London, 1993
I was already running late for an important meeting with one of our new clients. This was my big chance to make an impression since my promotion and it already seemed like I messing up. Why couldn't the tube in this place ever work for at least five minutes?
I had grown up in a small village called Wall in Somerset and was bored of the dull village life. I had always wanted more, and nothing could give me that more than the rush of London. I didn't have an ounce of regret leaving that place. But seriously, the buses were better at being on time there as opposed to London and that's the only good thing I have to say as I cursed my way through the crowds of fellow commuters.
As I was walking whilst trying to call my PA to pass on a quick message, someone crashed into me, and it made me fall back onto the path with an embarrassing thud. I looked up to see a tall figure in front of me, dark hair which was long enough to be pulled back and green eyes staring down at me.
"You should be more careful to where you're going" he tried to joke as he held his hand out to me which of course, I refused as I picked myself up off the ground.
"Me? You crashed into me!" I exclaimed, annoyed that my outfit now had dirt over it, and I'd have to change into one of my spare outfits in the office now.
"If you had been looking up instead of down on that brick of a phone, things would be a whole lot different now" he jumped back onto the defence as I waved my arms at him and snapped "I don't have time for this."
And I continued to stalk my way into the office, annoyed that I had such a disastrous morning before such a big meeting. I quickly threw everything into my office and went to the toilets to change, I needed to be presentable, I needed to prove myself.
"Bella, your new client is here in the board room" I was informed as I quickly grabbed my laptop and rushed over to the boardroom, annoyed that I hadn't had time to set up, this looked so unprofessional. I walked into the meeting room and didn't even have time to think as I started to say "Good morning, it's nice to finally meet you -"
The man turned around and I couldn't believe my eyes as I felt my stomach drop. It was the man I had bumped into just now; please tell me this wasn't happening and all I could manage to blurt out was "You!"
