Four Months Later- Six Months Post Graduation

It was amazing what six months of hard training could do. Mika had always been an above average ninja, he knew that. He worked harder than most of his classmates, and was far more intelligent. He was the kind of person that could do anything, given the chance. The problem was, the academy was barely a chance, it was pathetic and he had no real chance there to grow and become great.

Working at his own pace, both as a medic and as a ninja, allowed Mika to grow in ways he never saw coming. His chakra levels had doubled, his control was medic level officially, his taijutsu was well rounded and developed, he felt like his kenjutsu was something to brag about, he had mastered the Water extraction part of water manipulation as well as the water clone ( Which helped with evasion training due to spars and throwing things at him) and water body flicker and finally... finally...

He had managed to get the first stage of the Mystic palm jutsu!

Iida sensei was gaping at him. "Most ninja need a year just to the first stage, and you did it in four? My Kami, you are going to be something great."

Mika actually flushed, not used to praise from literally anyone. "I hope so, I have lofty goals... I want to surpass Tsunade and the other Sanin. It's been my goal since I read on them."

"You might well do just that, my boy... listen, at the moment, you cannot use that technique out in the field. However, after a month practicing in under careful supervision on patients, you will be allowed to use it as a full field medic. At this moment, you have graduated to level Two medic, congratulations Mika!"

And hearing that was everything...

'One step closer, to everything, to my goals, to a future worth having...'

Mika devoured the dumplings he just bought at his favorite cheap stand by the library, he adored dumplings. Always had, their texture was just too perfect to ignore. "I cannot believe it, I did it!" He almost giggled, but barely maintained a serious face. As he ate, he poured over a paper, a syllabus for the next stage of his medical journey.

Essentially, as he was a stage two medic, he was somewhere between aid and nurse. He could take blood and other samples, set and undo IVs, take vitals, pass some meds and use the mystic palm on small wounds under supervision. He also was required to spend a few hours working on minor surgeries and help higher up medics in various tasks, but always under supervision.

His next jutsus, even as he learned to master the next stage of the Mystic Palm, was the Chakra Scalpel and a stronger version of the Genjutsu breaking technique. One was for surgeries, the other was to help undo more advanced and trap heavy genjutsu like those done by the Sharingan and more masterful genjutsu masters. The next stage of the Mystic Palm could actually help soothe headaches, heal burns, minor poisoning and electrical damage. It's main purpose was to heal mental damage from genjutsu exposure, which also acted as genjutsu training.

This inspired me to spend at least part of each day on learning some minor genjutsu, some of each type in face. External ones so that he could hide or cast traps, which he tested on his water clones, who would play hide and seek with him to find him after he cast his illusion and internal ones on his clones themselves, so he could work on assassination and hopefully use the technique in combat.

It was exhausting to work on all these things at once, but honestly it was worth it. Medical, Tai and Kenjutsu were his main focused, but he refused to have no aces in the hole. He needed to be well rounded, with exceptional skills in all areas, so that he could easily take down the title of Sanin and make it his bitch. Nothing else mattered as far as he was concerned...

Nothing else.

Two Weeks Later

"Hold fast, Mika." Iida whispered as Mika, sweating like crazy, held his glowing hands over the burn of an elderly civilian woman. She had burned herself on her stove, and had been rushed to the Emergency Ward. Iida took care of all of her wounds, bar the last three wounds. To his amazement, despite his struggle, her horrible smelling burn on her arm actually started to seal shut with a sizzle.

It only took a few minutes but by the Shinigami he did it!

Shaking, he reassessed her, and found no more burns. "I did it..."

The elderly woman cheered with Iida. "My goodness, so young to do so much! Be proud of yourself, child."

"I do try..."

Iida put a hand on his arm. "Why don't you rest, I'll help you with your part of the paper work. In two weeks, you will be accepted as field medic, allowed on your first field mission. Be proud kid, you've done so well."

Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.

This was a joy to write.
