This is where I'm really grateful I decided to make the story Dancing in the Stars as now I've set up these two characters who are gonna be pretty important in this arc.
Just then, at the very same time, a human woman who had been sleeping sounding in the arms of a T. Rex-Man suddenly woke up as her her dream suddenly shifted to visions of doom!
"Ashes!" The Woman cried "All is ashes!"
Of course this screaming awoke her husband the T. Rex-Man Copernicus, a shiver went through his giant reptilian body, causing the entire giant bed to shake.
"What's is it?!" Copernicus' usual serene demeanor shook by his wife sudden outburst
The woman Miranda Devine wriggled out of his grasp and out of the bed.
"I just had a vision…" Miranda said as she went over to her computer and turned it on "Of these terrifying beasts coming down from the stars to destroy all in their path!"
Copernicus rubbed the sleep from his eyes and said "Terrifying beasts is pretty vague Mimi…" He rarely used her pet name except for certain circumstances "A lot of humans have described all Humanimals as 'terrifying beasts' even when they were rabbits...Did your vision show anything specific about them?"
"It was very strange…" Miranda said as she rubbed her temple "...One moment I'm seeing the hooked beak and feathered wings of a bird of prey, then the next moment I'm seeing the hind legs and tail of some kind of big cat, like their shapeshifters of something…"
Copernicus sucked on a claw as he thought about that, now if Miranda had said 'They had the front half of a bird and the back half of a cat' He would have been able to figure out that she was talking about Gryphons, but because of the rapidly moving images of her dreams, often making her feel like she was on a roller coaster doing loop de loops she didn't get a clear enough picture of the beasts thinking instead she was looking at multiple kinds of creatures or creatures that were shapeshifting.
She finally got onto the website she wanted, a special website detailing special 'energy readings' of different portions of space.
"Hmmm…." Miranda said, "...It seems there have been extreme bursts of magical energy around the outer edges of our solar system as of late…"
Copernicus got out of bed to look at the screen with his wife
"What do you think this means for us?" The Dinosaur-Man asked
"I don't know Copper…" Miranda sighed as she put her head in her hands "...I just don't know…"
So because I didn't point this out in Dancing in the Stars the characters are linked by name by the theme of Outer Space Copernicus is of course a famous astronomer and Miranda is the name of one's the moons of Uranus
