"But King Arthur! You need a queen!" Calibur said to Sonic "We've already discussed this, Calibur. I'm not interested in getting a queen right now."

Sonic was tired of hearing his trusted sword nag him about the matter, but Calibur was not ready to give up just yet. "but sir-" Sonic cut him off "No! I'm not interested!"

Sonic was getting angry and Calibur could tell.

"But my Lord, you need to show interest in a queen sooner or later. We can't have you going around alone forever."

"I want to be free! Not stuck in a castle my entire life!"

"But you are the King, my Lord. Your royal duties require you to make public appearances. You need to appear in events of great ceremony, like the choosing of the queen. The people expect the king to take the role seriously and make an effort to look for a suitable bride." Sonic rolled his eyes "what if I don't want one?"

"Then you risk being seen as a careless and irresponsible ruler. The people may even start to question your leadership and wonder if you're fit to rule."

Calibur was getting more concerned by the minute. Not having a queen was bad enough, but a king who cared so little about the role he was given was even worse. A knock was heard from the door, he shifted and said whoever was at the door was told to come in, it was Sir Percival

Sir Percival entered the room, bowing his head politely to King Arthur.

"My Lord," he said, "the knights of the round table are ready to begin the choosing of the queen. We await your word." He didn't answer, he was just in an argument with Calibur. He didn't feel like causing another one. Sir Percival saw the tension between his king and his sword.

She understood the gravity of the situation, and did not want to interfere further.

She stood silently and waited for King Arthur to speak. "I'm not ready for one yet" he said to her "Of course, my Lord," Sir Percival replied. "The ceremony can be delayed for as long as you wish."

Sir Percival was understanding and respectful of King Arthur's wishes. She knew that it was important to allow the king to make his decisions in his own time, and to not pressure him into anything he was not comfortable with.

When Sir Percival left the room, King Arthur was left facing his own thoughts.

He was torn between his desire for freedom and his responsibility as a king.

He didn't want to let down his duties, but he didn't want to be chained to a castle either.

He hoped that he could find a balance between the two. "King Arthur, you must make a decision soon," Calibur finally spoke. "The knights of the round table will not wait forever before naming someone else as queen." Sonic looked at the sword and sighed "I know it's a difficult choice," Calibur continued, "but you need to think about what is best for the kingdom. You have a responsibility to the people and the land, and refusing to name a queen is not living up to that responsibility."

The door opened again "King Arthur, forgive me for interrupting but it's time for bed" Sir Percival said "forgive me for the other knights" Sonic was surprised to see Sir Percival enter the room again, but he was thankful for the interruption. He was tired after all the argument with Calibur and was ready to go to bed.

"It's fine," Sonic said to Sir Percival, "I understand that you need to take care of your duties as a knight of the round table. I will attend the ceremony when I am ready."

Sonic heads to his room, the other members of the round table were outside of his room guarding "goodnight my king" she said then shut the door Sonic was grateful to Sir Percival for her respect and understanding.

He went into his room and closed the door behind him, relieved to have some time to himself.

He lay in bed and thought about what Calibur had said to him earlier about needing a queen. He worried that he was letting the kingdom down and making a mistake by delaying the ceremony any longer

The knights of the round table were discussing the situation with each other.

Sir Gawain was perplexed and baffled by Sir Galahad's unexpected confession.

"You mean you've actually fallen in love with the king?" Sir Gawain asked. "How could you fall in love with him? He doesn't even want a queen?" He questioned "there's something about him... You must understand-"Sir Percival was cut off by Sir Lancelot slamming his fist on a table "A KNIGHT CANNOT BE WITH A KING!" Sir Lancelot's outburst surprised Sir Gawain and the other knights. He was known for being calm and cool-headed, so to hear him shout so ferociously was concerning.

Sir Gawain looked at Sir Percival with sympathy, realizing that her feelings for the king were a big deal. Sir Lancelot made it clear that the round table would not accept her being with the king. "Forgive me if I sound rude, but-" Sir Lancelot interrupted once more, his voice seething with anger and disdain.

"You must be out of your mind, Sir Percival! How dare you think you can be with the king! He has no interest in queens or love or romance. He is only focused on his duties as a king. You need to forget him and move on." Sir Percival blurred out "but I love him!", everyone was quiet. Sir Percival's words stunned the knights.

They realized just how deeply she was in love with the king to the point where she was willing to disregard everybody else and ignore their warnings.

Sir Lancelot tried to regain some semblance of control over the situation.

"This is ridiculous," he said, "You must be mad! He is the king, and you can't be with him! He doesn't want you, he could never love you!" Sir Lancelot's comments provoked an angry reaction from Sir Percival.

"You don't know anything!" she shouted back. "You don't know what's in his heart, or what he's thinking. You're all only thinking about yourselves, trying to keep me away from him. I love him, and I'm going to make him see that he loves me too-" "SIR PERCIVAL WE ARE ONLY HERE TO SERVE KING ARTHUR! AND THAT IS IT!" Sir Lancelot was shouting now, furious that Sir Percival was not only willing to ignore the warnings of her fellow knights, but also that she saw nothing wrong with her feelings toward King Arthur.

"WE DO NOTHING EXCEPT OUR DUTY!" He added, slamming another fist on the table.

Sir Gawain looked at Sir Percival with pity, realizing that in Sir Lancelot's eyes she was being selfish and not taking their position seriously. "But he saved me-" she got cut off again "because that's what knights do!" Sir Lancelot was not having any of her arguments and was shutting down any points she was trying to make.

He wanted to get it through to her that her feelings for the king were not justified.

"He saved you because that's his job! That doesn't mean anything. You cannot fall in love with the king, it's not right."

The atmosphere of the room was tense after Sir Lancelot's outburst.

Sir Percival looked around at the other members of the round table, hoping for at least someone to give her support. However, none of them spoke. Sir Percival left the room, feeling disheartened and disappointed by the way the others had treated her. She felt like she didn't fit in with the rest of the round table and that they couldn't understand her feelings for the king.

She went back to her duty and waited outside of King Arthur's room. She opened the door to see Sonic waking up in a cold sweat "King Arthur are you alright?" She said Sonic was groggy when he woke up, feeling disoriented and startled.

He looked up and was surprised to see Sir Percival standing over him, showing concern.

He took a moment to get his bearings before answering her question.

"I'm... fine," he mumbled. "Just had a bad dream."

"forgive me for asking.. but what was it about?" Sonic felt reluctant to tell her what the dream was about, not wanting to reveal the emotions that it had brought up.

He didn't want to seem weak-willed or sensitive to a knight so devoted and loyal as Percival.

"Just a nightmare, don't worry about it." Sir Percival could sense that Sonic was not being completely honest.

She could tell that the dream meant something to him, but she respected his wishes and didn't press the issue further.

She just stayed by his side, making sure that he felt safe and comfortable even while still half asleep. After a while, Sonic seemed to have calmed down and collected himself better.

He was slowly starting to feel better and was thankful to Sir Percival for being there with him.

He finally broke the silence. "Thanks for waiting up with me," he mumbling. "your welcome King Arthur" she bowed, Sonic looked at her with gratitude.

They stared at each other for a few moments, with both of them feeling the intensity of the situation. It was clear that they had developed some sort of bond with each other, even if they didn't understand what it meant just yet.

Finally, Sonic sighed and looked away.

"I'm going to try to get some more sleep," he said. As Sonic went back to sleep, Sir Percival stayed by his side.

She didn't want to leave him alone in his bed after the nightmare he had just experienced.

She sat at the edge of the bed, waiting and watching over him as he slept. 'the round table is disappointed' she thought as Sonic was asleep 'they say a knight cannot fall in love with a king...'

Sir Percival was unsure of what to do.

She knew the round table would not approve of her feelings, but she couldn't help the way she felt about the king.

Her heart was telling her one thing and her duty was telling her another.

No matter how much she wanted to be a loyal servant, her feelings for the king were overpowering her logic. Sir Percival spent the rest of the night guarding the king's room and watching over him in his sleep.

She was overwhelmed by the dilemma she was facing, wanting to respect the duty of her role while also wanting to be true to her feelings. She felt a bit guilty for letting the feelings she had for Sonic get in the way of her duties as a knight.

However, she could not deny the strong connection that they had developed together.

She couldn't just ignore her heart. The other knights saw that Sir Percival was looking weary and exhausted.

They could tell that she had been keeping watch over the king the whole night, and they had a sense that she had something more to say.

Sir Lancelot stepped forward, clearly still angered by this whole situation.

"You haven't let go of your foolish feelings towards the king," he said, "But maybe you will understand how absurd this is if we put it this way. Imagine if a queen fell in love with a knight. That would just never happen." Sir Gawian rolled his eyes "next you want to tell us you want to have intercourse with-" Sir Gawian was cut off by Sir Percival blushing "heavens no!" The other knights were stunned by Sir Percival's immediate and strong reaction.

They had not expected her to react with such strong denial and embarrassment.

Sir Gawain was caught off guard by Sir Percival's reaction, he could not even imagine how she must have felt to hear such a suggestion.

Sir Percival was clearly flustered and embarrassed by the discussion, which was a sharp contrast to her usual stoic and composed demeanor. "What in the world makes you think that I would use King Arthur like that?" Sir Percival said to Sir Gawian "You have had... feelings towards King Arthur, correct?" Sir Gawain said, wanting to make his point clearer and to ensure that he was not misunderstood.

"Yes, but that doesn't mean that I would use him for my own gain," Sir Percival said angrily.

"That's what we worry about," Sir Lancelot said, stepping forward. "We are concerned that you can't separate your desires from your duty as a knight." "I don't want to commit such a... Sinful act with him!"

The other knights were surprised by how strongly Sir Percival reacted.

Sir Percival was clearly trying to defend herself from what she saw her counterparts as accusing her of.

"Sir Percival," Sir Lancelot intervened "Your feelings for the king are forbidden, it is your duty to be loyal to him, not to... lust after him." Sir Percival was now completely furious at their words. She couldn't believe how they could see her feelings for the king as something so vile and disgusting. She felt that they were just trying to push her down, rather than try to understand her heart. "You are the ones who are seeing this the wrong way," she said, pointing a finger at them. "I love the king, truly and deeply. It's not a lustful feeling, but a genuine and true love. I care about him and want to protect him. How can you see my loyalty and love for the king as sinfulness?!" Sir Lancelot couldn't believe what he was hearing. She was clearly not only resisting their warnings about the danger of her feelings for the king, but she was accusing them of misjudging her? It was clear that they would not see eye to eye any time soon. "You know nothing about real love," Sir Percival said, her voice trembling with anger and frustration. "You haven't even tried to understand my feelings. You just want me to fit into your mold of what a knight should be, and can't accept anything different."

Sir Percival remained standing by the door even after the other knights had left. She couldn't believe that she had come to this.

It felt like the others didn't care about her feelings or understand her love for the king. All they cared about was her duty as a knight, and tried to force her into what they thought was right.

Sir Percival was tired and frustrated. She felt alone as she stood at the door, protecting a king who she cared for but she felt didn't understand or love her back. As Sir Percival stood there, she couldn't help but feel a growing sense of loneliness creeping over her. She was left all alone, surrounded by her duty and the other knights' judgmental stares. It felt like no one understood her, and that she couldn't open up about her feelings to anyone without fear of being reprimanded and judged.

Sir Percival tried to force everything out of her mind by focusing on her duty. She told herself that if she continued staying loyal to the king, then everything would be okay. She would be a good servant and get the approval she sought.

However, no matter how hard she tried, her feelings for the king kept pulling her back. It was as if her emotions were too strong to ignore, she just couldn't push them away.

"When are you going to pick a queen my lord?" Sir Lamorak said, Sir Lamorak's voice snapped Sir Percival out of her thoughts and back into reality. To her disappointment it wasn't the king speaking to her, but one of his knights.

Sir Lamorak was curious to know when the king would pick a queen, wondering who he would choose. However, Sir Percival had no intention of sharing the feelings she had for the king, as she was afraid of the consequences of such an admission. "I don't know" Sonic said Sir Lamorak looked at him for a while, his words making him a bit curious.

"Could it be... that you haven't found someone that you consider worthy of your hand?" Sir Lamorak asked, looking at him with curiosity. "Maybe..." the king replied with a hint of reluctance. He couldn't reveal the fact that he loved Sir Percival, as it would put both of them at risk. So, he tried to avoid answering the question as much as possible, hoping that Lamorak would let the matter slide.

'she reminds me of Blaze... Kind, loyal, will do anything for her people..' he thought, Sonic couldn't help but compare Sir Percival to Blaze. She was kind and loyal, always looking out for the people and willing to do anything for the kingdom.

She was the definition of a noble and loyal knight.

The king could help but feel some admiration towards her, which made her even more attractive to him.

He was in love with Sir Percival

He was deeply in love with Sir Percival. Every time he was near her he felt a rush of emotions and feelings.

He couldn't help but get excited when she would defend him or be loyal to him. To him, she was the perfect balance of strength, love, and loyalty. "I will be on my throne if you need me" Sonic said as he walked to the throne room "Of course, my king." Lamorak replied with a bow, and then walked off, hoping to give the king some time to think.

The king now had some time to himself, and he could think about his own feelings towards Sir Percival and whether he should reveal them. Sonic rested his head in his hands and let out a deep sigh as he tried to clear his mind.

He needed to make a decision on whether he should confess his feelings to Sir Percival or not. "King Arthur" Calibur said to him, he looked over at Calibur, surprised to hear his voice.

"What is it, Calibur?" he asked, wondering what his sword wanted to say to him. "Is something bothering you?" The king was surprised that Calibur had noticed his mood, but he was also appreciative of the concern.

"Yes, something is bothering me," the king said, "but I'm not sure I should talk about it." "King Arthur I'm sure whatever is-"

"I'm in love with Sir Percival"

The king's revelation shocked Calibur, and he was taken back by the king's words.

The king had just admitted that he was in love with a knight, and the person he was in love with was someone they already knew!

Calibur was silent, as he wasn't exactly sure what to say to the king in this moment. "but my lord! A king cannot fall in love with a knight-" Sonic looked at Calibur "says who!?" "Everyone!" Calibur replied quickly, "The order of knighthood was not established to make room for these types of inappropriate relationships. Besides, such a relationship would only lead to chaos and instability in the kingdom!"

"Enough!" Sonic said firmly, not wanting to hear more about the supposed impropriety of his feelings for Sir Percival. "but my lord! Everyone in the village and the kingdom-" "I SAID ENOUGH" He yelled, not in the mood to discuss this issue any further. He didn't want to hear any more protests from his knights, or any talk about the supposed impropriety of his feelings.

He knew that he was in love with Sir Percival, she was the only woman he had ever felt this way towards, and he didn't care what anyone else thought. "I love her and that's final," he said firmly, not wanting to discuss the matter further.

He waited a moment while he anticipated that his sword would have more arguments to make. But when he remained silent, he just stared at him with a stare of determination in his eyes. Sonic stared at Calibur, with a determined glare in his eyes. The look in his eyes said that he didn't care what anyone, even his sword, had to say about his love for Sir Percival.

King Arthur walked out of the room and out of the castle, heading straight for the village.

He needed some time to himself. The king needed time to think, and be away from the other knights and their judgments. King Arthur stepped inside, greeted by the two-tailed fox which served as both a friend and assistant to the blacksmith.

He was relieved to be back in the village, where people wouldn't know his secret.

He could just focus on the mundane details of the day and avoid the worries and judgments that had been following him in the castle. "Welcome King Arthur- err, Sonic" the Blacksmith said correcting himself

"It's fine, you can call me by my normal name, I prefer that right now," the king said hastily, clearly just looking for some peace away from his duties.

The blacksmith nodded his head, understanding the situation the king was in. He didn't want to ask any questions or make the situation more bothersome for the king. "what scheme's to be the problem Sonic?"

"No scheme this time," the king responded with a chuckle, "I just needed to get away from the castle for a bit. They're all trying to talk my head off about how I shouldn't love a knight. I just want some peace." Tails saw the look of his face "you love a knight" "Yes, I do," the king said quietly, not wanting to have this conversation again.

Tails seemed to be more understanding of the situation than the other knights, and the king was relieved to have a friend who he could at least discuss his feelings with. "she IS more loyal to you then the other knights of the round table, and she's good with people" Tails said "Exactly! She is loyal and caring. She is so devoted to my cause as king, and she is always looking out for my best interests."

"the gala is next week!" Tails said grabbing wood and throwing it into the fireplace "if the knights don't agree that's their problem!" "Yeah, that's right," the king said confidently, feeling better after talking to Tails.

He needed to stop worrying about the other knights' judgments and just focus on his own feelings.

"I don't care what they have to say, I'm going to be happy. And she'll be by my side, whether they approve or not." Sonic was feeling more confident and decisive. He felt that he was making the right choice, and that he should have faith in his own feelings for Sir Percival. He wasn't going to let the judgment of others dictate his life.

He was finally taking his own fate into his own hands, and he felt liberated. Tails smiled "good luck with the gala" "Thanks, but luck won't be what I need," he replied with a chuckle. He was not going to win anyone over with his charm and charisma, as he had already been rejected by the knights.

He was going to win them over by proving that Sir Percival was the right woman for him, because of all the good characteristics she had.

"I just need to believe in my own decisions, and in her. If I do that, then they'll have to accept it."

Tails laughed and stood back up, Sonic laughed along with him, feeling more relaxed after their conversation. He felt like he was finally taking control of his own life.

He was not going to be afraid of the other knights' judgments anymore, and he was going to prove with time that he had made the right choice with Sir Percival. He stepped out of the blacksmith's house and walked back toward the castle, feeling more decisive and determined than before. With Tails' words of encouragement, he felt more confident.

He was going to have faith in himself and in his decisions, and he was going to prove the knights wrong by making his romantic interest with Sir Percival work out in the end.

The night of the gala was finally here, and the king was in a nervous state as he prepared for it. He knew that he was going to face the judgment of the other knights, as well as the pressure of finding a wife for himself and the kingdom.

The king was trying to mentally prepare himself for the ordeal. He tried to focus on his relationship with Sir Percival, and remind himself why he felt she was the right woman for him. "My king, the people-" Sir Percival couldn't help but admire him Sir Percival was admiring the king's features as he stood beside him, dressed elegant and regal in the ballroom. She was feeling a mix of admiration for the king and nervousness for the gala. Like the king, she was also trying to mentally prepare herself for the event and hoping that the other knights wouldn't cause any troubles. "I'll be there in a minute... I just need to do something" she snapped out of her thoughts and bowed "as you wish my lord" Sonic nodded and looked at her with a gentle smile as she bowed to him. She was loyal and obedient as always, but he couldn't help but feel a slight bit of guilt for not revealing his feelings to her yet.

He hoped that after the gala, he would have the courage to tell her everything.

The king sighed as he was left alone in the room, feeling relieved to have a short break from the tension beforehand. He took the moment to reflect on his feelings and prepare himself for the gala. Calibur looked at him "my lord, I understand that you are nervous" The king let out a deep breath and smiled at Calibur, trying to hide his nerves and not reveal the fact that he was feeling anxious.

"Yes, I'm a little nervous," he admitted, "but I will be fine. I just need to keep my head cool and focused on the event." "I hope you know what you're doing" he said "I'm sure it will be fine," Sonic said confidently, trying to convince himself as much as his sword.

He took a deep breath and entered the ball room, trying to project a level of confidence and sophistication. The king was greeted by his other knights who had opened the door. They were all waiting for him, expecting to see him enter and take his place at the head of the ballroom.

He knew he would be the center of attention and that all eyes were going to be on him. He took a deep breath and stepped up to the center of the room, ready to face his subjects and try to win them over.

The king took the crown from Sir Lancelot and tried to keep his composure. He looked around the ballroom, taking in all the faces and expressions of the guests and subjects waiting him to make a decision. He knew that this moment was going to determine his future and the future of the kingdom.

He tried to focus on the moment and not worry about what the other knights would think of his decision. Because at the end of the day, who he chose as the queen was his own choice. "CantorLot! Thank you for coming here tonight" Sonic said

The ballroom went silent as they waited for the king's next move. Everyone was anticipating whom he would choose as the queen. It would determine who his wife would be and who would have the power behind the throne. "to everyone who has come here to see who I spend the rest of my life with, I want to thank you" Sonic's speech created a nervous atmosphere in the ball room. The guests were waiting with anticipation for him to reveal his chosen bride. They didn't want to miss this moment, where he would introduce the queen and give her the crown.

His words also gave confidence to some of the knights, who thought that the king's choice was going to be acceptable for the king and the kingdom.

Sonic smiled "but the one I love the most is standing in front of me" The ballroom fell into complete silence as everybody waited for the king to reveal the name of the woman he loved.

Some of the knights held their breath, hoping that the king would choose a noblewoman with good social connections from the upper ranks of society. But others smiled in anticipation of the king's response, knowing that the person he loved was special to him and not necessarily someone with an impeccable bloodline.

The king walked down the walkway and approached Sir Percival, who was standing near the wall of the ball room. She looked up at him nervously, not knowing what to expect from here, but trying to keep her breath steady and a gentle smile on her face. The king took a deep breath and stood in front of her. She could sense his nerves, and she was feeling them as well. However, she was trying to remain as composed as possible, not wanting to let her own worries show. "I want you to be my queen for the rest of my time"

The knights' jaws dropped as the king confessed his love and proposed to Sir Percival. She was a knight, not a noblewoman, so the knights had not expected that the king would have chosen her.

The other noblewomen in the ball room looked at her with jealousy and contempt, as they realized they had missed out on the chance at winning the crown and being the king's queen.

"yes my king"

The guests in the ballroom let out a collective gasp as the king and Sir Percival were joined in an unexpected twist. The other guests stood in quiet surprise as they watched the union between the knight and their beloved monarch.

The knights all nodded in approval, understanding that the king had chosen the perfect bride for himself. The whispers spread across the ball room as guests started mumbling about the union. She was a knight, not a noblewoman, which made the union seem more genuine and less like a political move. The whispers continued throughout the ball room as people talked with one another. Many guests started to realize that the king had chosen a lover not a political asset. They started to wonder if they should have been more accepting of her before the ball and given her a chance, instead of focusing on politics.

Sir Percival's smile was genuine as her eyes met Sonic's. She was feeling happy and relieved that the king had chosen her. As the ball guest began to realize that this union was based on genuine affection and not political interests, many started to smile at the couple and feel genuinely happy for them. There was a general hush in the ball room as the king and his bride-to-be kissed in front of everyone. This was a truly romantic and touching moment, as the king and his beloved sealed their love with a kiss. The guests in the ball room started clapping, slowly at first and then more enthusiastically. The applause slowly grew louder and faster as more people joined in. It was a heartfelt moment for the king and the queen-to-be, and everyone could sense the genuine affection between the couple. Sonic was still smiling as he took his bride-to-be's hand in his. They shared a small look of pure affection and tenderness, a testament to the strength of their love. He was a bit nervous, but also filled with joy and pride, as he felt his feelings towards her were accepted and respected. The crowd continued to clap for the couple in appreciation and awe of this special moment. A soft and gentle music began to play, signaling the end of the speeches and the beginning of the dance. Sonic then took his bride-to-be's hand and slow dance "Arthur" Sir Percival said Sonic looked over at his future wife and smiled warmly. "Yes, my love?" "Forgive me for what the knights said, they didn't-" Sir Percival was cut off by him kissing her, The king kissed her gently, cutting off her words of apology. He knew that what the knights had said had been hurtful, but he also knew that they had been ignorant and judgmental. He was just trying to move on from the situation and look forward to their future together.

Sir Lancelot approached Sir Percyval and knelt down next to her. His face was filled with emotion and respect. "Is it true?" he asked carefully, not wanting to offend or upset her. Sir Perceval replied, "Yes, Lancelot, it's true. I fell in love with the king and he fell in love with me. We will be married and I will be his queen." The knights remained silent, each of them digesting the news that the king would be marrying a knight, not a noblewoman. They were surprised by it, but also wanted to show their respect and humility, not wanting to upset the king or his new bride. The entire ball cheered as someone yelled "to the new queen." The guests were delighted by the fact that the king had found his true love, and that he had chosen a loyal and devoted knight with genuine feelings for him as his wife.

"I'm happy to be with you Arthur" Sir Percival said "Blaze" she said her name to him "I'm glad you are by my side, and I am happy to be with you too, my love." Sonic smiled softly at her.

The guests continued smiling and cheering, enjoying the festivities and welcoming the new queen. It was a wonderful and touching moment, as the king and his beloved were surrounded by happiness and joy
