Marinette changed back into her clothes, her feet squeaking on the wet titles as she left the pool.

It'd been sunny when she and Kagami had arrived, but now rain splattered against the windows. She sighed, opening her umbrella, dreaming of a steaming mug of hot coca, and sketching for hours.

She pushed open the door, and headed out into the rain, when a voice like sunshine called out to her. "Hey, Marinette, wait!" Marinette turned, her smile growing wide as Adrien stepped towards her.

"You still have the umbrella I gave you?" Adrien asked, as he slung his gym bag over his shoulder. Marinette nodded, the rain making a pitter-patter sound as she looked at him. His eyes were soft and green. "It was my mother's you know." "Was she the one…." Marinette's voice trailed off as Adrien nodded. "Yes, she used this very umbrella in the movie Solitude."

"Adrien, if it was your Mother's, you should have it back. I don't mind walking in the rain." "And catch getting a cold?" Marinette's mind churned. "Well, since I still have it, would you like to walk home with me?" she held her breath, waiting for his answer.

"Sure, I have Chinese lessons, but I always have time for you, Marinette. I'm really glad we can spend some time together," he told her. Then he offered her his arm. What a gentleman! "Shall we?" he asked with a grin. Marinette's eyes sparkled. "Yes!"

The skies above Paris were dark and stormy, but underneath Adrien's umbrella, there was only sunshine, bluebells, and laughter. The pair were so caught up with each other in their own private world, they barely noticed the rain around them.

"The bakery's just up ahead, do you want to come in for a snack?" Marinette asked. "I'd love to," Adrien told her, and Marinette gasped. "Look, Adrien! Its a rainbow!"

Sure enough the bright colored arch hung across the sky, and Adrien thought there was only one person even more beautiful then the rainbow as rain dripped from her cute pigtails. "Marinette?" "Yeah?" she ducked back under the umbrella as it started drizzling again.

"I think your really pretty and nice," he said, reaching forward and cupping her cheek and their Kwamis peeked out the bags to watch, "and I...I…" Adrien stammered.

Marinette took the initiative, dropping the umbrella and pulling the surprised Adrien in for a kiss.

Bags and umbrella were forgotten as the two lovers kissed, now soaked by the rain, but they didn't care.

Marinette sighed happily as Adrien laced their fingers and continued walking. So, this it what it meant to dance in the rain.
