Sora walked down a dark empty road looking left and right. Where's Kairi? Where is she? He ran down the down before he finally sees Kairi. He sighed in relief.
"Kairi…there you are." But Kairi remained silent. "Kairi? What's wrong?"
"Sora…I'm sorry…"
"Sorry? For what? You mean for last time? Yeah, I forgive you. I know you don't mean what you say."
"No…I'm sorry. I can't be with you anymore…"
Sora laughed a bit. "Are you playing a prank on me Kai?" He looked at Kairi and she…was serious…
"I already found someone else."
"Found someone else…? W-what do you mean?"
"I found someone else I love."
Sora looked in horror as he felt his stomach drop. "But…wh-what about our promise? We shared the-"
"It doesn't matter Sora…" She walked towards Sora. "Do you love me Sora?"
"Yes, of course!"
"Then you have to let me go."
Sora's tears started to fall. "But…"
Kairi cupped Sora's cheeks. "You have to let me go…"
Sora cried. "But…I…"
"There's no other way…" another voice said.
He looked behind him before widening his to see his. "Mom?! What're you doing here? Aren't you back at the island?"
"That doesn't matter now. What matter is that you have to let go of her."
"But the promise I made…"
"I know…you made a promise to Kairi, but you have to let her go. If you love someone, you have to let them go Sora…but I'm so sorry it comes to this."
Sora sank to the ground. Why did it come to this? Is it because of her ignoring Kairi back on Agrabah?! Is it because he spent too much time with Donald and Goofy?! Why…WHY DIDN'T HE SPEND MORE TIME WITH HER?! But if he loves her…then he has to let her go…there's no other choice. It's his fault for not always being there for Kairi…
He looked back to Kairi to see she was gone. He looked around frantically. She was here just seconds ago! Sora looked behind him to see his mom is gone. What's…what's going on?!
"You were always an oblivious idiot," a voice said. A voice Sora knows ALL to well.
Sora looked back at him again and widened his eyes in shock. "Riku?"
Riku said nothing but grabbed Sora's neck, causing the brunette to struggle. "It's your fault it has come to this. Kairi left you because YOU aren't there for her. DO YOU EVEN CARE?! ALWAYS HANGING OUT WITH DONALD AND GOOFY AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN THINK ABOUT SPENDING TIME WITH KAIRI?!"
Sora tried to struggle but it was no use. "Riku, I…" He tried to speak but felt his vision fading. Then everything went black.
Sora gasped as he awoke from his sleep before looking around frantically. He was…back on the Gummiship, sitting on the cockpit chair. Was it…all a dream?! He looked back at Kairi to see her sitting beside him, still asleep. Sora sighed…that dream…why does it…Sora placed a hand on his face. Why did he have that dream? Was it a warning? Was it trying to tell him something? If it was a warning, should he...let go of her? Sora looked back at Kairi, to see she's still sleeping. Why did he feel…worried? Sad? Sora can't really tell all that well. He went back to sleep again, hopefully taking his mind off of things.
Sora and Kairi arrived at Arendelle as he parked the ship as Sora did his best to land the ship properly in a hidden place between the rocks. He accidentally scraped the ship a bit beside the rock, causing the ship to rock a bit. In the end he landed the ship safely on the lush green grounds. The Keyblade couple walked out of the ship.
"You should be more careful Sora," Kairi lightly scolded. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah…sorry…"
Kairi noticed his dismayed expression. "Sora?"
"Hm? Yeah?" Sora replied.
"Are you ok?"
"What? I'm fine as I'll ever be," Sora lied before putting up his happy-go-lucky expression. He knew he was lying. He was not ok…he kept on thinking about that dream…
"Hmm, ok then."
The two walked out of the hiding spot of the Gummiship before they got outside. Everything was lush green before. It was all snowy and cold. They saw Arendelle at a distance. It didn't take them long to arrive at Arendelle. Sora recapped everything of what happened to Kairi as they walked down. Everyone in Arendelle were minding their business about as Sora and Kairi strolled right into town. Kairi looked around happily…except for Sora. His is STILL thinking about that dream. Why can't he get it out of his head?! He tried to get it out of his head! maybe a stroll around the town can help him get it out of his mind.
"Kairi?"
She turned to see Sora. "Yeah?"
"You want to stroll around town?"
Kairi smiled. "Sure!"
The two began to stroll around, looking at different kinds of stalls. The stroll helped him…just a bit. He's still troubled.
"Sora, what do you think?" Kairi asked as she picked up a fruit but heard no reply. She looked back to him. "Sora?" She saw his lover looking down at the ground. "Sora? You, ok?" Kairi put down the fruit before shaking his shoulder. "Sora. Sora!"
"Huh? What?" Sora said, seemingly knocked out of his trance.
"Are you alright?"
"Oh, uhm, yeah. Don't worry about it."
"You sure kid?" the male vendor asked. "I can recommend you somes to eat if you're feeling down."
"Oh, no, it's fine," Sora assured him along with a signature smile. "It's nothing serious."
"Well, if you say so kid. Don't strain yourself now."
"Thank you, sir."
The male vendor nodded.
Sora and Kairi kept on walking around the market hand in hand. Kairi noticed the grip on his hand wasn't how he normally grip. His grip seems a bit…weaker…Kairi looked to see Sora while Sora kept up his usual happy-go-lucky expression.
'Maybe he's tired,' Kairi thought. Though, the Princess of Hearts has a sinking feeling deep down in her heart that something isn't right.
"So," Sora began. "Want to see Elsa, Anna and the other?"
Kairi nodded. "Sure."
The two began to walk to the castle to see them. As they were walking, Sora was in deep thought. He mentally sighed. He has to get his act together. He doesn't want Kairi, Elsa, Anna or the others to worry. He has to keep it together. He HAS to push these uneasiness and sad feeling inside of him. Finally, the two arrived at the castle where they saw Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Sven and Olaf.
"Guys!" Sora called out as he waved at them, catching their attention.
"Sora!" the group called out as they walked towards the couple as they all hugged the brunette.
"Good to have you back Sora," Kristoff said.
"Haven't seen you in a while," Anna added.
"Have you been eating well?" Elsa asked.
"Your hair seems a bit different," Olaf said.
Sven made a happy noise.
"Oh, everyone, this here is Kairi," Sora introduced to them all. "And Kairi, this is Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven."
"Hi," Kairi said as she gave a small wave.
They chatted for few minutes with Kairi asking Elsa about her ice powers, to which the ice queen demonstrated, leaving Kairi in awe. She was even more at awe as she saw Olaf, being a talking walking snowman.
"By the way Kairi, are you Sora's sister?" Olaf
"Oh no," Kairi gave a small giggle. "I'm Sora's girlfriend."
They all widened their eyes in shock before they gave a loud cheer. They hugged him while Kairi laughed. Eventually, they all released from the hug. The group introduced themselves to Kairi to which the Princess of Heart is happy to see them.
"Sora talked quite a lot about you guys," Kairi said. "They said you guys were a fun kind of group."
"Oh, did you now?" Kristoff said as he rubbed Sora's hair.
"Looks like we have guests," a new voice said.
They all turned to see a person who had a white hair and blue eyes with a casual but blue royal attire. He walked towards the
'He looks to be the same age as Riku,' Sora thought. 'Heck, he reminds me of Noctis too.'
"Jake, you're just in time to meet Sora," Anna said.
"I don't think I've met him before," Sora recalled.
"Who is he?" Kairi asked.
Elsa smiled at them both. "You'll see."
The young man walked up to the group before looking at Sora and Kairi. "Haven't seen you two before."
"I'm Sora."
"I'm Kairi."
"Call me Jake," the young man introduced himself.
Elsa and the other chuckled before looking at Sora and Kairi.
"He's not one for formalities. This is Jake Elbrus Frost, he's a young king in training."
"Really? That's cool," Sora said.
"And he's engaged to Elsa too," Kristoff said.
Sora widened his eyes in surprise. "Wait what?!"
The young man known as Jake sighed as he blushed. "Kris, could you not?"
"It's fun this way man."
"Congratulations," Sora and Kairi said.
"Thank you," Elsa replied while Jake nodded at the both of them.
"We were about to stroll around town, you want to come with guys?" Jake asked.
Kairi nodded. "Of course."
"Sure," was all Sora said.
"Oh, before we go," Anna began. "Jake, show them."
"Hmm? Show them what?"
"You know, your gift, if you know what I mean," Anna said.
"Uhm, are you sure?"
"Don't worry honey," Elsa assured. "I trust them."
Jake thought for a bit. "Well, ok then."
The young king in training stretched his hands out as ice starts to form around as he conjured literal ice from his hands. Kairi and Sora looked in surprise.
"You also have ice powers?" Sora exclaimed.
"Yup, turns out Elsa ain't the only one."
"How did you have ice powers?"
"Well, it's a mystery on how I have this. And what's crazy, my whole family have ice powers."
"Really?!" Sora and Kairi said.
"Yup."
"Come on, let's talk about it on the way."
Minutes later the group began to stroll around town. They group chatted with each other while Sora for the most part was quiet, as he looked at the group chatting while chatting when he needs to. After strolling around the town, they went back to the castle to eat their lunch. The group ate different kinds of food as they continued chatting away. Sora silently ate his food. The uneasiness and sadness still present in him. He laid back in his on his long-necked chair as he closed his eyes and crossed his arms. Sora mentally sighed as he chewed his food before swallowing it. Anger and sadness overwhelmed him as he blamed himself.
"Sora!" a voice yelled along with someone shaking him causing Sora to be knocked out of his trance.
"Huh? What?" was Sora could say as he opened his eyes.
He looked at everyone. They were all looking at him with worry.
"You ok Sora?" Jake asked.
"You don't seem to be yourself," Olaf added.
"No, of course not. I'm fine," Sora reassured. "Just gotta get myself some fresh air that's all."
"Alright. But let me show you to you and Kairi's room first," Elsa offered.
"Thanks."
Elsa and Jake led Sora and Kairi to their room while Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven were told to wait in the dining hall. As Elsa, Jake, Sora and Kairi left Olaf was the first to speak.
"You guys think something's wrong with Sora?"
"He's not his usual cheery self," Kristoff said.
"I hope he's alright," Anna added.
"It couldn't be…" Kristoff trailed off. "Nah, I don't think so."
"What? What is it?" Anna asked.
"I thought it was had something to do with him and his girlfriend."
"I don't think so..."
"Here are your rooms you two," Elsa said.
Kairi looked in awe as she looked around. "It's pretty. Thank you, Jake, Elsa."
Sora just nodded. "Yeah."
"Alright, we'll leave you two be," Jake said.
Elsa and Jake then left the room leaving Keyblade couple alone.
"Sora, are you ok?" Kairi asked with a concern tone.
"What do you mean?"
"You're not your usual self."
"Oh, don't worry, I'm probably tired that's all."
"Sora, are you sure?"
"Really. Nothing's wrong with me."
Sora then gave her a hug for extra assurance.
"Okay then Sora." Kairi returned the hug. But she had a sinking feeling something is wrong with Sora. He's not gonna pry it off of Sora and she doesn't want to force him. She'll have to tell the others about this.
"So that's why I need your help."
Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Sven, Jake and Olaf sat there listening to Kairi in the living room.
"True, he's not acting like his usual self," Anna said. "I mean, we may not know him for a long time, but he's usual cheery and happy."
"Did something happen?" Elsa asked.
"Well, we had that argument back at Agrabah, but we made up," Kairi explained.
The group pondered.
"Then we gotta help Sora," Olaf proclaimed.
"Yeah," Jake agreed. "We need a plan."
A knock was heard on the door.
"Come in," Elsa said.
The door opened to reveal Kai, the overseer.
"Apologies for the interruption. But Lord Kristoff is needed along with Olaf and Sven for the children's drama performance," the overseer explained.
"Oh yeah! I forgot! Sorry guys, we gotta head to the orphanage," Kristoff said.
"Don't worry, just go. Me, Elsa and Jake can handle things here," Anna assured.
Kristoff kissed Anna before heading out of the room. "Olaf, Sven come on!"
"See you around guys!" Olaf said before the snowman and Sven went out of the room, leaving Kairi, Anna, Elsa and Jake in the living room.
"Ok, what's the plan guys?" Anna asked.
Sora stood on their bedroom's balcony. It was quite wide and big balcony. The brunette Keyblade wielder felt gentle breeze brushed up against him as he closed his eyes. He sighed.
"Hey," Jake's voice said.
Sora turned his back to see Jake standing there. "Hey Jake."
"Enjoying the breeze Sora?"
Little did Sora know, Kairi, Anna and Elsa were hiding behind the curtains.
"Yeah."
Jake didn't say anything as he created snow around the balcony, causing Sora to be confused.
"Sora, catch."
"Huh?"
Before Sora knew it, he was hit in the face by a snowball.
"Come on, don't be a chicken!" Jake taunted.
"Well, if you say so," Sora accepted the challenge as he gave a mischievous smile.
Soon, the two threw snowball left and right.
"I so want to join in," Anna wished.
"Me too," Kairi added.
"You'll get your chance you too," Elsa assured.
Soon after, Sora and Jake finished their, they were on the ground laughing. Jake stood up as he walked to Sora. He offered a hand to the brunette to which he accepted. Jake pulled Sora up before the two chuckled at what they did.
"So, you feeling a bit better?" Jake asked.
"…so…you noticed huh," Sora said.
Jake nodded. "Sora, if it's something serious, I need to hear about it."
Sora thought about it. He mentally sighed, guess he can't hide it anymore. He wondered why he hadn't told them all sooner. This isn't like him to not tell everyone his problems. Kairi, Anna and Elsa began to listen intently.
"Well," Sora began as he leaned on the balcony's railings. "I had nightmare, where Kairi broke up with me…"
The hidden three girls widened their eyes in shock.
Jake looked in concern.
"She…told me to…to…to let her go. Our promise didn't matter. The Paopu fruit we shared…it didn't matter to her," Sora explained while small tears started to fall. "The destiny we shared with one another…she told me to forget it."
Jake looked at him in sympathy. "I'm…I'm sorry Sora."
Sora's tears started to fall. "No, it's fine…I just…it's just…of course I gotta let her go, because…because…
"Because you love her," Jake finished for Sora.
Sora nodded. "Yeah. I don't want to be possessive. Kairi is not my property. Kairi is my love. Yes, it's gonna be sad, but I have to let her go if she doesn't want to be with me anymore…"
Kairi looked in sympathy. "Sora…"
"It's my fault."
"What's your fault? You didn't do anything wrong."
"For not being there for Kairi…I'm always going out on adventures with Donald and Goofy, but never with Kairi. I OBLIVIOUSLY ignored her when we're at Agrabah coz I'm TOO mesmerized with everything around me that I forgot! How can I even call myself a good boyfriend if I'm like this?!"
Jake put a hand on Sora.
"How could I be so foolish…? Why did I always spend time with Donald and Goofy and not with her?" Sora sniffed voice already started to crack.
Kairi couldn't take it anymore. She walked out of her hiding spot and marched towards Sora. The sounds of Kairi's footsteps caught the attention of both Sora and Jake's as they looked behind them.
"K-Kairi?" Sora stuttered.
But before the brunette could utter anymore words, Kairi gave Sora a big kiss to his lips while her arms around his neck, tight. Jack, Elsa and Anna quietly sneaked out of the Sora and Kairi's room as the two continued kissing. Kairi separated from the kiss but still had her arms around him.
"Sora, look at me," she said. Sora did as she says. "You listen to me. I love you Sora, I love you to no end. I will NEVER throw away our promise. We shared the Paopu fruit together, we PROMISED to each other that we'll be together forever. Did you forget about that?"
Sora shook his head. "No…"
"I promise you, Sora. You're the only one for me. Ok?"
Sora nodded. "Yes. I shouldn't have ignored you back at Agrabah. I'm so sorry. I'll never lose you again."
"No, don't beat yourself up. I'm the one that should be sorry."
"No, I'M sorry. I promise you that I'll never stop loving you."
Sora then hugged Kairi, to which she gladly hugged back at him. The two stayed like that for a long time before they broke off from the hug. Sora then closed the window before leading Kairi to the bed. He laid her on the bed as they continued their make out session.
"Oh Sora…" Kairi moaned. "Sora…Sora…"
"Kairi…Kairi…I love you…"
"I love you even more."
Morning arrived as Elsa, Kairi, Jake, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven were at the dining table eating their breakfast.
"Anyone wants to get Sora and Kairi?" Kristoff suddenly asked.
"I'll get 'em," Jake said.
But before Jake could get up from his chair. The door opened to reveal Sora and Kairi hand in hand with Kai opening the door for them.
"I'll have them prepare the food soon," Kai told the two.
"Thank you," said the two of them while smiling.
Kai bowed his head before closing the door to the dining room.
"Morning guys!" Sora said with his usual smile.
"How's the night you two?" Anna teased.
"Uhm…good," Sora replied as his cheeks went red while he rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment.
The two sat down next to each other on the dining table as they all chatted away. Jake and Elsa gave Sora and Kairi lectures. They explained that the two of them being together all the time is great but they shouldn't spend time together too much. They gave examples that they all can do their own personal things that they like on their own at times. The Keyblade couple listen intently.
"There are times when I went to do my own things without Elsa," Jack said. "So, there's nothing wrong with that."
"But at the same time, the two of you also need to remember to spend time together," Kristoff then explained. "You two are still young, so there's a lot to learn."
Sora and Kairi nodded.
"But hey, you two will get there," Anna assured, before giving the young couple a wink.
Sora smiled. "Thanks guys."
Minutes later, the food arrived for Sora and Kairi. The group began chatting here and there happily. As Anna, Elsa and the others started to chat among themselves, Sora turned to Kairi, to which she also turned to see him as hell. The two gave each other a smile as they held each other's hands. Even if they have a lot of things to learn, last night gave them each other the absolute assurance they need. They will always love each other and the promise they made through the Paopu fruit will never be broken. This they know.
AN: and FINISHED! Ah, finally. Well, there's the third chapter, finally me done TT. So, few things I want to share. So, there's a reason as to why I made this chapter. After reading a Roxas and Kairi fanfic story where both Roxas and Kairi fell in love with each other, Sora in the story was VERY possessive of Kairi and not willing to let her go. Like, Sora is OBSESSED with her. This (actually) saddened me to see Sora this way, but seriously, I shouldn't really be sad about a fanfic story XD. But this then inspired me to make a story where Sora was confronted with a scenario that if Kairi doesn't want to be with him anymore, how will Sora react? Well, of course, we all know Sora, he'll let go of Kairi because he loves her but not without begrudgingly let her go. In canon, Sora loves Kairi to no end and will go to danger and back to save her. So, seeing him confronted with the fact to let go of Kairi because she wished to be with someone else pains him greatly.
But of course, that's never gonna happen. Kairi will always love Sora and will never break his promise with him. The two shared the Paopu fruits together (not only in my story but it's also in canon) and their promise are now unbreakable, they will remain in each other's lives forever. Their love for each other will never die, like that anime Romeo X Juliet (yes, there's an anime of Romeo and Juliet, check it out ;D), both Romeo and Juliet promised their love for each other and their promise will never be broken. Anyways guys, that's about it. Please give me constructive feedbacks and constructive criticism, and don't be afraid to tell me which parts of the story I need to improve. This is Samuel Loegan saying, thanks for reading and I'll see you in the next chapter! Goodbye! And happy (belated) SoKai week! :D
