AN: Welcome to yet another SoKai story of mine. This one here is one of the chapters was inspired from a data greeting video on YouTube made by a YouTuber named 23jk. Oh and, if you guys don't know who 23jk is, she's a Kingdom Hearts YouTuber who makes Data Greetings of Kingdom Hearts. Hopefully you'll like this chapter. Without further ado let's hop right into it :D.
The Keyblade couple walked through the streets of Agrabah as everyone was bustling about in the market. They were going to head to the palace where Aladdin and Jasmine are.
"It's been a while I haven't been here," Sora said.
Kairi looked around. "It looks amazing."
The two walked down the market road as they looked around. People were selling foods, trinkets, carpets, and almost everything.
"The Heartless used to rampaged the town here," Sora recalled. "And Donald, Goofy and I fought them alongside Aladdin."
"That's quite an adventure," Kairi said.
Sora kept on staring the streets of Agrabah, reminiscing the days when he was with Donald and Goofy. Someday he wishes that Kairi, Riku, Naminé and him would go on an adventure someday.
"Your majesty, it's good to see you," a voice said.
"Please to see you again," another voice said.
"How are things your majesty," another one said.
Sora turned to look behind and widened his eyes to see Aladdin. Sora smiled as he turned and ran back.
"Sora?" Kairi said.
"Aladdin!" the brunette boy called out.
Kairi then followed Sora as the brunette boy kept on calling out to Aladdin.
"Aladdin!" Sora shouted again, this time, getting the prince's attention.
"Sora!" The prince then ran to the boy before hugging him. "Haven't seen you a while. You didn't change a bit!"
"I could say the same to you. Well, except for the new outfit."
Aladdin let go of Sora before turning to Kairi.
"Hello," Kairi greeted.
"Hey," Aladdin greeted back. "You're Sora's sister?"
Sora shook his head. "No. My girlfriend."
Aladdin widened his eyes. "Whoa! Really?! It's a pleasure to meet you Ms…"
The Princess of Heart giggled. "Kairi. Call me Kairi. You don't have to call me Ms."
"So, what brings you and your girlfriend here Sora?"
"Oh, you know, just travelling around and spending time with my girl."
"Ayyy, nice."
"How's Jasmine doing?" Sora asked.
"She's doing well."
"What about Genie? Is Genie around?"
"He's taking a small vacation. Oh, by the way, want to come to the palace?"
"Uhm, Sora?" Kairi spoke up, wondering where the palace is but was ignored.
"Sure!" Sora replied happily. "Can't wait to see Jasmine again."
The three walked down the road. It took them minutes, but they finally arrived at the palace. Kairi looked in awe at the giant palace.
"Still haven't changed," Sora said.
Kairi looked to Sora. "How big is this place? It looks huge!"
Sora chuckled. "Well, even I don't know."
The three walked inside the palace to see Jasmine waiting at the palace's entrance.
"Aladdin!" Jasmine called out.
"Jasmine!" Aladdin and Sora called out.
The two walked quickly to her with Kairi catching up.
"Sora!" Jasmine said as she hugged the brunette boy before letting go of the hug. "How's things? Haven't seen you in a while."
"Well, things came up," Sora replied.
Jasmine turned to Kairi. "Hello, you look familiar."
"Oh, I don't believe we've met," Kairi said.
Jasmine took a closer look at Kairi before widening her eyes in realization. "It's you! You're that girl that was captured alongside the others all those years ago!" Aladdin and Sora looked at Jasmine in confusion. "You remember all those years ago?" Jasmine said. "I was captured by Maleficent for the first time. At that time, the other princesses and I saw a little girl. It's her."
Kairi can only look on in surprise before she realized too. "Oh! You were one of the Princess of Hearts! I remember!"
Jasmine hugged her. "It's good to see you again."
Kairi returned the hug. "Me too your highness."
The princess then let go of her. "My name is Jasmine. I didn't catch your name."
"I'm Kairi. Please to re-meet you again your majesty."
The two girls laughed a little while Sora and Aladdin watched on, smiling.
"Come on, let's head to the palace," Aladdin said getting, their attention.
The group walked to the palace while Sora looked around the palace happily, seemingly left Kairi with Aladdin and Jasmine.
"He never change, does he?" Aladdin said.
"Never," Kairi replied. Though she can't help but feel a slightly tinge of sadness having Sora left her. She shook off the feeling. Sora is just happy that's all. 'Come on Kairi. Can't Sora have a bit of fun?'
"Oh, I better show you and Sora to our rooms," Aladdin remembered. "Sora!"
The brunette boy looked behind him. "Yeah?"
"I'm gonna send you two to your room."
"Sure!"
Aladdin turned to Jasmine. "You better start planning the party tonight. I'll take them to their room."
"Sure, don't take too long now honey~."
The crowned prince chuckled. "I won't."
Jasmine gave a kiss on his lips before giving him a wink before walking away. Kairi smiled at the two.
"Alright, time to send the two of you to your bedrooms," the crowned prince said.
Minutes later Aladdin brought them to the guest's bedroom where there are two separate beds as Sora and Kairi settled in. Aladdin also told them not to forget to join tonight's party. The two laid on their separate bed but not before taking off their shoes. The two stared at the ceiling with Sora laying on the right bed while Kairi laid on the left. They stared silently at the ceiling for a few minutes before Kairi spoke.
"Sora?" She looked to her left to see her boyfriend already fast asleep. "Tired already huh. Rest well Sora."
Kairi opened her eyes. That was a good rest. She looked at the large window. The sun is almost setting. She should get up.
"Sora," Kairi called to her lover as she turned to her right to see him. She widened her eyes. He wasn't there!
She quickly got up as she looked around. He…he isn't…he isn't here! He must've gone out without her. Kairi quickly got down from the bed and put on her shoes. She went out of the room to search for Sora. She walked down the hallways frantically looking left and right.
'Where is he?!' Kairi thought. Sora has to be somewhere. She kept on walking down the hallway, looking around before accidentally bumped into someone. "Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to."
"It's ok," the voice said.
Kairi looked up to see who the voice was. "Jasmine?"
"Kairi? Hi," Jasmine greeted her with a smile. "Where's Sora?"
"I don't know, I have to find him."
"And you will Kairi," Jasmine assured her fellow Princess of Hearts, as she put a hand on her. "Let's go find him."
Kairi nodded.
"Let's head to the main ballroom. He might be there."
"Right."
The two headed to the main ballroom as people attending the party started to appear. Soon enough, people entering the palace began to increase. Thankfully, it wasn't too crowded. Finally, both the Princesses of Heart made it the main ballroom. The two looked around.
"He has to be here somewhere…" Kairi trailed off. Suddenly, she caught a familiar glimpse of a spiky brown hair on the other side. It's him! "There he is!"
"Come on," Jasmine said.
"Sora!" Kairi called out. "Sora!"
They finally worked their way through the crowd as they saw him talking to a…monkey?
"Thanks Jasmine," Kairi said. "I'll take it from here."
"You're welcome. Good luck. I have to manage things around here. If you ever need me, call me, ok?"
Kairi nodded. "I will. Thank you again Jasmine."
Jasmine winked at her. "Don't mention it. See you around sister."
"See you."
Kairi looked back at Sora to see him walking away. She followed him.
"Sora!" she called out. "Sora!" But the brunette doesn't listen. He kept talking to the monkey while she kept on following him. "Sora! Sora! SORA!" She touched Sora by the shoulders. Maybe this'll grab his attention. "Sora!"
"Sorry Kairi, not now."
"But-" Sora walked away from her before she can say another word. She stood there a bit dumbfounded. She sighed. Maybe she'll wait a bit. It can't be that bad right?
Hours passed and Kairi is STILL waiting for Sora. The sky is beginning to darken a bit.
"Sora…where are you?"
"Kairi? What're you doing here?" she heard a voice asked.
She looked to her left to see Jasmine and Aladdin walking towards her.
"Why're you all alone?" Aladdin. "And where's Sora?"
"He's off playing with a monkey," Kairi replied.
"Abu? I see. I'll go get them."
"No, it's fine. I'll just walk around the palace."
"I'll go with you," Jasmine said before turning to Aladdin. "Can you take care of things around here honey?"
"Sure, you go on ahead Jas."
"Come on Kairi."
Kairi nodded as they walked away from the main ballroom. The two walked silently along the hallways of the palace as Jasmine looked to Kairi. Her saddened expression tells it all. The princess of Agrabah looked at her in sympathy.
"You want to tell me what happened?" Jasmine asked.
"Well…I found Sora. He was playing and talking to a monkey."
"Ah, Abu."
"I went and get Sora's attention, calling his name more than once but…he kept playing with the monkey. I tried and get his attention again but he walked away."
"Oh no…"
Kairi sighed. "Well, maybe I should just give him space. He's probably happy that's all."
"Hmm, but if this goes on Kairi. We can't ignore something like this any longer. He's your lover after all. He should also be with you at all times."
"Yeah. It's ok Jasmine. Things will get better by tomorrow."
"Hmm, I hope so too."
The two strolled around the palace as they happily chatted away with each other. Jasmine even introduced her foods in the party. Kairi felt better. Maybe tomorrow's gonna be better.
Kairi sighed as she followed Sora all around the palace of Agrabah here and there as Sora admired everything around him. She was STILL being ignored. It didn't make things better too as she had a nightmare yesterday night of Sora leaving and ignoring her while Larxene, Marluxia dragged her down so she won't be able to reach Sora…she shook her head. She doesn't want to think about that.
"Hey…Sora?" Kairi attempted to get his attention again, but as usual, she was ignored. She gave another sigh. "Ok then, have fun…"
She then walked away from him as Sora kept on admiring everything around him. She slowly strolled about in the palace before finally reaching to a garden balcony. It was a quite big garden. She stood there at the balcony as she took in the breeze blowing against her.
"Hey Kairi," Jasmine greeted.
She turned around to see Jasmine.
"How'd you know I was here?"
"We saw everything," Jasmine replied. "I had Aladdin talk with Sora."
"I see…"
"I'm sorry this happened to you," Jasmine said as she wrapped her arms around Kairi, bringing her to comfort. They stayed there silently for a brief moment.
"Jasmine?" Kairi spoke.
"Yeah?"
"Is it ok if I can…be left alone for a while?"
Jasmine unwrapped her arms around her. "It's fine. Take all the time you need Kairi."
"Thank you again Jasmine."
Jasmine gave a sympathetic look as she placed a hand on her shoulder. "Don't mention it."
The princess of Agrabah walked away from the garden balcony, leaving Kairi to herself.
"Sora…" was all that she said as she looked up at the sky with a sad expression. She closed her eyes as she lost herself to the feeling of the fresh breeze. The wind was relaxing her mind a bit. Though she can't help but feel a little sadness. Suddenly she heard footsteps behind her. "Jasmine, Aladdin, I'm sorry, I just need-"
She widened her eyes to see a familiar spiky brunette boy standing at the entrance.
Sora walked down the path, still mesmerized on everything around him. Suddenly, he saw Aladdin standing in front of him. He was about to greet him but saw the look on Aladdin's face. He…isn't looking happy for some reason.
"Hey Al. Anything going on?" Sora greeted. Aladdin kept silent. "You, ok?"
"Where's Kairi?" was all he asked.
"Kairi? Oh yeah," Sora suddenly remembered. "Where is she?!"
"She's in the garden balcony. I'll take you to her."
"But, what about you? Are you ok?"
"Let's go Sora."
"But-"
"Let's go!" Aladdin said, his voice sterner.
Sora was taken aback but complied.
The two walked down the hallways together. Sora tried to start a conversation, asking him again if he was alright, but Aladdin remained silent. Finally, they arrived at the entrance of the garden balcony.
"She's in there."
"What's going on-"
"Get in there, NOW," Aladdin sternly said to him, not taking no for an answer.
"Uhm…ok."
Sora went to the entrance of the garden while Aladdin walked away.
'He HAS to figure this out himself one way or another,' Aladdin thought.
"Kairi?" Sora spoke up causing her to look away.
"I…leave me alone Sora. I don't want to see anyone else right now…"
"Uhm, are you sure?" Sora asked before suddenly feeling a little cheeky. "Not even me my princess?"
Kairi sighed. "Please Sora, not now. Just…can you…just go away please"
"Kairi…" Sora said before he moved to stand beside her. "I'm not going away until you tell me what's going on first. Come on, tell me what's wrong. Hey, I promise I won't leave by your side no matter what. I'll always help you when you needed it most. Come on, I'm all ears."
Kairi gave mental sharp sigh. Yeah right, staying by her side. He had been ignoring her for almost two days for crying out loud! She kept silent, not wanting to reply to Sora.
Sora sighed sadly, looks like he can't get her to talk. "Fine…I…you know what…forget it, Kairi. I didn't mean to bother you. I'll just…I'll go. You probably don't need me around you any longer. It's ok Kairi. I understand."
Kairi still kept silent but a noticeable sad expression began to form.
"What am I even doing here?" Sora began talking to himself as he walked away from her. "If she wants to do things on her own, why should I even bother being here anyway?"
Finally, Kairi turned to him, but not with a concerned expression anymore, but with an angered expression. "Really now? You're being stubborn and childish Sora!"
Sora turned around and walked towards Kairi. "I just want to help you out Kairi! Why can't you see that?"
"And I don't need your help! Why don't you just…just go away for all I care!"
"Fine! If that makes you happy then I will!"
Sora stormed out of the garden balcony, leaving his girlfriend alone. Peace and quite returned but Kairi wasn't feeling any of it. Panic and regret instantly filled her. What had she…done?!
She turned her head around. "Sora!" But he was nowhere to be found! She ran out of the garden to search for Sora. Stupid, stupid, stupid! Why would she do this?!
Sora walked along the hallway feeling down and angry. "What's wrong with her?! Ugh!".
"Sora?" Jasmine's voice called. He looked behind him to see Jasmine and Aladdin both carrying important documents. "Hey."
"You look upset. What's wrong?"
Sora sighed. "It's Kairi. I don't know why she's so mad!"
"You don't know do you?" Aladdin said.
"Of course, I don't know!"
Jasmine sighed. "Sora, you've been ignoring her for almost two days."
"…what?"
"You've been ignoring her for the past two days. Kairi told me you were playing with Abu while Kairi tried to get your attention. Today? Me and Aladdin saw everything. You're always so mesmerized with everything around you that you almost forgot about Kairi! She's trying to call you but you ignored her! I thought this was supposed to be you and Kairi's date."
"I…did?"
"Of course, you did!" Aladdin's voice began to go higher. "Now you know why me and Kairi are unhappy with you now. Think Sora! Think!" the prince of Agrabah gripped Sora's shoulders. "Why would Kairi be upset with you for no reason?!"
Kairi kept running down the hallways. 'Where are you Sora?!'
Suddenly, multiple Heartless appeared causing her to screech to a halt. "Heartless?!" she instantly summoned her Keyblade, Destiny's Embrace.
Five of them lunged to attack but Kairi summoned a Firaga, causing them all to be pushed back by the fire and disintegrated. Three Heartless that were carrying swords began to attack. Kairi blocked all their attack elegantly as how Aqua taught her. She remembered what Aqua said, that if there's an opening, hit it and to also not stand in the middle of the enemy group unless you're a more experienced fighter. Kairi then struck all the opening the sword wielding Heartless has, as they were disintegrated.
Sora ran as fast as he could. How could he be so stupid ignoring Kairi all day?! What was wrong with him?! He suddenly heard sounds of clashing and bright light. He turned to his left to see Kairi fighting the Heartless all by herself. Sora was about to help but saw Kairi blasting a bright energy at groups of Heartless causing them to be disintegrated. The fat bandit Heartless was hit but were very weakened by the attack. He took this opportunity to attack as he summoned his Keyblade, the Kingdom Key. He lunged and cut at both the fat Heartless, causing them to disappear into thin air.
Sora and Kairi stowed their Keyblades away before looking at each other.
"Sora…"
"Kairi…"
The two ran at each other as they hugged each other tightly before letting of their hugs.
"I'm sorry," they both said causing the two to look in surprise.
"No, I'M sorry," Sora said. "I ignored you for almost two days when I should be spending time with you."
Kairi shook her head. "But I'M the one who should say sorry. I didn't mean what I said last time…I do need you Sora. I do need you with here with me, in my life…" the Princess of Heart hugged him tight. "Sora, please, don't leave…"
Sora hugged her back. "I'm here Kairi. I'm not going anywhere princess. I'm sorry for what I did."
"No, I'M sorry…"
The two continued hugging, rocking back and forth.
AN: aaaaaaaand I'll leave it there. I hope ya'll like it :D. And it's a good think this week is SoKai week too haha :D XD. Of course, if ya'll are wondering what do I mean by it, this chapter is inspired by one of her Data Greeting vids. So, one of her videos was "Jump of the Balcony" and it's a RokuKai DG (Roxas and Kairi ship). After watching it, it inspired me to make a fanfic story similar to 23jk's DG vid. And BOY oh BOY do I try my best to not make is the same EXACT as her video, ain't no want to plagiarize now XD (if there's two important things I remembered in college, it's that one, you should hear both sides of the person's story, and two, you shouldn't plagiarize). That's about it for the story guys, so please give me constructive feedbacks and constructive criticism, and don't be afraid to tell me which parts of the story I need to improve. This is Samuel Loegan saying, thanks for reading and I'll see you in the next chapter! Goodbye! And happy SoKai week! :D
