And we are back with this series :). Needless to say this will answer some questions from the show.

Enjoy ;).

Parents and the AFC South

Part 1: Lucky Life

They had to admit, perhaps the device to make the new safe zone around Canton MIGHT had worked too well weather wise.

Then again with the brief reprieve weather wise, it was more the lake effect at play this time around. Lt. Matt and Sandra were cautiously driving down the snowy roads heading to the Hall of Fame.

Sandra: This Blizzard is insane, I really thought we were done last week.

Lt. Matt: Same here. Let's be glad that it held off during last week with all that happened.

He had a point. Last week was-stressful. All but two of the Megacores were stolen, so everyone at the HOK was on edge a bit.

Sandra: I just hope we can retrieve them before the actual super bowl. Ish and his friends have been looking for them everywhere.

Lt. Matt: *warm smiles* Knowing our son and his friends, they will. For now *something runs towards them* let's just hope the roads get clear up before school gets out-

Sandra: *sees it;panic* MATT LOOK OUT!

Matt froze as he forced the car to a stop seeing something bolt towards them. It froze just in time as the car stopped.

Lt. Matt: *concern* Sandra are you alright?

Sandra: Y-yes, you? *he nods* What was-

Something lept up onto the hood startling them-and they froze at what they saw.

Sandra and Lt. Matt: *Fear;shock* S-Spot?

The Jaguar Rusher was looking at them from the outside, eyes shrunken in fear and tears falling. He was covered in cuts as some blood dripped; breathing hard as he banged against the glass as a way to ask them outside, which prompted the two to get out.

Lt. Matt: *Serious* Spot, what ha-

Spot grabbed Matt and dragged him to the side of the road, Sandra following close by.

.

It was a minute before they saw a horrifying sight...one of the buses from the HOF crashed and upside-down.

Sandra: *worry* Oh my gosh!

Lt. Matt: *serious* YOU CRASHED!

Spot did not say anything as he ran to the bus, banging on the window as Matt ran over. He knelt down seeing Cyclops slumped unconscious in the car seat bloodied. He wasted no time as he took out a glass breaker and, with Sandra moving Spot back a bit, smashed the window opened. He gently grabbed Cyclops and dragged him out into the snow.

Lt. Matt: *checks pulse* He's breathing and got a pulse, But we're gonna need help.

Sandra: *comforting Spot;pulls out phone* I'm on it! *dials*-Hello, 911. Yes we have an accident-!

.

.

.

Stallion (talking on headpiece): Yeah I just got the materials for the upgrades. Heading back right now RZ.

Stallion was walking down the city sidewalks, bundled up and a bag in his arms.

Stallion (talking on headpiece): Spot and Cys, no I haven't heard form them. I'll try and call Sp-

A ambulance with it's sirens blaring speed past him as he watched it fly by and down the road...a bad feeling forming fast.

Stallion (talking on headpiece): *concern* H-hey RZ, I'll call you back. I-I have a bad feeling something happened with the two.

Later; Autumn Hospital...

Spot was sobbing as Sandra and Matt tried to calm him down in the waiting room, the Jaguar Rusher cuts covered in band-aides and a blanket over him.

Sandra: *calm* Spot, it's okay. Cyclops will be fine.

Spot was still sobbing as the officer went over.

Officer: Anything?

Lt. Matt: Nothing yet sir, he seems really shaken over what happened. It might be a while for him to explain the situation.

The sound of the door opening and closing was heard.

Officer: *nods* Understandable, (?: Excuse me can you tell me-) please take your time with this-

?: SPOT!

All looked up seeing Stallion face in a bit of fear upon seeing Spot.

...The Jaguar's tears fell faster as he bolted into Stallion's arms crying. Stallion hugged him tightly, rubbing the Jaguar Rusherz' head as he tried to calm Spot down.

Stallion: *calmly* Spot, deep breaths. I'm here, I'm right here. Shards what happened?

Spot: *crying;deep breaths; raspy*-Black ice.

The officer and Ish's parents were next to him fast when they heard the word.

Spot: *crying; raspy* C-Cyclops was driving-we hit black ice-we went spinning-he pushed me out-He wasn't moving-T-There was Blood-

Stallion: *calmly;comforting* Shhh, it's okay. You got help fast so he'll be okay. You must of been so scared. It's gonna be okay now, I'm here and I'll call the others as soon as possible.

Spot cries soon fell to sniffles as he nodded looking at the Colt Rusher. Stallion giving him a calm yet warm smile.

Stallion: *calmly* There we go, why not we sit down?

Spot: *raspy* Y-yeah.

Stallion lead Spot back the the seats as Sandra, Matt and the officer watched in relief.

Officer: Thank goodness for their instinct. I'll let my team know about the black ice, we might have more on the roads and the sooner we take care of those spots the better.

He gave a nod as Sandra and Matt waved him off...they soon turned back to the two Rusherz, seeing Spot had fallen asleep on Stallion's lap. He looked up seeing them walk over.

Stallion: Events must of tired him, I can understand why with just the footnotes..Thank you two for helping Spot and Cyclops

Sandra: Of course, I never seen him look so scared.

Stallion: *brushes Spot's head* -sighs- I-I don't blame him, he must of been scared out of his mind seeing Cyclops hurt badly. He-He's really scared of losing any of us.

Lt. Matt: *sits next to them* I can see that, you all raised him so your practically family...and-just by your looks you got spooked too from what you seen and heard.

Stallion laughed weakly nodding.

Stallion: Oh yeah, I'm a bit scared too. We only got eachother in this whole universe so-bit nervous.

Sandra: *sits next to them* If it helps, he looked bad due to all the blood. His injuries were only in a few places.

Stallion: *weak smile* O-okay-well, he is quite the bleeder so, That would explain why he was covered in it. Not a pretty picture but-kinda helps oddly knowing that.

It was there a doctor went over as she looked at the group.

Doctor: *to Sandra and Matt* Pardon, are you with the Rusherz-

Stallion: *fast* Yes! *nods* Yes they are, they are the ones who brought Cyclops and Spot in. Sandra works alongside us at the Hall of Fame and Matt is a Lieutenant in the Military. You can trust them.

She nodded as she looked at the clipboard.

Lt. Matt: How is he?

Doctor: Well, he's got broken ribs as well as a bruised lung. In addition he received a few lacerations from the crash and a concussion. We're going to be sewing up those wounds, but I wish to have the signature of his family member before we proceed.

Stallion nodded as he leaned Spot on Sandra, before he got up and sighed the papers fast.

Stallion: Keep us posted please. And please inform the others, *takes out a card;hands it to Doctor* this is the number where you can reach Liberty, Stampede and/or Freefall. Their at their stadiums today so if you call one of them they'll send out the word fast.

Doctor: Thank you very much.

With that she headed off as Stallion sat back with the adults.

Lt. Matt: That is a very good idea having those cards on hand.

Stallion: *small smile* It was actually Pillage's idea to have these on hand after that scare I gave them when my team moved to Indiana. *sheepish* Oh boy was that day crazy, I feel really bad scaring them all like that.

Sandra: You got hurt?

Stallion: I GOT SHOT.

Both: *horror* WHAT!?

Stallion blushed a bit as he scratched Spot's head, small purrs being heard.

Stallion: Yeah-not one of my greatest ideas. Happened back in the 80s. A armed Burglar broke in and threaten the team for money, I got in the way and-well, BANG...Freefall and Steed were visiting at the time and once they saw what happened, Freefall went straight to work. Removed the Bullet RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY TEAM before the ambulance showed up.

He could see both of them pale in shock.

Stallion: Yeah your reaction is understandable, not the first time I've seen it when I tell folks that incident.

Lt. Matt: You are very lucky at their timing that day.

Stallion: *chuckles* That's what we all said but Talon, he would always say it was our skill that was at play, not luck. He always told me that luck was skill in disguised, tells alot of folks who feel like it's luck that runs the show. Yeah my logo is a horseshoe and that means luck in alot of cultures, but when it comes to how I met the others and us living here on earth..Talon point is made more and more each day...Especially when the 1984 season began.

Sandra: If i recall from the information at the HOK, it was bad year for you.

Stallion: Yeah...I was-not happy with all that happened beforehand, and the preseason was a nightmare to get through. I was lucky I had the others by my side helping me before the season began-

1984; Canton Ohio...

Stallion sighed as he leaned back on the bed. Yes he was bored...but he was also relieved that his team was safe-for now at least. He kept looking at his gauze chest, sorrow filling his eyes.

Stallion: *sorrow* Look at the mess I've made. I should of been awake, maybe I could of douse the fires then.

When he found out the whole fiasco of him being shot was on the news, Baltimore was at a stand still. Players who stayed in the city from this dispute, now were horrified that they could of lost Stallion in all this. He couldn't help but have tears from in his eyes.

Stallion: *tears* Everyone, I'm so sorry-

?: None of this was your fault Stalls.

He turned, seeing Steed in the doorway and concern on his face.

Steed: Besides, I don't think there was anything a Rusher could do with how far the situation was. *walks over, sits on the bed* How are you feeling?

Stallion: *tears* Other than awful, no pain...The boys back in Baltimore visited and-the looks of sorrow on their faces when they saw me. *tears falling* Johnny was the worst, he didn't show it-but I could see the heartbreak in his eyes...*covers his face* it's a mess.

Steed hugged Stallion's head.

Steed: It could have been worse if you were killed. I'm sure one day soon this will die down and everything would be okay.

Stallion gave a weak smile as he hugged Steed's arm.

Stallion: Y-Yeah...with me and my luck..

Present...

Stallion: NEEDLESS TO SAY YOU ARE CORRECT, our first season in Indianapolis was PAIN. 4-12 and with what happened during off-season with me, by the time week four came all I wanted was to just stay in my room and wait till the next season. It did not help my team was worried about leaving me alone after I got shot, league was nervous on me for the entire season. Last time it was that bad was back in the 70s with Beast and-yeah took a while to recover form that scare.

Sandra: *shock* That's, I had no idea all that was happening.

Stallion: Well, it's one of those things that the NFL still feels hesitant talking about even to this day. Let me tell you there are things that even the league still even shakes at even decades later.

Lt. Matt: That is, very good to know. I would like it if you tell us another time when things are less, worrisome.

Stallion gave a small smile nodding.

Stallion: Of course. You all deserve to know...-sighs- Well, while I wanted to just bury myself in my bed a certain Falcon decided to jump in-

1984, November 5; Hoosier Dome...

Stallion was sitting in on of the empty lockers with a gloomy look on his face.

Stallion: *gloomy* -sighs- I just want this season to end-

?: STALLION!

He poked his head out seeing Talon coming in and looked around.

Talon: Stalls ya in here?!

Stallion: *surprise* Talon?

Talon: *turns; sees Stallion;smiles* Oh there you are! Was looking for you everywhere, need to get use to this new stadium.

Stallion: Y-Yeah...

Talon smile fell a bit seeing Stallion's sad outlook as he walked over, sitting next to the locker.

Talon: *concern* You doing alright? I know this year and season has been-not pretty.

Stallion groan as he covered his head.

Stallion: *Done* I WANT THIS YEAR TO END! I WANT THIS WHOLE SEASON TO END IT'S A NIGHTMARE!

Talon: *grabs his hand* Hey hey, it could be alot worse right?

Stallion looked at Talon with a look that said 'Are you high'.

Stallion: *shock* HOW, HOW COULD IT BE WORSE?

Talon: *muses* Well, you could of been severely hurt or killed, your team could have been in physical danger-lot of things that could have been worse than this.

Stallion: *blinks* I-I mean-yeah but-*looks away* I don't know, maybe our luck just left us-

Stallion found himself next to Talon after he, much to the Colt Rusherz' surprise, slapped the back of his head.

Stallion: *shock* Tals pardon!?

Talon: *serious* LUCK, had NOTHING to do with any of this.

Stallion: *confused* W-What do you mean? I-The team is based on luck given the horse shoe-

Talon: *serious* NOPE! Nothing to do with this, luck has nothing to do with any of this especially with this season. Take my team for example, we are having a bad season too compared to last year, but luck has nothing to do with it. We're dealing with players who have different skills that ricochet and hit our team hard. *smiling* We need to see what we can improve skill wise next year! Your team can do the same, so no more talk of luck! Luck is sometimes, and in my opinion most of the time, just skill in disguise!

Stallion looked at Talon in awe, before he tearfully smiled and hugging him.

Stallion: Your right, w-we just need to adjust to all these changes. I-It'll be a while but-at least we're all okay. T-Thanks Talon. I-I needed to hear that.

Talon hugged back with a smile.

Talon: Happy to be able to help you Stalls.

Present...

Stallion: *soft smile* He was right, it slowly got better. Manage to get to the 1987 playoffs, kept getting in it during the 90s and we won the Super Bowl 2006. Steed made sure to check on me during the first few years, don't blame him with the scare I gave them. Talon, he followed that notion about luck and skill to this day. The others have been a huge help since that day, *closes his eyes* I can't help but be the luckiest Colt in the universe having guys like them by my side.

Sandra and Matt gave him a warm smile as he petted Spot's head.

Sandra: That is a very good quote to live by. I'm glad the others were there helping you during that hard time.

Stallion: Yeah, I mean still feel bad for the scare and I could of handled that situation much differently that what I did...but I'm glad I had the others right by my side during all this.

Matt and Sandra smiled as Stallion kept a close eye on Spot.

...

Out of all the things the two were expecting, one of them being in a situation like what they heard WAS NOT what they expected. For a team whose Logo was a lucky horse shoe they had their fair share of STRESS. But that that amount of stress, there was also a large amount of care and support from the others that helped Stallion adjust and heal from the drastic change he was faced with. Luck was never at play, but even so Stallion felt so lucky to be surrounded by such supportive Rusherz.

Lt. Matt: I will say, Ish and the others are going to want to visit Cyclops when he gets out.

Stallion: *warm smiles* Oh yeah, the amount of scares we gave them. This is going to be the norm for them but this one will defiantly-

?: STALLION! SPOT! CYCLOPS!

All three turned, Spot waking up as they saw a bundled up figure with horns looking around in worry.

Stallion: Toro...
