernano inside their bodies. I guess you could make an argument for them to use it if experiments were done to them or if they find a magical artifact to let them do so, but honestly, I prefer them not to use magic. I wanted to have them be non-magical as possible to show that non-magic people can still be effective against mages, at least to a certain extent.

And we'll see about the fate of Lyon and his mates later on. Some may die and others live. Who knows?

Austin- Uh no. I won't do that. If this was Victor Saltzpyre from Vermintide, I might consider it, but I don't see it with Naestra and Arahan. I highly doubt they'll do something like that in public for everyone to see. They're too disciplined for that, even Arahan.

Besides, a second look at that thing, and one can clearly see that it isn't from the Skaven. It's too clean.

The Opportunist- If I'm going to include the Skaven, it'll probably be Thanquol or another Skaven character. Thanquol because he could accidentally find a way to Earthland and keep it for himself so that he can take over the council or something. If one of the Great Skaven clans, on the other hand, find it (AKA Moulder, Skyre, Eshin, and Pestilens.) first, then they'll probably send the right hand of their clan leaders to establish a strong foothold in Earthland.

I mean, think about it. Even without Warpstone, the resources and knowledge of Earthland can exponentially increase the strength of an individual clan. Even if they didn't, then the simple fact they can grow their numbers and stockpile their warmachines and warbeasts without any of the clans figuring out until it's too late will entice even Eshin to keep it from the other clans.

So, when the Skaven do appear, it's probably going to be really bad for Earthland.

Village

"Get up, all of you, it's time to go on a foolhardy quest." Said Arahan as she looked at the three teens around her.

"*Whines* Just five more minutes." Said Lucy as she tried to get up.

"We go now." Said Arahan with a glare, annoyed at Lucy. Gray and Natsu, meanwhile, simply stretched their limbs and got up.

"*Yawns* Might as well." Said Gray while looking out the window of their hut, seeing that most of the villagers have turned back to their human form. Looking back at Arahan, he noticed that Naestra wasn't around. "Any ideas on where to start looking for a way to lift the curse?" Before Arahan could speak, Naestra returned to the hut.

"Yes." Said Naestra, having heard the question as she made her way back to the hut. "After you, all went to sleep, Arahan and I did some investigations of our own. It seems that there's an ancient temple not far from here. It's a good place to start our investigations."

"May as well." Said Gray as he put on his clothes. "Let's get going." With that, once everyone was fully awake, they all left the village to head for the temple that the Twilight twins discovered. As they walked through a road in the Island's forest, Gray began asking some questions to Naestra.

"So, Naestra, does Diederick know about you guys going on this quest? Heard that yesterday was your day off." Asked Gray, feeling a bit guilty that they had to give up their day off to come to get Natsu for his recent insanity.

"Yes." Said Naestra. "He knows. He also knows that we're planning on staying here until the job is complete. He will understand, given the pain that villagers are going through." How he knew was because she sent Gwindalor back home to both inform Diederick about their situation as well as give him instructions to inform Makarov on what the situation is on Galuna Island as well as what their decision was regarding the unauthorized job, giving Gwindalor a letter to her son to help expedite the whole process. After he sent the message, she ordered Gwindalor back at Galuna island, just in case they needed the Great Eagle's help on this job.

"I see." Said Gray. "Sorry for making you guys miss your day off. I imagine you wanted to spend it with your son."

"We did." Said Naestra, looking off in the distance. 'Diederick has grown so quickly. I remember fondly the days that he was a baby. The affection I had for him while holding him and feeding him. How I miss those days. Though if you ask my sister, she'll say she won't miss them." Gray chuckled at that.

"Yeah, that sounds like your sister." Said Gray. "So, Diederick is planning on joining the military? Think he'll go big?"

"If you mean he'll try to advance the ranks to become a commander in charge of military forces, then I believe he has the capacity to do so." Said Naestra. "I've yet to see him in a commanding role yet, so I remain skeptical. But I'm also hopeful that he has what it takes to be a leader."

"If it helps, I think that he does." Said Gray with a smile. "He might have what it takes to become a general in the army. Hopefully, you both get to see it while you're still employed in Fairy Tail."

"I think that as well." Thought Naestra with a hint of sadness. Being elves, both Naestra and Arahan lived far longer than any human. Typically living up to a thousand years, if they haven't been killed by disease or war, elves had a lifespan beyond that of humans. An elf can see up to ten, maybe even eleven, human generations before they die. And neither Naestra nor Arahan were normal elves either. They were functionally immortal like their queen Ariel. They could potentially see the great-great-grandchildren of everyone in the guild right now and they wouldn't change in appearance at all. While that meant that she would live past Mirajane and her siblings, something that hurt Naestra, it also meant that she'll live to see Diederick die of old age.

Despite having the genealogy of a daemon prince like Be'lakor, Naestra wasn't sure that Diederick was immortal like Be'lakor. He was part human, after all, and she was certain that some of their morality was inherited by Diederick's human mother. He may live longer than most other humans on account of his daemon heritage, but she was certain that he'll die eventually of old age. And that hurt her.

She loved her son. Having her maidenhood intact, Naestra never had children, but she always found them adorable and a joy to be around. On the rare occasions, she had time to be with her people, she saw the various Asrai children, what few are allowed to roam free, playing around and just doing child-like things. It always made her smile at seeing such innocence in such a harsh and unforgiving world as her old world was. It made her long for children of her own, but she never had an opportunity to find a suitable partner. She was always too busy with tasks given to her and Arahan by Ariel to have time to court an Asrai male. Not to mention Arahan would never approve of her finding a male, even one that was so much like her in traits and personality. So, in some ways, Diederick was a good substitute, even if she'll only have him for a shorter amount of time compared to an elven child. Perhaps, she'll even be able to be a grandmother if Diederick found a mate of his own and produced a child with her.

As she was thinking these things, she suddenly heard the sounds rumbling behind her. Turning around, she spotted something large coming towards them. It was too far to clearly discern, even with her elven eyes, but it was clearly coming straight towards them. Yelling at everyone about something approaching, she drew her bow with her sister doing the same while everyone else was scrambling to get ready for a fight. A few minutes later, the object that Naestra heard soon arrived, and both Twilight Sisters were in shock at what they saw.

"A Skaven Rat Ogre!?" Thought Naestra as she saw a giant rat in a maid costume jump towards them before releasing some sort of gas from its mouth. As everyone from coughing from the gas, Naestra got a good look at the rat and was relieved to see that it wasn't a Skaven construction.

The Skaven were a race of rat-men that were, after the Beastmen, the rivals of the Asrai of Athel Loren. Perhaps even more so than the Beastmen because unlike the cloven ones, the Skaven were an actual threat to Athel Loren beyond their association with the Chaos Powers. Their near-limitless numbers made whatever invasions, though few, into Athel Loren some of the most devastating in their history. Combined with their powerful, if unreliable, warmachines, magic, and warbeasts, they were a threat that Naestra was unsure can ever be defeated, much like the Forces of Chaos.

At first, upon seeing the giant rat, she thought she saw a Skaven Rat Ogre, one of the most common warbeasts created by the Skaven clan Moulder, the clan responsible for the creation of the Skaven's various warbeasts and monsters. But upon closer inspection, she saw that it was far from a Skaven creation.

Most, if not all, Skaven monsters had some of their fur gone, limbs replaced with prosthetics to make them deadlier, and scars all over their bodies as a result of experimentations done to them by insane Skaven packmasters. This rat, however, was nothing like them.

It had all its blueish fur intact and healthy. Its teeth were shiny and perfectly grown, something that no Skaven ever has, and it wore clothes that weren't raggedy at all. If this was a Skaven creation, then it was honestly their greatest creation ever. Though she seriously doubted it was a Skaven creation and believed it to be one of the many creatures found in Earthland. One that was probably hostile towards them, unfortunately.

As the gas dissipated, Naestra noticed that Natsu was knocked cold on account of the gas while the others were recovering from the attack.

"Nasty!" Yelled Gray before glaring at the rat.

"You're telling me!" Yelled Lucy while Happy was holding his nose in disgust. Arahan said nothing before she notched a normal arrow and let it loose against the rat, where it bounced off its hide. Laughing at the attack, the rat was about to charge at them when another arrow went up its nose, courtesy of Arahan again, causing it to screech out in pain. Stomping around as it held its nose, the rat was distracted enough for everyone to retreat to a more advantageous position.

"Gray, use your magic! Try to create an icy road behind us!" Yelled Naestra while she held Natsu, having grabbed him before she ran.

"You got it!" Yelled Gray, getting her plan. Gathering his magic, he created a slippery road made of ice behind them. The rat, oblivious to the ice on account of the pain it felt from the arrow in its nose, finally managed to get the arrow out before charging after those that attacked it, only to end up slipping and crashing down on the ice where it began to slide towards the Fairy Tail group. Seeing this, Gray made a thick ice wall just behind them and jumped out of the road along with everyone else. They then watched the rat hit the wall, headfirst, knocking it out.

"Nice work, Gray." Said Naestra as she placed Natsu on the forest floor, where he began to recover from the gas attack.

"Nasty." Groaned out Natsu. Naestra just nodded at that while looking at the rat.

"It doesn't look like a native of the island." Said Naestra as she eyed the rat. "And I doubt it's one of the villagers."

"Yeah. It's much too big to be one of them." Said Gray as he observed the knocked-out rat. "Got a bad feeling about this. I'm starting to think the curse was done by some dark guild."

"Would make sense." Said Lucy as she eyed the rat. "But why? What's so important on Galuna Island for a dark guild to put a curse on them?"

"That's something we're going to find out." Said Arahan before bringing out her spear and going over to the rat, fully intending on killing the rat. Before she could do so, Natsu finally recovered and yelled out.

"That gas was so nasty!" Yelled Natsu as he jumped to his feet. "Let me at that rat! I'm going to beat that thing to a bloody pulp!"

"Already dead unless you're looking to attack a corpse." Said Arahan as she inspected where to aim her spear to penetrate the rat's skull and stab its brain. Before she could determine that, the rat suddenly recovered and let loose another gas attack, this time unleashing it in a much larger radius than before.

"Oh not again!" Yelled Natsu as he covered his nose this time while everyone else did the same. Before Arahan could do anything, the rat got up and ran away, rampaging through the forest, knocking trees down as it got away from the Fairy Tail group.

"Coward." Said Arahan as she looked where the rat left. She was about to pursue it when Naestra held her back.

"We have a task to accomplish, Arahan." Said Naestra as she eyed the new path that the giant rat created, knowing that it'll come back for them later. "Let's not deviate from it any longer." Arahan scoffed at that but complied with her sister. With that, everyone began to make their way towards the temple that both Arahan and Naestra spotted last night. Soon, they arrived at the location and the teenagers were in awe.

"It's so old." Said Lucy upon seeing the ancient temple that Naestra and Arahan discovered.

"No kidding." Said Gray with slightly widened eyes. "I heard that this island used to worship the moon, but I didn't think it would be this ancient."

"What's with the weird symbols?" Asked Natsu as everyone entered the temple. He spotted a few weird crescent-shaped objects on the temple entrance and he found more of them inside the temple's only chamber.

"They're symbols of the moon." Said Gray with some annoyance. He then looked at the symbols on one wall and frowned. "And they're all purple too. Like the moon is at night. Think this place has some connections to the curse?"

"It's possible." Said Naestra as she thought of possible connections this temple had with the curse affecting the villagers. "Perhaps the curse originated from this temple and whoever created it in the first place?" Gray hummed at that along with Lucy as they tried to think up possible theories surrounding the temple. Natsu, meanwhile, bored out of his mind looked at the floor and saw how old it was.

"Man this place is really old." Said Natsu as he stomped his foot on the floor. "I doubt this floor can handle much." Before anyone could stop him from stomping on the floor any further, the ground around everyone suddenly gave in and everyone fell towards an underground cave system below the temple. Screaming all the way, everyone landed roughly on a pile of rocks and rubble, the fall being relatively short that no one was seriously injured.

"I'm going to kill you." Swore Arahan as she glared at Natsu, causing him to shiver in fright, while everyone else got up. Before he could defend himself, Gray glared at him.

"You stupid flame-breath!" Yelled Gray. "Can't you go on one single mission without breaking something!?" Before the two can continue to argue, Naestra felt a cold breeze coming from another chamber. Believing it was a way out, she motioned for everyone to follow her, which they did after a few glares were sent towards Natsu from Gray and Arahan. Soon, the group entered a massive underground chamber that held an opening that led to the surface. Yelling out in excitement at the opening, Lucy was about to tell everyone about the opening when she saw what else was in the chamber and gasped out loud in shock. And so did Gray, but with that shock was horror.

"No." Said Gray as he widened his eyes in horror upon seeing a giant monster encased in ice. Something that shouldn't be on Galuna Island. "It can't be. How!?" Upon hearing that and the fear and horror in Gray's voice, Naestra held the boy as he stared at the monster encased in ice.

"What is it, Gray?" Asked Naestra, concerned for the Ice wizard. Looking at the massive monster in ice, she saw that it was around the size of a Greater Daemon of Chaos. Whether it was as strong as them was something she didn't know. However, that wasn't something she needed to know right now. What she needed to know was why it caused Gray to react the way he did upon looking at it.

"What is that thing?" Asked Happy as everyone walked towards the giant figure, noticing its features were demon-like.

"It's…it's the demon Deliora." Said Gray while Naestra held his shoulders. "It's the demon of destruction and the one responsible for the death of my village." Everyone grew shocked to hear that news.

"Wait. You mean this thing destroyed your old home?" Asked Natsu in shock, fully serious. Gray couldn't help but nod.

"Yeah." Said Gray as he looked at the demon. At first bewilderment at seeing it here, but that soon began to change into angry. "That…that fucking monster is the reason that my mother and father are dead along with everyone I ever knew when I was a child! And now it's here! It shouldn't be here! It shouldn't! How the hell did it get here!" Everyone, even Arahan, was shocked at seeing such a reaction from Gray. There were times he acted out of his icy personality, but that was mostly when he saw things that completely bewildered or embarrassed him. Or if Natsu was being completely stupid. This time. This time this outburst was out of anger and hatred. And it stunned everyone.

Before anyone could ask any questions, they suddenly heard footsteps coming towards them, and that caused them to hide amongst some stalagmites. Now out of sight, the group spotted a pair of odd individuals.

One rather short human with blue hair and bushy eyebrows, wearing a green coat. With him was a half-naked human with dog-like qualities. Wearing only pants, the dog man spoke to the other human.

"Is this where you heard the voices?" Asked the blue-haired man with prominent eyebrows towards his companion.

"Oooon." Confirmed the dog-like individual without answering the man's question. "In the day hours, I'm just exhausted. Sorry man."

"*Sighs* Did you get some of the Moon Drip on you, Toby?" Asked the man as he looked at his companion. "You have dog ears and stuff."

"I did not!" Yelled the now named Toby. "It's decorative! You of all people should know that, Yuka!"

"Don't yell. I was only teasing you." Yuka replied with a smile. That received a groan from Toby. Before he could respond, they were suddenly interrupted with the arrival of a young woman with pink hair arriving. The woman wore a black and pink dress and had her pink hair in twin tails.

"Yuka, Toby." Said the pink-haired woman as she entered the cavern. Upon seeing her, Yuka spoke out.

"Sherry." Said Yuka simply as she caught up to them.

"I have terrible news." Said Sherry with sorrow in her tone. "Angelica was harassed by someone."

"It's just a rat!" Toby shouted, annoyed.

"Angelica is not just a rat." Defended Sherry. "She is the hunter that gallops through the darkness… and…love."

"What the heck is wrong with these bunch of fools?" Whispered Arahan harshly to her sister, her bow out in case they needed to kill them. Lucy just nodded in agreement as they all watched the new arrivals talk amongst themselves.

"They're not from the island." Confirmed Natsu. "They have a different scent from the villagers."

"Not only that, but they don't look cursed either." Said Happy. "Though I'm not sure about the guy with the ears."

"Intruders, huh," Yuka mutters as Sherry finished her explanation of what happened with the giant rat. "And just as we're gathering moonlight this evening."

"We gotta get rid of them before the Cold Emperor hears about this." Said Sherry.

"Agreed." Said Yuka. "Since they've obviously seen Deliora, we can't let them leave alive. Nothing can stop its release." Sherry then walked towards the frozen demon and touched its prison of ice.

"Eternal sleep to the intruders, in other words...love." Stated Sherry, her voice the same as it was before.

"Death!" Toby shouted in annoyance. "We'll kill them!" With that the three left to go after the intruders, not knowing that they were all in the cavern with them. Once they were all gone, Arahan pointed her bow at where they left and was about to let loose arrows when Naestra stopped her.

"Not yet." Said Naestra. 'That'll just cause more complications and we don't need those when we still have no idea what's causing the curse on the villagers."

"Agreed." Said Lucy. Arahan growled at this but sheathed her bow. "Plus, we didn't know if there were more nearby. Better to be safe than reckless." Arahan glared at Lucy for that, making her shiver in fright. She then looked at the frozen demon and spoke up.

"This moon drip they talked about." Said Arahan as she looked at the demon. "Does this have any connection to the curse on the island?"

"It's possible." Said Lucy. "But, more importantly, what's it got to do with this demon?"

"And even more importantly, how did they find out where Deliora was sealed?" Questioned Gray with a glare at Deliora. "And why would they bring it here?" Upon hearing those questions, Naestra looked at Gray and spoke up.

"You know about this demon, Gray?" Asked Naestra. "Your tone and rage on it suggest a connection with it. A tragic one." Gray sighed at that before nodding.

"It was sealed in the northern continent, in Burago," The ice mage answered while staring at the demon. "Where it terrorized the whole continent for years before it was stopped."

"How do you know that?" Questioned Natsu as he looked at his rival. Gray looked down at the floor before responding.

"Because my master, Ur, sealed it herself, at the cost of her life." Everyone stared in shock at him.

"Really?" Asked Lucy in shock. When Gray nodded, she looked at Deliora. "You think that this demon has anything to do with the curse on the island?"

"I wouldn't be surprised if it did." Said Gray. "Deliora may be imprisoned, but I wouldn't be surprised if it can subconsciously use its powers against the island inhabitants."

"In that case, let's destroy it." Said Natsu with a smile. "Bet it'll only take a little to destroy this ice so we can punch the heck out of that…" Before Natsu can finish that sentence, Gray suddenly punched Natsu in the cheek, sending him to the floor. Everyone looked at Gray in surprise at that.

"No one is destroying that ice!" Yelled Gray while glaring at everyone, surprising everyone even more.

"Gray." Said Naestra with worry upon seeing the hate and anger in his eyes "Calm down. There's no need to get violent." Gray glared at Naestra, but upon seeing the calm and serene look in her eyes, he saw something that shocked him. Blinking he looked back at Naestra and saw the black-haired elf looking at him calmly. Taking a deep breath, he spoke up, calm again.

"Sorry." Said Gray as Natsu got up from the punch and glared at Gray, angered from the sucker punch. "That ice. It's what's left of Ur. My mentor" Surprised at that, Naestra asked him to elaborate. "My mentor, Ur, used the spell 'Ice Shell' on Deliora and trapped him in that ice block. It's a spell that encases the target in unbreakable ice. Not even the most powerful flame mage can melt it."

"But there's a cost, isn't there." Said Naestra. "Ur sacrificed her life to cast it, didn't she?" The down crested look from Gray after she said that question gave the black-haired elf her answer.

"But the group from before said they're planning to release it." Said Lucy, shocked to hear all this from Gray, pitying the poor guy. "So there must be trying to free it somehow. But why…"

"Does it matter?" Growled Gray as he looked back at Deliora. "They had the nerve to bring this monster here, and now they want to release it." Ice then began to gather in his palms. "Whoever this Cold Emperor is, he's going to pay for disgracing Ur's legacy!" Naestra looked on in concern at Gray while Arahan smirked, liking this new Gray.

"Oh yeah!" Yelled Natsu, excited. "Let's go find these guys and knock the ever-living daylights out of them all!" Before he could move away, Lucy spoke up.

"Hold on, we got to figure out where they're getting this moon drip from." Said Lucy. "They said that they're harvesting moon drip and it looks like it's for Deliora. Shouldn't we figure out where they're harvesting it from first?"

"She's right." Said Naestra before looking at the frozen demon before her, noticing how similar it was to a Bloodthirster, Khorne's Greater Daemons. "This Deliora and the curse on the island are, somehow, related to the purple moon. And they also said they'll be gathering moonlight, which means they're probably harvesting that tonight."

"So you want us to stack out for the night!?" Yelled Natsu while Arahan rolled her eyes. "That's boring and would take forever for things to happen! We'll die of boredom till then." Naestra glared at Natsu for that before beginning to give out orders.

"You all take some rest." Said Naestra, looking at all the teens and Happy. "Arahan and I will take up guard." With that, the decision was final and they all went to find a place to rest. Upon finding one, most of them went to sleep. Gray, however, didn't sleep and simply looked at Deliora, who was still in his sights, while Naestra and Arahan were on guard duty. Upon seeing him awake, Naestra went over to Gray and spoke out.

"Tell me what happened, Gray." Said Naestra as she sent down next to the Ice Mage. "Tell me why this Deliora enrages you so much." Gray just looked at Naestra a moment before speaking up.

"My entire village was destroyed by that demon when I was just a young kid. I lost my parents that day along with everyone else I ever met and loved." Started Gray, remembering that awful day with perfect clarity. "Ur found me amongst the ruins and took me in as an apprentice. She taught me how to use ice magic. She became a parental figure for me along with another boy she took in. A boy named Lyon Vastia. In time, I grew to love her like a second mother." Naestra couldn't help but smile at that, even though she knew that it would end in tragedy. She saw Gray smile a bit as he recalled happier times with Ur before he frowned and tears began to form.

"But then I made a huge mistake that cost Ur her life." Said Gray before explaining. "I learned of where Deliora was and tried to take him on. Me. A stupid kid that wasn't even twelve at the time. I fought Deliora, but just as you expect, I lost and nearly lost my life. Ur came and battled Deliora in my stead. But even though she was stronger than me, she couldn't beat a demon as powerful as Deliora. In the end, she sacrificed her life by using Ice Shell against Deliora as it was the only thing she had that can actually beat the demon, but in the process, the users' body gets in the process."

"Why is that?" Asked Naestra, voice full of sorrow at all she heard. Gray just looked at the ice encasing Deliora.

"That ice that's covering Deliora." Said Gray. "That's what's left of Ur. Her body was used up as a sacrifice to make the ice as tough as it is. That's why Deliora can't escape from it. Ur's life force is keeping him in there."

"I see." Said Naestra, looking at the ice. "So that's why you reacted so angrily when Natsu said to crack the ice. That ice is the last physical thing of your master. Your parental figure."

"Yeah." Said Gray as the tears began to flow from his eyes. "And it's all my fault. If I hadn't been so stupid and reckless, Ur would still be here and I wouldn't have the guilt over causing her death." As the tears began to flow down, he remembered how Lyon blamed him for Ur's death and how they separated on bad terms. How he berated and hated himself for months until he got over it enough to head to Fairy Tail and join it. As he remembered all the bad things about his childhood, Naestra surprised him by hugging him.

"It's okay." Said Naestra gently as she placed Gray's head near her chest, allowing him to hear her heartbeat. "Let it all out. There's no need to hide all this pain and self-loathing with me. Just for a moment, Gray. Don't be the stoic ice mage. Be the hurt child and let out your emotions." Gray, at first resisted, but eventually relented and began to cry, tears dropping down onto Naestra's chest armor. Having experience in this sort of thing, Naestra held Gray as comfortably as she could while wearing her armor. Stroking Gray's hair, she looked at Arahan, who looked back with a look of annoyance, but beneath it was a look of pity, having heard Gray's story. As all this was happening, Gray looked up at Naestra and, for a moment, he didn't see the elf as what she normally looked like, but rather as Ur. His old master. This left him confused as Ur was vastly different from Naestra in personality and appearance.

Ur had short purplish hair while Naestra had long black as midnight hair. Ur was more upbeat, and abrasive compared to the more stoic and calmer Naestra. And last, of all, she had expressed her emotions far better than Naestra ever could as all the time that Gray knew Naestra, she always was in control of her emotions and never let anyone know how she actually felt about certain subjects. And yet he couldn't help but think of Ur when he was looking at Naestra right now. That just made him cry harder as the feelings of regret and pain came back harder, causing Naestra to focus back on Gray in an effort to calm him down.

Looking at this breakdown of the ice mage, Arahan normally would have insulted the human, calling him a weakling, but her connection with him stayed her tongue. It didn't help that Gray's actions were something that she would have done as well. She would have attacked this Deliora by herself and tried to defeat it on her own. And though she was strong, she knew that she stood no chance against this Deliora. Immortal as she was, she was just a mere elf in terms of strength and skill. But did that matter if her emotions got the better of her and blinded her to that fact? Emotions of rage can blind people to a great many things, especially the ones that one can easily see without much effort. And if her actions caused the death of one of her loved ones, would she ever forgive herself? She didn't know, but she knew that she would never forgive those that killed them and would want to ensure the sacrifice of her loved one was not in vain.

Looking at Deliora, Arahan looked back at the crying Gray and made a vow to help him in his plight to stop whoever was attempting to free Deliora from its prison.
