Chapter 9: Scrambled Eggs Part 2

Meanwhile…

Charlie, Vaggie and Angel standing in a room. Angel is looking satisfied with himself, Charlie is looking incredibly shocked, and Vaggie looks angry. Usagi looks so nervous that she's hiding behind Charlie.

"Angel! What the actual fuck?!" Vaggie exclaims in anger.

Turns out, Angel's suggestion for trust bonding is a BDSM Sex Dungeon.

"No activity requires more trust than BDSM, baby," Angel says, holding out a pair of fuzzy handcuffs.

Much to Vaggie dismay.

"No bond stronger than those formed through bondage! That's their motto!" Angel says and points to the poster.

It indeed reads, "No bond stronger than those formed through bondage."

"Angel, love the enthusiasm. But, umm, uh...hmmm…" Charlie responds, having trouble finding the woods.

Mainly because she's disturbed by it.

Vaggie glares at Angel, "What makes you think anyone would be into this?"

Usagi is shaking like a leaf, "I-I hate this…"

"See," Vaggie says, proving her point.

However, Husk, who is purring as he gets massaged.

"You know, I...I don't hate this," Husk says, relaxing and chuckling.

Soon, Niffty appears in a dominance outfit.

"I'm ready to punish some bad boys!" Niffty says and giggles.

Seeing Niffty and her outfit makes Husk give up, "Never mind, I-I'm out!" And quickly runs off.

Just then, a demon with snake hair comes up behind Charlie and starts giving her a massage.

"Okay, hello there. Hi. Um. Hm. Hm…" Charlie says, getting nervous and lost for words.

Soon, other demons begin coming towards Charlie and rubbing themselves against her.

Luckily. Vaggie pulls Charlie away from the other demons, "Ugh! I can't fucking believe I let you drag us here, Angel. This is disgusting. I'm just glad Zelda is not here to see this."

"It's no big deal, Vaggie," Charlie reassures, "You know, maybe I can just help, uh-"

But Vaggie, "No. I told you you could trust me, and I'm not going to let you down," And walks away from Charlie, "I just need to teach them...the way I was taught…" as she smiles with excitement when she has the perfect trust exercise for all of them.

Soon enough, the group standing on a rooftop with half-destroyed buildings all around them. Everyone was shocked that the exercise had taken them to a live turf war battlefield with guns blazing in the background, demons screaming, and explosions booming.

Charlie shouts over the other demons' scream,"THIS IS HOW YOU LEARNED TO TRUST PEOPLE?!"

On the ground, demons are shooting each other, brawling with weapons, and one demon is on fire, screaming and running around while others are still enjoying the carnage.

Cactus Cowboy Demon shouts, "Yee-haw!"

Punk Demon screams, "Let's go, Baby!"

Cactus Cowboy Demon also shouts, "Bring it on, Bitch!"

Back at the rooftop, Vaggie makes a drill sergeant march, "There is nothing stronger than the trust between comrades and arms. Buckle up, buttercups, because today you boys become men!"

There is a loud explosion in the background, sending shockwaves that sways Vaggie's hair with a satisfying smile.

Vaggie advances on Pentious, "You…" and picks up Pentious over her head.

Pentious panics, "Wait, wait! I can't fight without my minions-"

"Are gonna survive together!" Vaggie shouts as she throws Sir Pentious off the building.

Then she turns to Angel Dust, "And you…"

And Angel walks back to panic, "D-don't you even think about it-"

But Vaggie grabs him anyway, "Are gonna make this hotel work!" And throws him off the roof too.

Soon, "Niffty bounces next to Vaggie, her arms raised with excitement, "My turn, my turn!" and psychotically smiling with anticipation.

Vaggie picks up Niffty as Husk goes back into the inside of the building, not wanting to get involved and realizing how far this exercise has gone. Vaggie makes to throw Niffty.

But before she could, Charlie snatches her up before she can, "Vaggie! No!"

"This is the only way they'll learn, Charlie," Vaggie says.

But Charlie says, "No, it's not," And puts down Niffty, "There are other ways. It just takes time!"

Niffty looks back at Charlie, asking to be lifted. When Charlie ignores her, Niffty jumps off of the building herself. Usagi gasps and quickly flies down after her. Of course, Usagi, Pentious, Angel, and Niffty are being heard fighting against hordes of demons.

Vaggie argues, "Time we don't have! How many Exterminations will have gone by before these idiots get their shit together? How many times will we have to watch your people be killed before we make headway?" And turns away from Charlie.

"Vaggie…" Charlie says, worried.

"I took charge today and it all went sideways. I'm supposed to make your dreams a reality. I'm supposed to protect you," Vaggie says as she takes Charlie by the shoulders, "I'm supposed to never fail you," and goes back to the edge of the rooftop.

They can hear Angel shouting, "I blame you for this, you crazy bitch!"

Charlie tries to reassure Vaggie, "You didn't fail me. Vaggie, you're not-you're not-"

"If I can't help you, what's the point of me?" Vaggie replies,

Charlie gasps in shock, "Vaggie, don't say that! You do so much! It's-"

"I'm sorry. I'd...I'd like to be alone for a minute, Vaggie says.

Seeing Vaggie in this state, Charlie walks to the other side of the rooftop, an exhausted Angel and Usagi come out of the door, carrying a battered, but intact Sir Pentious, before Angel throws him onto the roof.

"Made it!" Angel says.

But Charlie walks to the door as she says, "Let's go home, guys."

Angel groans, "Ugh! I just walked up all those stairs!" As he pulls Sir Pentious back down the stairs by his tail.

Vaggie stays on the rooftop by herself.

Back at the meeting room, Zelda remains in front as she slowly leans to the door to hear the conversation.

Inside the room, that is Carmilla's office, Carmilla mutters in Spanish as she pours herself a drink, before beginning to down the bottle instead of the glass she poured for herself.

Zestial soon approaches her to ask, "Carmilla, what troubles thou? Losing thy composure is unlike thee."

Carmilla sighs and answers, "It's nothing, Zestial, really."

But Zestial soon understands why Carmilla got upset with Velvette early.

He asks, "The felled angel...t'was by thy hand, was it not?"

"Let's not talk about it," Carmilla says and walks back to her desk.

Clara then speaks up, "Mom...maybe he should know."

But Carmilla slams her hands on the desk, "Nobody should know. I did what I had to do. I am not discussing this."

Unknown to the group, Frank is hiding behind the potted plant. He quickly hides behind it and retrieves his hat, realizing it has fallen off his head.

Outside of the office, Zelda has heard the conversation and is shocked.

"So then, the one who killed the Exorcist was Carmilla," Zelda says to herself in thought, "So then, why? Why didn't she want to tell everyone? Unless she has a reason to not tell."

In the office, Carmilla and her daughters remain silent.

Just then, Zestial lays his hand on her shoulder, to counsel her.

Zestial:

What weighs on your soul, old friend?

I implore you to share the load!

If it was thou who slew the angel, why not let your strength be known?

Carmilla remains silent. She then stands up and walks away.

Carmilla Carmine:

I always thought

That I would keep blood off my face.

But when that thing attacked

I had to act

To cross that line and keep them safe.

She then looks out the window.

Carmilla Carmine:

But if anyone knew, then all of Hell would rise to war, and who's to say?

Who'd survive the fray?

I might lose the ones that I'd been killing for!

So, I'll

Soom, Clara, Odette, and Giselle come over to her and Carmilla wraps her arms around them.

Carmilla Carmine:

I'll be your keeper!

Do whatever it takes, I'll make the mistakes!

I'll keep you safe and keep this secret.

Meanwhile, Vaggie is now at the foot of the hotel and beginning to climb up the hotel's structure.

Vaggie:

When I saw your face, you made me feel like a stranger in a brand new place

And it felt so good to be understood!

But there's so much I wished that I could say

So I, I'll be your armor

Do whatever it takes, I'll make the mistakes

I'll spend my life being your partner

Carmilla Carmine:

And I don't know what we might face

But I know I can't replace you

So I'll do anything to save you

Vaggie:

And I will try to make your dreams come true

Both:

Whatever we go through

I know I

Carmilla Carmine:

I'll be your keeper

Vaggie:

I'll be your armor

Both:

Whatever it takes

Carmilla Carmine:

I'll make the mistakes

Vaggie:

I'll make the mistakes

Both:

Whatever it takes

Back in the meeting room, Zelda has heard everything that occurred, and realizes that Carmilla has killed the Exorcists in order to protect her daughters. And she doesn't want anyone to know about what she did because she didn't want to risk her daughters' safety. In fact, hearing Carmilla's confession and singing, causes Zelda to have tears streaming down her face. She covers her mouth as she mutters her sobbing, but it ends up being heard.

In the office, Carmilla and the others hear the soft sobbing.

"What's that?" Clara questions.

But Carmilla shushes them and softly says, "It appears we're not alone."

Giselle soon approaches the door and hears the soft sobbing.

Giselle says, "It's coming from here."

She then reaches towards the door and opens it. Unknown to Zelda, when the door opens, she falls over and hits the ground with a thud. That causes the hat to fall off her head.

"Ow…" Zelda mutters with her face plant on the floor.

Zelda soon sits up and rubs her forehead in pain, forgetting about the face paint on her face.

"Hmm, it appears Alastor's little acquaintance has been eavesdropping," Zestial says.

Giselle kneels down to Zelda and asks, "Are you okay?"

Zelda sits up and shakes her head, but accidentally causes her hair to fall off from the bun, revealing her long hair.

Zelda answers, "Um yes. I'm fine."

"Uh your face seems smudged," Giselle says.

"My…" Zelda says.

But quickly realizes that she must have scrapped off the face makeup she's wearing. Giselle then slides her finger on Zelda's cheek and looks at what's on her finger.

Confused, Giselle asks, "Is this… face makeup…?"

Zelda tries to think of how to explain the situation and the makeup on her face.

Without a way out of it, Zelda sighs and says, "Yes."

Zelda then uses her powers to change her eyes back to her more human blue eyes. She then brings out a cloth to get the face makeup off her.

"I'm uh, sorry about that, but it was needed because of the uh, publicity I've gotten," Zelda says, wiping her face.

Soon, Zelda reveals her real face. Carmilla, Zestial, Clara, Odette, and Giselle, are shocked to see Zelda.

"It's the human from the News…" Clara says, shocked.

"Well, it appears the young human unexpectedly graced us with her presence," Zestial says.

"Um us, I suppose Mr. Zestial, correct?" Zelda says.

"Indeed. Though never expected that the human in question has accompanied Alastor," Zestial says.

"Um, yes sir," Zelda says.

Then Giselle realizes, "I think I remember you. I saw you at the hotel where the princess is running during our delivery."

"You're right. It is her," Odette says.

"The hotel, so that means you're staying with the princess as well?" Carmilla asks.

"Yes ma'am. My new friend Angel Dust decided to bring me to the hotel after that little mishap during the Turf War two weeks ago," Zelda says.

"More than a little mishap. Judging by the wings, you seem to be a fallen angel, but you also appear human," Odette says.

Skeptic, Zelda says, "I'm afraid I don't have an answer for that. Charlie and the others are trying to help me, but they did think it's possible I'm a Nephilim."

"Seems to make sense. However, there aren't that many Fallen Angels. There's practically less than a handful," Odette says, adjusting her glasses.

Giselle then turns to Zelda, "Uh if you don't mind, we ask you something, um, Zelda, is it?"

"I guess you heard my name from the news as well," Zelda replies.

Giselle nods.

"You have a point, but I do like to introduce myself. My name is Zelda Kalama," Zelda says.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Giselle," Giselle says.

Then turns to the others, "This is my mother, Carmilla, and my older sisters, Odette and Clara. I'm guessing you've already met Zestial."

"Yes. We met before we arrived here," Zelda says.

"But still, what were you doing?" Carmilla asks.

"Sorry, but I couldn't help but notice that you seemed bothered by the dead Exorcists. I couldn't help but be concerned because Velvette was giving you a hard time," Zelda says. Then sighs, "And she kind of gave me a hard time too."

She then lowers her head in remorse, "And um, I heard that you ended up being the first to kill that Exorcist, and why you want to keep it a secret. I was shocked by it, but I can understand that you did it to protect your daughters."

Unknown to the people, Frank the Egg Bois is able to sneak out while Zelda is talking to the other demons.

Carmilla sighs, "So, you have heard everything."

"Sadly, yes," Zelda says.

"You're not going to tell the princess, are you?" Giselle asks, worried.

"What?! Of course not!" Zelda cries out in a panic, "My mom always tells me it's never good to gossip! I can guess you all don't know me, but your mom actually had a good reason for what happened! She did it out of self-defense and defending you and your sisters!"

Giselle places her hands on Zelda's shoulders, causing her to stop talking.

"Hey take it easy. There's no need to freak out," Giselle says.

Zelda takes a deep breath to calm herself down.

"Sorry, but I understand what your mom doesn't want anyone to know, especially since I get that it became a fact that angels can be harmed," Zelda says.

"You are correct. I suppose Princess Charlotte explained to you about the Extermination," Carmilla says.

Zelda nods, "Yes. They explained what the sinners have to deal with every year. Only now, it's going to happen every half a year. It seems that Hell will have an even more difficult time. And from what the other explains, it appears to get more violent each time."

"You're right about that, and now we know that the Exorcists can be killed," Clara says.

"And Velvette and the other Vees want to pick a fight with the Exorcists," Odette says.

"Yeah. I think what she and her friends are doing is completely crazy. That's why I spoke up and agreed with Zestial. Without knowing the cause of death, we'll be picking a fight without any means of defense. It could lead to war and Hell will end up losing it," Zelda explains.

Then grows worried, "And, I'm starting to suspect Velvette had an idea, given to how you reacted. I don't think she pieced together the pieces yet. Honestly, I had a feeling you know about the Angel's death. And after hearing the conversation, I know why. You killed the Exorcists to protect your daughters, Ms. Carmilla. You simply do what any parent would do, protect their children, even though you are aware it could have cost you your life."

Carmilla calmly smiles, "I appreciate your words. It appears that you are quite reasonable and knowing about my actions of what happened," Then frowns, "However, it's concerning that you've become knowledgeable of this secret and the way that goes on in Hell. And yet, I feel I can trust you in keeping this conversation between us."

"I promise. I'll make sure this conversation stays between us," Zelda says.

Giselle smiles and says, "Thank you, Zelda. Even though you're a human, you're a very nice person."

"Thank you," Zelda says. "Anyway, I think I better get going. Alastor and I should be getting back to the hotel."

"Sure, though I'm still worried about you being around Alastor," Giselle says.

"I get it, Alastor is unpredictable, dangerous, a deal maker, and whatnot, but he hasn't caused any trouble for us so far. And Charlie and especially Vaggie is going to make sure of it," Zelda says.

"If you say so," Giselle says.

"That's true, with Alastor's reputation, he is dangerous. Although, I think there's one group of demons that's even worse than Alastor," Odette says.

"The Vees," Clara replies with her arms crossed.

"Sounds like you guys don't like them either," Zelda replies.

"No. We don't," Giselle says.

"Even I find them concerning, especially Velvette's statements from earlier," Clara says.

"Yeah. Velvette is a piece of work," Zelda says, "I'm just glad I only met her and not Vox and Valentino."

"I have to agree on that. They tend to get on my nerves," Odette says.

The girls continue talking as Carmilla and Zestial watch the conversation.

"It appears that my daughters are becoming acquainted with the girl," Carmilla says.

"Indeed," Zestial says. He then looks at Zelda, "However, I believe there is something familiar about the child."

Zestial continues to watch Zelda as she talks to the girls. Just then, something clicks in Zestial's mind. The blonde hair, the rosy cheeks, and remembering the wings of Zelda's first transformation and fire power, Zestial realsies what this Zelda is giving him an odd feeling.

"Zestial…" Carmilla speaks up.

Zestial turns to Carmilla.

"Is there something wrong?" Carmilla asks.

"Not wrong, but perplexed," Zestial says.

"Perplexed?" Carmilla questions.

Zestial soon turns back to Zelda who is still talking to the girls.

Then Zelda says, "Anyway, I gotta get going. And also, I think it's best we keep this conversation between us."

"I think it will be best," Giselle says as she writes something in her small notebook.

Giselle then tears the paper out and passes it to Zelda, "It's my number. You know, in case you need anything you can call me."

"Okay. Thanks Giselle," Zelda says and takes the paper.

Then waves goodbye, "Bye everyone."

"Bye," Giselle says.

"See you around," Clara says as Odette waves goodbye.

Then Zelda leaves the room without another word.

Shortly after, the Egg Bois are scavenging for weapons, parts, and garbage in the dumpster outside of the building.

Each of the Egg Bois says, "Ohhhh, this one smells like fun," One of them laughs, "Oh, I love garbage."

The elevator door rings, and Alastor is waiting for the Egg Boi, Frank, to return after spying on Carmilla and Zestial. He's about to join the others when Alastor stops him.

Alastor asks, "So, what did you hear?"

Frank soon explains, "First, the old guy w-was all, 'You're not yourself. You're the one who killed the angel,' a-a-and, she was all…"

And begins to sing.

Frank the Egg Boi:

Whatever it takes

But Alastor interrupts him, "And then what was the last thing?"

"She killed the angel?" Frank confirms.

"Interesting," Alastor says, taking an interest in the new information.

She then leans to Frank, "Lets keep this between us," and makes an evil grin that statics, "Shall we?"

"You got it, boss!" Frank the Egg Boi says as he salutes.

"Yeah. It's really best that we keep this one to ourselves," Zelda speaks up.

Alastor turns to see Zelda, who has come out of the elevator and has her arms crossed.

"Hello Zelda, I see you were able to get out of the situation without an issue," Alastor says.

"Yes. I have," Zelda says.

She then sighs and says, "Still, you can't let what Carmilla did get out. Who knows what will happen."

"But of course. And I suggest you do the same, but I figure you knew that," Alastor says.

Zelda nods, "Of course." She then glares at Alastor, "And if you dare tell anyone about this, I'll punch your teeth in and put you on fire like a torch, got it?" and raises her fist close to Alastor's face.

Alastor laughs and asks, "Is that threat?"

"Depends on you, Radio Boy," Zelda says.

Alastor shrugs his shoulders, "Fair enough. Though I suggest you need to practice more on your threats."

"Whatever Alastor," Zelda replies, rolling her eyes.

Then Zelda turns to the Egg bois, "So what do we do about them now?"

"Well, I think it will be best if we keep them around. They could assist with the hotel. Now come along, I believe that it's time for us to head back," Alastor says.

"Okay," Zelda says.

And with that, Zelda, Alastor, and the Egg Bois begin heading back to the hotel.

Sometime later…

Zestial is in his home as he sits and has his tea.

He then turns to see a photograph, "Hmm, so Alexander Morningstar… Zelda Kalama is thou's daughter."

The photograph he has is of him and Carmilla Carmine, and Alexander Morningstar, Zelda's father is in the photograph as well.

Later on in the hotel, Charlie looks down after a disastrous trust exercise. Vaggie came on the balcony to see her.

"Hey," Vaggie says with a wave.

Charlie waves back, "Hey."

Vaggie walks over to Charlie.

After a moment of silence, Vaggie sighs and apologizes, "I'm sorry I got so crazy today."

But Charlie grabs Vaggie's hand, "No, no, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I put pressure on you. We work as a team. I guess I just thought all this would be easier, but...we'll figure it out...together. I mean, look what your exercise did for them," and gestures to the lobby.

There Angel, Pentious, and Niffty laughing amongst themselves after one crazy battle against the demons in a turf war.

Angel laughs, "And then, when that buff guy started beating the shitoutta you!"

Pentious is also laughing, "Yes, and with the dismembered arm," He lets out another laugh, "Yes, that was particularly unpleasant," And soon feels dejected.

"I liked that part," Niffty adds, giggling.

then turns to Usagi, "My other favorite part is when Usagi screams in panic as she jumps on the two guys like they're trampolines."

Angel laughs, "Yeah. That was fuckin' hilarious. you would'nt stop screaming and bouncing on the two guys' back like you're pressing them to the ground."

Usagi blushes, "That was very embarrassing, especially since I've never fought anyone before."

Then Husk says to Pentious, "Well, hey, at least you can take a beating like a champ," as comes over and pats him, "You did okay, new kid."

"Really? Oh well, I suppose I did get into a little of the old rough and tumble today," Pentious says with a small laugh. Then turns to Angel, "And uh...thank you for pulling me out of there."

Everyone laughs with enjoyment, but Niffty had to ruin the moment when she started to maniacally laugh evilly in front of her peers, and the guys stopped after hearing her laughter turning sadistic.

"Well, how about that?" Vaggie says, actually impressed.

And guess her exercise has worked after all.

The front door opens, and Alastor enters the hotel with the Egg Boiz minions tailing behind him.

Vaggie notices them and calls out to Alastor, "Alastor… Zelda… Failed to get rid of the eggs, I see."

"Um yeah. Sorry, it was difficult for us to get them to leave," Zelda apologizes with a sheepish smile.

"Yes, well, the little monsters prove to be rather useful," Alastor says. And Alastor glows with excitement over the new information he received about the overlords.

Then Vaggie says, Why don't you give them back to Pentious.

Upon hearing this, Pentious gets teary, "Really?"

"Yeah. After today, I guess I can trust you with them," Vaggie replies.

And give them a serious stern expression, "But seriously, no more weapons," as she narrows her eyes with each word.

Pentious gets emotional and slithers down to hug his Egg Bois as Alastor walks away.

Pentious happily screams, "Ahhh! My eggs! Yay. Ah, it's so good to have you back."

He then drops the eggs and says, "Now, go clean my quarters this instant!"

At his command, the Egg Boiz immediately scatters away as Charlie and Vaggie watch them leave.

"Maybe, things'll move fast than you think," Charlie says.

Charlie and Vaggie soon walk up to Zeld as the girl walks up the stairs.

"So Zelda, how was your day out with Alastor?" Charlie asks.

"Well, to be honest, it actually went really well. And I ended up meeting a new friend," Zelda says.

"That's actually good," Vaggie says, "Is she aware that you're…"

Zelda sighs, "Yes, she knows, but Giselle and her family promised to keep all of this a secret."

"Giselle?" Charlie questions.

"Yes. Giselle Carmine. She's my new friend. She's really nice and cool. Her sisters and mom are good once I get to know them," Zelda says.

"Carmine?" Vaggie questions.

Soon Charlie knows who Zelda is referring to, "Oh, you mean Carmilla's youngest daughter. I know who you're talking about. She's very sweet, but she is very skilled and helps her mom a lot."

"I see, but remember to be careful. We want less demons to know you're human as possible. And hope your friendship with her works out," Vaggie says.

Zelda giggles and says, "Okay."

At the end of the day, Pentious was getting ready for bed with his Egg Boiz in tow.

Sir Pentious fixed up his pillow, "Ah! How was your day with Alastor, my minions?"

"It was awesome boss, I went to this meeting and there was a knife lady, an old guy, and a dinosaur," Frank says.

"Mmm, that's nice," Pentious says.

Then Frank says, "And the knife lady killed an angel, and I was not supposed to talk about it."

"Oh, I'm so sure and maybe you'll meet Martians tomorrow, but now is time for sleep," Pentious says, lying down in bed.

Soon the Egg Bois gather around Pentious for sleep.

"Good night Eggies," Pentious says before falling asleep.

They all cuddle together as Frank yawns to sleep, while everyone is completely oblivious to the whole thing.
