LOCATION: Jill's Apartment
Jill Valentine woke from her nightmare with a jolt, her heartbeat loud enough to be heard in every corner of the room, it was always the same damn nightmare.
"Get's worse every night" she breathlessly exclaimed.
Since the 'incident' at the Spencer Mansion Jill's nightmares had revolved around the zombies- the nightmares made living flesh,
A reality thanks to the Umbrella Corporation and their damn 'T-Virus' an attempt at utilising bio-weaponry for the modern age.
A shiver went down Jill's spine,
As she focused on calming her shaking hands, she looked at the red markings on her desk calendar
"Two more days, then I can kiss this place goodbye!" since her suspension from the police force, she had nothing keeping her here anymore.
Jill stood up from her desk, she had fallen asleep at whilst working 'again',
Her actual bed in her small studio apartment was covered in her belongings that she had started packing into boxes, but her work always beckoned her attention.
She had been unfairly suspended from the S.T.A.R.S Force 'Fucking Irons'
Since her and what was remaining of the S.T.A.R.S team had escaped the horrors in the Arklay mountains, Survived the Spencer Mansion and had thwarted the plans of Albert Wesker-
They all knew deep down that it would be their responsibility to make sure it never happened again and that meant taking out the source of the monster making Virus 'Umbrella'
Jill's eyes narrowed at the wall on her left, she had spend days, no weeks mapping out evidence, missing persons, Corporate hierarchies, Online news articles, her memories of what she and her team had been witness to two months ago.
However upon returning from the Arklay mountains and back in to civilisation the S.T.A.R.S team were dumbfounded when their story of what happened went largely unbelieved and dismissed shattering Jill's trust in anyone anymore,
People had died for Christ sake! Albert Wesker the former S.T.A.R.S Captain and scumbag, lying traitor was officially declared as 'missing' and yet no one believed them.
Jill recalled throwing her coffee at another officer that declared that maybe she just needed 'A little getaway' Chief Irons had officially had enough of her and gave her the ultimatum; Drop her vendetta against Umbrella or be subjected to suspension.
To any outside observer unaware of Jill's story would immediately dismiss her as obsessed, insane, sometimes Jill felt as if she was going insane.
She switched off her TV as it had long degraded into unintelligible static- the large poster on the wall caught her eye, the image quickly relaxed the tense ex-cop.
"Avengers Assemble" she smiled to herself,
She'd got the poster when Stark Industries had organised an Avengers convention last year.
Chris's Captain America cosplay still made her laugh even when she wanted to cry.
Iron Man Aka Tony Stark stood at the centre of the image basking in the attention that rained upon him, on the left stood Captain America and Thor whilst on the right stood a very awkward looking Bruce Banner, the unmutated form of the Hulk, followed by the SHIELD Archer Clint Barton also known as Hawkeye, and at the back looking like she wished to be anywhere else was the Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff.
Jill's gaze remained on the red-head Avenger in the picture, the Black Widow was her favourite, besides being incredibly beautiful the Black Widow was also an absolute bad ass.
Her attention quickly turned to the remnants of her half eaten pizza 'pepperoni, her favourite' it had been sent to her by her S.T.A.R.S teammate Brad Vickers along with a secret note hidden in the greasy box.
It was the only way he could contact Jill now without too much attention, she heavily suspected that all their phones had been bugged.
The note told Jill to keep her head low whilst the heat was on- and went on to tell her that her suspension was complete bullshit and not to worry that everyone at the RPD had her back,
She found the words held little comfort,
She knew the Pharmaceutical company had their dirty fingers everywhere in Raccoon City, she didn't know who she could trust anymore.
The sound of running water quickly caught her attention 'Damn faucet must have gone again' removing her focus from her 'Conspiracy Wall' to the small grimy bathroom,
She felt her chest tighten slightly as she reached to the sink she switched on the light and tightened the tap to stop the flow of water.
Jills reflection looked back at her with concern 'It was just a dream' Jill mentally reminded herself as she turned her head side to side looking for any trace of infection on her porcelain skin 'Yep, just a dream' the tension in her gut subsided as she concluded that she wasn't infected.
She had seen how quick the T-Virus could take affect and the monsters it produced weighed heavily on her endless thoughts, however the ringing of the phone quickly derails her thoughts back to the now
"Who could that be?" it was the first time any one had tried directly to contact her for a while and upon that thought the uneasiness returned to Jill's gut as her ringtone practically screamed at her like a wailing infant
"Alright, I'm coming" she stated out loud as she approached the wailing phone and clicked the answer button
"Hello?" Jill asked only for a familiar voice to answer
"Jill A-are you ok?" it was Brad her colleague from the RPD and he didn't sound like himself
"Brad is that you?" she asked,
Something was wrong- it was the only reason he would be directly calling her like this, his ragged breathing betrayed the pilots fear on the end of the phone
"Listen! You gotta get out of there!" Brad yelled afraid for the life of his friend
"What are you talking about?" she asked not liking this at all
"I don't have time to explain, you gotta get out of there RIGHT NOW!" he yelled emphasising the direness of whatever he knew was coming, he'd been heading to her neighbourhood when he'd seen it.
She trusted Brad, the S.T.A.R.S pilot true had left them at the Spencer Mansion where Jill was witness to unimaginable horrors,
But he came back for them 'or at least those that remained alive' -no! She had to trust him her gut didn't lie about that.
"Alright, let me just grab my-" Jill didn't get to finish her sentence as something heavy suddenly crashed through the wall into her apartment knocking Jill to the floor,
Jill quickly rose to her feet as a large intimidating figure approached her.
The figure was covered completely head to toe in some form of black leathery material, but what terrified her the most was it's size, it was giant- over 7ft tall and far too large to be human.
She reached for her pistol that had fallen on the floor as the 'creature' strode up to her with anger and purpose.
Her attackers oversized boot kicked her in the stomach the second she felt her pistol her back painfully collided with the Umbrella Conspiracy wall behind her.
Jill let out a yell of pain, but quickly regained her composure-
Jill doesn't hesitate to shoot at the large figure that towered over her, but her bullets did nothing to the fully armoured creature.
It reached down lifting her body off the floor as Jill emptied her pistol into the creature her bullets tore into the material concealing the creatures features, this seemed to only irritate it further as it slammed her straight down to the floor.
Jill quickly dodges the large boot that attempted to squish her skull only to have to immediately dodge a large fist,
The creatures fist impacted the wall next to her with a loud bang, this didn't feel like some random attack- this creature was here for her, to kill her.
She knew that she couldn't fight it, she had to run,
Jill held her injured side as she made a quick escape for the front door not daring to look behind her as she slammed the front door shut, but she knew that the creature was pursuing her.
The impact of the creatures fist on the now closed door let her know that she had no time to stop! She had to keep running.
Jill raced down the corridor of her apartment complex hoping that the occupants had the common sense to flee.
"What the hell is that thing!?" Jill breathlessly exclaimed as she kept moving,
A loud noise alerted her that the creature had broken down her door, in an instant Jill quickly ducks to the ground as her broken front door is thrown like a missile down the corridor,
She looked behind her- the large monster seemed even more intimidating as its figure filled up the entire height of the hallway.
Jill quickly darts into a neighbour's apartment the door was unlocked and the apartment was empty,
She quickly barricaded the door with a heavy bookcase, not that she doubted for one second that it would be enough to stop her pursuer.
Jill raced over to an open window as the creature in the hall emits a loud terrifying roar
"What the hell!" she exclaimed as she climbed out onto the fire escape only to find that all hell had broken loose in the outside world.
Fire engulfed building, a loud explosion in her apartment building sent glass flying everywhere, sirens, alarms and screams drifted through every square inch of the street.
A citizen jumped out of the window in an attempt to escape the explosion and were now clinging onto the fire escape railing
"Oh god, please help!" the reckless stranger yelled into the night, but Jill was transfixed by the chaos around her.
"NO way!" she exclaimed as her nightmares quickly seeped into reality.
Not being able to reach the street via this fire escape she climbs back into the building into- an apartment that looked like it was being renovated- she began to run for the hallway when heat struck her.
The entire building was on fire, however before she can decide on her next move the ceiling above caves in.
The creature pursing her landed on the floor with an almost deadly grace sending Jill flying backwards as rubble from above collapsed around her,
She quickly dodges the flying punch coming her way, the creature emitted another loud terrifying roar.
Jill saw an opening in the fallen debris and quickly crawled towards it, but as she glanced back up at her giant stalker a tentacle formed out of its arm confirming Jill's suspicion that it wasn't human- a new type of Tyrant maybe?
Jill picked up the pace in crawling for the small opening as the monster's long tentacle grabbed her foot, her body flooded with adrenaline as the disgusting inhuman limb attempted to pull her back.
Jill spotted a large sharp piece of metal that must have fallen with the rest of the debris,
She grabs it as a weapon and started slashing at the tentacle forcing it to let her go, she didn't pause to assess the damage she had inflicted she had to keep running, her lungs burned as the world around her seemed to be on fire.
She spotted a fire escape door at the end of the hallway,
The flames seemed to reach out from both sides to grab her, an explosion from one of the gas pipes bursting sends her body flying forward and out of the fire escape.
Jill felt sick- her whole body was in pain, every muscle in her begged her to stop, to rest, but Jill knew better than to give in to her aching bodies demands.
She climbed down the metal fire escape where the ladder down to the street level was now within her sight, within reaching distance.
"Ok" Jill mumbled to herself, but her hopes of safety were completely dashed when her persistent attacker crashes through the stone wall grabbing her head in one of its giant hands,
Jill is quickly thrown back into the inferno that was once her apartment building.
She was stunned at the relentlessness of her attacker and afraid- above all she was afraid.
Jill shuffled backwards as the dark intimidating creature strode up to her with a clear and fixed objective,
In the blink of an eye the creatures fist descends upon her- but Jill is quick enough to dodge the impact, but isn't prepared as the floor below her and her attacker falls through under the strength of the monsters impact.
The both of them fall to the ground which hurt Jill a lot more than it seemed to affect her attacker.
Jill gets to her feet with a cry of pain as her large attacker grabbed a piece of overhanging ceiling ripping the structure apart,
Jill began to run the trembling building dictated that the ceiling wouldn't last much longer, this creature seemed intend on crushing her like a bug.
Despite her injuries she willed herself towards the ground floor fire escape as the creature behind her emitted a roar that chilled her to her core
"STARS!" it screamed causing Jill to find the strength she needed to run faster the fire threatened to engulf her, but she quickly dived out of the fire escape and out onto the street backing away from the door that was now sealed with a giant heap of concrete preventing her attacker from following her any further.

LOCATION: The streets of Raccoon City
Shakily Jill raised to her feet in the ally using the brick wall for support as she walked towards the main road
"What the fuck?" Jill mumbled to herself lost for words as to what just occurred, she only had one objective now and that was to get out of Raccoon City.
She watched as panicked people ran past her on the street, she immediately saw the bright yellow gilet of someone she recognised.
"Jill! Over here!" Yelled Brad Vickers over the noise of the carnage around them
"Brad!" Jill yelled in relief at the appearance of a friendly face
"You ok?" he asked her as she exited the ally in to the main street, truthfully she wasn't ok, but she wasn't sure she wanted him to know that-
"What was that thing?" she asked him breathlessly- her aching lungs were grateful for the moments rest
"Damned if I know, but right now its got a hard-on for the only two S.T.A.R.S left in town, you and me".
Nothing made sense to Jill anymore the only thing that mattered now was finding somewhere safe.
However, both Jill Valentine and Brad Vickers were unaware of the shadowy Avenger that watched them from one of the above roof tops.
The figure in the darkness moved with a deadly elegant grace as she walked along the edges of the roof following the pair in the street below,
"What the actual fuck?" the Russian ex-assassin known as the Black Widow whispered to herself as she watched literal hell unfold on the city around her.
