Chapter 34
Evowizard25- No, Chaos won't instantly corrupt everyone. That won't happen, I assure you.
The Opportunist- For now, it's only Oxyotl. Maybe Kroq-Gar will be involved as well, but right now it's only our Chameleon Skink and whatever followers he brings with him.
You need to make an account in order to us the PM messaging system, I believe. It's a relatively easy process.
Yes, I do believe all three would cause ruckus if that's what you mean by interesting action.
Naestra
Night
"That should be sufficient enough to garner the attention of the Council." Said Naestra as she and Makarov finished the letter intended for the Magic Council concerning Phantom Lord and their most recent actions against Fairy Tail.
"Indeed." Said Makarov as he inserted the letter into an envelope and closed it. "I hope that the Magic Council will see reason and punish Phantom Lord for their transgressions. Whether they like Fairy Tail or not, having guilds fight amongst each other is something that cannot be allowed to happen. And this is a serious matter that must be addressed before it gets out of hand."
"By that you mean Phantom forcing our hand to do something rash, yes?" Asked Naestra, knowing that was what Makarov meant. Makarov just nodded his head.
"*Sighs* Much as I wish for it not to be true, you're correct Naestra." Said Makarov. "Ever since I humiliated Jose all those years ago, he's been itching for a way to get back at Fairy Tail. I've no doubt that he would do anything to get back at Fairy Tail for that humiliation."
"I've heard about that humiliation." Said Naestra, remembering what Makarov was referring to. "Jose badmouthed Fairy Tail and you quickly humiliated him by beating him soundly, yes?"
"That's the one." Said Makarov as he sighed. "Jose was always one to hold a grudge. I fear to the point he may do something drastic as start a war with us."
"Do you believe that Jose ordered Gajeel to attack us?" Asked Naestra as she placed a hand on Makarov's shoulder, something the master appreciated.
"I wouldn't be surprised if he did." Said Makarov. "I wouldn't even be surprised if he took things a step further and actually have his guild attack members of our guild or those affiliated with it." That caused Naestra to actually widen her eyes in shock. For a brief moment, she feared that Diederick was in danger of being targeted along with Daxter and his family. Upon sensing the distress from Naestra, Makarov cursed himself before reassuring Naestra that Diederick was safe from harm. That even Phantom Lord would not dare to attack civilians. "There's a difference between being aggressive and being stupid. I don't think Jose or any of his wizards would dare to attack the people. That would not only get the attention of the Magic Council for sure but also the Fiore King involved as well. Not to mention other guilds as well." Relieved slightly, Naestra nonetheless was worried about the safety of her son and the Ironcrows. Still, she trusted Makarov and hoped that the Magic Council will send help soon for she doubted that Jose was done with them.
"I sincerely hope that the Magic Council will send someone to deal with this situation soon." Said Naestra, causing Makarov to nod in agreement. "Otherwise Natsu may act recklessly again and get us all into trouble."
"Agreed." Said Makarov, recalling the Galuna Island event and the punishments that came for him and Happy after that. Needless to say, the two were not going to pull a stunt like that ever again. At least he hoped so. That boy sometimes never learns his lesson. "However, I must ask you, should we be forced to go to war for whatever reason, are you and your sister prepared for it?" Naestra sighed at that. Much as she wanted to say no, she was, in fact, prepared for war to occur between both Fairy Tail and Phantom Lord. Much as she wished and hope for a peaceful resolution to this conflict, she knew that there was a very real possibility that war would occur between the two guilds. Whether it be from their own reckless members, the Magic Council refusing to aid them for whatever reason, or, perhaps the worst of all, Phantom Lord doing something so drastic that they have no choice but to go to war with them. What that is, she didn't know and she hoped to never find out. That Phantom Lord would be reasonable and stop their aggression. Still, Makarov deserved an answer to his question and Naestra will give her answer.
"Should war come to us all, then you will have my bow along with my sisters'." Said Naestra reluctantly. Makarov nodded upon hearing that.
"Thank you for honestly answering the question." Said Makarov. "Though truth be told, I too wish for a peaceful resolution to this conflict. For you and I both know war between legal guilds is something that will end in disaster for us all." Naestra nodded at that, grateful that Makarov was acting so responsible and mature in this situation. There were many Glade Lords and Ladies within Athel Loren that would have gone to war for this transgression. In fact, many of those Lords and Ladies would go to war for less, to Naestra's regret. Thus, she was happy and relieved that Makarov was better than them. It showed just how mature humans can be compared to their kin, who often hold grudges over the pettiest of things and looked down on others simply because they were not elves, which often leads to the death of many, both elves and non-elves.
"If that is all, master, I wish to return back to my home." Said Naestra as she looked at Makarov, causing him to nod.
"Of course." Said Makarov. "I will make sure this letter is delivered to the Magic Council immediately so that this situation can be over with sooner rather than later." Naestra nodded gratefully to Makarov before leaving, intending on returning home and to be with her son and sister. As she was walking down the street of Magnolia, she suddenly had a feeling that something was afoot and that something involved Phantom Lord. Before she could even contemplate this, she suddenly heard the screaming of a young girl. Faint, but enough that Naestra's elven ears could hear it. And to make matters worse, it was the screaming of a young girl that she knew. It was the voice of Levy McGarden, a fellow member of Fairy Tail.
A member of Fairy Tail, Levy was the leader of a team in Fairy Tail called Shadow Gear, which was comprised of her and two young men, Jet and Droy. And much like most others that were children when Naestra and Arahan initially joined Fairy Tail, she saw Naestra as a mother figure due to her kind nature and ability to empathize with them all. Unlike the others, however, Levy was a lot calmer and less destructive than the others. Something that Naestra was grateful for. There was only so much destruction that one could take, even for one like her.
Like Mirajane and her siblings, Levy was someone she was close to. Not just for her maturity, but also because of her curiosity. They want to learn about everything and anything. Not because she wished to get stronger, no, but to completely understand it and because she just wanted to. It was something that Naestra found adorable and sometimes helped the girl when she was at the guild, finding the books that would completely enthrall her, much to Naestra's amusement. If it would not endanger her, Naestra would have told her about Naestra's old world and all its wonders and darkness. But Naestra knew better. If Levy found out about her world, she'll eventually learn of Chaos and want to know more about it and that was something that Naestra knew would make her susceptible to the corruptions of Chaos. For to know of Chaos was to risk oneself to the influences of the Chaos Gods, especially if they dig for more information about them and their chaotic realms.
But enough of that, Naestra heard Levy scream and that was enough to make her run towards the sound. Based on the sound it was far away on the other side of town, it may be already too late, but Naestra dared not to give up. And if Levy is dead, then she would avenge her.
Running past the few people up and around this late, Naestra jumped a food cart and straight into a small market. Upon arriving, she found a most horrendous sight. Sprawled around the market, which was now destroyed with destroyed carts and stands everywhere. And amongst them were the beaten members of Shadow Gear. Both Jet and Droy were knocked unconscious and, from the looks of it, were beaten to the point that they were barely breathing. And Levy, Naestra's heart stopped for a moment when she saw that she was being manhandled by a tall, brawny man whose right arm was an iron pillar. And on Levy's stomach was the mark of Phantom Lord. Gasping out loud, Naestra caught the attention of the man holding Levy, causing him to turn around and spot Naestra. This caused him to smirk before dropping Levy into a heap and turning to fully face her.
As Naestra saw earlier, the man was tall and muscular. But along with that were metal studs on his nose and arms that actually went well with the long spiky black hair the man had. Abnormal for humans, the mad had red eyes with slitted dark pupils and had no visible eyebrows, instead, those were replaced by metal studs. Wearing a black, sleeveless tunic with studded edges and some strange wing-like ornament made out of feathers, the man was intimidating to look at, but Naestra faced beings far worse than a fearsome-looking human. Plus, with what she saw around him and what she saw him do, she was enraged with him. If she can guess, he's the one responsible for Levy's scream as well as the damage around him. That was confirmed with what the man did and said moments later.
"*Laughs out loud* I'm guessing you the one called Naestra, huh?" Asked the man as he looked at Naestra with a cocky smirk on his face. "Can't believe you're called the mother of Fairy Tail if you let stuff like this happen." He then looked down at Levy. "You're really bad at protecting these weaklings. I mean this is your turf and you let me just waltz in and wreck your guild hall and attack your own members." Naestra just narrowed her eyes at what the man said, knowing what he was doing and who he was now. This was Black Steel Gajeel and he was trying to make her attack him.
He was trying to goad her into attacking him. He wanted her to strike first so he can spin a tale that Fairy Tail was the aggressor and not him, thus freeing his guild from any accusations that Fairy Tail has come up for the Magic Council. Such a ploy will only work for the aftermath of the attack on Fairy Tail, but that would be sufficient enough to delay any type of consequence on Phantom Lord for the attack on Fairy Tail's guild, even more so if Gajeel was significantly injured. It doesn't exactly look good for Fairy Tail if Phantom's number-one wizard was seemingly attacked by Fairy Tail wizards after they sent a plead to the Magic Council for intervention against Phantom. At least that was what Naestra believed Gajeel was trying to do. In reality, he just wanted to fight her. To see just how strong she really was. Her sister wasn't here, but that didn't matter to Gajeel in the slightest. One sister was enough for him.
"And you must be Gajeel." Said Naestra as Gajeel smirked at that. "Why have you attacked us again, Black Steel Gajeel? Wasn't destroying our Guildhall enough? Now you have attacked our own members physically. Why have you done so?" Gajeel just laughed out loud at that.
"Why don't you come here and find out!" Yelled Gajeel as he transformed his right arm into an iron sword, readying himself for a fight. To his shock and surprise, Naestra just shook her head.
"No, I refuse to fall victim to your machinations." Said Naestra as she looked upon Gajeel. "What I will do is take my fellow guildmates and leave you alone. They require medical attention after what you've put them through. And their safety and wellbeing is something that I prioritize over acquiring vengeance for what you've done to them. So please, if you may be ever so kind, allow me to have them sent to a hospital nearby to have their wounds treated. And do not attempt to stop me. If forced to, I will incapacitate you in order to get these people to safety." With that, Naestra walked towards the downed members of Shadow Gear and began to calmy gathering them up in one area. As she approached Levy, she eyed Gajeel carefully, who just eyed her back as she grabbed Levy and held her within her arms. Once she did so, Naestra looked at Gajeel fully, looking deep into his soul before speaking up again.
"I see that there is more to you than what you want people to believe. Or, perhaps more accurately, what you believe yourself to be." Said Naestra, causing Gajeel to raise an eyebrow. "There is a good soul within you that is being suppressed with your affiliation with Phantom Lord, who are undoubtedly allowing your more negative aspects to dominate. In time, your positive aspects will leave you, making you nothing more than just a puppet for Phantom Lord." Upon hearing that, Gajeel glared at her and placed his sword at Naestra's throat, something that caused Naestra to back up slightly for Levy's sake.
"You don't know a damn thing about me!" Yelled Gajeel as he looked at Naestra, enraged at what she said about him, wanting more than ever to beat this woman to an inch of her life. "I ain't no damn puppet to anyone and I ain't going to let a two-bit bitch from your weak-ass guild to tell me what I am and what I ain't." Acting calmy, which just angered Gajeel more, Naestra spoke up.
"I believe you do." Said Naestra. "Your guild, if what you've shown me today is indicative of their behavior, is nothing more than a rabble of thugs and brutes that know nothing of comradeship and compassion among other things. What you did today is behavior more in line with a Dark Guild than a legal one, especially this most recent action. While I do not believe that all should follow Fairy Tail's example in how a guild should operate, the kingdom really does not need more destructive guilds, your actions are condemnable and need to be punished. For how can the citizens of Fiore trust the guilds when some of them commit vile acts as what you've done today. Would you do the same to children what you've done to these three? To the homes of the innocent if your guild master ordered you around like a hound?" Gajeel growled at that and was about to speak up when the full implications of Naestra's words hit him and shut him up. Thinking about it, her words made a sort of sense to him. Before he could speak, Levy started to groan out in pain. Hearing this, Naestra looked down on her and realized her injuries were more severe than she realized. She needed to get her, Jet, and Droy to a hospital immediately.
Thus, she looked around for a cart and found one that was sizable enough for all three members of Shadow Gear and still give them room. Thanking Isha, she hurriedly but carefully placed Shadow Gear into the cart and began to move it. After some struggle, she managed to move the cart and began to move it to the nearest hospital that she knew of. As she did so, she passed Gajeel again, who was looking over at Naestra, unsure if he wanted to fight her anymore now.
"I sense the good soul within you, Black Steel Gajeel." Said Naestra. "Try as you did today, your warm heart still beats within you. Suppressed and faint, but still present within you. That is why, along with other matters that require my attention first, I'm not fighting you right now. That and it would actually help your guild over mine." Gajeel just stayed silent as Naestra began to leave. Just before she did, she gave Gajeel a warning. "That good soul of yours will extinguish if you continue on this dark path for Phantom Lord. And a man of your talents does not deserve to fall to darkness. Not when they have a kind soul underneath it all." Gajeel said nothing as Naestra walked with, Shadow Gear in tow. Once she left, Gajeel pondered on what Naestra said about his soul and that Phantom Lord was going to turn it bad or something like that.
Later
Naestra
"I know that this is all sudden, but can you take these three in? They're badly injured." Said Naestra as she and a doctor looked at the wounded team Shadow Gear. After arriving at the hospital she knew was still open, Naestra quickly grabbed a doctor and showed them Shadow Gear.
"No, of course not." Said the doctor as he examined Shadow Gear. "My god. What happened to these three? It looks like they faced down a wild animal and lost. And this mark." The doctor, a fine young man with brown hair, touched Levy's mark on her stomach. A mark of Phantom Lord. "This looks permanent unless you're going to treat it with magic. My god. Did Phantom Lord do this?" After seeing Naestra nod, the doctor just shook his head in shock and disbelief. "What the hell. I knew they had a rather troublesome reputation, but this. I can't believe they did something like this. Not to mention what they did to your Guild Hall. I don't understand. Don't they realize what will happen if stuff like this continues? At this rate, we're looking at war between your guilds. Or worse, the Magic Council coming down hard."
"Yes." Said Naestra in agreement, wondering herself. "You are indeed correct on everything." Moving on, she asked the doctor if it's okay for them to stay, which caused him to nod.
"Of course. We'll send the bill to the guild master along with a message on what happened. I don't think he'll mind at all." Said the doctor. Naestra, knowing this to be true, gave the doctor her thanks before leaving the hospital. Once she did, she sighed and wondered how everyone would react to this. No doubt with hate and disdain. Perhaps to the point that war will be inevitable between Fairy Tail and Phantom Lord. Makarov can tolerate many things, but an attack on his children? That was something she knew he cannot tolerate. And she couldn't help but understand. Any self-respecting parent or grandparent would not tolerate an attack on their children and will do anything to make sure that justice was served, even if it forced them to do something against the rules. She would know. Naestra herself would kill those that dared to hurt her son or her sister as she's done many times to her regret. Emotions can influence one's decisions drastically, especially those of a protective nature. And she can only imagine it'll be the same here. That meant that Naestra had to reel in everyone. Prevent them from making the situation even worse than it already is. If she failed, then things were not going to end well for either guild.
As she was thinking of ways to rein in the more emotional members of the Guild, including her sister and Makarov, she suddenly sensed the presence of the Iron Dragonslayer again. Sighing, she asked Gajeel to show himself, which the Dragonslayer soon did.
"Tch, you got some good senses, lady." Said Gajeel as he dropped down from the roof he was on to stand in front of Naestra. "Not a lot of people can sense my presence."
"Then those people were not as versed in the art of detection as I am." Said Naestra as she looked at Gajeel, sensing and seeing that he meant no harm for now, rising her curiosity a bit. Did her words get through to him? "Why have you come to meet with me? Is there something that you wish to discuss?" Gajeel just grunted before speaking up.
"You really care a lot about other people, right?" Asked Gajeel as he looked at Naestra in the eye. "Including those that are your enemies? Heard the rumors about you being too merciful for your own good."
"Mercy is not a weakness, Gajeel." Said Naestra as she looked at the young man with her jade-like eyes. "Mercy is what makes us human. It's what separates us from the Dark Guilds. And it's also one of the things that keep us from falling into darkness. Something that you're in danger of falling prey to." Gajeel just scoffed at that.
"Let's get this straight lady." Said Gajeel. "I ain't falling victim to any sort of darkness. I do what I do because you Fairies are the enemies of Phantom. That means your my enemies as well. And I don't give mercy to my enemies."
"Even if they serve the same kingdom?" Asked Naestra. When Gajeel gave her a grunt of confirmation, Naestra sighed. "Gajeel, I understand that you are loyal to your guild, but you and your guild have done this day is nothing short of insanity. Your actions have run the risk of starting a war between guilds. If they haven't with what you did to our Guild Hall, your attack on our members will certainly do the trick. Makarov is protective of that calls themselves a member of Fairy Tail. Even more so to those that are young men and women. And you just attacked three of them, even branding one of them. His rage will be so great that even I cannot quench it. Not when it's combined with the fury of everyone else in my guild."
"Good." Said Gajeel, causing Naestra to raise an eyebrow, keeping her emotions in check and hidden from Gajeel. "Master Jose wants a war with you fairies anyway. Might as well do it when they're all jacked up in rage and anger."
"But why?" Asked Naestra, perplexed at this. "We're both legal guilds that abide by the rules of the Magic Council, one of which forbids inter-guild wars. Why do something that will result in both of our guilds being punished by the Magic Council?"
"I don't know." Said Gajeel. "Jose wants a war with Fairy Tail and that's what he's going to get. He didn't give me a reason why other than to get Fairy Tail to declare war on us."
"And you're fine with that? Blindly following orders?" Asked Naestra as she looked upon Gajeel with disappointment in her eyes. "Gajeel your blind loyalty to your guild will only bring about its destruction along with mine. I do not know much of Jose, but his orders border on the insanity. Even if there is a clear victor in a war between our guilds, the Magic Council will ensure that any victory will be a pyrrhic one when they bring down their wrath upon both guilds. Has that occurred to you?" Gajeel just stayed silent, pondering this. Truth be told, he never considered the Magic Council to be a threat to Phantom Lord. Jose said they were a bunch of weaklings that couldn't do anything against Phantom even if they tried. Yet here was Naestra saying that they did and that it was suicide for Phantom to have Fairy Tail declare war on them. Normally he would not give a damn about what a Fairy would say, but Naestra's words left an impact on him.
He knew she was perhaps the only Fairy with an actual brain. Even the Fairy Tail guild master had a few screws loose in his head. Naestra, on the other hand, had all her faculties in check. Had to if she's considered the most mature woman in that crazy guild by literally every other guild out there. A bit naïve and cautious for his tastes, but her track record spoke for itself. She always seemed to know when there was something off about a job or her surroundings. Always seemed to know if something was off or when there was a flaw in a plan that could get someone hurt or killed. It's like she has a sixth sense of danger. Heck, she's probably the only Fairy that Master Jose actually respected. So to have her telling him that the entire plan that Jose made was a bad idea made Gajeel think that the Magic Council wasn't something he wanted to mess around with.
Still, Master Jose wanted this war so that they can take that Heartfilia chick without much issue, and what master Jose wanted, he's going to get. He owed him for taking him off the streets and offering him a home. Plus a way to punch people without anyone daring to get in his way of telling him it's wrong. He was about to tell her that very thing when Naestra suddenly pushed him out of the way, just in time for a barbed bolt to hit her instead of him. As blood splattered from the bolt to Naestra's throat, Gajeel turned around to see a cloaked figure disappearing into the darkness, a crossbow in hand. Gajeel growled at that and was about to pursue them when he heard a thud. He looked to see Naestra on the floor and blood starting to form around her. Widening his eyes in alarm, Gajeel wondered what to do.
The right course of action would be to take her to a hospital in Fiore, but his loyalty to Jose and Phantom Lord made him question that decision. Jose wanted a war with Fairy Tail and he promised him that he'll get his war, no matter what he had to do in order to make the Fairy Tail guild declare war on them. He was originally just going to thrash their Guild Hall and injury those three clowns from earlier, but an even bigger opportunity came in the form of the injured Naestra before him. Without her around to temper everyone's rage, a war between the guilds was all but certain. If he hadn't talked with her prior, Gajeel would have taken her to the main Guild Hall without question, but since he had, he was doubting himself.
Not only was he making him doubt the entire plan from Jose, but he also, much as he hated it, owed her his life. That bolt would have hit him and most likely killed him if she didn't push him out of the way and take the bolt instead. To take her to Jose was something he was reluctant to do now as he wasn't exactly sure what Jose will do to the injured Naestra. He respected her, he knew that, but he wasn't sure if that was enough to make him not use her as a way to get back at Fairy Tail for all the stuff they put him through years before. Eventually, his loyalty to Phantom Lord prevailed and so he grabbed Naestra and ran towards the Phantom Lord Guild Hall in Oak Town. On the way there, he was going to get some bandages and medical supplies for Naestra. It wouldn't do if she died on the way there. At least for him.
Meanwhile
"That should get the Fairies to declare war." Said the masked assassin that attacked Naestra and Gajeel as he watched Gajeel take Naestra away from Fiore and to one of his guild's many halls. Tasked with observing Fairy Tail by the head of the Dreadwater family, the assassin did so while master Xyphas was out reporting to Lady Lilea about an anomaly in the Caelum Kingdom. It was he that saw what was going on between Phantom Lord and Fairy Tail as of late and so took an opportunity to escalate the situation further.
Thinking this will please Lady Lilea, the assassin departed quickly to prevent himself from being detected by anyone. As he departed, the assassin couldn't help but which guild would come out on top of the war that will now inevitably occur between Phantom Lord and Fairy Tail.
Later
Phantom Lord Branch in Oak Town
Gajeel
"I'm fucking back!" Yelled Gajeel as he barged right into the Oak Town branch of Phantom Lord. Upon seeing Gajeel with a woman in tow, everyone began snickering, amused that Gajeel brought a woman to the Guild Hall. That ended when Gajeel yelled out for Juvia Lockser, the only female member of the Element Four, their elite cadre of mages, to show herself. As fellow Phantom Lord was wondering about this behavior from Gajeel, a blue-haired woman wearing a blue coat with a shawl on top of her head. Her long azure hair was tightly curled at the base of her neck. Looking at the Iron Dragonslayer with her midnight blue eyes, the woman spoke up.
"You summoned me, Gajeel?" Asked the woman in a monotone voice while opening up an umbrella. This was Juvia Lockser, a water mage and complete stoic woman that always spoke in a monotone voice, at least to Gajeel's recollection, and was the closest thing that Gajeel had to a friend in Phantom Lord. He never really cared about everyone else in the Guild, seeing them as simple guildmates and nothing more. Upon seeing Juvia, Gajeel grunted before speaking up.
"You know some medical stuff." Said Gajeel before grabbing her by the arm and dragging her away from the main hall of the guild, uncaring to the stares that they were receiving. "This woman got a bolt in her throat and I need you to patch her up. Did what I could but I ain't no doctor. That's why I need you to patch her up, rain woman." The woman, Juvia, just raised an eyebrow as Gajeel led her and the other woman, who he was holding up in one arm, to an empty room. Laying the woman on the bed, Gajeel explained the whole situation to Juvia.
"This woman here is Naestra of Fairy Tail." Said Gajeel, causing Juvia to widen her eyes in surprise. Looking at the woman, Juvia could see that the woman's appearance matched that of descriptions she heard about what Naestra, the hooded woman of Fairy Tail, looked like. Long black hair and a face that made Juvia slightly jealous being possessed by the woman and a very slim body that looked like it was crafted by gods.
Looking at the woman on the bed, Juvia saw that there were hastily assembled bandages around her throat, dark with blood. It was a decent enough job, but it was clear to Juvia that Gajeel was no practitioner of the medical arts. She herself wasn't as well, her knowledge being more of a hobby rather than as a profession, but she should be able to do a better job than Gajeel did. Thus, went to work.
"You should have taken her to an actual doctor, Gajeel." Said Juvia as she began to unwrap the bandages. As she did so, she noticed that Naestra's hood was down down, sprawling her black hair everywhere. Unable to help herself, she touched a few strands, feeling just how silky soft they were. Jealous at just how soft Naestra's hair was, Juvia immediately squashed it down and began focusing on the bandages.
"Well, I have my duty of the guild, Juvia. Master Jose wants a war with Fairy Tail and this is probably the best way to do it. Baring going after the Guild Master himself." Said Gajeel as Juvia frowned at hearing that. She knew their master wanted a war with Fairy Tail and this was a bit extreme. She was about to reprimand Gajeel when she saw Naestra's wound and blinked in surprise.
"Gajeel, there's nothing wrong with her." Said Juvia, catching Gajeel's attention, as she observed Naestra, finding no wounds on her.
"The fuck you mean, rain woman?" Asked Gajeel as he looked at Naestra. He was about to tell Juvia what's wrong when he saw Naestra's wound and was dumbfounded to see it wasn't there anymore.
Like, when he bandaged her up and pulled out the bolt, there was a sizable hole where the bolt was and blood was spilling out rapidly. It was a pain in the ass for him to both stem the bleeding and wrap the bandages around to prevent more blood loss. Now, there wasn't any evidence there was a wound at all. All that remained of proof of the wound's existence was the blood around the patch of flesh that filled up the bolt hole.
"What the hell?" Said Gajeel, stumped beyond belief. How the hell was this possible? He didn't know of any magic in the world that was capable of instantly healing a person while a person was unconscious. And he was also pretty sure that healing magic was lost magic as well. So how did Naestra recover so quickly? "How the hell did this chick manage to recover so quickly?" Before Juvia could ask something, she noticed something about Naestra's hair, specifically around where her ears were, and so she investigated. When she discovered what it was, she gasped out loud.
"Gajeel." Said Juvia in shock as she looked at Naestra's ears. "I think I found I found the reason. She's an elf." Racking her mind at this, she tried to pass it off as her simply having knife-shaped ears. A few humans had them, but Juvia somehow knew that wasn't the case here. This was a genuine elf, and her mind was in overdrive upon this revelation. She heard stories about elves. Ranging from tiny ones the size of children to being taller than humans by several feet, depictions of elves varied on what they looked like.
"The fuck is an elf?" Asked Gajeel, causing Juvia to stare at her friend incredulously. Before she could say anything, she heard a voice behind her.
"A prize, Gajeel." Said a tall, slim man with dark red hair as he made himself known. Smiling a grotesque smile, the man looked at Naestra with his green eyes, excited at this revelation. "A very rare and never before seen prize. One that I never thought would ever be real."
The Next Day
Fairy Tail Guild Hall basement
"Where is my sister, master?" Demanded Arahan as she glared at Makarov with barely contained rage. When Naestra never came back home, she instantly made her way back to the guildhall and confronted Makarov, who was the last person that saw her. Looking at Arahan's rage-filled eyes, Makarov tried to placate her, although he was clearly failing. There were only two people in Earthland that could calm Arahan down and both were unavailable right now.
"Arahan, I'm afraid that I don't know where Naestra is. The last time I saw her, she was leaving my home and that's it." Said Makarov honestly, causing Arahan's anger to flare up again. Without thinking, Arahan grabbed Makarov by his collar and hoisted him up to her eyes. This caused several guild members watching to try to help the master and get Arahan to back off but Makarov ordered them to stand down. Before Arahan could do anything, Lucy came downstairs with a doctor. The same doctor that Naestra talked to last night.
"Master, Levy and her team were injured last night!" Yelled Lucy in fear and sadness. Makarov widen his eyes in shock along with everyone else baring Arahan as she was too focused on her missing sister to care. Once all the eyes were upon the doctor, the man explained what happened last night. Once he was done, the mood in the basement of Fairy Tail was instantly darkened as everyone baring Lucy began to emit a dark aura around themselves. The doctor gulped upon seeing it for it meant things were about to get hairy. A lot hairy.
