A Spector was given a very important task that will effect thr futre of all the realms. An unforeseen event sees her out of her own world as she tries to pick up the pieces and keep her word.

1. Chapter 1: The Assignment

Chapter 1: The Assignment

(Eclipse's POV)

Eclipse walked quickly as she thought about the role she was given. This would have dire consequences for the End as a whole, but it had to be done. She could see the Vanguards performing final checks on their equipment. This would likely be their final battle. Winning was not possible. She looked to the uncountable number of portals before walking into the war room.

"How can we possibly hold the Voidwalkers? We are drastically outnumbered, and our troops have been in peace for almost a millennia. Captain Drayden said as he looked around the room. "We aren't met too. We can not and were not meant to. We were never made to stop an army as large as the Voidwalkers. We were meant to keep the portals out of the wrong hands, so we will." Commander Nyx said as she hit her hand off the table for emphasis. "That is why we must disrupt the portals connection. Our goal is to just bide time. Even if that means sacrificing everything." Nyx said as she looked towards Eclipse.

"Are you ready to partake in your task, Eclipse?" Nyx asked as the rest of the room looked towards her. "Yes, ma'am. Are you certain this is the only path ahead?" Eclipse asked as Nyx looked down, closing her eyes in thought. "I am certain. This is the only way to ensure the Void Lord can not conquer the other realms. The end is already finished. He's already attained three end crystals. We may not be able to change our fate, but we can protect the other realms from suffering the same." Nyx said after a moment, and she turned away. She then summoned an ender chest and opened it.

A bright purple glow emitted from it as Nyx reached her hands in. The glow dissipated as she pulled out what appeared to be a pole. It was about the length of Nyx's arm. She then walked towards Eclipse. "You are in control of the future, Eclipse. Ensure our sacrifice is not in vain." Nyx said as she held out the key. "I won't let you down." Eclipes said strongly as she took hold of the key. It was heavier than it looked. Eclipse looked at it before she gave one final bow to her Commander before quickly heading outside and opening a portal to start her journey. "Come. We have work to do." Nyx said as she grabbed her two-handed mace and left the war room.
