So our here I kind of show Leo being tempted to stay in his 'Janah' form and live with Chanchalla in Dardunah.
So the rest of the Janah watched the Terrapin and the Sheep dancing a strange dance together and listening to the strange slow music they swayed to the music and ears and tails twitched, having never seen or heard anything like it before they seemed to be hypnotized!
For Leo, even though in this strange new body, his shell felt heavier, he wasn't able to move as quickly, but being able to blend in with these Animal People and dancing with Chanchalla he began to get ideas in his head of staying in this form and settling down to live a life with Challa in Dardunah...What kind of life he wasn't really sure of, but he was imagining how good a life would be living with fellow Animal People he didn't think about how his ideas of honor might clash with the ideals of Janah…
Challa for her part was looking at Leo in his Janah form and she couldn't help but think about how much more she preferred his true form, was much more expressive like a Vajrah rather than the Sarpah of Dardunah.
As quietly as she could Challa said "Leo…"
"Hmmm?" Leo said as that was as much as he could say without revealing he couldn't speak any Janah languages even in this Janah form.
"I was just thinking…" Challa said quietly "...Your Janah form does look very good but...I can't help but think how much I miss your true form...I want to see the face of the Turtle I fell in love with…"
And that struck Leo to the heart! A tear trickled down his face...Realizing that Chanchalla wanted his true self not him trying to be a Janah…
And that tear broke the spell…
With a puff of green smoke, Leo's Janah disguise evaporated and when the smoke cleared all the other Janah gasped and some of the women even fainted! What they saw Leo was still wearing his fancy clothes but what they saw was a strange Turtle with teeth and strange three fingered hands and two toed foot! The only thing they could think was 'Demon' or 'Abomination' the Guards began to draw their weapons…
Leo feeling incredibly embarrassed, quickly picked up Chanchalla and now returned to his much more nimble body he leaped on the guards and jumped on their shoulders till they reached the balcony...While that happened the carp shaped shoes which were too big for Challa's feet fell off.
As they jumped from the balcony, Challa bleating with fright as they did so, the guards said among themselves
"Have you ever seen a Turtle move like that?!"
"He has to be a demon or abomination!"
"Don't just stand there then! We have to catch them…"
The Guards moved through the entire city, but when they reached the Outcaste encampments they began to lose heart…
Of course they never thought in their insistence on keeping themselves 'clean' never thought to check underneath the city.
The Guards don't think about the sewers, no one does except me…
