Chapter 28: A happy ending… or not?

Final originals
The entire galaxy was celebrating the defeat of the empire along with the rebellion. Without Palpatine's leadership, the imperial remnants had no choice but to sign a peace agreement with the new Republic.
Right now on Coruscant Mon Mothma the Chancellor of the new Republic decorated the heroes of the rebel alliance with medals.
Until it was Engel's turn who received the medal with honor and addressed the holonet and everyone present, "I want to apologize to everyone I deceived, but above all I thank you for forgiving me in the end." He said with a kind smile.
And everyone present vigorously applauded Engel and all the rebels for freeing them from the tyrannical rule of the empire.
Eight months later
Han and Leia's wedding took place on the world of Naboo...
Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan looked beautiful in that wedding dress being led by her father's arm to the altar.
Among those present were her brother Luke, Engel, Chewie, C0P3 and R2D2.
Upon reaching the altar Anakin handed over her daughter Leia to her boyfriend who was waiting for her...
The ceremony went on normally until the moment came… Han and Leia kissed. And the pontiff declared them husband and wife.
Everyone present applauded loudly and at that moment, for a second, Anakin remembered his wedding to Padmé...
That memory before would have brought him pain, now he remembered it with joy and a smile. He felt happy for his daughter.
"Anakin, are you feeling okay, boy?" Engel asked kindly.
"Yes, Engel. Better than ever" he replied with a smile under his helmet.
At the end of the ceremony, everyone moved to the celebration and Luke approached Engel with a smile. "Today is a very happy day for everyone," he commented.
Engel responded with a smile, "How could we not be happy, Leia is with a man who deserves her," he commented.
Luke saw his father dancing with his sister and smiled. This was what he always dreamed of... a family "I am Anakin Skywalker's son, but you Engel... you are his father."
Engel let out a happy laugh at Luke's comment and they both came to hug.
The celebration continued until it was time for family holo photographs as souvenirs.
The first photo was of Han and Leia together.
The second photo was with Luke and the couple.
The third was with Anakin and Engel along with the couple.
The fourth was with the droids and Chewie.
And the fifth photograph was the most beautiful, everyone was present in the photo; Han, Leia, Luke, Anakin, Engel, Ashoka, Chewie, R2D2 and C0P3.
Four days later
Engel had returned to his town with Anakin and the people welcomed them with great joy, they were happy that Engel and Anakin had returned home after a long time.
Anakin helped Engel put his things in the cabin. Everything was just as Engel left it the last time.
Until nightfall when they finally finished putting things back as they were. But one detail was missing...
Engel took out the family holo photographs that he had saved from his suitcase and placed them on the shelf.
The first was of him as a child along with his adoptive parents, the second was with him with Anakin in the ruins of the Jedi temple and lastly all the photos of Han and Leia's wedding, and the most primordial in which They were all in the photo gathered as a family.
"Engel is beautiful," Anakin said with a smile.
"My boy, it's time to rest," Engel recommended and Anakin recommended.
It's been so long since they last touched Anakin that it's almost overwhelming. Sidious has touched him briefly, but never like this.
Anakin turns to the side, half curled up next to Engel.

"All these twenty years, you... have you never felt physical contact again? Not even a... I love you?" Engel asks, horrified but at the same time not at all surprised.
"Sidious did it sometimes, but it wasn't like that. It was brief... but he never said I love you to me not even when he was Chancellor, for him, love was nonsense" Anakin replied sadly.
"Just to hurt you," Engel says as he tried to cheer Anakin up.
"Not only," he admits, "it was to remind me that I was his." Sidious's touch had always felt possessive and sometimes he thought he had affection there, but at the end of the day, Sidious wanted it as his perfect weapon. Nothing else. After the last battle against the empire. The imperial remnants surrendered before the victory of the rebel alliance.
Leia was busy dealing with the empire, they have officially taken control after the Emperor's death.
Trying to reach an agreement between the Empire and the Rebellion to stabilize the government in the galaxy.
The inauguration and celebration of the birth of the new Republic was taking place on the world of Naboo.
"Tough times have passed since the fall of the empire, times of sacrifice, pain… and healing. I am honored by this honor that you have granted me... and as Chancellor of the new Republic I hope to reward your trust with the same dedication that you have shown to bring peace and justice back to the galaxy" Leia said with a smile on her face. and then he turned his attention to Engel and his father "Anakin Skywalker and Engel, the light in your hearts has saved us all, without you we would not have managed to defeat the Emperor."
Luke Skywalker approached his sister and saw Engel "Engel you have demonstrated your bravery and courage. Those are the qualities of a true Jedi. You are no longer a knight, you are now a Jedi master."
Engel smiled in gratitude. "Thank you very much," he said respectfully.
Four months later
"Master Engel, how good it is here" said C0P3 along with R2D2. "Princess Leia is very nervous, she hasn't put on her wedding dress yet, she wanted to wait for her best man to arrive."
"Well, I'm here C0P3," Engel said with a smile.
"Engel, it's good that you arrived, Leia is waiting for you along with the other bridesmaids," Luke announced.
"Well, I'm here, my dear grandson," said Engel with a smile.
Luke was surprised by how Engel called him "Did you say grandson?" He asked with a smile.
"Yes… I love Anakin as if he were my son and you two are like my grandchildren to me. They are my family, I love them all very much, very much" he said with a smile.
"I, like Leia, also love you, we have never had the opportunity to meet our grandparents. But it will be a pleasure if you can be Engel" Luke confessed with a smile.
Engel let out a loving smile. "Well, I have to go with Leia, I have to make her beautiful."
Engel ran with the wedding dress in his hands, since Han had made the mistake of seeing the wedding dress a day before the wedding. They had to design a new one and Engel helped with that.
Leia was with her friends waiting for Engel, her best man, until there was a knock on the door.
"Who's getting married today!?" Engel asked excitedly and Leia responded with a smile. "I'm here!"
"It's good that you're here, Engel, because I'm dying of nerves," Leia confessed with a smile.
Engel hugged Leia and then gave her her new dress. "Don't worry, I'm going to make sure you are the most beautiful bride in history."
At the ceremony everyone was waiting for the bride. Until Leia showed up accompanied by her father holding onto her arm.
It was true that the dress Leia was wearing was actually very beautiful, a white dress with white butterfly decorations and a flower decoration in her hair, it looked like a beautiful white rose.
Anakin gave his daughter to Han at the altar and was reunited with his son, Ashoka, and Engel.
The ceremony began and everyone looked at the bride and groom until it was time for the oath.
"I agree to be your wife Han, and I promise to love you until death do us part," Leia said with a soft smile, putting the ring on Han.

"It would be a lot of fun," Han said along with Chewie.
Engel seemed surprised and excited. "Do we all live together?" Engel asked with a smile... he was about to accept but his smile slowly faded. "Not long ago I would have said yes... but now, I just want to return to my town..." He said with a soft smile missing all of his friends.
Everyone nodded respecting Engel's decision, when the celebration ended they were helping Engel with his things. A ship would take him back to his world.
Anakin saw him in the distance, Engel had decided to return to his town... but he didn't know why he was feeling sad.
Right now he was with his son and daughter. He should feel happy he thought but this feeling of sadness was filling him inside.
"Father, I feel your feelings, why are you so sad?" Leia asked worried.
But Anakin did not respond, he was lost in his thoughts: "After the accident, I forgot many things, my daughter. My past of where she was and who she was" Anakin responded remembering all the moments of his life.
Luke approached his father and asked her to tell them what was happening to him because he was feeling sad.
"I forgot how alone I felt years ago in the Jedi temple... Obi-wan told me all the time that the Jedi were my family, but I didn't feel that way," Anakin confessed melancholy. "If I hadn't met Engel, tribe or his people… he should not be so sad now."
"Father that you suffered that accident in which you lost your memory… your amnesia." Luke said but Anakin interrupted him.
Anakin let out a soft smile. "Losing my memory was the best thing that ever happened to me. Because there, in the tribe and in the town, he had a life. I never felt so happy, when I lived in the tribe, I was at home..." But I couldn't see it before... Anakin thought sadly and saw that Engel was already about to leave. "I'm going to miss everyone," Anakin confessed with sadness.
"Father, you have been through a lot in your life, but if you felt happier where you were, then it would be best if you returned home," Leia advised with a smile.
"Come on, go with him," Luke said with a smile, pointing at Engel.
Anakin smiled and hugged both of his twins at the same time. "Thank you very much, my children, I will always have you in my heart."
"Yes father, we know that... but now go to Engel before he leaves" Leia said with a smile.
Before Engel boarded the ship he saw Anakin approaching him, he was confused because Anakin already said goodbye to him before he could leave.
"Engel, I'm going with you, I want to return home," Anakin said with a smile.
But Engel shook his head "No Anakin, you can't... you must be together with your children."
"They agree," Anakin said and Engel saw that Luke and Leia nodded with smiles.
Engel let out a gentle smile. "Do you want to return to my town?"
To live a life full of joy, love and happiness... I don't want to look back Anakin thought with joy and just nodded.
Then Anakin boards the ship with Engel while everyone says goodbye to them.
"See you later!" Anakin and Engel shouted together, saying goodbye to the twins, Han, Ashoka, Chewie, R2D2 and C3P0.
"Have a good trip!" They all shouted in unison, saying goodbye to Engel and Anakin who were already leaving.
"Thank you very much for everything, we will go visit you!" Leia shouted with a smile.
When Luke saw the ship disappear into the sky, he just let out a melancholy smile. "Thank you, dad, for everything. I hope you are very happy"
One year later…
Time has passed and Leia was attending to the duties of the new Republic, in her free time she spent time with her family...
Leia and her husband Han were just waiting for her future child, the princess was pregnant with her first child.
Luke with Ashoka rebuilt the Jedi order. But unlike the old Jedi order, Luke's new Jedi order separated itself from the government of the new Republic, learning from the mistakes made by the old order.
The Jedi were now dedicated to serving the force and its designs as guardians of peace and justice, and that the affairs of government were not their job.
Right now everyone was at the Millennium Falcon to visit Engel and Anakin.
The trip lasted over the span of two days, until they reached the planet and Han landed the falcon in the forest.
They continued walking until they saw fireworks in the sky, and then they found a beautiful festival... This festival was celebrated every year, bringing together the four villages and four tribes in the town where Engel lived... in order to strengthen the union and love between the habitants
They saw the great lighting, in the center a large bonfire and very beautiful floral decorations and a great variety of traditional foods and juices.
Then they saw them, Anakin and Engel were together playing with the little ones...
When Anakin and Engel saw their friends and family they approached them and they all hugged each other tightly.
Everyone was enjoying the party, eating, dancing, playing and watching the fireworks in the sky.
Everyone was together hugging like a big family watching the sky full of stars along with the fireworks…
Anakin was with his children, Ashoka and Engel next to him, Luke had Chewie, R2D2 and C3P0 next to him and Leia was next to Han.
For a moment Anakin was lost in thoughts of him looking out of the corner of his eye at Engel with a smile...
Engel at this festival, I remember the night we met six years ago... Once a long time ago I lost an angel, the force brought us together when I needed you most, it gave me another angel.
Because when I found you, my heart beat again, you gave meaning to my life and made me remember who I was...
I still have something that Sidious could never take from me, my feelings, my good heart and the goodness that still remained within me...
Anakin thought and Engel, sensing his feelings, asked him what was happening and Anakin responded, "Master Yoda was not wrong to train you, but you were too old to be initiated into the ways of the Jedi, I know that he would not have trained you if it had not been the case will of force"
Engel gave a happy and confused look. "Anakin, I don't understand you. What do you mean? "You were the one who saved us all," he said, letting out a small chuckle.
"No… you saved me and the entire galaxy," Anakin said with a smile.
Engel let out a loving smile, hugging Anakin. They all huddled together for a long time, until Luke pointed with a happy smile at the three force ghosts.
It was Obi-wan, Master Yoda and the Twi'lek Fortune Teller who greeted them with a smile...
