To whoever is reading this, it happened. I got isekai'd, and to the world of Remnant at that. As embarrassing as it is to say, yes truck-kun did get me, loud honk, bang, then dead. Just like all those terrible anime protagonists. I'm not too upset about it, my life wasn't bad or anything, but it wasn't outstanding, just a normal average life.
Then I got to the afterlife and had confetti thrown in my face. Obviously, I was confused, I mean you get to the afterlife and everyone's celebrating your death, doesn't sound right does it, not to mention rude. But apparently, I was a special case. I was the 77777… I'm not actually going to write it out, but basically, it was a whole lot of sevens and I mean a whole lot, I don't think I even know the name of the number.
To cut my rambling I was whatever that number is death in the history of humans, so I got a prize. I was allowed to reincarnate wherever, whenever, and as whoever I wanted. So as you know I chose Remnant. I was a huge fan of RWBY in my life. I'm sad that I never got to see how it ended but this is honestly better, I get to actually live it.
So you may be asking 'Who's writing this, who did you become? Did you become Ruby or one of her friends? Maybe an unknown side character?' Well, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Salem, and I'm the Immortal Grimm Queen.
Boom! Big reveal! I mean I'm super excited about it. I get to play the villain; I've already been practicing her calm yet menacing aura and I think I've got it down pat. And I know some of you are probably thinking, her whole thing was that she wanted to die but she couldn't because she's cursed so won't you eventually be miserable? But you don't have to worry, Big G in his infinite wisdom gave me the ability to turn off her immortality when I'm ready to join him upstairs, I just can't turn it back on when I turn it off. It's a one-and-done thing.
Anyway, being the villain is going to be so cool. I'll get to be the reason for the hero's triumphant victories and their crushing defeats as they work tooth and nail to stop me. Of course, I'm not actually going to end the world, but they won't know that. Unless of course, they read this.
And if you are reading this. Hi Ruby Rose, I'm a big fan.
Well, I should probably figure out how to use my magic and make Grimm. That's sorta important if I'm going to be the big bad. I'll make a second log once I figure it out. But for now, Salem out.

So, it turns out Magic is super easy, it's mostly based on intent. There's no incantations or magic weaving, you just have to draw from your magic reserves (took me a little while to figure out how to do that) and then it just does what you want it to. Obviously, I'm simplifying it a little but those are the basics. Also, it turns out you can indeed run out of magic. It kinda works like aura, you have a set amount (I have a lot, so it takes quite a while for me to run out) and by using magic it depletes. When you are not using magic, your reserves replenish themselves, simple as. Magic is really interesting, and the applications seem endless. Really makes me wonder why the maidens only ever used their magic for attacking. Maybe their magic's not as versatile as mine after all it was gifted to them instead of being born with it, or maybe they just don't know? Questions for later I suppose.
On to Grimm making, which is much more complex. The Gimm pools automatically produce Grimm so all it takes is a slight prodding to make them spit one out when I want it to. But choosing what Grimm spawns is much harder, and don't even get me started on making complex or unconventional Grimm such as a seer.
So, it turns out each pool has a will of its own, I don't really have a better term for it. It's not like the pools are living things, but it does have a will. And to select what Grimm you want you have to have the strength and strong will of your own to overpower the pool's will.
Beowolves, those are easy doesn't take much strength. But it requires more and more strength the higher tier Grimm you want to make. Probably why wyverns Grimm aren't flying around everywhere, I can't imagine how much strength, energy, and willpower you need to make one of those.
Luckily for me, the previous Salem, before I took over her body, was nice enough to leave me a nice stockpile of complex Grimm such as a bunch of seers, I can even feel the presence of Monstra (that's her mobile whale base in case you didn't know) nearby. Honestly thank God, I'm so glad I don't have to make that myself.
I hope the real Salem got to go to the afterlife once I took her body, or maybe she was just deleted from existence. I guess it doesn't really matter, all she wanted was to die and she got her wish. Wins for everyone, I got to become her without the need to be bogged down with everlasting immortality and she got to die. Yay, go me!
I should probably figure out exactly when I am, I wanted to come into this world a bit before the canon storyline started but I didn't specify… yeah, I should figure that out.
