After a nearly-fatal experience, Dib is stuck using Zim's computer to experience the world, at least until Dib's body is fully healed. But Dib gets the feeling that Zim is hiding something from him...Written for Day 29 of Febuwhump 2024: Not allowed to die.

By a stroke of luck, Zim is given a second chance at being a great Irken, thanks to an experiment finally paying off. With a body no Irken has had in eons, Zim shall take up the mantle of Warlord to carve his name into the minds of all sentient races, as the first of a new class of Irkens. Zim brings Gir to Dib's house so he can babysit him, since Zim thinks he's been a little bit annoying lately and it's been hard to work, but he later realizes it's to quiet and lonely without him.

What if Zim could grow as a person? What if he realized that torture, maiming, and disfiguring weren't the right ways to go about conquering Earth? What if he had someone watching him? All this and more dwells within the binary. Canon consistent for a brief moment, then major departures that lead to lasting consequences. Possible eventual ZATR, maybe.
