Chapter 7

Abel meeting Maria was a hit and every weekend Sophia would take him up there to see his second grandmother. Maria was smitten with the charming boy. Knowing she wouldn't get grandkids from her son and his wife. She was content to spend time with their godson. Weeks after the hit and Happy coming back from Canada. Sophia was getting into a new routine for her family.

"Babe where are the old towels we put aside for the garage?" Happy asked as he watched his wife play with Abel. It was another weekend and they had their godson. "I put them in a tote so they wouldn't clutter up your work space. Should be in the work cabinet near your tool rack." She picked the baby up and walked up to her husband. Letting happy hold them both witha tenderness no one would believe he had.

"I am working on your car. It's overdo for some work and I want you safe if you'll be carting around abel." Happy wouldn't say it but his wife knew he loved watching her and Abel together. They weren't interested in having kids of their own. But their godson was their pride and joy. "Gemma is setting up a party for Abel and I feel like it is a front for something."

Sophia pulled away and settled Abel down for a nap. His monitor turned on and sat on the coffee table. "Let me guess she invited Tara while Jax is still working things out with Wendy." She hated Gemma's need to manipulate things. "Yeah and Jax knows Tara will be there. Seems he's starting to distance himself from his mother. Hence why you and I have him almost every weekend now."

He sat down beside her and pulled her into his side. "You sure you want me to do this Soph? Does Opie know what you got planned?" He would do it of course and didn't feel an ounce of regret for it. The things he had witnessed, it was enough for him to want to go on a rampage. "Opie knows and has made peace with it. Still loves her but wants it too look like an accident. He will no doubt be upset when he finds her but it needs to be done."

She threw her leg over her man and moved into his lap. Her hands framing his face as she looked into his dark eyes. "I trust you baby and Ope trusts you. He'll grieve for her no doubt but it needs to happen." They had talked this over for two weeks now. Sophia had pulled Opie aside and alked to him. Gave him some cold hard truths about his wife and what Happy had seen happen behind the mans back.

"We have a bit of time before he wakes up. What do you say killer to a bit of fun." She got off her husband and shot him a wink. Then swept up the baby monitor and raced to their bedroom. Happy hot on her heels before he shut their door. All that could be heard was the muffled sounds of pleasure.

Two hours later found Sophia panting bneath her husband. Her hair messy and eyes bright as she let her husband rest his head on her chest. "Damn babe." She looked down at him and grinned. Times like this made her cherish it all. "Something tells me this was more than just you showing me who I belong to."

He grunted and rolled off his wife and onto his back. Letting her curl into his side and rest her head on his chest. "It's not but just so you are aware I do love you Soph." She smiled as she layed an arm across his stomach. Fingers tracing over his many tattoo's as she smiled into his chest. "I love you too Hap."

They heard Abel begin to cry through the monitor. "I got him Soph." He got up and slipped on a pair of boxers. Then left the room where she heard him talk to Abel. She got up and slipped on her robe before joining her husband. Watching as he handled the baby and making her smile.

"Jax will be here in a few hours to pick him up and take him home. Wendy will be off work then so she can spend time with her son." She left the room while he had Abel in order to get dressed. Then started fixing up a late lunch. She was joined by her husband who handed her the baby to feed. Setting the table for her while she took care of their godson.

"Party is tonight so You have to get Opie to set it up so Donna is alone. I have someone in place who will make it look like an accident. Have to stay with you so no one suspects it was an inside job. He's one of my contacts and unaffiliated." He told her as he plated her up a sandwhich and some slices of fruit.

She nodded and rocked Abel as he fed. Using one hand to eat while she held Abel. He was strong enough to mostly hold his bottle on his own. But still needed help and that is what she was doing. "Babe do you miss it?" She looked at him as she used her knee to lightly bump against the babies butt.

"When we first got together I did. But then my ma set me straight with some truths. Told me how rare someone like you were and that I would be a fool let you go. Took me almost letting a croweater tempt me to realize my ma was right. Now though I don't because I have you. We had a rough time of it at the start but we pulled through. Almost 10 years Sophia and I still can't walk away from you. I trust you with my life Sophia and I know you trust me. I love you and I will never break your heart."

He took Abel once he was done with his bottle. Letting his wife actually eat her lunch while he burped the baby. "Hap we have had our fights and we have been through rough patches. But being with you has always made me happy. This life you live, I get it and support it. You'll never lose me and I know you'll never break my heart."

Thier talk was interrupted by a knock on their door. Happy stood up and with Abel still in his arms. Answered the door to see Jax who instantly took his son from his brother. His lips quirked as he picked up the smell on his brother. "Tell me you atleast waited until he went down for a nap." Happy cuffed him over the head and led him inside. "You know we did Jax. Now stop picking on my husband." Sophia tossed a piece of fruit at him with smile on her face.

"Take your son and go Jax we'll be there tonight for our godsons party." She got up and started cleaning up the kitchen. "And Jax if you hook up with Tara I will cut your cock off. Then I will find the bitch and kill her in the most gruesome of ways possible." With that she smirked and left the boys to it while she left to get ready.

Jax watched her in slight fear. "Bro your wife is scary as shit when she does that." Happy smirked, "my old lady knows how to be threatening when she needs to be." He stood up and got out a beer then leaned against the fridge. "How are you and Wendy getting on." He asked his brother as he listened to his wife putter around in the bedroom. "Doing good actually. We won't ever get back together but we are working well as a team."

Happy threw his empty beer away and went around picking up Abel's things. "You should head out and get him to his mom before the party tonight." Jax nodded and grabbed the bag that was held out for him. Then left the house and headed home.

The party was in full swing when Sophia noticed Tara try and corner Jax. So while her husband was whispering with Opie. She walked over and shoved Tara away. "Bitch do I need to show you why my husband married me?" Her eyes narrowed at the bitch. "This isn't any of your business Sophia." Tara glared at her as she tried to come off as threatening.

"I got this Jax go over to Hap and Ope." She smiled at Jax before grabbing Tara by the hair. No one paid any attention to the woman being dragged off. Once they were in one of the rooms. She toss Tara on the floor and quickly pinned her with a knee. A hand around the doctors throat as she squeezed hard. "Now you listen here bitch. You stay away from Jax. He doesn't want you nor love you. You come anywhere near that baby or Jax and this club again. I'll kill you painfully and slowly until I've had my fill and then bury you where no one can ever find you."

Tara was smart enough to realize Sophia meant everything she said. But she wasn't smart enough to stay away. "He'll change his mind you'll see. We have history and I am still his old lady." Sophia snorted as she slapped her with her free hand. "No you are not and he won't change his mind. The Jax you knew is dead. That man out there wants nothing to do with you. Leave or I'll kill you now and be done with it." She got off the doctor and watched as she took off without a backwards glance.

She rejoined her husband who gave her a look. Noticing that Donna was missing and realized the plan was in motion. She just kissed him softly and stole Abel from his grandmother. It wasn't long before Clay got a call and the boys raced to their bikes. She paid it no attention as she cuddled her godson. That plan it seems went off without a hitch. And now Opie could mourn her and eventually find someone who can handle club life.

Several hours passed before Jax and Happy came back. Happy was there to pick his wife up and Jax needed time alone with his family. "Everything okay baby?" Sophia asked as she had just returned from putting Abel down. Wendy was there watching him sleep. "Yeah little girl." He wrapped an arm around her and led her over to his bike. "Lets go home." He helped her onto the bike then started it up. In no time at all he was taking them home.

It had been a rough couple of days and the club was handling funeral arrangements. Happy was running jobs left and right while everyone was busy. It wasn't that he didn't want to help. He just didn't want to be in anyone's way. Sophia was making sure Opie and his kids got enough food to eat. That he wasn't waisting away. Even though he had agreed to the hit and gave permission. He still loved her and would mourn her for a long while.

It was times like these that made Sophia a god send to the boys. She and Happy had chosen to stay at the clubhouse until after the funeral. A decision they would do for almost anyone in the club. Clay and Gemma not being one of them. Sophia could see the confusion in their eyes. But she would never tell them because to everyone one else. It was an accident and accidents do tend to happen.

The funeral was beautiful and Sophia could tell just from his touch that her husband didn't regret it. Neither of them were all that close to Donna. She treated Opie like shit and screwed with his head. She had been a threat the moment she started stirring things up at the club. They were here though to support Opie and his kids. After the funeral Sophia gave Opie a hug. "You'll be okay Ope. Take your time. Properly grieve for your wife and then open your heart for a new love." Opie smiled at Sophia for her words. No matter what she had always put the club first. "Thanks Soph. I'll do that. My kids need me more anyways." He gave her a squeeze before heading off to his kids. Her husband came to her side and they were soon on their way home.

Author's Note: Okay so season 1 is wrapping up. The next chapter will be a sort prelude to the next season. New things will be added and a few things will be changed. Bobbie was not help behind bars for three weeks. And Stahl will never make an appearance in this story.
