As the rest of the Demon Slayer Corps began to arrive, Tanjuro noticed Muzan pooling energy again. "Everyone get back!" he cried, but it was too late. The Demon let off a shockwave that caused mot of the closest Demon Slayers to fall, unable to move. Then he did something that Tanjuro didn't expect. He turned and ran. 'Damn! We can't let him escape!' he thought furiously. As Muzan ran, he stepped on and killed several incapacitated Demon Slayers. Tanjuro saw red, "YOU FUCKING MONSTER!" He screamed. "Damn coward! Get back here!" he cried, chasing after him, leaping over his fallen comrades.
Tanjuro used Raging Sun again to hit the other Demon in the back. Suddenly Gyomei moved in to attack, smashing through Muzan's chest again, and sending one of his arms flying. Before anyone could react, the blind Hashira was gone. "Mr Himejima!" Tanjuro called, looking around to find the Stone Hashira. He spotted him lodged into the wall, his leg missing. Tanjuro was infuriated, chasing after Muzan with a single-minded focus: to stop him from getting away. The other Hashira closed in as well, Giyu trying to attack from the side. However, his Sword got caught in the hook of Muzan's arm, while another one stabbed into his own arm.
One moment, the Water Hashira was holding his Sword, and the next his whole arm had been ripped off. Before he could pull his arm back, Mitsuri had caught it around her shoulders, "THAT'S ENOUGH OUT OF YOU!" She screamed. Hakuji leapt in and grabbed the arm, both pulling on it, before ripping it clean off. Hakuji lost both his arms, and Mitsuri got a huge gash in one, but the Love Hashira continued to fight. Suddenly she stumbled. "Shit, some of his blood must have gotten in her wounds!" Hakuji cried, catching the pink and green-haired girl and moving her out of the way of the battle.
"Kanroji!" Iguro cried, running over to her. "Is she okay?!" he demanded, as they watched swelling and purple blotches swell up on the woman's body. "Muzan's blood is poisonous. Along with transforming humans into Demon, he can literally use it as a poison! She needs this treated immediately" the former Upper Rank Demon replied. A cat ran into the middle of the battle, catching their attention. "A cat?" Mitsuri asked weakly, before it leapt into the air and several syringes shot out of a bag on it's back. One of them stabbed into Mitsuri's leg, the yellow liquid being injected into her body.
Suddenly the swelling decreased and the purple splotches faded. "Some kind of antidote?" Hakuji asked, before he shook his head, "it doesn't matter, she's doing better. But she shouldn't fight for a few minutes" he said. Iguro nodded and placed Mitsuri into the arms of a Kakushi that had just turned up, "take care of her!" he ordered. Then he ran back into the battle.

The other Hashira had also gotten vials of the cure, allowing them to fight more. As the cat dodged around attacks, it quickly ran into a deserted house and up to Yushiro. "Good job Chachamaru. Here, take more vials of this antidote!" he said, as he bandaged up a Kakushi he'd found injured by a collapsing building. He pulled off the man's Uniform and put it on, "I may not like it, but I am a Doctor, and if I didn't help the Corps, Lady Tamayo would be angry with me!" he muttered, sending his cat out again, before running into the frey himself. 'It's a good thing I turned Chachamaru into a Demon before this battle!' he thought to himself.

"How much longer until dawn?" Kiriya asked. "A little less than one hour!" Kanata replied. He looked down, 'please everyone. We're so close! Just hold on a little longer!' he thought desperately.

Back on the battlefield the sky was beginning to lighten. Muzan tried to run again, but Zenitsu was finally in the right position to attack, "Thunder-Breathing, Seventh Form: Flaming Thunder God!" he cried, landing a massive strike on Muzan, before he collapsed to the ground, "I-I did it! I got a hit in" he panted. The blond was then nearly decapitated by a whip, but Ume managed to grab him out of the way just in time. Kyojuro managed a 'Flame Tiger' but another whip got him in the eye.
Sayuri finally reached the place where the Kakushi were now trying to treat Shinobu, after making her way through the battlefield. "I'm here!" she cried. The Kakushi turned to the young Demon girl, "oh, Sayuri! You're too late, Lady Kocho's leg was crushed by rubble!" he cried. "Damn it!" Sayuri growled. She healed the injury anyway, closing the wound, before turning to head back into the battle, "I have to get back to the battle. Take care of her!" she called. Now out of options, Muzan found himself surrounded. Tanjuro gasped as his body swelled, before settling again. The Demon eyed the sky in panic, before beginning to swell up again.
"WHAT!?" Yukito cried in disgust, "what's he doing?!" he demanded. "I think he's trying to create a flesh shield between his real body and the sun!" Tanjuro cried. Soon Muzan looked like a huge ugly baby, with sharp teeth. The sun finally poked it's way over the horizon, the ugly baby screaming in pain as he started to burn. Muzan thrashed and tried to get into shade. "Keep him in the sun! Block him!" Kiriya's voice cried from a crow. Suddenly several cars crashed into Muzan's huge form, making him pause in place. But he started to climb over the cars.
"Fall back! I'll think of something!" Kiriya called. The Kakushi ran, as Tanjuro slashed his arms off with his sword. Muzan fell to the ground, still burning. He tried to force himself into the building next to him, which was broken in half, "push them over!" Tanjuro looked up as several Demon Slayers pushed a bookshelf and couch out of the hole on top of Muzan. The Demon shrieked, continuing to burn from the sunlight. Tanjuro picked up a crashed car and smashed it on top of Muzan's head. Suddenly he noticed that the Demon was attempting to dig into the ground. "Oh no you don't!" Tanjuro cried, jumping up and stabbing his sword into his head.
Muzan thrashed, screaming in agony, as he kept burning. "We've almost got him! Just a few more minutes!" Kiriya cried. Muzan let out an agonized screech as his body burned away. There was a moment of silence when he faded away. "W-we did it" the Corps Member's said, "WE DID IT! MUZAN'S DEAD!" everyone let out a massive cheer. Tanjuro dropped his Sword, staring down at where Muzan had been. After nearly two years, the monster who threatened his family was gone. Tears welled up in Tanjuro's eyes as he broke down into relieved sobs, 'we did it! Muzan is dead! It's over. Thank God!' he nearly collapsed in relief, but then grabbed his Demons and began to run back to the Safe house.
He was desperate to see his family again. He had to see them all now!

As soon as Muzan died, Kiriya collapsed over the table. "Master!" Shinjuro cried, moving to check on the boy. "Kirya!" his Sister's called. The Rengoku smiled and laughed in relief, "he has a fever" Shinjuro said. His Sisters moved over to him, "I can't believe it! it's over. Mother, Father. We won" Hinaki said with tears in her eyes. "Mommy!" Hanako cried from the other room. Urokodaki moved to check on the children and Kie. The Kamado woman was sitting up, with Hanako hugging her tightly. And all of her Demonic features were gone.
Kie looked down at her hands, "I'm, I-I'm human?" she asked, before noticing her children looking at her with tears. "Hanako? Shigeru? Rokuta?" she looked up at her other children, "Takeo? Nezuko? Tanjiro?" she asked. "Mom!" all of her children cried, sobbing in joy. Kie hugged all of her children to her, "what- what happened?" she asked in confusion, rubbing her head.

The Kakushi were running around, tending to everyone's wounds. "Master Himejima!" one of the Kakushi cried, as two more of them surrounded the tall man. He stared sightlessly at the ground, "please- don't waste, your m-medical supplies on me. Use them on, the people who can, be saved" Gyomei said weakly. "Oh, it's you" he said. "So, that's what you were doing. Yes, let's go" he said, before closing his eyes and passing away. "Master Hinejima" the Kakushi said softly, holding his hand.

Tanjuro and his Demons were running back to the Headquarters as fast as they could. They reached the Headquarters in 2 hours, only to see Kie walking towards them with all of their children. "Kie!" Tanjuro cried, running towards her, seeing his Wife as a human for the first time in nearly 2 years. As he reached them, Tanjuro kissed Kie deeply, "it worked. Oh thank God" he said, clutching her gently and trembling in relief. "Daddy!" Hanako and Teiko cried, before Genya noticed his Mother as well, "Mom!" he exclaimed, running to hug Shizu a well.
As Tanjuro hugged his family, he finally felt at peace. Now all that was left was for Tanjuro and all of his Demons to become human again too.
