Chapter Five

- Maya has met Carina. Been dating a few months. Has been to the fire station a couple times. Met everyone.(WIll come into play later)

15 minutes later Andy stumbled out of his office, tears on her face and as she was rushing to the bathroom she bashed into Vic.

"Andy? What happened?" Vic asked, trying to hold onto Andy's arm but Andy flinched and kept going past Vic, deciding a bunk would be better for privacy.

She closed the door behind her, locked it and fell down onto the bed, tears falling down her cheeks once again and sobs racking her body. I can't do this anymore. She thought as the sobs kept coming.

When the sobs subsided, she wiped the tear tracks off of her face. Okay. Get it together, Herrera. Andy sat up and rested her head in her hands, elbows on her thighs. Hospital. Get to a hospital. Andy thought to herself and got up.

Andy went out of the bunk and down to Maya's office and knocked. She heard a faint come in and opened the door.

"Herrera. What can I do for you?" Maya asked, looking up from the computer. Andy sighed and looked down. Even Maya noticed this was abnormal behavior. "What's going on? Are you okay?"

Andy looked at Maya, "I'm not feeling great." Not a lie. "I know half the shift is over but I think I should go home so I don't get anyone sick." THAT was a lie.

Maya looked at Andy suspiciously but it did look like Andy was exhausted and she thought about how she looked after the call earlier. Maya nodded and could see the relief on her face. "Think you'll be back next shift?"

"I should be. I'll let you know tomorrow how I'm feeling."

Maya nodded. "Alright, just grab something to drink before you drive home, please? You look like you're about to pass out." Andy nodded and rushed out of the office and to the lockers to grab the bag with her clothes. She ran to the beanery to grab a bottle of water and rushed out of the station. She got to Grey-Sloan minutes later. She looked into the ER, trying to avoid anyone she knew when she saw Carina. Shit! I've gotta make sure I avoid her. Just as she was trying to make a run for it, she ran into someone. Meredith.

"Whoa, Herrera. What's going on?" Meredith asked and was surprised when a tear fell from her eye. She saw that Andy was still in uniform with a bag in hand. "Did something happen?"

Andy swallowed, closed her eyes, and then looked at Meredith. She could only bring her voice to a whisper. "I need a rape kit done," Andy told her and looked down. Meredith looked shocked. "I need to know if you could do one." Andy almost pleaded with her. And when Meredith looked at her sadly, Andy shook her head. "This was a mistake." Andy started to walk away from Meredith when she bashed into a nurse, jumped back in alarm, and started to hyperventilate. Meredith gently grabbed one of Andy's elbows and helped direct her to her office.

"Andy, what the hell is going on?" Meredith asked.

"I just told you," Andy said in a small voice, looking down. "Just please get it done."

"You're still in uniform. Did this happen on a call?" Meredith watched Andy nod fast. She could tell that she was lying though. "Come on. There's an OBGYN you don't know that can probably help." Andy nodded and followed Meredith. "I know this probably a dumb question, but did he hurt you anywhere else?"

Andy shook her head. "Just get it done as fast as you can?" Andy asked when they made it to a room and Andy sat down at the medical table they had in place.

"We'll try to." Andy heard a soft voice come from the door.

"Hey. I know you, don't I?" Andy looked at the young woman. "Wilson. Jo is your first name, right?"

Jo gave Andy a gentle smile. "Yeah. It is." Jo sat down the equipment that she had in her hands. "First things first. Can we get all your clothes in these bags and then get you changed into a gown?"

Andy nodded and looked down, Meredith helped put the clothing items into bags and then they began the test. It had taken them seemingly forever to do and when they were done, they let Andy get changed into her casual clothes.

"Thanks, Jo. Mind if I have the room?" Meredith asked Jo and once she nodded and left, she turned to Andy. "Andy…There were some serious tears. Any more damage than there was, you would've needed surgery." Andy closed her eyes, "I need to know if you know who did this to you?"

"I don't know, Mer,"

"Andy, you were still in uniform. Who the hell would have attacked you in uniform?" Meredith was starting to talk louder but when she saw Andy shrink into herself, she held back. "Sorry. I'm sorry. I just wish you would tell me."

"Meredith, I just came to the hospital to make sure I was safe. If I want to go to the police, I have the evidence. Look, I gotta go, okay? I promise I'll be safe."

Meredith looked suspicious but she knew she and Andy weren't all that close so she figured she would have friends checking in on her later. She nodded and Andy pretty much ran out of the room.

When Andy got to her car she sighed, thankful that was over with. Now she needed to decide if she should go to the police or not. She drove to her apartment but paused before getting out of her car. She knew if she told anyone about this, they would tell her to go to the cops, but she was already depressed and she knew if she was alone it would make her depression worse. Fuck! This is all so fucking fucked up.
