I do not own any of the Project Moon Ips, nor My Hero Academia
Amid the cacophony of noise, Aizawa was thinking, 'I really should use my vacation days. I get 10 of them a year, but I never use them. They end up going to waste since they do not carry over. Well, let's get this over.'
"Quiet, down." Aizawa stepped into class, looking at the scene before him. Bakugo was angry, Midoriya was catatonic, Mineta seemed too happy, and the girls were friendly except Uraraka, who was fuming. Eraser Head quickly connected the dots and could only mentally sigh. 'Teenagers, I need a raise.'
"Good, you're learning. It only took 3 seconds to become quiet. We have a new student, Hattori Junko. Introduce yourself."
"Hi everybody. I'm Hattori Junko; I hope we all get along." She waved.
"She will be joining our class from now on." Eraser Head noticed Iida sticking up his arm. "Yes?"
"Sir, what of class 1-B? If we have 21 students, then our class will not have an equal number of students." He pointed out.
"Class 1-B has a student joining their class as well. Hattori, please let go of Midoriya and go to your seat so we can start today's classes."
"Yes, Sir." Junko let go of Midoriya and gave him a quick salute before taking a seat at the back of the class.
"Today we're having a special hero informatics class today." He announced.
"I suck at math."
"I'm not ready for a quiz."
"Code names. You'll be coming up with hero names."
"Hurray, something cool."
He waited again for his students to settle before continuing, "This is related to the draft. Typically, the draft is reserved for 2nd and 3rd years, but they extended offers to first years this year. This means that they are interested in your potential. Often times, picks can be cut if interest disappears by the time graduation comes around."
"So that means we have to prove ourselves? That's so manly." Kirishima said with excitement.
"That's right. Here are this year's results."
Todoroki Shoto 5,780
Bakugo Katsuki 2,578
Tokoyami Fumikage 675
Iida Tenya 307
Kaminari Denki209
Yaoyorozu Momo 123
Kirishima Eijiro 89
Uraraka Ochako 34
Hanta Sero 19
Hattori Junko 6
"The offers this year are concentrated on the top."
"What? Why do they have to get all the offers?" Sero asked.
"I mean Bakugo and Todoroki, are our class 1-A's powerhouses." Mina answered.
"The better question is why Todoroki has more offer than Bakugo?" Asui said.
"Maybe it's his attitude; I mean, he had to get chained on the podium to receive his trophy." Sero laughed.
"Those pros don't know a good thing when they see one!" Bakugo stated.
A mischievous smile appeared on Junko's face as she said, "I think it was the glitter."
Bakugo turned towards the new girl and yelled out, "I'll kill you, two-face!"
"Okay." She said as her smile told everybody what she thought about his threat.
"Grr, hate, all of my hate!" Baukgo growled out before turning away.
"They're probably all because of my dad." Todoroki scoffed.
"Keeping these results in mind, whether or not anyone asked for you, you will all be participating in internships with the pros. During your internship, you see firsthand how heroes do their jobs, and you will get meaningful training in the area the hero works in." Eraser Head informed them.
"Oh, I get it now. Hero names are important because we'll be exposed to the public." Midoriya blurted out.
"Correct, please be serious in the name you choose. There can be consequences to your hero career." Eraser Head warned.
"I'll be taking over from here. Since this is not your strong suit." Midnight chimed in as she entered the classroom.
Eraser Head shrugged and said, "Have a name chosen the day before your internship begins." He yawned as he stepped out of the class.
"Okay, so wants to go first!"
"Me!" Junko shouted out.
"Well, aren't you enthusiastic? Come on up!"
"I'll be the Transformation Hero: Heroine Mimic!"
"Oohh~, that suits you quite well." Midnight approved.
"Thank you." Junko said and went back to her desk. With a smile, she pretended she was still listening in as her fellows began picking their heroes' names. Her thoughts drifted to why she was here. This was a scouting mission for HSPC. Find like-minded future heroes the HSPC could get in contact with, check in on All-Might so that I could document anything and everything about him, and do a few other things like a general report on UA and daily status reports—the last one is for Prosperity Corp which was not simple. Well, it was simple and maybe she was just over thinking it. She tried to visualize that conversation again.
"Do you understand the assignment the HSPC is giving you?" Director Garaki asked as he handed her a suitcase.
"Yes." She answered without hesitation. She saluted her superior and waited to be dismissed.
The Director smiled and began patting me on the head like I was 6 years old.
She tried to stay calm, but she couldn't hide her annoyance. He went on and said, "Good, then here is a mission from me, - . Have a good life, Junko." He smiled and let her go.
She only remembered some of what he said. It had been a week since they talked, but she still couldn't recall the mission he gave her. She felt a headache coming, so she decided to forget it. Oh well, thinking about the past was painful. But it was part of the job. Prosperity Corp's motto was, after all, Face the past, Build the future. But did having a good life count as a mission? She guessed it did, but-
"Hattori, class is over." Mina said, tapping Junko on the shoulder.
Junko snapped out of her trance and looked at Mina, the girl whom she had bonked on the head at the festival.
"Oh, it is? I was just very focused." She said, trying to act casual.
"Focused, huh." Mina chuckled.
"Yeah, let's go. We have places to be, you know?" Junko said, getting up from her seat.
Mina smiled and followed Junko out of the classroom. She was curious about the new girl who had joined Class 1-A. "So, what were you thinking about? You seemed a bit distracted after you got your hero name."
"Nothing much, just… you know, it's like a dream come true." Junko said, hiding her true feelings.
"Yeah, you were in general studies before joining the hero course, right?" Mina asked.
"Yup." Junko nodded.
"Well, I think you fit right in." Mina said, trying to be friendly.
"Thanks, Ashido." Junko said, appreciating the compliment.
"Call me Mina; we're friends now!" Mina exclaimed, hugging Junko.
"Then call me Junko!" Junko said, smiling and making peace signs. Have a good life? Well, I will do that, then.
Director Garaki entered his personal study and grabbed a badly damaged notebook. It had dried up blood on it, pages were missing and torn, and it was badly faded, but this book was the foundation of his plan.
He turned towards the first page titled Abnormalities.
Abnormalities are the products of the human psyche, shaped by fears, complexes, and desires. They are not mere monsters but a different expression of humanity, as human as we are. They are the-
And that's where it ended. It was the first and only paragraph left in that section.
"So much was lost, but we are getting somewhere now." He said to himself as he began to walk towards a bookshelf on the other side of the room. He pulled out a book, and it led to a hidden room. In that secret room was something some would classify as unusual, abnormal even.
"SPACE," a shrill cried out as a tiny machine-like ball with a single blue eye continued to watch documentaries about astronomy and space beside the monitors filled with other space theme pictures. A small laptop showed the moon landing from 100 years ago. Back when humanity strove for the stars. A few dozen pages of random scribbled notes and reports of the abnormality made.
"Space ball, a Zayin class abnormality, a machine driven by his love of space. The only dangerous thing about it is sometimes it can get annoying." Garaki Akito commented as he grabbed a new note the abnormality created.
He scanned through the first few paragraphs of the note and. "I see, interesting."
"Got to get to space! Space, love space."
"Thank you for the note." He pulled out the remote, and a new movie appeared on the screen. A small spaceship is being chased by a bigger, triangle-looking spaceship. They were exchanging laser fire till the bigger ship hit the smaller engine. The bigger ship approached the smaller one and prepared to board.
"SPAAAAAAAAAAAACCEEE!"
Garaki exited the room, and it shut itself off from the rest of his office. he heard a ring and opened his phone to see some documents Junko had sent him.
"Internships, hmm." he typed his answer and returned it to her. He turned his thoughts back towards the book. He began rereading passages that had already been read 100 times over, trying to piece together the newly gathered information and spots where the words in the diary had long since disappeared. While he did not understand everything, he knew what he sought was in the heart of an old, long-forgotten corporation from the beginning of the quirk era, Lobotomy Corporation.
"B may have to known more; no, he knew more. That was for certain. He never let anything slip about it, though." Akito grumbled as he looked toward the ceiling of his space. The data gathered from Operation Ashes was valuable, but it merely pertained to information about abnormalities, their capabilities, their behavior, and their potential. Nothing about the Seed of Light project. But he did learn one other thing from Operation Ashes. The book had a few sections dedicated to it, but only a few survived except for one thing. A vague description of where his answers led to. Combined with information from both sources, he had an idea of what it was. But not exactly where. But there was no need to waste resources scavenging the countryside of Japan when he had an asset that would be drawn to it.
With his course set, he grabbed a few other books from his shelf and continued to read till read his books till the morning came.
Author's Notes
Not much, just writing when I can. I made a bit of progress on multiple stories, but nothing is done yet.
