Disclaimer: I do not own The Lost Boys.

(Lucy - POV)

It was Sunday evening, and the video store was closed. I had arranged for Max, his boys and my boys to go out this evening. When they all arrived at my house, I kept the girls and Laddie. I ushered the others out of the house. Even my father. Laddie was the only boy allowed to stay... well, and Nanook.

"Shoo, all of you go out together. It's a girl's night here!" I said as I pushed them all out and shut the door.

I could hear behind me Laddie asking why he was staying. Star had told him it was because he was extra special and would get to have treats with us. He was soothed by that. I saw Calliope laughing behind her hand as she waved with her other hand as I shoved them all out. I was hoping for things to work out between Max and I, so our families needed to spend time together. When I finally got the door closed, I turned to the girls.

"Tacos?" I asked and they nodded.

We all went to the kitchen and made tacos. Laddie just watched and colored as we cooked and made up the plates. I made a pitcher of lime margaritas for us to sip on. I made Laddie chocolate milk. We sat and chatted as we ate the tacos and sipped the margaritas. We got Laddie's belly full and bathed and it wasn't long before he was yawning heavily. I put him to bed in Sam's bed so he could rest. I returned back to the girls and began my true objective. We moved the margaritas to the living room.

"So, girls, um... I know about the vampires." I said to them.

Calliope nodded and Star looked at me with something akin to sadness and weariness on her face. I patted her hand in comfort.

"Max finally told you." Calliope commented as I nodded, "Finally, he changed his path."

"Are you ok with some of us being vampires?" Star asked.

"Darling, I am alright with it. I thought long and hard about the revelation. And I realized you were vampires when I met you, why would that change who you are after I found out?" I explained to soothe her.

Star smiled and sighed heavily. This had seemed to be weighing on her. She was a sensitive girl. I smiled at that, she was so perfect for my sweet boy, Michael. He could not do better that her. I knew that for absolute sure.

"So, how did all of this happen? How did you girls end up in a cave with vampires?" I asked them.

"I... mine was an accident. It had been storming and I had been picked up by David. He took mercy on me since I was a runaway and homeless. They took me back to the cave. They fed me noodles and gave me a place to sleep. I got thirsty when I woke up. They had gone to bed, and I found a wine bottle. I'm not partial to wine but there wasn't anything else. I opened it and sniffed it, it smelled ok, and I took a few sips. Turns out it was our sire's blood wine. Within like half an hour I was dizzy, and I fainted. When I came to, David, was standing over me. He was holding the bottle. He told me what it was, what they were, and that I was now one of them; well, I was a half vampire. I've never drank blood, so I have never completed the transition." Star told her story to us.

"How did Laddie come to be with you all?" I asked her.

"Laddie chance upon the cave while the rest of us was gone. He was cold, hungry, and tired. His mother had been murdered right in front of him. So, he was on his own. When we got back to the cave, we found him passed out with the wine bottle lying spilled beside him. We made him a bed and placed him in it to rest. I watched over all night and fell asleep when the sun rose. He didn't wake until the next evening. He, too, is a half vampire. We've all been caring for him since." Star explained about Laddie.

I was saddened to hear that little Laddie was the other half vampire that Max had told me about. He was so young. Too young to bear the weight of immortality. I turned to Calliope then, she was the human amongst them then. Max had mentioned that there was one human amongst them. She saw me looking. The face she made then gave me a flash back of a young woman I had met at Woodstock. The same young lady I had thought about the night I made chili dogs for them all.

"Well, I'm human. I actually hunted them all down. It was no accident that I ended up encompassed in the group." Calliope told me.

"That must a story to tell then." I sipped my cold margarita.

"Oh yeah." Star muttered as she sipped her own beverage.

Calliope laughed at Star's words, "My story with the boy's spans over 300 years."

"How is that possible if you're human?" I asked aghast.

"I was born in 1660. I have died 4 times, and this is my 5th life. I remember all of my previous lives." Calliope explained.

"Incredible. If I hadn't been proven about vampires, I would think you were bonkers. But after being shown vampires are real, being a reincarnation isn't a stretch." I commented.

"Yeah," Calliope grinned, understanding, "It has been an interesting life for sure."

"I bet it has. The stories you could tell." I commented to her wishing to hear of her lives.

"I haven't heard the stories about you. Would you mind telling me?" Star asked of her.

"I wouldn't mind at all. Just remember that each of these lives are in different times of their own. Three of my life's women had no rights. I was literally a piece of property to be sold at my father's whim." she warned us, "I was born 1660 in my first life. I was born Elisabet, and I was betrothed to David the very day I was born. He was not but a year older than I was when we were betrothed. I was unwillingly married to him when I was 15, he was 16."

"Unwilling?" Star asked, "You and David are so in love."

"Wait the same David with the mullet?" I asked for clarity and Star nodded.

"Yes, unwilling. I refused. I tried to escape the castle and David had been the one to catch me as I was attempting to climb over a wall to get away. I fought him tooth and nail. And that had done nothing for me but served to just turn him on and he threw me over his shoulder and carried me to the altar much to my father and mother's horror. I had not known he was whom I was to marry. David was very much in love with me. We had met many times growing up and I had been sent to learn at his mother's elbow about how to be a lady. Well, we were married. I was a studious wife and David loved my fiery spirit. He never tried to tame it out of me. We became passionate lovers, and we had a son within the year of our marriage. Then another when I had turned 18. Both the youngest son and I died during a cholera outbreak shortly after I turned 20." Calliope spoke of her first life.

"Oh, no! My dear that is... just heartbreaking." I said to her as my own eyes brimmed with tears.

"Yes. Then I was born again in 1776. The war had just ended. When I was 16 my family moved west. We had settled in the Wyoming area. We had been there less than a year when Indians passed through. I was outside pulled water from the creek when a shadow came over me. I turned around to a painted horse with a Dwayne on the back of it. Before I could even think to run, he snatched me up and laid me over in front of his lap. I screamed for my father. I remember seeing him come running from the barn, my mother was wailing as they rode off with me." she spoke.

"He kidnapped you!" Both Star and I all but shouted.

"Yeah. My name was Sarah then. I was the eldest daughter to my family. When Dwayne kidnapped me, he of course took me back to his tribe. I did not make the ride easy on him. I bit him on the leg at one point and slid off the horse and took off running. He caught me and spanked the hell out of my ass. I did not try to escape the rest of the ride. I simmered the whole way after that. Mhmm. When he got me to his teepee, he sat me down, low and behold he spoke English. His grandfather was a guide that learned English and taught those who wished to learn." she explained.

I was shocked that quiet and sweet Dwayne would ever do such a thing. The look on Star's shocked face told me she thought the same thing. Dwayne spanked her. Unfathomable!

"Apparently, he decided to keep me. He loved the gold of my hair, and he was enamored with my fighting spirit. Biting him had been the wrong thing for me to do whilst I had been tossed across his lap. He spoke to me and told me to behave myself. It wouldn't do well for me to run off and get eaten by wolves before he could find me. I had weighed my options right then. Eaten by wolves or stay with him. In those days we had been pushed to commit suicide if ever taken captive. I never liked the thought of that, so I complied. I was going to bide my time and find a way to get away. Well, it didn't happen that way. He was good to me. I adapted to be one with the tribe. I learned the language and helped with the women's work. Over time I just fell for him. It was storming terribly one night, and I was terrified. At one point a tree had been uprooted outside and it was so loud I had rushed to him and latched on to him. He just held me to him as I shivered from fright." she had continued as a look of happy remembrance come across her face.

I knew that look. She was so in love with the memory. It had been such a touching moment for her. She cleared her throat then and continued.

"Well, one thing led to another that night. We spent the hours in each other's arms. It was something I will remember forever. After that night Dwayne had gone before the chief and had gotten permission to marry me. We had a ceremony shortly after. I was with the tribe for 3 years before the army invaded and I lost my life and the baby inside me perished as well." she finished her tale of Sarah and Dwayne.

I was heartbroken for her. This poor girl had lost two lives, three children and two husbands. And she still had two more lives to go.
