April Showers Bring May Flowers-Ch 21
When the family arrived back at casa Rossi they walked through the front door and were met by Jack and Henry who ran over to their mothers and wrapped their little arms around JJ and Emily's legs and squealed, "hiiiiiiiiiiiiii", causing the mothers to laugh and say, "well hello there" as they picked up their sons.
Fran saw that everybody was smiling and said, "so I take it that the plan was a success?", Derek said, "it was momma anddddddd" he held up Penelope's hand and said, "she said yesssssss", Fran squealed and said, "ohhh that's wonderful news" as she pulled the young newly engaged couple into her arms and hugged them tight.
They were then congratulated by Sarah and Desi who were over the moon for Derek and Penelope, it had been obvious from the first time that they had met Penelope that their brother was head over heels in love with her and to see that they were now getting married made everybody happy.
Reid said, "Lynch confessed everything and we have it on tape so he's going to be going away for a long long time", JJ said, "good riddance to bad rubbish I say", Emily said, "right on sister" causing everybody to laugh.
Fran said, "I know that you two just got engaged but have you given any thoughts to what kind of wedding you want?", Derek looked at Penelope and said, "I want her to have the wedding that she wants, I'm fine with anything", Penelope said, "well I do have a few ideas on what I'd like".
Desi walked over to the desk and pulled out a tablet of paper and a pen, she then walked over and sat down in front of the couple and said, "alright, list some of the things that you want to include in your wedding".
Penelope said, "I would love to get married outside and I want to be surrounded by beautiful flowers", Fran said, "we can take care of that part, the two of you are more than welcome to get married here in the garden", Penelope clapped her hands and said, "really Fran?", she said, "of course honey".
Dave said, "alright, those two things are taken care of what next kitten?", she said, "well I would love to have Jack and Henry in the wedding, maybe they could be the ring bearers, like maybe each one of them carry a ring, I think that would be adorable".
JJ looked at Emily and said, "that sounds completely adorable", Penelope said, "I would love to have all of you in my wedding but I don't think that would be possible, waitttttttt, Desi, would you and Sarah be my flower girls?", Desi grinned and then looked at Sarah who nodded her head yes.
Desi said, "we'd be honored", Penelope then looked at JJ and Emily and said, "will you two be my bridesmaids please?", JJ and Emily hugged her and said in unison, "of course", Penelope said, "well papa bear there is one thing that I would love for you to do for me", he said, "name it kitten".
She said, "will you give me away?", he said, "I would be honored to do that for you", she grinned and kissed him on the cheek and then turned to face the others and said, "other than dresses and bouquets I'm good", she then turned to look at Derek and said, "what about you?", he said, "pretty boy, will you and Hotch be my bestmen?", Reid looked at Hotch who laughed and said, "sure", Reid said, "yes, we can do that".
Derek said, "we need to pick out some tuxes for us and for Henry and Jack", Fran said, "and I can fix a reception dinner and fix the cake", Penelope said, "ohhh Fran, we can't ask you to do that on top of everything else that you are doing".
Fran said, "you didn't ask, I offered, besides I can't wait till you're my daughter, the sooner the better I'd say", Derek intertwined fingers with Penelope and said, "I agree with momma, the sooner we're married the better", Penelope said, "sounds good to me but first we need to get the dresses and tuxes picked out and see how long that's gonna take".
Derek nodded his head and said, "well then we'll go" and pointed to the men and said, "we'll go get our tuxes picked out and you beautiful ladies can look online and find a dres that you like and I'm sure that whatever you can find on there that you like that Patty''s Bridal Shop will have it".
Penelope kissed her soon-to-be husband and said, "I love that idea", Derek said, "and here I thought you only wanted me for my body", she grinned and said, "well there is that too", she blushed at the catcalls but said, "he's mine now so there" and stuck her tongue out causing everybody to laugh.
