Fourteenth Day as a Junior Assassin i go back to my loser Head Assassin and tell him everything, urging him to join with my fake Head Assassin to attack the coalition leader according to the weaknesses in the parody song. he tells me frankly that he doesn't trust me anymore. i ask him to execute me if that's really true, because i can't bear to live if i can't protect him and i can't protect my men. he agrees to attack the coalition leader before the big attack. I decided to go back to my room where I was met with Vex. And for the first time ever he opens up to me, granted, he was drunk but still. During the battle he died in my arms.
Orion made her way back to the city with new intel, she immediately arrived to the Head Assassin's office and sat down. "Head Assassin we need to talk. This entire time the other Head Assassin had me try and kill you after he admitted he never sent your rival assassin to kill you and he thought of it so I offered to. Then there's this pigeon I followed to the coalition leader who turns out to have hired the spy to kidnap your wife who turns out to be singing a poem of a thing that hides the secrets of the leader they didn't want you to learn about. And it's all good in the hood because now we can attac the right person and-" Orion began but Head Assassin places a hand up he was no longer cheerful to see Orion and had a frown on his face.
"Quite, frankly Orion. I don't think I can trust you anymore." Head Assassin said, Orion frowns at that statement feeling the sense of hurt she felt towards Android 16 and with a wavery voice said this next.
"Then why don't you execute me then? Huh? If that's true. I can't bear to live without my men and without the need to protect you…" Orion said. Now understanding what Android 16 was saying all those nights ago.
Head Assassin wordlessly gets up and grabs a pistol and loads it before shoving into her head and his hand was shaking. Before he dropped it.
"Okay. I'll do it."
Orion heads back to her quarters to see a drunk Vex. Hiccuping and turned to face her.
"If it isn't - Orion…" Vex slurs. Orion was confused. She hadn't heard Vex used her actual name at all. She was a little confused but shrugged it off.
"You're so lucky to have been chosen for those- important missions. It's not everyday some Rookie comes along - and gets the… the… jobs us Senior Assassin's get… at first my hatred for you began as a hatred for Saiyan's… then it grew into hatred for you in general. Mainly because I blamed Nameks first Planet's destruction on Saiyan's when this entire time it was because it wasn't being progressive enough - and now that enough time has passed and seeing your growth… I just want to say, I'm sorry…" Vex cries and Orion hugged him.
Now Vex is no longer an enemy. But an ally.
The day of the final battle. It was rough. Seeing nearly half you men being killed so ruthlessly. And yet, it didn't bother her. Orion was too distracted because Vex got in front of her and took a shot meant for her. Orion gasped and knelt down to Vex holding him in her arms.
"Orion, it was a pleasure fighting alongside you for a change and not with you for once." Vex said. "Go on, fight for me. For Head Assassin. I'll be there watching you from above - or below. Cause Kami knows I've done such bad things in my life." Vex said, breathing before dying. Orion teared up.
Fifteenth Day as a Junior Assassin. We won. But at what costs? due to the information in the parody song, our alliance carries the day. my loser Head Assassin gets his wife back. my men tell me that our fake Head Assassin actually treated them really well and they'd like to stay with him if i don't mind. i do mind, now that neither the men i love nor the man i love have any use for me, but i don't tell them that
Orion watches as Head Assassin and his wife are reunited together. She frowns before getting a call from her group.
"Hey, Boss other Head Assassin has been treating us well and we would like to stay if you don't mind."
Orion wanted to object to it. But couldn't find the courage to but shakily respond. "Sure."
She sighs.
I do mind.
Her eyes wandered to the picture of her and her men.

Then back to a picture of Head Assassin and Android 16.
I love all of you but something tells me you don't have any use for me anymore.
Then she drifts back to the picture of Vex.
