Chapter 1: The Prehistoric Warrior

A/N: Heyyyyy everyone, long time no see. It's, the newly named, TL Savage1113 here with the first chapter of Power Rider Triassic. Those who were around early in my Trey-El days might recognize the name since it's a story I started twice over but never really went forward with. This time however, I'm all in on Triassic and will do my best to finish it this go around.

Let's Begin.

The cool night's breeze made the woman shiver slightly. She usually wasn't out this late, but she unfortunately had to change to a late shift to cover for a sick employee.

'They better actually be sick or I'm going to kill them.' she thought as she trudged along, not sensing the presence behind her.

She picked up the pace and sighed in annoyance. She needed to hurry home and take a load off from her stressful day. She heard a noise behind her, but assumed it was just some nocturnal animal making a ruckus. That was, until she was yanked off of her feet.

The wind was knocked out of her and her vision blurred for a couple of seconds before she looked up from the pavement towards her attacker. To call them hideous would be an understatement. All she saw was earthy brown scales attached to a thin, jet-black body with four claws on each hand. The woman instinctively backed away from the creature, getting a good look at his face, its cheshire grin filled with razor-sharp teeth and its fully black eyes filled with some kind of malice. The creature began to growl louder as it went to reach for the woman, much to her horror. Before she could be touched, a large light was casted over the two. The monster looked towards the source first followed by the woman.

The headlights of a red motorcycle was the source of the light. Looking closer, the woman noticed that the headlights of the motorcycle were the eyes of the tyrannosaurus head that covered the front of the vehicle. Next to the vehicle was a being in red and black armor with silver highlights. The woman didn't have the chance to inspect the person closer since they shot forward and dragged the monster away from the woman.

"Get to safety." the armored person told her before punching the monster in the face.

While she did get to her feet, the woman was transfixed by the scene in front of her and watched on as the armored fighter continued their assault on the scaled monster. They punched it again before turning to her.

"Get moving! Now!"

Nodding, but still looking at the two fighters, the woman began to run off in the direction of her home. As she escaped, she could hear the growls of the monster and the grunts of the armored warrior growing fainter by the minute.

"So there's absolutely nothing to say about the recent surge in crime Mr. Mayor?"

Mayor Leonard looked towards the young woman, sighing in slight irritation.

"Ms. Stark, for the last time, I have other matters to attend to at this time. I'm sorry, but no comment."

The young woman looked towards her cameraman, who gave a slight shrug at her.

A look of disappointment setting on her face, the woman turned back to the mayor, "Alright, questions over."

Giving a slight nod to the pair, the mayor entered his car before driving off soon thereafter.

The redheaded cameraman lowered his camera and turned to the woman.

"I don't know what you were expecting, Kat. The mayor wasn't going to give us anything."

"Come on Henry," Kat whined, "I had to try at least."

"I'd agree if this wasn't the umpteenth time you've tried grilling him." Henry stated, "Maybe it's time for you to find a new angle into this."

"Waiting for you to tell me the new angle Henry. As it stands, the mayor is our best bet."

Henry sighed, "I just think you're wasting our time the more you try to get anything out of him."

Kat was about to answer when her phone went off in her pocket. Pulling it out, she looked at the notification on the screen and smiled.

"Take a look at this." she stated, walking over to her partner and showing him her phone.

On the screen, Henry read the summary of a news article discussing the sight of an armored hero that saved a woman from a strange monster. While interested, Henry looked at Kat with an unsure expression.

"Are you sure this is even real? That 'strange monster' could just be some person in a costume."

Kat chuckled, "I'm not sure, but maybe this is something that ties in to the increase in crime across the city. After all, the culprits were never found." she said before looking at her phone again, "This could be the clue that finally gives us an answer."

Henry stared out into the distance, considering his next words carefully before turning to Kat again.

"Who's the person that was attacked?"

Now finding herself within a diner, Kat waited for her source. Henry chose to stay in the car while Kat spoke to the attacked woman. After a few more minutes, a blonde woman approached Kat's table.

Standing up, Kay extended her hand, "Ms. Tucker I presume?"

The woman shook Kat's hand, "Yes. I believe you are the Ms. Stark I spoke to briefly?"

"The one and only." Kat said with a soft smile before settling back into her seat.

Taking a seat herself, Ms. Tucker took a deep breath before speaking again, "What do you want to know?"

"I just wanted to ask you about the night of the attack, but first," Kat said, pulling out her cellphone, "Do you mind if I record our conversation?"

"No. I figured that you'd be doing that anyway." the blonde woman replied.

Opening a voice recording app on her phone, Kat rested her forearms on the table and looked at the woman in front of her.

"What happened that day?"

"I was called by my boss early in the morning and told that he wanted me to work a late shift since one of my co-workers was allegedly sick. I wasn't too happy about it since I enjoyed nights to myself, but I was the only one available. I got to work around 5 PM and I left work some time after 1 AM. On the way home, I was attacked by the creature." The woman explained.

Kat nodded in understanding before continuing, "Could you describe the creature? How was it acting?"

Ms. Tucker closed her eyes briefly, as if she was trying to recall a painful or disturbing memory.

"It was unnaturally thin. It's almost like it was malnourished, but I assume it was actually natural. It looked almost reptilian with brown scales and the claws on the hand. Its head looked like a skull and all I saw looking at me were pitch black eyes. As for how it was acting, I didn't really get much from the monster, but I could tell it wanted to hurt me." Ms. Tucker explained, looking off into the distance before shuddering.

Kat remained silent for a few seconds before replying, "The situation must have been terrifying. I'm sorry that you had to endure that Ms. Tucker."

Centering herself, Ms. Tucker turned her eyes back to her interviewer, "It was terrifying, but I was saved by the man in the red armor."

Kat perked up slightly at the mention of this armored man, "Is there anything you can tell me about him?" she asked.

Ms. Tucker shook her head, "I didn't interact with him much. He told me to run away and I did. I'm not even sure what happened to them after I left."

Kat nodded and looked down at the table in thought. She had a new lead to investigate, but she had one more question to ask.

"One last question if I may Ms. Tucker. Is there any reason you can think of as to why you were attacked? Any enemies? Former romantic partners? Jealous co-workers? Anything?"

Ms. Tucker shook her head, "Nothing. As far as I'm aware, there's no one who would want to harm me personally. I'd done everything in my power to be kind to everyone and none of my former relationships have ended on a bad note. If this was targeted, I know as much as you do unfortunately."

Kat sighed, but offered Ms. Tucker a smile as she put her phone away.

"Regardless, I want to thank you for your time Ms. Tucker and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day." Kat said before standing. The two women shared another handshake before Kat ventured back to her car.

From the passenger's seat, Henry offered Kat a side glance as she entered the vehicle.

"How'd it go?" he asked, turning his full attention to his partner.

"It went fine, but I didn't really learn anything new. I don't even have a lead on the armored hero." Kat replied, leaning back in her seat.

Henry nodded slowly before speaking again, "Well, you better be glad you have me here."

Kat's eyed Henry, clearly in confusion, "Did you find something?" she asked.

Henry nodded before looking at his tablet, "There is a connection between the places that have been attacked. Aside from the slash marks left at each scene-"

"Which ties these places to the monster that Ms. Tucker came in contact with." Kat stated.

"...Yes. Not only that, but all areas attacked by the monster or monsters are in some way serviced by Pride Industries." Henry explained, giving Kat a knowing look.

The female smiled, "So me trying to speak to a Leonard wasn't the wrong move. I just wasn't speaking to the right one."

With that in mind, Kay started her car before driving off towards the Pride Industries building.

Underneath the ground, an army of humanoid and monsterous beings kneeled in front of a throne that was clearly made of rocks. More creatures stood within the multiple craters that lined the walls, chanting and roaring as the sound echoed off of the walls. At the front of the kneeling crowd were four men dressed in colorful outfits that stood out in comparison to the monochrome rags that everyone else was in. Their outfits were mainly black with another color that covered the left side of their upper body.

The brown haired man with the green variation looked up, his eyes scanning the area.

"Where is he?" the man whispered.

The man to his left with the teal variation sighed, "Ease yourself Iando. Let the master take his time."

"That's easy for you to say Teron. You've always been the one with the most patience." Iando replied before turning to the darkskinned man to his right in purple, "What about you, Ouvo?"

Ouvo raised his head slightly, "Even if I shared your sense of urgence, I'd never say such a thing so openly."

The three then heard a quiet chuckle. Turning to the man at the end of their row, they watched his muscular frame as he looked at them.

"Ouvo forgot to mention that I'd be the one sent after you if you insulted our leader." he said, resting his hand on the maroon side of his sleeveless top.

Iando rolled his eyes, "We get in, Tyorv. You're the master's attack dog."

"If by 'attack dog' you mean 'most successful ally', then yes, I am." Tyorv responded with a confident smirk.

Not long after the conversation shared by the four men, a silence fell on all present as a new man entered the area. The fairskinned man in question wore a white and crimson top with the same black pants and boots as everyone else. Unlike the others, the armor plates on his outfit were golden. He wore a scowl as he looked over the crowd in front of him with his dark eyes. He took a seat on the rocky throne and crossed his legs.

"Rise." he said simply.

The kneeling crowd stood without hesitation, looking upon their leader in anticipation of his next command. They all waited with bated breaths as their leader said nothing, simply looking over all present.

"My fellow Sauriens," the man called out, "Our attempts to stealthily attack the surface world and buildings assisted by Pride Industries have proven to be fruitless. Our precious Fearsaurs have continuously fallen to this armored vigilante. With that in mind, I believe it is time that some of you ventured to the surface for assistance."

There was silence again after this as those in attendance started to put together what this meant. The leader looked among his people, an understanding expression lining his face.

"I realize the weight of what I am asking you to do. I am asking you all to risk your lives in ways I never have before. I know the idea of never returning home fears you. I will not look down upon you for feeling this way. If there was any other option available at this moment, I'd take it. As it stands, this is the best I have for now."

Then there was silence again. No one was sure on how to react to the request of their king. While attacking humanity and making them suffer was important, none truly knew if it was worth their lives. All of a sudden, a voice rang out among the crowd.

"I'll do it, Lord Kylan!"

Looking among themselves, the voice was revealed to have come from a rather large man with spiked hair.

"I understand the dangers, but there is no denying that this vigilante needs to be dealt with if our plan is to continue. For that reason," the man explained, making his way to the feet of Kylan's throne and bowing.

"I will serve you. How ths affects me is ultimately unimportant in relation to our collective goal."

Kylan slightly tilted his head, "Are you sure of this Cerix? What you are about to volunteer for likely has no return in sight."

Cerix made eye contact with his leader, a look of pure determination lining his face.

"I am sure of this, my king."

Remaining stoic, Kylan turned his attention to the four men at the front of the crowd.

"Teron, it's time." he said.

Teron approached the side of his leader's throne and retrieved a rectangular device with a hook at the end. The device was mostly black with grey covering the tip and hook. There was also a line running down the center that seemed to be translucent. The crowd and the creatures along the walls watched intently as Teron handed the device over to Cerix.

Cerix stared at the device for a few seconds before turning to his leader again, "I will not disappoint you, my king." he said before plunging the grey tip of the device into his chest.

The grey parts of the device suddenly became a vibrant blue as Cerix's body began to shift. Blue scales grew atop his skin as his overall body gained in mass and the device was absorbed into his body. His clothes ripped apart due to his growth and a tail emerged, lined with the same blue scales as the rest of his body. His mouth shifted into a beak-like structure as his nose shrunk until there were only two nostrils visible. As his eyes turned completely black, three horns sprouted from his forhead and nose. His transformation finished, Cerix dropped to one knee, causing a slight rumble as he did so.

Stepping forward, Kylan watched his former subordinate closely.

"Are you still with us, Cerix?" he asked.

The triceratops creature looked up at Kylan and roared, bowing its head afterwards. Kylan smiled before turning to his subjects, gesturing towards Cerix's changed body.

"Cerix will be the first of his kind to infiltrate the land above and will take care of our nuisance once and for all." Kylan stated, preparing to take in the adulation of the crowd.

Upon entering the Pride Industries lobby, Kat was hit by a wave of nostalgia. She hadn't been inside of the building in a few years at this point and the layout of the area had remained mostly unchanged. The lobby strongly used the silver, white, and sky blue color scheme that the outside of the building used. Looking towards the front desk, Kat noticed that the receptionist had changed. A position that once belonged to an older woman who always kept a smile on her face when addressing visitors was now filled by a woman around Kat's age. Her dark brown hair was pulled back into a ponytail and she had a small smile on her freckled face. The nametag on the left side of her chest read 'Cindy'.

"Welcome to Pride Industries. How may I help you today?" Cindy asked.

Kat took some steps forward before responding, "Good afternoon. My name is Karthrine Stark," she then gestured to Henry behind her, "and this is Henry Jericho. I was hoping that we could speak with Jennifer Leonard."

Cindy slightly tilted her head to the side, "Is Ms. Leonard expecting you by any chance?" she asked.

"No, but I was hoping we could still speak to her. We're here to interview her about the attacks on businesses related to Pride Industries." Kat explained.

At this, Cindy's jaw tightened. Kat could tell that something about her comment struck a nerve.

"I'm sorry, but if you do not have a scheduled appointment with Ms. Leonard, I cannot let you meet her."

Henry stepped forward, "I promise that we'll be quick. It's just a few questions."

Cindy pressed her lips together briefly before responding.

"Again, I can only let you two speak to Ms. Leonard if you scheduled an appointment. My apologies, but I can't let you speak to her."

Kat sighed deeply before hearing the nearby elevator chime. When the doors opened, two dark haired individuals stepped out into the lobby. The female was dressed in a grey business suit while the male next to her was dressed more casually in a black hooded jacket and tight blue jeans. Kat immediately recognized them as Jennifer Leonard and her younger brother Zach. Kat then proceeded to share another look with Cindy, who seemed to be considering what to do next.

With a heavy sigh, Cindy simply gestured her head towards the siblings. Kat gave the woman a small smile before thanking her and walking in the direction of the two Leonards. Zach noticed her first.

"Do my eyes deceive me? Kat?"

Her smile only widened.

"The one and only. It's nice to see you too, Z." she replied.

Silence briefly followed before Kat turned to Jennifer.

"Missed you too Jen." she stated before opening her arms for a hug.

Jennifer, or Jen, accepted the hug before holding Kat by the shoulders.

"It's been a while Kat. You're looking good, right Zach?" Jen said teasingly.

Zach chuckled, but gave no verbal response. Kat didn't mind it though; it was probably for the best that he didn't say anything. She wouldn't get distracted by the younger male Leonard in these circumstances. She then focused on Jen once again.

"I didn't mean to interrupt anything, but I had a few questions that I wanted to ask you."

Jen chuckled, "Always after a story, huh? My dad has been ranting about your constant questions recently."

Kat's eyes slightly lowered, "I was just chasing leads is all. I don't try to intentionally bother him."

"You're fine Kat. You also aren't interrupting anything. Zach was just on the way out." Jen replied.

Zach nodded before gently hitting Kat in the shoulder, "Besides, I doubt our convos would stop you from getting to the bottom of your story. You've always had a huge drive for getting information. More than me anyway."

Zach then looked at his watch, his eyes widening, "Crap, I gotta get going." he then turned to his sister, "I'll see you later sis."

Giving Jen a hug, Zach then placed his hand on Kat's shoulder, "We should go hang out sometime. We haven't had a chance since college."

Kat nodded with a smile, "Deal. Now you get out of here. I thought you'd get out of the habit of running late by now." she said.

Zach laughed in response before starting to walk off backwards, "No such luck." he said, giving the two women a lazy salute before turning around and walking out of the front door.

Kat and Jen shook their heads as Kat spoke, "He really hasn't changed much."

"Nope, but he's still my loveable little brother, so it's fine with me." Jen replied, "Anyway, you had some questions?"

"Yes," Kat said before gesturing Henry over, "I'm not sure what your dad told you about my investigation."

Jen looked up in thought, "I think something about attacks in the city? Truth be told, I tend to block out what he says when he rants."

Kat chuckled, "Well, me and my partner Henry here are chasing leads on the alleged monster attacks happening in the city."

Henry then spoke up, "What we came to realise is that the attacks seem to be exclusive to areas and businesses that have heavy connections to your company."

Jen's face portrayed no reaction as she responded, "I figured that was the case. I don't really believe in coincidences. Either way, I have no information about these attacks and I definitely don't know anything about monsters."

Kat's eyes slightly squinted, "Are you sure? Do you have any idea as to why these attacks are targeted at your company's ventures?"

Jen sighed and rubbed her brow, "The best answer I could give is that it may be a rival company that my father might have pissed off, but they'd probably go directly for this place. I have no idea as to why this company's other partners and projects would be attacked. It seems a bit extra to me."

Kat didn't say anything at first, but eventually spoke, "Well, if you remember anything important, feel free to call me. The quicker we can get to the bottom of this, the sooner we can end it."

"Will do." Jen replied simply before looking towards the elevator, "As much as I would love to catch up right now, I have some business to attend to. The life of a company president is never calm."

Kat chuckled, "Right. I'll see you later then."

Sharing another hug, the two women went their separate ways. Outside, Kat and Henry entered their car and drove off.

"You think she's hiding something, right?" Henry asked as the two sat down.

After leaving Pride Industries, the two journalists visited their favorite cafe. As they ordered their food, Henry noticed Kat's pensive expression.

"Well, did you see the way she responded to us once we explained ourselves? She had no reaction at first. You'd think she'd be shocked, or at least give us some kind of information to follow up with. Instead, she kinda pushed us out the door." Kat stated, sighing.

Henry nodded, "What do you think she's hiding then?"

Kat leaned forward, interlocking her fingers, "She definitely knows more than she's letting on. Maybe she does know why the attacks are happening, but is keeping her cards close to her chest."

"Hmm. Do you think she's involved?" Henry asked.

Kat bit the inside of her cheek, "My gut tells me she's not. I just don't see Jen damaging her own company's stock. Unless this is all to showcase her company as heroes in the end."

Henry heard some kind of commotion happening nearby, but decided to focus on the conversation, "I'm not saying she's set this up, but maybe Jen wants to limit the amount of allies and projects Pride is involved with? There would be less things to worry about in the long run."

The sounds got louder. Kat paid no mind to it as well, "Sure, but that could backfire so hard on her if that was the case. We're talking lawsuits and potential jail time if she's involved. Pride might be forced to shut down as well."

Now that the sounds were closer, both realized that the sounds were screams. Before they could turn to look at the cause, they saw people running. Kat stood up first and looked to the source of the issue. It was then that she saw a blue creature flanked by skinnier beings. They all looked to be humanoid reptiles with the blue one in the center having three horns on its head. By this point, Henry was also looking at the creatures.

"I think we found our monsters." he said before grabbing Kat's arm and dragging her away.

The two journalists ran alongside the crowd, eventually ducking into an alleyway in order to keep watching the events. Kat pulled out her phone and began recording the monsters.

Henry looked on in confusion, "I think we should keep running Kat." he said.

Kat shook her head, "We need this for evidence."

Henry got ready to argue further, but was silenced by the sound of a motorcycle. Keeping their eyes forward, Kat and Henry saw a red motorcycle roll into view. Kat immediately took notice of the dinosaur head on the front of the bike and the claws attached to the sides of the front wheel. The rider was dressed in a hoodie and a pair of jeans while the red and black helmet hid their face. Kat looked at her phone to make sure she was still recording before focusing on the view before her once again.

The rider of the motorcycle removed their helmet to reveal Zach as the cyclist. He surveyed the group of creatures in front of him before smirking.

"You know, you guys interrupted a job interview." he joked, placing his motorcycle helmet on the top of his motorcycle, unknowingly revealing his face to the still hiding Kat and Henry. Kat stopped herself from shouting his name, but her eyes widened significantly.

Turning back to the monsters, Zach stood firm, "So, I guess you're here to fight?"

All he received was a roar in response from the triceratops monster. Afterwards, he chuckled.

"Fine. Let's get this over with." Zach stated as he turned the dial on the face of his watch. Immediately afterwards, a strange black, silver, and gold device appeared in front of him. Grabbing it, he held the back of it to his waist, sending out a silver band to wrap around it.

"Sauria Driver!" announced a voice coming from the belt.

Digging into the pocket of his hoodie, Zach then pulled out a small rectangular device that was colored red and looked similar to a flash drive. He then inserted it into a hole on the top of the Sauria Driver, holding his right arm diagonally over his chest.

"Rex!" announced the Driver, the center orb lighting up red.

As a looping electronic beat played, Zach swung his arms in front of him until his right hand was gripping a silver handle on the right side of the driver and his left forearm was held over his chest diagonally. He then splayed out his fingers and curled them, forming a claw.

"Triassic Armor, activate!" Zach shouted before pushing the lever on the Sauria Driver forward.

"Dinorise!"

As Zach stood there, a gray and black suit with white and silver parts wrapped around his body. He then stood straight with his arms to the side as a red holographic T-rex appeared behind him. The hologram then split apart and hovered around Zach as red streams of code attached them to his suit.

"Preparing! Roaring! Attacking! Battling Rex!" the Sauria Driver announced as red and silver armor attached to Zach's body. When all the armor was in place, the eyes and forehead gem then turned green.

Upon seeing the suited young man, the monsters let out hisses and backed away slightly. Meanwhile, Kat and Henry looked on with their mouths hanging open.

"What?!" they exclaimed simultaneously.

Not hearing the two, Zach chuckled at the monsters, "So," he said before getting into a battle stance, "let's get wild!"

With a roar, the triceratops monster ordered the thinner monsters to attack the human in front of them. The first monster ended up getting its punch blocked before getting punched in the ribs as another monster tried to slash Zach with its claws. Zach threw the first monster in the way before kicking both away and turning to the third. He hit it square in the gut, following up with a back elbow and a kick to the side of the head. Shooting forward, Zach grabbed two more monsters and slammed them on their backs. Giving another an uppercut, Zach rubbed his hands together and extended his right arm. In a red stream of data, a sword appeared in Zach's hand.

"Rex Triassaber!" the sword announced as Zach swung the sword to his left side.

From where she sat, Kat saw that the handle and hilt of the sword were mostly red with a golden circle in the center of the hilt. The blade was single-edged and silver with a green line running up the back half of it. There was also a silver section on the back of the hilt.

Zach rushed forward and slashed two monsters on the way before using his sword to block the arms of three more monsters. Shoving their arms aside, Zach slashed one across the back and turned to face all eleven. He then removed the red flash drive from the Sauria Driver.

"Let's wrap this up, yeah?" he said before pushing the flash drive into the port on the back of the sword. The center orb lit up in multiple colors as the sounds of T-rex roars came from the sword. Zack then pulled the green trigger on the sword.

"Rex! Triassic Slash!" the Triassaber announced as Zach sent a wave of red energy towards the monsters. When the wave connected, it slashed the bodies of the monsters and left sparks afterwards. When all eleven fell, they then exploded into a wall of fire. Nearby, Kat and Henry moved back from the large explosion, watching the fire die down and reveal Zach once again, now facing the triceratops monster.

The Triassaber vanished in a flash of data as Zach placed the flash drive back in the driver and pointed at the triceratops monster.

"You," he said before beckoning it forward with his hand, "come on."

The triceratops beast roared again and ruched forward head-first. Not backing down, Zach rolled his shoulder and ran forward. As the two fighters got closer, Zach somersaulted over his enemy, landing into a roll. The triceratops beast stopped charging and turned around to rush at Zach again. Waiting until it was close, Zach dipped down and swept the legs of his enemy, sending the creature rolling on the ground. As the creature got back to its feet, Zach connected with a side kick followed by two punches and a spinning back kick. The monster rolled across the pavement as Zach stretched and shook his body. Grabbing the handle on the driver, Zach pushed it forward, causing the center of the driver to shine brightly once again.

Zach slapped his right leg and the armor on his shin and his foot lit up in red. Crouching slightly, Zach waited for his enemy to rise before jumping several feet into the air. The triceratops followed Zach with its eyes as Kat and Henry did the same. Kat raised her phone just in time to catch Zach's descent. As he fell faster, Zach shot his right leg forward and a hologram of a T-rex foot appeared. He then began letting out a shout as the Sauria Driver made another sound.

"Battling Rex! Triassic Finish!"

Letting out yet another roar, the triceratops beast threw its head forward, attempting to counter the falling human with its own horns. Despite this, Zach's kick broke the beast's horn before his kick pierced the beast's body. Landing on the other side behind the creature, Zach kept still as it stumbled around, sparks flying off of its body.

"You're extinct." Zach said before the beast then fell over, exploding once it touched the ground.

Finally standing, Zach let out a sigh as he walked over to where the beast exploded. Once he stepped past the smoke lingering around the area, Zach picked up the black and blue flash drive that the creature used to transform. Examining it briefly, Zach tossed it in the air and caught it again.

"Gotta get this back to sis." Zach stated as he removed the red flash drive from the Sauria Driver and pushed the lever on it forward. Afterwards, the armor Zach now wore fell off of him and turned back into data. Once the data went into the flash drive, Zach took the time to stretch his arms above his head.

Placing both flash drives into his jacket pocket, Zach then turned the dial on his watch again, causing the Sauria Driver to disappear. Taking a deep breath, he walked over to the T-rex motorcycle, but stopped abruptly once he saw a glimmer in the distance. Squinting his eyes to get a better look, Zach could make out two figures in the nearby alleyway.

Giving an annoyed look, Zach straightened his posture, "Whoever's there, come out." he demanded.

Silence followed before the two figures stepped out into the open. Zach's eyes widened once he realized one of the two people.

"Kat?"

To be continued…

A/N: So ends the first chapter of Power Rider Triassic. This has been a *long* time coming. As I said at the start, this is the third time I've tried to start this story, but never in this way. Long story short, I went back on some of my Kamen Rider concepts and revised them heavily. The first change I made was the name as you can see. For anyone unaware, Power Rider was a trademark filed by Saban back when it owned the Power Rangers brand in 2011. While there isn't any concrete information on what this would of been outside of being live-action, "Rider" being in the title of the trademark naturally pointed to it being a Kamen Rider adaption. Considering the timing too, the fact that Saban was adapting Shinkenger at the time means they had access to the Decade crossover footage. Put two and two together and I think the picture becomes somewhat clearer. They later abandoned the trademark in 2014.

All that out of the way, I chose the name Power Rider here to differentiate it more from my other rider concepts and stories. That didn't make writing this easy however. To be transparent, I've been working on this since early November of 2023 and I'm only now finishing it just under 7 months later. Honestly, there were spouts of writer's block as well as other stuff happening in life that just took me away from getting this done. Nothing bad, mind you, just stuff. With this now out, here's the plan: I will try writing this alongside Nexus Beasts and to keep things even, I will work on chapter two by itself before making the third chapter of both stories. As such, the plan is to upload these side by side going forward, but we shall see. As for what this means when it comes to Zikanger and Byte, I will keep those up, but I make no promises on further updates. Right now, this and Nexus Beasts will be my main focus. With that said:

If you liked this story, don't forget to review, follow, and maybe even favorite this story. Even if you didn't like it, try leaving me some constructive criticism to tell me how I can make the story better (this extends to the people who may like this story as well).

Till Next Time, Happy Reading Everyone and Stay safe in these trying times ~ TL Savage1113 ;-)
