(Calliope - POV)
I sighed happily as I witnessed Michael come to take Star out on their first official date. It was so cute. They were such a cute couple. An arm wrapped around my shoulders as the person the arm belonged to sat beside me. I leaned my head against the jacketed shoulder of Marko. His fingerless gloved hand grabbed my chin and shifted my head up and to his face. He kissed me, it was so soft and sweet. My Marko had always been so rough with everything in life but with me he had always treated me like I was a Faberge egg. The most precious of glass artwork. Even now in this new life of mine, he still handled me with absolute care.
I couldn't help but remember a time we had been to the theatre in St. Louis. Some drunkards had come into the hall and had sat near us. It turned into a brawl. Marko mopped the floor with them all, onlookers couldn't believe the savage brutality he possessed. Then as if nothing had happened, he cradled my arm in his as he escorted me back to our hotel. I smiled from the memory just as he pulled back from me to allow me to breathe. He leaned in again. Fangs nipping at my bottom lip. He pulled me over onto his body as his arms wrapped around me.
"Yuck!" Laddie's little voice said.
We turned to look over at the small boy. He was standing with Sam who had a wrinkled nose. I heard Sam say ew, gross. Dwayne patted Laddie's small head, like he was rewarding him for interrupting Marko and me. I rolled my eyes; he was messing with us. Marko stood with me and pulled me over into his side as we walked off the boardwalk down the beach.
"Wait for me!" Paul hollered and ran after us.
Paul stood on my other side. We chatted as we walked down the beach towards a secluded bonfire party. The music was good. I could smell still hot pizza and beer on the air with the sea breeze. There was just a handful of people as we approached on the outskirt.
"Hungry?" I asked aloud as they nodded.
In a flash the little bonfire of friends became a meal to my men. They feasted quickly on the people. I watched as I grabbed a beer from the cooler. Ahhh, nice and ice cold. I popped the tab and opened the pizza boxes sitting on the beach towel. Mmmm, a piping hot cheese and pepperoni and oh, looked like an extra cheese pizza too. I pulled a slice of the stringing cheese out of the box and sat cross legged as they tossed the drained and ravaged bodies into the roaring fire. I ate as they cleaned up their mess.
When they finished, they plopped down on either side of me as I ate my stolen pizza. I went to get a second slice when I looked over at Paul. I was stopped. The blood that had leaked from either side of his mouth while he had eaten... gave me pause. The bonfire light with the shadows casting on him, I just leaned forward to him. He finished the gap between us. His lips teasing me as he nipped at me. Just as playful as he had always been. I sighed at the memories that flooded my brain.
His large hands went up the back of my shirt. I pulled back to breathe; Marko by us. I turned to him. Fangs once again nipping at my lips as Paul went for my neck. It had been so long. Too long, since I had been in either of their arms. It has been so long; was my thoughts as they took me down between them onto the sand.
