"So you're telling me that you got the apple from the tree and you ate that apple!" I said to Carlie.
"Yeah!" She said.
"No way!" I said.
"Yes, I did that." she said proudly.
"Wow!" I said, "Nobody even told me there is an apple tree in the house!"
"There is." she replied sincerely, "It's near the pool."
God! She was the cutest person in the whole world!
"Really?" I said.
"Yeah." she said, "Grandpa picked me up and then I got the apple from the tree! And then Grandma cut it for me!"
Grandpa and Grandma! It was so strange to hear her calling Mom and Dad that!
She had met them more than she had met me, and she was really at ease with was out for some business related things, and Carlie was spending another day with them, and I joined them because I fucking wanted to spend more time with my daughter too!
I definitely needed answers from Bella.
She needed to give us all an explanation for her selfish decision... I wasn't going to forgive her for what she did!
I was waiting for the showdown, but maybe it was not the right time.
Not yet.
She just moved back from London, and I knew everything hadn't been easy for her...
"It's a lemonade day today, so Aunt Alice said I should wear yellow!" Carlie grinned at me, "See? My dress also has a lemon!"
"Wow! That's really amazing!" I smiled.
"Do you have a t-shirt with a lemon on it?" She asked me.
"Ummm... No?" I chuckled.
Should I be having that?
"Did you like the t-shirt Daddy is wearing right now?" Alice asked her about my plain black t-shirt.
"No." She said, "I don't like black color!"
Ouch! That's my favorite one!
"I think Daddy needs to get some new t-shirts!" Alice said.
"Yeah..." she said.
"What colors Daddy should get?" Alice asked her.
"Pink." she said.
Well...
"Pink sounds so good!" Alice said, "Any other colors?"
"Purple." She said, "Red."
"Any others?"
Blue?
White?
Black?
Grey?
"Orange. Yellow."
"Are you going to get t-shirts in those colors, Edward?" Alice chuckled at me.
I didn't think so!
But then I looked at Carlie!
Man! Look at her!
She was looking at me with such a hope!
"Ummm... Yeah..." I said.
And that seemed to satisfy her as she smiled widely.
"Can you tell him how we are going to make the lemonade?" Mom said.
"Yeah..." she said, "We are going to get lemons from the tree... And then Grandma is going to squeeze them... And then we are going to add water. I'm going to add sugar!" she said.
"That sounds so exciting!" I smiled.
"Yeah!" She smiled, "Oh look, my shoes also have lemons on them!"
"Wow! They look so good!" I said.
"Yeah..." she smiled as she looked at her shoes, "My Mama got them for me!" She said proudly.
Mama!
I hated her fucking Mama!
She didn't allow me to do anything for her!
I was never going to forgive her!
