Chapter 56
Naturally Obito had thought he'd find Kakashi locked up in a cell, chained and helpless. He had hoped Kakashi would be safe and healthy, but he had been prepared to take Kakashi to a healer immediately. But no. None of that happened. He was not in a cell. In fact Obito had no idea where he was.
Obito had thought he was going to save Kakashi, but seeing the body on the ground, with her neck snapped clean, made him second guess himself for a moment or two. He had seen the body in Kakashi's cell too, dead on the ground, bleeding all over the floor, with Kakashi's scent- upset, angry, distressed- coating the prison. Obito swore he was going to take all the guards here and torture them slowly after rescuing Kakashi, but it seemed like Kakashi was already cleaning up the place.
For fucks sake, Kakashi was as scary as ever. He was twenty-six weeks pregnant and still murdering people.
He dismissed the thought. There was no way Kakashi could keep that up forever, not in his condition, and Izumi wasn't in a much better state from the smell of it. She was in heat. A drugged induced heat. Her scent was filled with terror, despite the lust and desire, which made his Alpha cringe in disgust.
Guess only Kakashi's scent made them happy now.
Obito needed to hurry. He had left Aina with that disgusting bastard, and Sasuke with the Omega Hunter. He needed to find Kakashi and fast. Yes, he had taken care of himself so far, and yes, he was as terrifying as ever, but again he couldn't keep that up forever. Obito hurried his steps, checking room to room, trying to follow his lover's scent, but now that it was calm it was harder to track down. Izumi's however was easy. She stunk of fear and it made him twitch.
At least Itachi wasn't here. If he could smell Izumi's and Sasuke's scents right now he'd have gone feral.
Obito shoved open another door and before he could blink a dagger went right through his neck. Thankfully he had activated his Sharingan in time, but damn that was close.
"Oi, that was dangerous," Obito chided, eyeing Kakashi who looked apologetic as Izumi threw up in the toilet.
Ah, bathroom, guess Kakashi had been looking for a mirror to get the collar off. Kakashi had the collar pulled forward, and Obito twitched at the sight.
"You weren't trying to get your collar off with that dagger, right?" Obito scowled, grabbing Kakashi's hand, the one with the dagger, in case the idiot tried it.
"How else was I supposed to get it off?" Kakashi huffed.
"By not risking cutting your throat open," Obito scolded, forcing Kakashi to release the dagger with a quick twist of his wrist.
Kakashi hissed, but obeyed, handing the blade over. Obito tucked it on to his belt and grabbed Kakashi's collar, examining it closely. Kakashi whined a little softly, their faces were up close, and Kakashi's scent was full of stress.
Calm our Omega. Our mate needs help-
Obito scowled. He was helping, stupid Alpha. But he did let out some of his scent to soothe Kakashi's nerves nonetheless. Kakashi relaxed against him, baring his neck, and Obito softened further. He nuzzled Kakashi's scent gland gently, earning a relieved purr.
Fuck. Kakashi would have been anxious. He was probably still terrified and running on adrenaline. No wonder his Omega was starting to crash down on him hard. His Omega wanted comfort and pampering, especially in his condition.
Obito released his collar and tugged Kakashi into an embrace, and Kakashi slumped into him, burying his head into the crook of Obito's neck. Another soft purr escaped him as Obito rubbed his back in soothing circles.
"It's alright," Obito soothed. "I've got you, but I need to look at your collar, sweetheart."
Kakashi let out a frustrated curse. "I know, but my Omega's flustered..." he admitted, and gripped Obito's clothes tight, shivering. "I can't calm down..."
"It's not your fault." Obito shifted his mask a bit, planting a few kisses on Kakashi's head. He almost growled at the scent. That bastard Alpha's was on it. The alive one. He would gut the little shit-
Kakashi whimpered.
Obito froze, then cooed softly, hugging Kakashi tighter. "Sorry, Kakashi. It's alright. My Alpha was angry at that Alpha who has been putting his scent all over you."
"I should be able to handle this-"
"Kakashi, you're twenty-six weeks pregnant and have been kidnapped by Omega Hunters who are used to dealing with Omegas at the top of their game, like Izumi," Obito said sharply, forcing Kakashi's eye to meet his. "Do you blame Izumi for any of this? Are you upset with her?"
"No! Of course not-"
"And Sasuke?"
"No-"
"Then stop putting yourself down," Obito growled, and couldn't help but pressed Kakashi against the bathroom wall, pinning him in place, earning a fluster yelp as Obito's Alpha released a hungry growl. "You killed two of them after all. Twenty-six weeks pregnant and you're still killing people who try to hurt you. You're so good. So strong protecting our baby like that."
His Alpha loved the idea. The thought shocked Obito. He should be protective, angry, not horny! What the hell?! Stupid Alpha!
Kakashi purred, cheeks flushed. "Alpha..."
"For the love of..." Izumi groaned from the toilet. "Not here... Not while I'm miserable and in my heat... Please...?"
Obito struggled to push back his Alpha, especially after how hungry it got, but he managed. Right, no, he had to think. Comforting could come a bit later. Sex could come even later on after that if he and Kakashi were still desperate. Kakashi who was blinking hard, rubbing his eye, trying to focus again.
Obito distracted Kakashi with a quick kiss to his lips- those fuckers took his mask- and yanked Kakashi's collar into Kamui. He could feel the electricity exploding from the collar, it briefly touching his hand, but thankfully he got rid of it just in time.
It could have electrocuted Kakashi if he had tried to get it off with that dagger earlier.
"I'm glad you're alright, Kakashi. If I had known you were here I would have rescued you sooner," Obito said, feeling a rush of anger and resentment at how stupidly weak he still was.
He hadn't known Kakashi was in so much danger.
"How did you even find us?" Kakashi asked slowly, blinking heavily, still trying to regain himself. "The collar was supposed to stop our connection..."
"And it did. It was pure luck to be honest." Obito scowled at the thought. "The Courtesan wanted to come here and try buy off any Omegas to get them out of the prison cells here and into her care. They in return work as her spy network, but the Prince of this kingdom now wants to make her his wife, so I'm going to go and commit a bit of murder and sabotage, especially once I found out you were here."
"But how?" Kakashi insisted.
"I saw Sasuke Uchiha in the dining hall."
"Is he okay?" Izumi groaned, still trembling over the toilet, face pale.
"A little agitated, but perfectly fine given the situation," Obito reassured. "And you have nothing to fear anymore, Izumi Uchiha, I will not be letting them keep any of you here any longer."
Izumi eyed him, then slumped against the toilet seat. "My hero..."
"Most scents have been overwhelming to her and her Omega," Kakashi explained. "It's why she's been so sick, and well... The woman back there put Izumi under a genjutsu as she tried to force herself on Izumi, all she could see was Itachi-"
"Don't remind me!" Izumi glowered.
"Sorry," Kakashi said sheepishly.
"I'll get your collar off too, Izumi Uchiha," Obito said, approaching her, making sure to telegraph every movement he made. She eyed him wearily, but offered up her neck when he reached for it. Obito swiftly removed the collar, putting it into Kamui as well where it too exploded with electricity.
Kakashi and Izumi would have been down for the count after that, and the baby... Their baby would have been hurt badly. Those bastards had risked his mate's and child's life. They would pay for this. He turned to Kakashi, holding out his hand.
"Right-" Obito stepped towards him.
Kakashi's murderous growl made him stop in his tracks.
"You try and teleport me anywhere and I will break your hands," Kakashi snarled. "You are going to escort me to my pup. You are going to kill whoever tries to stop me from taking my pup. You are then going to bring us three back to Konoha and you will not dare try put me somewhere you think is safe. I want my house. I want my nest. I want my nursery for my baby!"
"I-" Obito tried.
"Did I stutter?" Kakashi bristled.
Why was pregnant Kakashi so aggressive? Obito breathed in deeply, inhaling the angry scent, and forced himself to focus and not try to comfort and coo and beg their Omega to calm down. He wanted to scent Kakashi, sooth him, but Obito had the horrible feeling that Kakashi would actually punch him in the throat with the glare he was currently getting.
"No, but it would be better if I could put you somewhere safe. I'll then take Sasuke and Izumi somewhere-"
"No." Kakashi glowered.
"You can't keep rushing about like this in your condition," Obito protested.
"No."
"Stop being stubborn-"
Kakashi smirked.
"Don't say 'no'!" Obito scowled. "Kakashi-"
"Mr. Kidnapper." Kakashi raised a brow.
"You are twenty-six weeks pregnant-"
"Holy moley-"
"Don't start!" Obito glowered. "Let me protect you and the Uchiha pup-"
"I don't know..." Kakashi hummed dramatically, the little shit. "I vaguely remember you threatening to kill Naruto at one point when you had me captive."
"For the love of-" Izumi cursed. "Just go get Sasuke, would you?" She glared daggers at Obito. "Kakashi can keep me company here."
Kakashi frowned down at her. "Izumi-"
"He's right. You're pregnant and I'm ill right now. You already did an amazing job killing two of those assholes," Izumi insisted, her eyes pained. "And I hate the fact that I couldn't protect you or Sasuke, but I feel like shit, and you need to rest. You can feel it, can't you? You're exhausted, Kakashi. We can't save Sasuke in our conditions."
Obito could kiss her right now. Yes. Wonderful, wonderful, woman! Now if Kakashi would just listen to her and didn't remain stubborn then Izumi would be pretty much a goddess as far as Obito was concerned at this point.
Kakashi sighed, closed his eyes and rubbed his forehead. Obito pleaded internally for him just to stay put at the very least. Yes, Obito would love to put him somewhere safe. A nice, comfy nest, to let him rest peacefully, but the stinky bathroom would do if it kept the maniac from tiring himself out any further.
"Alright, fine." Kakashi scowled. "But remember what I said, Mr. Kidnapper."
"Yes, yes, I won't kidnap you." At least not right away.
Kakashi didn't really look like he believed him, but it wasn't like he had much of a choice right now. If Kakashi was about to endanger himself recklessly then Obito would take him away now, and Kakashi knew that.
"Be good," Obito ordered.
.::.
Mr. Kidnapper disappeared in an instant and Kakashi couldn't help but frown as he looked to Izumi who remained slumped against the toilet.
"He's going to kidnap me," Kakashi said.
"Well you did name him 'Mr. Kidnapper'," Izumi grumbled, eyeing him. "It's quite the hint."
"I don't know if he'll take you and Sasuke too," Kakashi admitted.
"Right now it's not my biggest concern," Izumi admitted. "He's a lot nicer than these assholes."
Kakashi crossed his arms, but he had to admit, Izumi had a point.
"I hate this," Kakashi sighed. "If I wasn't in this condition then I would have been able to protect you and Sasuke. In fact, none of this would have happened-"
Izumi scoffed. "And then you wouldn't have the baby."
Kakashi sighed and leaned against the wall. "I'm not sure if that's the worst idea or not..."
Izumi frowned. "I know the baby came as a surprise, and it has been an overwhelming experience, especially with everything that has happened while you've been pregnant-"
"It's been difficult, but the pregnancy has been going well," Kakashi said. "But it's not that. I'm not cut out to be a parent, Izumi. I can't even protect the kids. Naruto, Sakura, especially Sasuke, they've all been in so much danger since I've become their sensei, and I've been no help to them at all."
"Who told you that bullshit?" Izumi scowled. "No help at all? You kept Orochimaru's curse from taking a complete hold of Sasuke right off the bat. You protected those three when everything went wrong during their very first mission out of Konoha, when you could have easily turned your back on that village and forced those kids to return. So shut up. You're going to be a great dad, or mum, or whatever you want to call yourself."
Kakashi sniffled. He couldn't stop the tears stinging his eyes, and rubbed at them.
"I hate feeling like this."
"The feeling is mutual," Izumi grumbled, leaning back on the balls of her heels. "Well, least I have nothing else to throw up anymore..."
Kakashi managed a chuckle. "That's good news at least."
"Yey me," Izumi groaned.
.::.
It was that Ishidate whose scent lingered in Kakashi's cell. Obito had to suppress his murderous rage, his Alpha growling, because while the bastard had been in the cell stinking it up, scent was hardly on Kakashi, just that nasty faint whiff. That was the only relief he felt right now. Ishidate hadn't tried to force himself on Kakashi, or if he had, Kakashi managed to fight him off.
But there had been a lot of restraints left on the floor of that cell. There would have been no way for Kakashi to protect himself or the baby.
The thought boiled Obito's blood.
He was watching Ishidate now from Kamui. Ishidate was currently lingering over Sasuke who was still tied up and gagged, smirking down at him. He had a strong grip on Sasuke's hair, forcing his head to tilt aside, revealing the curse mark on his scent gland. Obito winced at the sight. No pup should have to suffer through that, but as always, this world was a nightmare.
"I've only ever seen a pup marked on their scent gland once," Ishidate said quietly, chuckling. "It's a rare thing indeed, but actually a good way to enforce obedience on a partner early on in the relationship."
A shudder of disgust trailed its way down Obito's spine. Shit, if Itachi was here right now, he'd have ripped Ishidate's head right off. Izumi (if she was in the right condition) might have done even worse.
Aina was watching them, her pale face, eyes haunted, but that smile was still plastered on her face. Michiru was clutching her hand in his, while talking to his wife, who bristled at him. The pair barely even seemed to notice anyone else was there.
Sasuke let out a muffled hiss from behind the gag, jerking back when Ishidate brushed a finger over the curse mark, Sasuke's scent gland.
"The girl listened to everything her bonded told her to do the day she had her first heat," Ishidate said. "I think that sounds like a good thing. Obedience. The perfect obedience."
Sasuke looked ready to vomit.
Obito had enough of this piece of shit. He appeared behind Ishidate, and before the bastard had any time to react Obito wrapped his chain around Ishidate's neck, choking him. Ishidate clawed at his neck, gasping and wheezing. Michiru cried out, stumbling out his chair, but Aina held a dagger to his throat.
"Sit down and shut up," Aina ordered coldly, smiles and false cheer all gone, dead in an instant. "I will not hesitate to carve out your throat."
Obito smirked at the idea, but he kept his attention on Ishidate. "Your friends are all dead, by the way," he said. "Kakashi Hatake killed them all in cold blood."
Sasuke tensed up.
"He's fine." Obito eyed him. "As are Izumi Uchiha and the baby. They're resting now." Obito tightened the chains, watching them dig into Ishidate's neck, listening to his choked gasps and wheezes. "You took my bonded." It took everything in his power to not say 'mate'. That would have been bad with both Sasuke and Aina there. Madara's mate had been the First Hokage after all. "You tied him up, put him in a cold, dark cell, and stressed him out during his pregnancy."
Kill them.
Obito grinned hungrily. There was no doubts there. Ishidate was going to die. But not Michiru. That weak willed pig was going to be another puppet of Obito's, as a punishment though, Michiru was going to lose his entire family. He'd kill the King, and give the pup back to his mother and let them go somewhere far away from Michiru.
Michiru would be forever alone.
Obito would make sure of it.
