A very short oneshot taking place during the after credit scene of Captain America: Civil War. Contains spoilers for the movie so don't read unless you've seen it.

This is a short fic that is a follow up to The Ones Left Behind. I don't think there's anything spoilery in it from Civil War, but consider this your warning. This fic takes place after Winter Soldier and before Civil War. (Cross-posted on my AO3 account) Bucky is starting to remember the lives he lived before and during his time as the Winter Soldier.

She always had his back, had always stood by his side. That is until she didn't and he needed to know why.

The last thing that Sgt James Barnes remembers is falling off of a train to his inevitable death. He wakes up strapped to a table, surrounded by dead scientists. He has long hair, a metal arm, and no clue where he is. It's going to take a lot of skill and luck to, hopefully, make it back to Allied forces. Preferably before the Soviet redhead and her team manage to catch him.

Steve's soulmate's words form a sentence. That, in itself, is a bad sign, Sarah Rogers knows all too well.

Only very few times is Natasha willing to yield –– something Peggy is especially attentive to. [Natasha/Peggy]

Steve's afraid of spiders. Luckily, Peggy and Bucky know how to take care of it.

"How is this possible?" Essie gasped, her crystalline eyes staring down the menacing, unmasked Winter Soldier, as she steaded her two guns. Her mind drifted to a young soldier in the year 1943, a man she loved. She discovered he died when she returned to the year 2015. Tears sprung to her eyes as she spoke,"Bucky, you're alive... Steve knows he needs to mourn Peggy and move on, which would be easier if she'd stop hanging around.

Out of all the people she could choose to get involved with and all the things she could choose to take up in her life, Lydia chooses the Winter Soldier and becoming very improvisational about how exactly she could serve her oath to protect the greater good. (Begins before TWS.)

I think he spoke to you in English. I think she spoke to you in Russian. I think they punished all three of us, in different ways. The Winter Soldier returns to an old safe house and finds a notebook with a message inside. From himself - and the Soldier from the past is there to confuse him.

Basically my take on what the mid-credits scene in Civil War should have been. [Characters: Steve Rodgers/Captain America, Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, T’Challa/Black Panther. Pairings: Stucky]

Peggy Carter is a sensible woman, one who just happens to know about a not so sensible world that exists without our knowledge. When a captured werewolf needs her help, Peggy is more than ready to step up to the plate, but is she ready to lose her heart? Prequel to By the Light of the Moon.

Natasha kisses him, and he really doesn't know what to think about it. Problem is, he can't stop thinking about it.

SHIELD has been compromised by Hydra. STRIKE agent, Nina Swan is sent a mysterious serum that was designed and experimented on another 70 years ago. A ghost story, the man with a metal arm & a whispered name: The Winter Soldier. CIVIL WAR SPOILERS. Never had he been so relieved to hear her voice. He couldn't even turn around out of relief, his whole body frozen in joy and surprise.

[Minor Civil War Spoilers] 'You'll never lose me, Nat. I swear.' Maybe Captain America is too loyal, which makes him damaged. But his undying loyalty is all he has left.

The others in the tower are up to something and Steve doesn't like it. At all. Or the story of the time Captain America got really pissed. Stucky, just so we are clear.
