Title: Expecting the Unexpected

Team RWBY had long since graduated from Beacon Academy and had settled into a comfortable life together in a cozy house on the outskirts of Vale. They were no longer just teammates; they were a family. But little did they know that their bonds would be tested in the most unexpected way.

One quiet morning, the peaceful atmosphere of the house was shattered by the sound of retching. Weiss jolted awake, her heart pounding with concern. She followed the noise to the bathroom, where she found Ruby doubled over the toilet, her face pale and drawn with discomfort.

"Weiss..." Ruby groaned weakly, her voice strained.

Weiss's worry intensified as she knelt beside her partner. "Ruby, what's wrong?"

Ruby looked up, her eyes tired and bleary. "I-I don't know... I just feel awful..."

Weiss frowned, a sinking feeling settling in the pit of her stomach. She had heard of such symptoms before, symptoms that often accompanied a life-changing event.

"Ruby, have you been feeling like this for long?" Weiss asked, her voice laced with concern.

Ruby shook her head, her breaths coming in ragged gasps. "N-no, just this morning..."

Weiss's mind raced, connecting the dots. Could it be...?

"Ruby, I need you to stay here," Weiss said firmly, pushing aside her own uncertainty. "Don't tell Yang and Blake anything until I get back, understood?"

Ruby nodded weakly, confusion clouding her gaze. "O-okay, Weiss..."

With a determined nod, Weiss hurried out of the bathroom, her thoughts racing a mile a minute.

Returning home with a sense of urgency, Weiss wasted no time in seeking out Ruby. She found her sitting on the couch, looking pale and exhausted.

"Ruby, I need you to take this," Weiss said, holding out a small box.

Ruby glanced up, confusion flickering in her eyes. "What is it?"

"It's a pregnancy test," Weiss replied softly. "I need you to take it."

Ruby's eyes widened in shock. "W-Weiss, I... I can't be..."

Weiss placed a comforting hand on Ruby's shoulder. "Just... take it, Ruby. We need to know for sure."

With trembling hands, Ruby took the box from Weiss and disappeared into the bathroom. The minutes stretched on, each one feeling like an eternity as they waited in silence.

Finally, Ruby emerged from the bathroom, her expression a mix of fear and wonder. She handed the test to Weiss, unable to meet her gaze.

Weiss's heart skipped a beat as she saw the two distinct lines on the test. It was positive.

Taking a deep breath, Weiss turned to Ruby, her voice steady despite the turmoil in her heart. "Ruby... you're pregnant."

Tears welled up in Ruby's eyes as she nodded, a myriad of emotions swirling within her. "W-Weiss, what do we do now?"

Weiss enveloped Ruby in a gentle embrace, her own eyes misting with emotion. "We'll figure it out together, Ruby. Whatever happens, we'll face it together."
