Steve Rogers had always been idealistic, believing that if you fought the good fight you could come out on top somehow, or at the very least alive. That had long since been burned out of Bucky with fire through his veins and lightning in his head. Now all that remained was a disenchanted realist who knew that you could fight the good fight forever and never get one step ahead.
