Hey guys, I've edited this chapter in hopes of making it better and more enjoyable to read. It might still not be perfect, so please bear with me as this is my first time writing a story.
Hikaru Uzumaki is one of the Class 1A students who came through a recommendation. Officially, he has two quirks: teleportation and simple body enhancement. However, the truth is that he doesn't actually have a quirk—he comes from Konoha, a village in another dimension.
During a peaceful time after Naruto became Hokage, the Uzumaki clan had grown significantly. Technology had advanced rapidly in Konoha, so when Hikaru accidentally transported himself to Japan, he didn't find the technological differences too overwhelming.
This all happened because of a failed attempt to learn the Hiraishin ninjutsu. At the time, Hikaru had just entered the ninja academy and was only learning basic chakra control, allowing him to use chakra for simple body enhancement. He hadn't yet learned any other jutsus before he ended up in Japan.
He learned the Hiraishin jutsu from an old scroll stored in Konoha's ancient library. As an Uzumaki descendant, Hikaru naturally had a larger chakra reserve than most. His reserves were even slightly larger than other members of his clan.
Due to his substantial chakra reserves, Hikaru managed to learn the Hiraishin jutsu. However, because it was his first time using it, he forgot the crucial step of creating tags to determine where he would teleport. The absence of these tags caused his Hiraishin to malfunction, stranding him in a different dimension—in Japan, where people had abilities known as quirks.
When he first arrived, people thought Hikaru had a teleportation quirk. Being young and alone, he was placed in an orphanage. Over time, he continued to refine his Hiraishin jutsu, becoming more skilled with its use.
As he grew older, Hikaru's quirk record was updated. Initially, it only listed teleportation, but it was later amended to include simple body enhancement since Hikaru could strengthen parts of his body for short periods using chakra control. This led people to see him as a prodigy, as it was rare for someone to possess two quirks naturally. Because of this, Hikaru was recommended to UA without needing to take the entrance exam.
On the first day of All Might's teaching in Class 1A, he immediately organized a combat exam. Hikaru was paired with Shoji, who had the quirk to duplicate his own body organs and possessed six arms. Their opponents were Bakugo and Iida. Hikaru and Shoji were assigned the role of villains, tasked with guarding a bomb, while the hero team had to retrieve and deactivate it. The battle would last about 15 minutes, and if the hero team failed to capture the villains or deactivate the bomb within that time, the villains would win.
After waiting for their turn, it was finally time for Hikaru and Shoji to face Bakugo and Iida. They had five minutes to prepare, during which Hikaru and Shoji strategized and set traps.
As soon as the match started, Bakugo and Iida wasted no time and charged into the building.
"We need a strategy," Iida said, trying to keep up with Bakugo's pace. "We can't just rush in blindly."
Bakugo scoffed, his eyes ablaze with determination. "Strategy? That's for losers. I'll blow them away before they even know what hit them!"
After searching the first floor and finding nothing, they moved to the second floor. Shoji, using his quirk, monitored their activities and kept Hikaru informed. Hikaru waited for them on the second floor.
When Bakugo saw Hikaru, he attacked immediately. Iida took this opportunity to speed past Hikaru to locate the bomb. Hikaru allowed Iida to pass and threw a small ball towards Bakugo. Bakugo dodged it, and when he turned back, Hikaru had vanished. Instinctively, Bakugo blasted an explosion behind him, correctly predicting Hikaru's position which is behind Bakugo catching the ball he threw earlier. Bakugo's explosion seems to hit Hikaru, but after the explosion subsides, Hikaru was nowhere to be seen, frustrating Bakugo.
Hikaru teleported back to Shoji, who was guarding the bomb.
"Where's Iida now?" Hikaru asked.
"Fourth floor," Shoji replied.
Hikaru immediately teleported to the fourth floor to intercept Iida, who was rushing forward with his engine-powered legs. Hikaru, having prepared tags on each floor, appeared suddenly before Iida. Iida attempted to kick Hikaru, who tried to catch his leg but was thrown back due to Iida's speed. Hikaru quickly teleported back to the bomb room, minimizing the impact of Iida's attack thanks to his body enhancement.
In the observation room, All Might and the other students watched the fight through several CCTV cameras. They were puzzled when Iida disappeared from the cameras shortly after his attack on Hikaru.
"Where did he go?" one student wondered aloud.
"Maybe Hikaru teleported him somewhere else," Momo suggested.
All Might checked all the CCTV cameras and found Iida in a building 5 kilometers away from the test site. Meanwhile, Iida, unaware that he had been teleported, continued searching for the bomb in the wrong building.
Realizing Iida was lost, Hikaru returned to Shoji.
"Bakugo's on the third floor, heading up," Shoji informed him.
Hikaru teleported to the fourth floor and waited. When Bakugo arrived and saw Hikaru, he attacked again, but Hikaru disappeared and reappeared behind him. Bakugo, confused, didn't know that Hikaru had marked him during their first encounter, allowing Hikaru to teleport to him at will.
Bakugo sensed something behind him and instinctively unleashed an explosion. The blast cracked the walls, but Hikaru had already vanished.
"Damn it, where did you go?" Bakugo growled in frustration. Clenching his fists, he sprinted through the building, determined to track down Hikaru and finish the fight.
In the observation room, the students were again confused when Bakugo and Hikaru disappeared from the CCTV.
"Where did they go?" a student asked.
"Probably another building," someone suggested.
All Might spotted Bakugo in a building with a similar layout, five kilometers away from the test site.
"He transported him to an identical building," Momo observed, analyzing Hikaru's strategy. "Hikaru planned every detail to confuse them, even down to teleporting Bakugo and Iida to buildings with the same layout."
Bakugo and Iida continued searching every room in the building. When they finally met up and confirmed they had scoured every floor and room, Bakugo growled in frustration.
"This doesn't make any sense," Bakugo said, clenching his fists. "We've checked everywhere."
Iida's eyes widened as realization dawned on him. "We've been teleported to a different building! Our search has been pointless."
Bakugo's eyes narrowed. "Damn it, we've been tricked."
Understanding this, they immediately exited the building and rushed to find the one where the actual exam and bomb were located. After identifying the correct location, they sprinted towards it. Iida, running at full speed, arrived first. However, just as Iida entered the building, All Might's voice echoed through the intercom.
"Time's up! The victory goes to Hikaru and Shoji of the villain team!"
Bakugo and Iida stopped in their tracks, frustration evident on their faces. They had lost, outsmarted by Hikaru's strategy and careful planning.
"Did you see that?" Kaminari exclaimed. "He totally outsmarted them!"
"Yeah," Momo agreed, nodding thoughtfully. "Every move was carefully calculated. They didn't stand a chance."
"Impressive," Todoroki murmured. "He really knows how to use his abilities to their fullest."
All Might smiled, addressing the class. "Hikaru and Shoji demonstrated excellent teamwork and strategy today. This is a valuable lesson for all of you. Well done!"
As the match concluded, All Might gathered Class 1A to discuss the results and give feedback. Hikaru and Shoji stood next to each other, both looking slightly tired but pleased with their performance.
"Well done, everyone," All Might began, his voice booming with enthusiasm. "Today's combat exercise was designed to test your strategic thinking and teamwork under pressure. Hikaru and Shoji, your performance was exceptional."
Bakugo, still visibly frustrated, interrupted, "How did he keep disappearing like that? It's like he knew exactly where I was gonna be!"
All Might smiled, "Hikaru's teleportation quirk is indeed impressive, Bakugo. But it's more than just the quirk itself; it's how he used it. He anticipated your moves and set up his tags in advance, allowing him to teleport at will."
Iida, looking a bit embarrassed, spoke up, "Hikaru, you transported me without me even realizing it. How did you manage that?"
Hikaru scratched the back of his head, trying to downplay his cleverness. "It's all about preparation and practice. I set up teleportation tags in advance and used them to move you to another building. It was important to make sure you didn't realize what happened so you would continue searching, giving us more time to guard the bomb."
Momo, always analytical, added, "It was a brilliant strategy. By teleporting you both to identical buildings, he ensured you wouldn't immediately notice the difference and continue wasting time looking for the bomb."
Shoji nodded, "Hikaru and I discussed our plan thoroughly. His ability to teleport was key, but we also made sure to communicate and keep track of your movements."
All Might clapped his hands, drawing everyone's attention back. "That's exactly right. Communication and strategic planning are just as important as raw power in hero work. Hikaru and Shoji demonstrated excellent coordination, and that's why they won this exercise."
Bakugo crossed his arms, grumbling, "Next time, I'll blast you before you can teleport."
Hikaru smiled politely, "I'll look forward to it, Bakugo."
All Might continued, "Now, each of you should reflect on today's exercise. Think about what you did well and where you can improve. This is all part of your journey to becoming pro heroes."
As the class dispersed, Hikaru found himself approached by Momo, who looked at him with curiosity. "Hey, Hikaru. That was amazing. Your teleportation quirk is really something."
"Thanks, Yaoyorozu ," Hikaru replied. "But it's not just the quirk. It's how you use it that counts."
Momo nodded, "You're right. Every quirk has its strengths and weaknesses. It's up to us to learn how to use them to their fullest potential."
Hikaru appreciated Momo's thoughtful perspective. "Exactly. And there's always room to improve."
As Hikaru walked back to the dorms, Hikaru felt a sense of accomplishment but also a reminder of the challenges ahead. He had managed to keep his true origins a secret for now, blending his ninja skills into the world of quirks. But he knew that to truly excel at UA and in the hero world, he would need to continue honing his hiraishin jutsu to perfection and make it more versatile.
And finally, chapter one is finished. There might be a next chapter in the future, but I don't know when it will be updated. The plan for next chapter is to tell about the villain attack at USJ and how Hikaru responds to the attack.
I know my writing for this story is really crappy, so if anyone is interested in rewriting this story, it is very much allowed. You can even change the plot or add something you feel is important. Here, I am just providing a broad outline of the idea in my head.
Thank you very much.
