CHAPTER II
I was starting to take in the atmosphere around me. The trees, the grass, the swaying lanterns. I knew it was all a ruse, made of glass but still, I couldn't help but being a little intrigued. I asked m3ssi4h about why everything is made of glass. "Long ago, the god Potiris created a great sand timer that would flow through all 4 worlds and supply them with infinite glass. We used this glass to build up civilizations. There are 4 elements, Light, Dark, Digital, and Ghost. Each one wanted to use soul magic for different reasons and they formed into new elements. Light was designed for healing, Dark was made for preservation, Digital was made for education, and Ghost was made for secrecy. At first there was harmony but then an unknown entity known as "The Willows" began infecting bugs and causing havoc." It was a lot to take in, but I decided to just relax because we had almost reached The World Of Light.
As soon as we arrived, I couldn't believe my eyes. Lanterns everywhere and bugs illuminating a beautiful cavern with little huts carved into the wall. "This isn't even the main city!" m3ssi4h exclaimed. "Those bugs are Lantos, they formed a majority of The World Of Light before more bugs came along they are the main source of illumination, even working like candles in lanterns! They love to get petted and could maybe even be your pet if one likes you!" I pet one and it immediately hops on my shoulder. "Wow, already!? mine took two weeks of petting to hop on my shoulder, you're a natural! Anyways, let's got to the city, i haven't seen my lantern in forever! Oh yeah, as the Demi God of light, i own a lantern that can heal people who have been wounded physically or mentally. If that lantern were to break... I don't even wanna think of it." m3ssi4h says with a hint of sadness. "ruuurururururh!" my little Lanto says. as we walk down The World Of Light's breathtaking scenery. "Here we are! This is The Illuminated City and is the main commerce hub where most bugs live. I will leave you alone to have fun, over there is a vacant house you can claim. That's the Gacha Station where you can win special prizes in return for Shards, this world's currency and a little luck, have fun!" m3ssi4h gleefully says. I walk over to my new house and after pulling a lever, a house key is dispensed with the number 312 engraved inside it which i realize is only the number on the door. I insert the key and the door unlocks with a *click!*. I decide to make myself at home and realize there's only a bed and a small end table and that I will need to pay for more furniture using "Shards". I check my cloak and realize I already have a few from the bugs I have been slaying and I can exchange them for "Gacha Pons" that will give new furniture and items to help me and a special prize of a new weapon called a "Sword". I decide to insert 25 Shards and watch a little glass token fall down hitting pegs on its way changing its trajectory until it falls in a spot labeled "Chest". I have a little token with the word "CHEST" engraved on it and I realize if I walk up to one of the guards I can exchange it for an actual chest. "You come to exchange a Gacha Pon? Just give me a moment while I search the back." The guard fumbles around for a moment until he comes out dragging a chest and silently pushes it over to me. I slowly lug it over to my little hut and place it beside my bed. I decide this has been a fulfilling day and fall asleep.
"Wake up! Wake up! I have something to show you!" m3ssi4h had just awakened me and was flailing around a sword like a maniac. "I won a sword for you! I know it's not much but I know you don't have enough Shards to win win on your own so here you go!" she dropped a sword in my chest and promptly said "Let's go out exploring. I'm bored and running out of Shards so c'mon!" I get out of bed and take my sword, leaving my dagger behind and follow behind them. "The World Of Light never really developed a merchant system because we loved Gacha so much we got addicted to it and couldn't stop, anyways, behind that passage is an area not civilized and full of infected bugs, lets go!" They forcefully drag me along behind the passage where we become killing machines. With my new sword, I can sweep across multiple enemies and kill them in one strike. I felt very satisfied and knew this was where i belonged, in this new, strange world.
