Chapter 48: Mystery By Moonlight:

Nancy's POV:

So, Odette was talking to me in French, but I can understand you. I won't tell you what she's saying, because it involves a lot of stuff about Bess and it's way too... let's just say I can't say it.

"So, you understood her," asks Shaun.

"Yep," I said, "thanks to that thing I ate, I can understand any language."

"Tell us more about this planet," says Bess.

"Right now, I just want to be back here on Earth," I said.

Then Laura came in. "Nancy, I need your help," says Laura.

. . .

"So, what's up," I asked.

"I've been cursed," says Laura, "if I'm hit by moonlight-"

"You turn into a werewolf," I assumed.

"Oddly enough, no," says Laura, "I'll die!"

"And who placed this curse on you," I asked, "I'm sure it was just a con."

"Xandra Cabot," says Laura.

"Yeah, no, the curse is real," I said, "I know who we should talk to."

. . .

Laura and I talk to Sabrina. "I got it," she says, "it's called the Curse of Selene! You know the story about how Selene, the Moon Titaness fell in love with Endymion and would see him in his sleep?" Neither of us had any idea on what she was talking about. "Right, well, what people don't know is that when Endymion found out, he rejected her, so Selene created a curse and placed it on him, causing him to die when exposed to moonlight. By what did you do to anger Xandra?"

"I'm not sure," says Laura.

"She probably wants something," I guessed, "but what?"

Xandra's POV:

I knew Laura would go to Nancy for help. Now, all I gotta do is plan the perfect trap and I will get my revenge on Nancy Drew. Placing that curse on Laura was the best idea I have ever had!

George's POV:

I was walking when I saw the guy I like, Danny Moss. I was about to approach him...

"Befahre you cahnteenue ahny furthair... I feel zat zere ees sahmetheeng you should know..."

"Odette, you are not going to ruin this for me," I said. I then walked towards Danny. "Hey," I said.

"Oh, hey George," says Danny.

"I was wondering if you'd like to get a smoothie together," I said.

"Oh, boy am I embarassed, when I saw you with your friend last night, I thought you were gay."

I realized what he meant. "Excuse me." I then walked away.

. . .

"I sahw heem when I wahs weeth Bess lahst night."

"STOP SEEEING BESS WHILE YOU'RE IN MY BODY!" I shouted. I hate being possessed.

Nancy's POV:

Sabrina was looking for a way to reverse the curse.

"I got it," says Sabrina, "it says you need to find the Moonstone Scepter! It can reverse the curse!"

"Where is it," I asked.

"Oddly enough, right here in Riverdale and you'll find it... at the park!"

. . .

Laura and I arrived at the park and it was getting dark and by the way, tonight's going to be a full moon, so that stinks.

"I'm pretty sure I would've noticed a scepter around here," says Laura.

"Same here," I said.

"Looking for something," asks Xandra, as she appears with the scepter.

"That explains it," I said.

"Now I can take my revenge on you, Drew and you can go with her, Hudson," says Xandra. She then used the secepter to fire energy blasts at us and we had to run. It was a bad anime.

"What do we do," asks Laura.

"We need a plan," I said.

"We better hurry," says Laura, "because the Moon is coming!"

I then remembered a weakness Xandra has... she hates it when she doesn't get her way.

We were then hiding and Xandra was looking for us. "Very impressive," I said, "I bet you'd be popular with the guys... oh wait, they wouldn't be interested!"

"Shut up," says Xandra.

"Didn't you kill a guy because he was dating someone else and not you," asks Laura.

"SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!" We continue to mock her, and Xandra gets so annoyed, she drops the scepter and Laura grabs it and the scepter glows and lifts the curse just in time for the Moon. "That was dumb."

Laura then knocks her out with the scepter.

. . .

Xandra was being taken in.

"So, what happened," asks Det. Tamura.

"I was in trouble," says Laura, "but I got out with a little help from my sister."

Things are now working out.

In the next chapter, Gomber learns that he's not the only big bad in Riverdale.
