Jasper looked around the high school cafeteria, hoping for help from his ex, Alice, wanting to be back together with him after he caught her cheating. He decided to try to find someone to be his girlfriend to throw her off his back.
He spotted the new girl—Isabella Swan; he knew she must be the one for him to do the fake dating with. She looked like a sweet magnolia to him. Hoping she could agree when they're alone together for him to talk to her. He snuck away from the rest and followed her outside the cafeteria to catch her attention to talk to her.
Bella felt someone follow her and turned around to find Jasper with his dark hair in a ponytail and blue eyes with a thoughtful look on his face. Wanting to know what he had to say to her, she stopped walking and decided for him to be beside her to talk to her.
Jasper had his lucky chance to talk to her when she stopped to wait for him. He walked straight toward her. He stood before her as he asked, "Would you help me out by pretending to go out with me to fend off my ex? I don't want to be with her anymore, and she doesn't get the hint. Would you help me, Bella?"
"Sure, but what's in it for me?"
"Just that you can be with me throughout the day, and by then, once she sees we're together and I've moved on and it's for real, she'll finally give me a break. And then, we can go our separate ways. Also, you have to be with me throughout the day even to the end of it. I'll even drive you to my house to spend time with me, if you want."
"Okay, as long as you help tutor me in history because I need help with it as well as math."
"All right, that can be good to arrange."
"We have a deal, Jasper."
"Yes, we do, Bella; looking forward to being with you. Now let's kiss on it to show the crowd of gossiping girls who are coming that we're a couple, and one of them is my ex-girlfriend."
"Okay."
He grabbed her, pulled her into his arms, and kissed her on the mouth, deepening the kiss when she kissed him back, shocked that he felt a spark of something with the kiss.
She felt his arms around her, and to pull the effect in front of others, she pulled his hair to move him closer to her. The kiss deepened; they didn't care about the shocked gasps around them.
He pulled apart from her when he heard, "Oh my god, Jazzy!"
He turned to see Alice and the others and smirked as he pulled Bella closer to him.
"I've moved on, Alice, shouldn't you? This is my girlfriend Isabella."
"B … b … but, Jazzy, you're mine. What are you doing with her?"
She gave Bella a glare, which Bella gave right back and cuddled closer to Jasper to show that they were together.
"What does it look like, Alice? I'm kissing my girlfriend and have moved on from you. Did you really expect me to be with you after cheating on me more than once. I don't respect or like that at all."
"What you heard were lies, Jazzy."
"It's not lies when I've seen you more than once with someone else, Alice. Now leave me be. I've moved on, and you need to as well, and leave Bella alone."
"You'll regret this, Jazzy. She's just using you and will drop you like anyone else."
"No, she won't, and I trust her. Now leave before rumors start to spread since I feel you're stalking me."
Alice huffed and motioned for the others to leave with her in her group, which they did while silently giving thumbs up to Jasper behind her back. Happy he's with Bella and not with Alice anymore.
He turned to Bella once everyone left and hugged her with a sincere smile on his face, then kissed her on the lips one more time, which she returned, and that made him smile.
He said, "Thanks for that, Bella. She can be really annoying and won't quit when she couldn't take the hint I don't want her anymore."
"You're welcome, Jas."
"Jas?"
"Yea, I have a feeling you don't like what she calls you, and I thought I'd call you Jas."
"Jas is fine. I hate Jazzy."
"Good. I'm glad, Jas. Now we have something special with each other."
"Yep, we do, Bella."
"Okay, now let's walk to class together to show we're a couple, if you want.'
"I'd like that, Bella."
He grabbed her hand and held it while walking with her down the hall to their classes together for the rest of the day. With a smile on his face, he knew that things were going to work out just fine.
Later that day in the parking lot, to show everyone in front of the school, he gave her a kiss on the lips, holding her close to him while she pulled on his hair, bringing him closer her.
He pulled away from her lips and smirked, saying, "See you later, Bella."
"See you later too, Jas."
He waved bye and walked to his car, making sure no trouble came for her after he was away from her. He unlocked his car, got in, and drove off, knowing she was okay and no one was bothering her but laughing at Alice. As he drove on the way home, he smiled when he thought about bringing her a flower from his mother's garden.
Bella got into her car and drove home to cook dinner for her and her dad. While cooking dinner and before her dad got home, she thought about Jasper and what he offered her, hoping her crush and feelings won't get in the way.
