Dad
Giuseppe "Joey" Pastorelli appeared on the screen.
It worked. Annabella Pastorelli was happy.
"Hi Joey!" she said.
"Hi Annabella!" he answered waving his hand.
The camera moved to Enzo.
"Hi Enzo!"
"Hi!"
Giovanni arrived.
"Hi Enzo, how long not seeing you! How are you?"
"I'm better… now!"
Francesca and Danny appeared on the screen.
"Enzo!"
"Dad!"
"Francesca, Danny..."
"… Gabriel? Where's Gabriel?"
No one answered.
"Gabriel?"
Gabriel appeared suddenly.
"Here I am dad, sorry if I made you wait, I was to the toilet!"
Gabriel recognized his dad by his Italian moustaches. He had a small respirator attached to his nose.
He couldn't hold a tear.
"Gabriel, Daniel, how long not seeing you. How are you?"
Daniel answered;
"We are fine dad. We hope you're fine as well, we waited this moment for two months! We are so happy"
"Are... you... having fun?"
"Yes dad!"
So they kept talking for one hour.
"Dad must sleep now. See you again. Enjoy your summer kids, dad can't wait to hug you!"
"Yes mom!"
"Bye dad, we love you!"
The online meeting was over.
Joey turned out the computer.
"That was memorable!" Giovanni said.
"Yup!" Gabriel agreed.
"It was a luck you came back just in time for the meeting! We were worried for you!" Francesca said.
"You must thank Antonella for this!" Gabriel answered.
"Yeah! I hope she'll find the guys who tried to kidnap you! Are you sure you can't remember their faces, that would make Antonella's job much easier!" Giovanni said.
"I've already told you. I can't remember, it happen all quickly, they hit my head and I lost consciousness, when I opened my eyes they disappeared and Antonella arrived!"
"What it matters is you are here, now go to bed. It's late!"
"Yes, auntie Francesca!"
Danny couldn't sleep that night; his brother couldn't stop moving.
After a while he heard his brother leaving his bead and going out the window. He was wearing his regular clothes.
"Where are you going?" he asked surprising his brother.
"Danny!? How..."
His phone rang.
"Enzo are you ok?" Bruce asked.
"Here's Enzo, yes I'm fine, I managed to escape!"
"Good!"
Gabriel closed the call.
"What's going on?"
There was another noise.
Danny saw Gabriel taking a gizmo from his pocket. It looked like a Tamagotchi.
"No time for talk, follow me!"
Danny followed his brother for several meters.
"Remember Yang-Di?"
"Yes!" Danny answered.
"Good! Remember the arena? Remember Doomsday?"
"Not much!"
"Well, in the arena Doomsday was a giant female red panda, she fell in love with me in the arena and now she wants to eat me alive because she wants me to become a part of her! I wasn't attached by the bandits but by her, thankfully Antonella's friend saved me and…."
He told him the entire story.
"… in the end they decided to let me go for the meeting as long I go back to the sewers. They gave this object, it says how far Mei Mei is, the more it flashes the more she is closer to me. Bruce installed a locator chip on her back!
He also decided to assist me by calling me Enzo (like our father) since it's a more Italian and easier name to memorize!"
Danny was shocked by the story.
"But when all this will end?"
"I don't know, I hope Ming Lee will quickly find a solution or else..."
The gizmo was flashing faster.
"I got to go!"
Gabriel opened a manhole and entered to the sewer.
"Don't tell all this to our relatives!"
"All right! I'll keep the secret!"
"Bye Danny!"
"Bye brother!"
