After showing Kate and Luke the Tower, Kara and Kate left Luke with J'onn and Brainy at the Tower while they went out for drinks like Kara suggested and to Kate's surprise, instead of taking her to some kind of nice bar or something like she expected, Kara took her to an alien dive bar, not that she was complaining, especially after she had her first sip of Zakarian Ale, something she made a note of finding a way to get a supplier of back home in Gotham and now they were drinking.

"I finally understand why Oliver and Barry always went out for drinks after the annual crossovers." Kara said as she and Kate clinked their drink bottles in a toast.

"I'm surprised they never invited you to it, since aren't the three of you technically the Trinity?" Kate asked with a smile.

"Are you jealous that you're not a merchandisable superhero?" Kara teased.

"Are you kidding, you do realize that Bat merchandise is more popular than any other superhero in Gotham right?" Kate asked.

"But what about outside of Gotham?" Kara asked as Kate playfully smacked her friend's arm.

"Very funny. But still, I'm more popular than the Legends." Kate said.

"Very true." Kara agreed.

"So anyways, have you found any new changes in this reality compared to the old one? I mean aside from the fact that we live on the same Earth now?" Kate asked.

"Aside from the fact that Brainy's in this time period early and that I have a new superhero base I didn't have before, not really. Then again, it's only been about a day so far. What about you?" Kara asked.

"A lot actually. In this reality Bruce hasn't disappeared yet and hopefully he won't now, I'm already working at Wayne Enterprises and Bruce was training me to take over as Gotham's protector. Though my dad's still a dick who hates vigilantes and as far as I can tell, my sister is still a lunatic." Kate said.

"Believe it or not, I know a thing or two about criminal relatives." Kara said.

"Really? I find that hard to believe?" Kate said, since as far as she knew, Kara's family were saints compared to hers.

"You'd be surprised. The reason I became Supergirl in the first place on my old earth was because I was saving my sister's plane after one of my aunt's soldiers tried to kill her. My first year as Supergirl, my big bad was aunt and uncle." Kara said.

"Wow, what did they do?" Kate asked.

"Good intentions with bad actions. They developed mind control technology back on my homeworld Krypton in some kind of perverse attempt to try and force the whole planet to work together to try and prevent the planet's destruction, but they were arrested until our prison crashed on earth and they tried to do it again here, though my aunt did start to come to her senses." Kara said.

"You got through to her?" Kate asked, surprised.

"Yeah I did. I knew that deep down, she and I wanted the same thing. To save this world. But she'd lost herself in her cause and it led her down a dark path. The only reason she stayed committed to her cause here on Earth for as long as she did is because she didn't know I survived. But once she did find out, she began to have doubts. I was getting through to her and I think that if we'd had enough time, I could've brought her over to our side." Kara said.

"What happened?" Kate asked.

"Alex was forced to kill her to save J'onn's life. I was furious at first, but once I had time to process everything, I let it go, since I knew that she was only doing it to protect J'onn." Kara said.

"What about your uncle?" Kate asked.

"Oh, he was a complete evil douchebag and I'm pretty sure he's the reason my aunt went bad in the first place. He corrupted her and manipulated her into doing things his way and after she died, he used her memory as justification for his actions, which quickly turned from trying to save this planet from Krypton's fate, but instead he became like every other maniac, wanting to rule the world." Kara said.

"Well, that's encouraging." Kate said.

"My uncle wasn't related to me by blood. My aunt was and I always believed that there was good in her and I was right in the end. The situation isn't the same, but I think you need to figure out if you believe that there's still good in your sister." Kara said and Kate sighed as she sipped her drink.

"I want to believe there's still good in Beth, but considering the fact that she killed my stepmom and framed my dad for it, I have a hard time bringing myself to believe it. Beth may be my sister, but Alice is one of the most dangerous threats Gotham has faced since the Joker. I can't let my belief that there's good in Beth cloud my judgment, since my first priority is protecting my city. Once I have Alice locked up, then I can try to get my sister back." Kate said.

"I can understand that. I'm well aware that sometimes the life we've chosen requires sacrificing our personal needs and desires for the greater good. I had to give up my boyfriend to save the world." Kara said as she down more of her drink.

"Really, mind telling me how that adds up?" Kate asked.

"Basically it was a Romeo and Juliet type of relationship. My planet was the Capulets and his was the Montagues, but we fell for each other anyways, though his mother did not approve. In fact, she tried to invade Earth and take it over as her new home planet and while she'd initially agreed to a battle royale against me, but she went against her word and attacked the city anyways, so in order to stop her, I had to use a device that made the Earth's atmosphere toxic to his kind, so I had to send him away to save his life." Kara said.

"Wow, that is tough. Did you ever see him again?" Kate asked.

"About seven months later, but at that point, he'd traveled to the future, lived there for seven years and moved on. It was very complicated." Kara said.

"Yeah, and here I thought my dating life was complicated." Kate said.

"Seeing anyone?" Kara asked, changing the topic slightly.

"Not really. One thing that stayed the same in both universes is that the love of my life rejected me just because she wasn't ready to be outed, since apparently at Point Rock Academy, being gay means immediate expulsion, since it goes against the rules." Kate said.

"Seriously?" Kara asked, shocked.

"Yeah. I chose to be true to myself and I thought she would stick by me, but she didn't. She lied to my face and basically denied she'd ever known me." Kate said.

"Wow, that's harsh." Kara said.

"Yeah, tell me about it. Though nothing compared to what you went through. I have had a few flings since Sophie, what about you?" Kate asked, though she was pretty sure she knew the answer.

"No, honestly, after Mon-El, I kind of took it as a sign from the universe that I wasn't meant to be with anyone." Kara said as Kate rolled her eyes.

"Or maybe you were just looking in the wrong place." Kate said.

"Meaning?" Kara asked, causing Kate to sigh.

"Don't tell me you never experimented in college?" Kate asked.

"I had hard enough time controlling myself when I was with guys, so I never really thought about the girls." Kara said.

"Wow." Kate said.

"Are you really going to judge me for that?" Kara asked.

"Of course not. But now I have to ask what was going on between you and Lena Luthor, since you seemed very pissed at her." Kate said, since she was pretty sure she had an idea about what was going on there.

"She used to be one of my best friends, then her brother told Lena my identity in the worst way possible and she betrayed me and the team in every way possible. I'm not sure if I can get past it." Kara said.

"I get that. But Kara, she seemed genuine about wanting to work things out." Kate said, silently adding in more ways than one.

"I know, but she seemed that way once and I trusted her and I can't risk trusting her again only to have her betray me." Kara said.

"That I can understand. But anyways, back to our other conversation, have you ever considered doing any experimenting with other girls?" Kate asked.

"Honestly, I never really took the time to think about it." Kara said, wondering why Kate was bringing this up now.

"Well, you should consider it." Kate said and she could tell Kara was actually thinking about it.

"Maybe." Kara said and Kate smiled, since honestly, it looked like she might finally have a chance to do something she wished she'd done while they were at the Vanishing Point.

"Kara, speaking as someone who's gone through this, though at a much younger age, if you are going to experiment, it needs to be with either a one time thing with someone you're sure you'll never see again or someone you trust completely. Otherwise, things can get messy." Kate said.

"Well, either way, that kind of limits my options." Kara said, though she finally noticed the way Kate was looking at her.

"Uh Kate, how drunk are you?" Kara asked.

"I'm still sober enough to tell you that I'm completely aware of everything I'm saying and give consent." Kate said.

"And you didn't just bring this up out of concern for me did you?" Kara asked.

"Nope. But Kara, if you say no, I'll understand and I won't hold it against you." Kate promised.

"I need to think about it." Kara said and Kate nodded, since that was understandable.

Don't worry, the pairings haven't changed, this is just some harmless fun and it'll serve a purpose later on. This crossover will continue in the next chapter of Batwoman.
