Chapter 43

Konsilisto- Yeah, that's always been a big problem of mine. I always end up revealing some things to people that I should or should not have revealed. I always do it because…well, I don't exactly agree with a lot of things that people either post, upload, or say on the internet and I prefer to keep my mouth shut to avoid unnecessary conflict. An example being the modding of games, especially the Total War games. I wouldn't say my opinion is offensive or even insulting, it's just an opinion I feel people on the internet don't want to hear and will probably accuse me of being a gaming company fanboy or shill. I think. However, just to be on the safe side and for the sake of not starting something over a single person's opinion I keep quiet on my stances and opinions. It leads to a lot of buildup so…you know. Anyway, moving on to the other portion of your review.

I'll think more on the concept of Chaos Warriors absorbing magic then. Until then, enjoy the updates.

Makarov

Makarov was humming to himself when Mirajane came up to him with a glass of lemonade.

"Here you go, master!" Yelled Mirajane with a smile as she lifted a tray of lemonade towards a gigantic Makarov, who was currently nailing down support beams for the new Guild Hall. Makarov smiled at that before shrinking down and taking one of Mirajane's offered lemonades.

"Thank, my dear." Said Makarov before drinking his lemonade. Gulping down a good portion before stopping, giving a sigh of relief and gratitude. "Nothing like a glass of refreshing lemonade to help in this heat." It wasn't a bad heat wave, per se, but it was sufficient enough that Makarov was sweating from the labor he was doing with the new Guild Hall.

That was correct. With the damage that was inflicted on the Guild Hall after the war with Phantom, Makarov realized that it was beyond repair and that they needed to construct a new Guild Hall to replace it. Natsu, along with a few others, protested the action as the Guild Hall was a cherished home to them and they didn't want it to be replaced. Though Makarov could understand their stance and even agree to it to a certain degree, he had no choice. The damage inflicted on the guild was simply too great to repair the Guild Hall. So he began the process of removing the debris of the old Guild Hall and began the long process of making a brand new building for his guild.

And he wasn't the only one helping out in its construction. The entire guild was as well. Even Natsu, despite his disagreement with the entire thing, helped out in the construction of the new Guild Hall. Even Gwindalor, despite his injuries and the fact he was a giant eagle, was helping out, lifting large pillars and delivering supplies to Fairy Tail wizards that were working on the upper sections of the new guildhall. Porlyusica, despite never really dabbling in healing animals, was able to heal Gwindalor to such an extent that the Great Eagle was able to fly again without too much impairment, much to the relief of both Naestra and Arahan.

Speaking of the two, they agreed to tell Makarov about this lizard that helped them during the battle of Phantom. If it weren't for him, Lucy would have been kidnapped and Gajeel would have joined the defense of his guild. Not that the latter would matter much considering both Makarov and Laxus were there and many doubted Gajeel could defeat either of them, even if they're weakened from fighting. Though the others wanted to find this lizard and give him praise for his assistance, Makarov was wary of the lizard and his intentions.

Too many times has Makarov seen seemingly noble intentions be a front to hide dark intentions. And too many times has he seen good people fall for them and be hurt or worse. As a result, when he heard how Naestra reacted to hearing about this orange lizard, he requested her and her sister to come tomorrow and explain about this orange lizard. If the lizard wasn't an enemy, then Makarov would be relieved and feel slightly guilty for thinking the lizard to be an enemy. But if he was…well it's just proof that it's better to be safe than sorry.

Upon finishing his glass of lemonade, he spotted Naestra and Arahan arriving with their son just as he gave Mirajane the glass. Smiling at the three, Makarov walked toward them with a smile.

"Good to see you three again." Said Makarov, causing Naestra to smile right back. "I hope that you all are here to help us fix the Guild Hall." Arahan looked appalled at the thought of building the Guild Hall for she never did something like that back at Athel Loren. Naestra and Diederick, however, were more than willing to help out in the process. One because they're friends and the other because she felt it was her duty to help out her fellow Guildmates to rebuild their home.

"Of course." Said Naestra, pleased to see that Makarov was helping out over letting his Guild do the work, despite his advanced age. "What members of a guild would we be if we don't assist our fellow Guildmates in their time of need?" Makarov nodded at that, feeling a bit of disappointment at his grandson for not helping out along with his Thunder Legion, before squashing it down before speaking.

"Poor ones." Said Makarov. "However, I believe we should discuss our little lizard first so that we all know about him and see if he's a danger to the guild." Both Naestra and Arahan agreed on that.

"Shall we tell the entire guild about him?" Asked Naestra, causing Makarov to nod.

"Of course." Said Makarov. "This is a Guild matter. It wouldn't be right to keep them all out of something that may be a danger to them. Give me a few minutes to gather everyone." Naestra nodded at that before Makarov left, leaving them alone with Mirajane. Upon seeing Mirajane, Naestra asked her if she's alright.

"Of course I am." Said Mirajane with a smile. "We won against Phantom and the Magic Council let us go without too many complications. Makarov just has to go to a hearing later this week to talk with the Magic Council in the Magnolia branch. Other than that, we're good." Though Naestra was relieved to hear all that, having left before the Rune Knights were finished interrogating everyone, she wasn't referring to the Magic Council.

"I'm not talking about the Magic Council." Said Naestra. "I'm talking about Elfman and the fact he nearly killed you." Upon hearing that, Mirajane sighed before giving a sad smile.

"I won't deny it, but I was afraid of Elfman killing me the same way Lisanna died." Said Mirajane. "Not just for my sake, but for my brother's sake as well. I don't think that Elfman can handle the thought of being the one that killed both of his sisters, right?" Naestra, Arahan, and Diederick nodded at that. "He still feels guilty about it. I told him that it was alright and that I wasn't worried about him killing me, but I know that he still feels guilty about it. It's the reason why he's been working extra hard to fix the Guild Hall in order to make amends." She then pointed at Elfman carrying a bunch of support beams to a location along with Gray and Natsu, saying how much of a man he was.

"Do you wish for me to talk to him?" Offered Naestra, causing Mirajane to shake her head.

"I don't think it's needed." Said Mirajane. "I just think time is what's needed here. After all, Elfman's smart. He'll come around, I'm sure of it. But if he doesn't. Well, he's got us to be there for him to cheer him up." Naestra, out of respect for the Strauss siblings, nodded at that. Diederick, having been left out of the conversation so far, spoke up.

"So, is the new Guild Hall going to be the same as the old one or you're going to make a completely new one?" Asked Diederick, finding this to be the perfect time to bring that up. Upon hearing that, Mirajane smiled brightly before giving out a roll of paper.

"I'm so glad that you asked!" Yelled Mirajane with excitement. "Since it wasn't really needed, we never bothered expanding the Guild Hall since its creation. So, we're going to take advantage of having to rebuild it to put in some additions to it. Here are the plans for it." She then unrolled the roll of paper and revealed it to the two elves and human teenager, revealing a colorful, but poorly drawn, drawing of the new Guild Hall.

"What in the…" Said Diederick but was interrupted by Arahan.

"Please tell me that this isn't a joke." Said Arahan as she eyed the drawing with a deadpan tone. When Mirajane didn't shake her head, Arahan spoke honestly about the drawing. "Whoever designed it should take drawing classing because even a young child that hasn't achieved their first decade of life and do better than this." Upon hearing that, Mirajane kept her typical smile for a bit before breaking down crying, heartbroken at hearing Arahan's confession of being the one that drew the drawing.

"Are you joking?" Asked Arahan incredulously upon seeing this. "You mean to tell me that this is yours? Why in Isha's name do you have such poor…" She then halted from speaking any further by Naestra, who placed one of her hands over Arahan's mouth.

"That will be all, Arahan." Said Naestra as she looked at her sister. "Why don't you go help Erza while I deal with my former apprentice." Arahan rolled her eyes at that before leaving to go find Erza, leaving Diederick and Naestra alone to comfort Mirajane.

Later

After a while, Makarov managed to gather everyone to the middle of the building zone for the new Guild Hall. It would have happened sooner, but some people decided it was a good idea to take a break before their scheduled break times, which caused Erza to inflict physical punishment. Once everyone was gathered, Naestra took center stage before speaking.

"Good afternoon to you all." Said Naestra as she looked at the assembled Guild. Nearly everyone was here except for Laxus and his Thunder Legion. Shaking her head at that, Naestra spoke up. "As you all know, we recently received help from an outside source that none of us, baring my sister and me, knew of. You know what I speak of yes?" Everyone nodded at that. By now, everyone heard about how an orange lizard helped save Lucy from Blacksteel Gajeel, even helping defeat him without any access to magic. It caused some to want to find him just to thank him while others want to fight him to see just how good he was in a fight.

"So, you know this lizard?" Asked Macao as everyone thought of the lizard, causing Naestra to nod.

"Yes. Though we never met, my sister and I know of his reputation." Said Naestra before pulling down her hood to reveal her elven ears, causing some to whisper about this, wondering why she pulled down her hood to reveal her ears. "The lizard is known as Oxyotl, otherwise known as He That Hunts Unseen. He's a hunter of the corrupt and those he deems a threat to the safety of the world." What she had just said was only partial true, but she intended to reveal the rest soon. That caused a lot of the Guild members to speak amongst themselves, especially the older ones as they never heard of this Oxyotl before.

"I never heard about this guy." Said Wakaba. "Is he new or something?"

"No. In fact, he's the exact opposite." Said Naestra. "He's been fighting against the forces of evil for thousands of years." That caused people to widen their eyes in shock.

"Then how come none of us ever heard about him?" Asked Macao. "If he existed that long, he should have been revealed to some of us, right? Especially the Magic Council." That caused Naestra to nod before replying.

"That would be true if it weren't for the fact that he wasn't originally from here. From this world." Said Naestra, shocking everyone. "What I said is true. Oxyotl is not originally from this world. He came from a darker and bleak world that contains threats worse than the Dark Guilds and the legacy of the Black wizard Zeref." That causes whispers and looks of worry from the Fairy Tail Guild upon hearing threats worders than even Zeref. Even Diederick was worried. He had some knowledge of the darkness in his birth world, but he didn't think anything from there was worse than the Black Wizard Zeref and his legacy.

"How do you know this?" Asked Makarov, though he had a sneaking suspicion of it.

"Because my sister and I, along with our son, came from the same world that Oxyotl came from." Said Naestra, causing some gasps to come out from everyone.

"No way!" Yelled Natsu with his eyes bulging. Lucy also had her eyes bulging with Gray having his mouth open in shock. Everyone else had the same reaction or were so shocked that they fainted. Makarov, however, kept conscious but was still shocked as everyone with the revelation, though he wasn't anywhere as shocked as everyone, something that the elven sisters noticed. Once everyone recovered, Lucy spoke up.

"You really came from another world?" Asked Lucy, causing Naestra to nod. "Why leave and how did you do it?"

"It's for the sake of our son." Said Naestra as she looked at Diederick. "We didn't wish for him to live in such a world and neither did the queen of our people, the Asrai. So, she used her mastery of our world's magic to transport us to this world. To raise our son without any of the darkness of our world to affect him." Upon hearing that story, everyone was stunned and shocked at hearing all. Some were astounded at hearing the story. Astounded the level of love one has to have for their child in order to abandon everything they knew in order to travel to another world that they have no knowledge of just so they can raise them without fear of darkness overcoming them. Others, however, were slightly scared of the darkness that would make someone wish to leave a world for another. Of how powerful and corruptive it was. When Makarov asked what darkness can make one do such a thing, Naestra sighed before pulling out a piece of paper from a pocket and giving it to Reedus.

"Draw this." Said Naestra to Reedus as she handed it to him. "But do not use your magic to bring it to come to life. I don't wish to face off one of these monsters if I can avoid it, even if it's a simple copy. Then draw a typical Fiore soldier next to it." Reedus, upon seeing the drawing, gulped a bit before nodding. He then began to draw on his belly, causing people to look at Reedus as he drew. As he drew, people saw the picture and immediately began to see why Naestra and Arahan traveled to another world. Even more so when Reedus finished and began drawing a standard Fiore soldier. Once he was finished, everyone saw the finished product and was instantly concerned with what they saw.

On one side of Reedus' belly was a standard Magnolia soldier in all his armor and gear, ready to defend Fiore from any threat. Next to him was a massive monster of a man in fearsome full-plate armor that made them look like a barbarian wearing the armor of a knight. Wielding a massive shield in one hand while the other held an ax, the monster of a man looked like he was ready to kill anything and anyone that got in his way.

"That is just one of the threats that my old world used to face and perhaps one of the most dangerous." Said Naestra as everyone looked at the picture, concern and even fear coming from them as they saw the drawing, especially on how tall the monster knight was compared to the Fiore soldier. "That is a Chaos Warrior. A human that fell to darkness and became nothing more than a killing machine that wishes to become immortal."

"Immortal? How?" Asked Lucy as she moved her eyes away from the picture to Naestra, worried about the answer.

"Do any of you believe in Gods?" Asked Naestra, causing people to stop and look at her in confusion. When a few nodded at that, Naestra continued. "My world has Gods as well. And there are a few that are beyond corrupting and evil that they seek nothing more than the complete domination of everything for their own entertainment. It's those Gods that warriors like that monster follow in order to obtain immortality." That shocked people, even more, causing some to sit on the ground in shock, unable to bear hearing anymore while standing.

"Gods. What Gods would such people follow?" Asked Makarov in shock. This was beyond anything that he had ever thought was possible.

"Gods that promise to give them what their hearts desire." Said Naestra. "That promise them power as well as the immortality they crave. Gods that…should not exist in the first place." Naestra sighed as she thought of the four major Chaos Gods. "I should say more, but I think I revealed too much for you all to take today about the darkness of my family's previous world and we have much to do to rebuild our Guild Hall. To go back to the original topic, Oxyotl is someone you all should be wary of. He can save you one day and attempt to kill you the next. It all depends on the visions that he gives out. I know this is confusing to you all, but I wish for us to continue rebuilding our Guild Hall, something I believe many here will appreciate. So, let's resume back to rebuilding it. If you wish to know more, just speak to me and my sister. We'll do our best to explain in detail about the threats in our world as well as Oxyotl." With that, everyone began to disperse and resume building back the Guild Hall, though with less gusto than before. While this was happening, Makarov walked up to Naestra, shaken by the revelations today.

"I…must admit I never expected this." Said Makarov as he looked at Naestra, shaken but holding strong considering the revelations today. And that was only a general explanation of the threats in Naestra's old world. "I can't imagine the other threats in your old world for you to leave it for your son."

"Believe me, Makarov." Said Naestra with a sad smile. "There are more threats than what I revealed today. Far more and I haven't even revealed the worst of the Chaos Warriors." Makarov sighed at that.

"Why am I not surprised?" Said Makarov with a sigh. "I thank you then for cutting this short, I don't think the others can handle hearing more about these threats, at least for today."

"I saw the pale faces of my fellow Guild Mates, Makarov." Said Naestra with a sympathetic smile. "Believe me, I wish to never reveal this to them in the first place, but with the arrival of Oxyotl, I fear it was necessary."

"I see." Said Makarov with a frown. "You fear so because you believe that these…Chaos Warriors and their Gods can follow you or this Oxyotl? That they'll come to Earthland?" Naestra sighed at that.

"That or the other threats from our world. One of which you already know of." Said Naestra, causing Makarov to narrow his eyes.

"The Dreadwaters are from your world, yes?" Asked Makarov, causing Naestra to nod. "Hmm…how did they come here? You claim magic was responsible for your arrival, what about them?"

"No doubt magic as well, though I wonder what kind." Said Naestra. "They haven't been known for having magic users in their family. So, I don't understand how they're here." Makarov hummed at that, fearing the answer.

"Whatever the answer is, we'll be ready for them. If they wish to once again threaten Fiore and its people, they'll have to contend with Fairy Tail. The same goes for these Chaos Warriors. If they dare to come here they'll be in for a fight. For Fairy Tail will not back down against those that wish to commit dark deeds to the people of Earthland." Though she was appreciative of that, Naestra had to warn Makarov about the martial prowess of the typical Chaos Warrior.

"Then be prepared for a fight, Makarov." Said Naestra. "Though some don't possess magic, each and every Chaos Warrior is more than capable of taking down dozens of lesser men with ease. They are the pinnacle of human martial prowess in our world, only rivaled by one source of human warriors." Makarov frowned at that. If Naestra was giving this warning, then these warriors are strong opponents.

"I see." Said Makarov. "Hopefully we'll be prepared to face them should they ever come. If not, then I fear we're in for a fight." Naestra nodded at that. With that over, the two left to help rebuild the Guild Hall, both eager to get rid of the thoughts about Chaos Warriors.

Meanwhile, Diederick was conversing with Natsu and Gray about something important. All of them were shaken up about what was revealed to them, even Diederick. He had some knowledge of the dangers of his birth world, but he didn't think it involved something like that. As such they're all eager to have a more pleasant conversation.

"So what happened with Loke. I noticed during the meeting that he was shaken up and weak." Said Diederick. During the entire talk, he noticed Loke was rather weak and sickly, which was odd as, if he was sick he would have stayed home. Not be here working with everyone else.

"I don't know." Said Natsu as he thought about this with pursed lips. "Lucy's been asking questions about Loke and I have no idea why."

"Questions? What questions?" Asked Diederick, curious.

"It's mostly about how long Loke has a member of Fairy Tail and why he's so afraid of Celestial Wizards." Said Gray. "Don't know why though. The first question is easy to answer, but the other ones are harder because that's something Loke keeps to heart."

"Really? Any reason as to why she's doing this?" Asked Diederick. Both teens just shrugged.

"No idea." Said Gray. "Probably has something to do after they fought Gajeel off. Maybe she discovered something that Loke's keeping a secret from the rest of us."

"Maybe." Said Diederick. He then watched as Lucy went over to Loke. They conversed a bit before Lucy slapped Loke, drawing a few people's attention before dragging him away.

"What the heck?" Asked Natsu upon seeing that. "Why did she slap him?"

"Must have pissed her off." Said Gray with a shrug. "Probably a great deal with how she's dragging him." Diederick was about to speak when Erza came up to the three and yelled.

"Who told you all to take a break!?" Yelled Erza, angered with them. All three boys yelped before picking up some wood and running towards Makarov who grew big again, eager to get back to work to take his mind off what was revealed today.

Meanwhile

Vilitch

"*Laughs* Raise my servants. Raise!" Yelled Vilitch as he looked upon his gathered warriors, some of them gifts from his patron and the others were under his thrall by his impressive magic.

As Vilitch was massacring his village, a combined flock of Doom Knights and Chaos Furies joined him in his crusade for revenge, massacring anyone that tried to escape while also fighting those that tried to fight back. Seeing this as a sign of his patron, Vilitch welcomed them under his command and ordered them to gather up the warriors of his tribe. To his delight, they did as instructed and gathered up the warriors of his tribe. Once the battle was over, Vilitch used his magic to brainwash his tribe's warriors in order to keep him under his thrall and serve him as penance for their treatment of him.

With his vengeance sated, Vilitch wondered what to do when the leader of the Doom Knights, an aspiring champion by the name of Khurze, jumped off his Disc of Tzeentch and spoke to Vilitch.

"Mighty champion of Tzeentch." Said Khurze, his armor in the colors of Tzeentch, bright blue and purple. "Our chosen patron has ordered us to serve you in return for your service to the Chaos God of Magic. Will you serve?" Vilitch just laughed before replying.

"Of course, I will serve!" Yelled Vilitch. "Tzeentch has my soul and I will serve him to the best of my ability." Khurze was satisfied with that before replying.

"Then you will not be opposed to going on a mission for Tzeentch now." Said Khurze, causing Vilitch to look at him.

"What do you mean?" Asked Vilitch, curious. His god wanted him to do something now?

"Tzeentch has uncovered a way to become ascendant in the Great Game and you are to help make that way a reality." Said Khurze simply. "You are to find the location of the 13th Everchosen of Chaos while the other great powers are distracted with Be'lakor's recent machinations. Do so, and you will earn even greater rewards from our god." Vilitch, a bit stunned at hearing that he was to find the 13th Everchosen, pondered on this for a few moments before he chuckled that soon turned to insane laughter.

"If Tzeentch wills it, then who am I to ignore the orders of our patron." Said Vilitch. "What shall we do first?"

"We are to gather strength. More followers to join our journey to find the next Everchosen of Chaos." Said Khurze before kneeling before Vilitch. "If I may, I know of several Norscan villages that may provide us some warriors for our cause. Both willingly and unwillingly." Vilitch smiled at that.

"Then let us proceed, my minion. A grand host is needed if we wish to find the Everchosen." Said Vilitch before ordering his warriors to follow him, which they did without pause. As they marched, Vilitch thought of the gifts that Tzeentch will offer him for bringing him the 13th Everchosen of Chaos. He had already given Vilitch much for selling his services to the Chaos God. He couldn't imagine what the Chaos God will give him for bringing him the 13th Everchosen before him. He knew about the Everchosens and their role in history. He knew just how pivotal and important each one was throughout the course of history. And he was to find the next one. Oh, this will be most exciting.
