BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!
"Attention, Delta Squad. Your work on Geonosis was exemplary and it got a lot of attention. Enough attention, you are being called upon to take part in a very special mission. One that is going to take you to a whole new galaxy." A clone commander's voice spoke through the intercom of the helmets of the gathered clone commandos. "The Milky Way Galaxy, which made its appearance over a decade ago has been a very popular topic for just about everyone. The Republic and the Separatists have had dealings with a sovereign government called the United Federation of Planets. This government has about a dozen embassies on worlds on both Republic and Separatist worlds, including Coruscant and Raxus. Just recently however, we've received intel of a secret project they were working on that has recently come to light."
A holographic recording of a man in a Starfleet uniform was then projected onto the visors of the helmets of each trooper.
"To fully understand the events in which I report, it is necessary to review the theoretical data on the Genesis device. As developed by doctors Carol and David Marcus, Genesis simply put is life from lifelessness. It was the intention to introduce the Genesis device into a pre-selected area of a lifeless space body, a moon or other dead forms."
The recording showed the 'device' impacting a moon, seemingly setting a chain reaction but instead of destroying the moon, the 'explosion' began to spread across the surface.
"The device when delivered would instantaneously cause the Genesis Effect. Instead of a dead moon, a living breathing planet now exists, capable of sustaining whatever life forms we see fit to deposit on it."
The explosion covered the entire surface, once it did mountains began to grow, lakes were formed and a breathable atmosphere with blue skies and white clouds were shown.
The recording ended, leaving the troopers stunned.
"Is it true?" One of the troopers asked. "Can they really…make planets?"
"Intel believes they can and apparently their prototype was stolen and detonated, leading to the creation of a planet named after the project." The clone advisor answered, showing an image of the planet. "And we believe the Separatists have received word of this device and are sending a strike force of their own into the Milky Way. They want to see if they can create their Genesis device which they might if they capture one of the surviving scientists."
Three images of two men and a woman were projected next into the visors.
"Doctors Carol and David Marcus and Jedda are the only survivors. Carol Marcus and Jedda's locations are unknown but we believe David Marcus is undertaking a mission to explore the Genesis planet, making him the most likely target. Your mission is to infiltrate the Milky Way, locate this planet and monitor for Separatist activity."
"How are we going to operate in a new galaxy?"
"With something that has been gifted to us by Republic Sienar Systems." The clone commander almost sounded proud with that answer before the image of a corvette was projected.
It was triangular shaped with modular hull and was about ninety-nine meters in length.
"This is a modified stealth ship with twenty-eight external cloaking devices. It was very costly to make but the Chancellor himself signed off of on it."
"A cloaking device? We're getting our own stealth ship?" One of the troopers sounded excited.
"Just for mission, Sev. The ship will be attached to hull of the Republic Assault ship that will be departing for the Milky Way Galaxy. It will be cloaked but all other essential systems except for life support will be deactivated to conserve power. Once on the other side, you will detach from the hull of the assault ship and when you're far enough away, you'll engage engines and make your way to the Genesis planet in what is labeled the Mutara Sector." The clone commander outlined the mission. "Sending navigation information to you now."
A map of the Milky Way Galaxy was projected into their helmet visors and highlighted the section called 'Mutara Sector'.
"Once you're there, monitor the planet for signs of activity and keep a close eye out for Federation ships or stations and monitor for signs of anyone who might be someone at least connected to the Genesis experiment. If the Separatists somehow make it to the planet, your orders are to guard it and any Federation citizens from being abducted." The commander stated. "This mission is incredibly top secret so it's imperative the Federation never finds out. This will take you outside our galaxy and far from Republic jurisdiction so operate extra on stealth."
"This sounds like it will be a blast." One of the troopers muttered.
"Not every mission involves guns blazing, Scorch. The reason the Chancellor is asking of this of you because you are the only team who are capable of pulling it off. After a full rotation, if there is nothing to report, you have permission to make your way back to our galaxy. Enter hyperspace and emerge in the atmosphere of the moon of the planet Saturn called Titan." The commander instructed. "The conditions of both the planet and the moon will hide you from their sensors, allowing you to re-cloak and enter the wormhole. We will have people on the assault ship monitoring when the Jedi are returning so if you have the chance, latch back onto their ship so you can conserve power for the return home."
"Any idea what to expect?" The lead trooper, Boss asked.
"Federation ships are known to have sensors more advanced than ours but we're counting on the fact that they won't be expecting a secret Republic ship with its own cloaking device visiting. It's not a full guarantee you'll be undetected so when you're on the other side, exercise caution to the best of your instincts. Communications will essentially none existent until you return so don't expect the calvary if you run into trouble."
"We never do." Scorch stated.
"Good. The dropship will take you back to Coruscant where you'll be blending in with the regular troopers until you are aboard your ship. Good luck."
The leader of the team, nicknamed Boss turned to his subordinates. "You hear him, men. We're going on a little trip into a new galaxy."

"You know, this is quite an impressive ship but don't you think it's a little too big for a stealth mission?" Harry Mudd followed Count Dooku onto the bridge of the Providence destroyer. "Usually ships are smaller for these kinds of missions."
"Unfortunately, Mr. Mudd, the surprise revelation of Genesis forced us to find the most suitable ship on short notice." Dooku replied as he sat down on the command chair, facing the bounty hunters gathered before him.
Cad Bane, the runner up for top bounty hunter after the death of Jango Fett.
Aurra Sing, a ruthless assassin and a Jedi killer he could have a use for but she was too volatile and had no interest in either the Jedi or Sith.
Young Boba Fett, who Dooku had attempted to recruit as a warrior for the Sith. Aurra Sing gave Fett to Dook, who gave Sing Slave I as payment (but Boba eventually recovered the ship). He was taken to Raxus Prime to meet with Dooku, who was then searching for the Force Harvester as part of the plan to restore the Dark Reaper. The Sith Lord attempted to detain his young charge, but a Republic attack allowed Fett to escape.
Bossk, a Trandoshin bounty hunter.
A human bounty named Dengar.
The Rodian named Greedo.
The last three held very little to their reputation but apparently young Fett had been working to put a crew together for a job. Still, they were here and their reasons only mattered to Dooku as long as they could carry out their job.
"Gentleman and Miss Sing, we are about to undertake a mission unlike any before. A mission into an entirely new galaxy. Succeed and you will be paid enough that you will likely be able to retire after this job." Dooku stated. "Of course, should you choose to continue your profession we might have more jobs in the future."
"So how do we do this?" Bane asked.
"Mr. Mudd has been gracious enough to provide us with a special kind of technology." Dooku gestured to Mudd who stepped forward.
"You're too kind, Count Dooku." Harry Mudd stated as he looked at the bounty hunters who looked rather…unimpressed with him. "Now, you may not know me, but I happen to be someone from the Milky Way Galaxy. I am a bit of an entrepreneur and all-around speculator."
"Mr. Mudd is a noted criminal in his galaxy and one who has made a lifetime of evading Federation capture, aside from a handful of times." Dooku stated dryly.
"Yes." Mudd cleared his throat. "Which is how I know how to smuggle a ship of this size through the wormhole and into the Milky Way."
"Why not just cloak the ship and go through the wormhole?" Boba Fett asked.
Mudd chuckled and knelt down to look Fett in the eye. "It's cute you think how easy that is, boy but the United Federation of Planets is a bit more intolerant of criminals running around in their backyard. No offense to everyone here."
Fett just glared at the man as he stood back up.
"In fact, the Federation station on the other side will detect the distortions of the wormhole as a ship emerges from it, even if it is cloaked. And they have experience with cloaking device." Mudd continued. "The best way…Is to enter in plain sight."
The bounty hunters stared at Mudd before Bane finally looked at Dooku. "You're asking a lot of us, Dooku and I have half a mind to ask for triple for taking this…man with us."
"Now, now, Mr. Bane I assure you I know what I am doing. Now, this is not the official ship that will be traveling to the Milky Way in the wake of learning about that Genesis device, right?" Mudd looked at Dooku who nodded.
"The vessel in question is actually the prototype for a new vessel." Dooku answered as a holographic image appeared in front of him. "Behold the Subjugator."
The ship in question had some design similarities to both the Providence-class carrier/destroyer and the Recusant-class light destroyer but was almost as large as five Venator-class Star Destroyers and totaled four thousand, eight hundred and forty-five meters in length.
"The prototype completed its shakedown cruise recently and per my instructions, the middle interior was hollowed out and converted into a docking bay large enough to accommodate the Corpulentus." Dooku stated.
"Good." Mudd grinned. "That's how we get in. This larger ship literally carries this ship over to the other side, this ship remains in cloak, protected by the larger ship's outer hull and is dumped out without anyone realizing what is happening. Even if the Federation sensors are online, we only need enough power for the cloaking device and when it's activated, we simply detach the ship, and it will float away. Once we're far enough, we power up the engines and it will be smooth sailings to the Mutara Sector since the Federation Council has ordered the Mutara Sector off limits to all starships."
"Meaning they won't be expecting anyone foolish or daring enough to defy their edict." Dooku stated, deactivating the image. "You have heard our plan, gentleman and Miss Sing."
Aurra simply rolled her eyes.
"Why a cruiser in the first place?" Bane asked. "Don't you think something smaller would be easier?"
"Unfortunately, we don't have the time to remove the cloaking projectors from one ship to another. I have sources that may indicate the Republic and by the extension the Jedi are also looking into Genesis themselves." Dooku answered.
"That and there are certain parties interested in the battle droids that the Count's own government uses. They might be a big boon to several syndicates who can help them a great deal." Harry Mudd interjected. "So a chance to make a profit, empower a few of the Federation competitors and seizing the secret of a device that can rewrite the universe at the sub-atomic level means we can't afford to be going small here."
Sing perked up at the mention of Jedi being involved. "And if there are Jedi at this planet?"
"I respect your skills and even your willingness to battle Jedi, Miss Sing but do not forget the mission at hand." Dooku stated with a firm glare. "Hunt Jedi down on your own time, not mine."
"But you are willing to pay if a confrontation is unavoidable, right?" Bossk asked.
"So as long as there are results, I am open to discussion." Dooku simply said. "Just so as long as you remember that stealth is the objective here."
"Once we're on the other side and are released from the bigger ship, we will have to wait as the ship drifts far enough before we simply turn the engines back on and make our way to Genesis. The wormhole is right outside the Sol System, the home system of the Federation's capital planet so it's under stricter guard then before the wormhole appeared. We'll have to make sure that there no Federation ships nearby when we de-cloak and luckily, my original ship will be onboard and won't be limited by the unfortunate sensory blindness your cloaking devices produce." Harry Mudd continued. "Then we make a simple hyperspace jump to a few systems where our clients will be waiting and then make the final jump to Genesis. Once we're there, all we have to do is sit back and wait because knowing the Federation they will send a science vessel or even put a station in orbit of the planet to monitor it. There was in fact, a laboratory station in orbit of a nearby planet called Regula where the Genesis device was originally developed."
"The planet can serve as a cover if the cloaking device proves unfeasible." Dooku stated. "From there, you can monitor everything and anything of importance."
"And how do we get back to this galaxy?" Bane asked. "Your delegation can't be staying for very long."
"It will stay long enough. I have assurances that news of Genesis will have a deeply negative impact on the Senate. After all, as powerful as Genesis is to create a planet, consider what might happen if this device is deployed on a planet where life already exists." Dooku stated.
They all thought it over and Dooku had a point.
Genesis by all accounts was amazing in the way that it could actually create an entire planet but at the same time it was scary because it had the potential to be a weapon of mass destruction beyond anything they could have considered. The bounty hunters could imagine the Galactic Senate and by extension the Jedi freaking out about this.
"We'll do our part to give you as much time as you need." Dooku stated. "And I assure you, should you accomplish your mission we'll see to it that you and your precious cargo are returned safely to this galaxy."
