Well, it's finally time. I never thought I'd make it to the end of this, but here we are. It's been an amazing journey, and I cannot stress how thankful I am for all of you for tuning in and reading these chapters. I had so much fun making this story, from just an idea in my head to something much bigger. Thank you all so much for the support over these years, I cannot wait for what's in store for the future.
However, I want to say a few things. First off, the sequel story to Ice Princess will be on a temporary indefinite hiatus due to me graduating high school next month, as well as college stuff, so I'll barely have any time to work on it. Secondly, the collab between me and ReaderandWriter9000 is still happening, but it'll be published less often due to college and other things. Finally, I just want to say thank you to everyone who read and reviewed this story. You all mean so much to me, and I cannot express my gratitude for it. But with that out of the way, let's wrap this story up!
Chapter 31: The Start of Something New (FINALE)
"Molly!"
"Molly!"
"Please Molly!"
"Wake up sis!"
"We need you Molly!"
"You must wake up!"
"Come on, Princess."
"Please, wake up, Mom!"
Molly opened her eyes after hearing the various voices in her head, including one she had never heard before, especially one calling her "Mom". She wondered where she was, and began looking around her to figure out her location. She notices a bunch of equipment around her, but also bubbles forming around her. She then realized she was in some kind of tube filled with water. Luckily, whoever put her in it gave her a breathing utensil to prevent her from drowning. Molly freaked out, and used her powers to freeze the glass and break it, causing the water to spill everywhere, and Molly too. She took off the mask and tried to find an exit. Some snails and lobsters entered the room to the panicked Molly, startling her.
"W-Who are you people? Where am I?" Molly said to them, preparing to attack.
"Calm down, dear! You're not in any danger. You're just in a hospital," the snail doctor told Molly.
"The hospital?" Molly said, dropping her attack.
"That's right, you were brought here after you passed out after your victory against Pyros. We've been monitoring you ever since," one of the doctors said. Molly took a sigh of relief, glad that she wasn't trapped somewhere.
"Wait, what about my friends? I have to make sure they're okay," Molly said.
"Not so fast Molly, we still have to do some checkups to make sure you're all better, since you've been asleep for a while," the snail doctor told her.
"A while? How long was I out for?" Molly asked.
"One month."
'A month?! I was out for that long?" Molly said, shocked. She felt her hair, which had grown back to its original size after a while.
"That's right. It seemed like your body needed a long recovery after being healed back to life, and the amount of energy wasted did a lot on you. The other doctors will call your family to let them know you're awake. In the meantime, why don't you hop up here so we can do some checkups?" the snail doctor told her. The doctors checked on Molly's health, from her blood pressure to her reflexes, to even her powers itself. After a while, the doctors find that Molly is all better, she allows her to leave, where she finds her family waiting for her outside.
"OH MY LITTLE GIRL!" Molly's mother shouted, hugging the pink-haired girl tightly.
"M-Mom! I m-m-missed you too, but too t-tight!" Molly murmured.
"OH! Sorry sweetie!" She said, loosening her grip.
"Hey sweetie," her dad came up to her.
"Dad!" Molly ran up to hug him. Mia soon joined the hug as well.
"I missed you big sis! I thought you died again!" Mia exclaimed.
"I missed you too little sis, I'm just glad you're all okay," Molly said to her before Mason gave her a noogie on the head.
"Glad to see you're not dead again," Mason said jokingly.
"I missed you too brother," Molly said. The two gave each other a hug before having a sibling chat.
"Thank you so much for looking after her, Dr. Chan," her mother thanked the snail doctor.
"No problem, Mrs. Gentilella! It's the least I could do for your daughter. Make sure to bring her back if she starts having problems," Dr. Chan said as the Gentilella family left the hospital. On their car ride home, Molly decided to ask some questions.
"So what happened while I was out? Did anything bad happen?" Molly asked.
"A lot of things happened, dear. For starters, rebuilding the town was relatively easy, since Pyros didn't destroy that many buildings. You'd think him being an evil overlord would mean mass destruction, but he left a fair amount of buildings and houses standing. Everything was quickly rebuilt, and BubbleTucky is almost finished. Everyone should be returning to their regular lives soon," her mother explained to her.
"Well that's great to her," Molly said.
"Oh, and school will be starting up again in about two weeks, for all of you," her mom added, which brought some dismay to all three siblings.
"Wait, what about my friends? Are they okay?" Molly asked.
"Your friends are doing fine, Molly. They all returned to their families and are recovering from their experience. I'm sure they'll be excited to see you again," her dad told her. Molly took a sigh of relief that her friends were okay, but soon Mia had something to say.
"Hey sis, I'm sorry you missed your birthday," Mia told her. Molly smiled at this.
"Oh, it's fine, Mia, it wasn't as important as what was really going on," Molly replied to her.
"Okay, but what about your sur-"
"SOOO, what are you going to do now that you're all better sis?" Mason interrupted Mia, giving her a glare.
"Hmm, I think I'll relax for a little bit, I still feel a little sore from sleeping all that time, but maybe I'll see if the others want to hang out later too," Molly said.
Meanwhile, we come to Gil's house, where the rest of the guppies are hanging out at. They were all sitting in the living room, seemingly planning something special. Gil then walked in, looking excited about something.
"Guys! I got good news!" Gil exclaimed.
"What is it Gil?" Goby asked his friend.
"Molly's brother just texted me. He said that Molly's finally awake and that she's on her way home now!" Gil announced, which got everyone else excited.
"Bout time! Now we can actually get this party started!" Deema said.
"Deema, it's supposed to be a surprise party for Molly," Oona told her. That's right, the guppies, and seemingly everyone else were planning a surprise birthday party for Molly, and they were all together to discuss the planning.
"Oh right, I forgot, I got too excited about partying," Deema said. Everyone laughed.
"So how are we going to keep Molly from finding out about her party?" Zooli asked. It was a tough question, as they didn't have much time to keep Molly away from the party. They all gave various ideas, some higher than others, but they weren't a good way to keep Molly from finding out.
"I have an idea!" Gil exclaimed. The rest turned to listen to the blue-haired guppy. "How about you girls take Molly on one of your 'girls night out', while the rest of us stay here to help with the party?" Gil suggested.
"Huh, I…actually like the sound of that. Good idea Gil!" Deema applauded his idea.
"I guess it could be fun, just the four of us," Oona added.
"Yeah, I guess that works out," Zooli said.
"Then it's settled. I'll call Molly's brother and let him know of the plan," Gil said.
Molly was in her room, sitting at her desk, writing in some kind of book. She's very focused on what she is writing.
"Dear Diary, I may just be the luckiest and unluckiest person in the entire world. I find out I have powers I didn't even know I had, and then I'm flung into a new home to fight an evil overlord. I even died, but I met the first Ice Princess, who helped me win. Then I hear these voices telling me to wake up, even one calling me 'Mom', which was very weird. Turns out I was out cold for an entire month, crazy right? I'm feeling better now, and I might go see if the other guppies want to hang out. I missed them all so much, especially Gilly, I can't wait to see him…I think I'm getting too into myself hehehe," Molly wrote down in her diary, sighing. She then heard a knock at her door, prompting her to close her diary quickly. "Come in!" she said. Her mother came through the door.
"Hey sweetie, how are you feeling?" Her mom asked her.
'I'm doing fine, Mom. What's up?" Molly replied.
"Your friends are coming over to hang out with you, specifically the girls, so I need you to get dressed for the time," her mother explained.
"Really? Okay, I'll be ready in a few," Molly said. Her mother smiled and left the room. Molly was excited, but also a little bummed. "I was hoping Gilly would see me, but I'm fine with this. Besides, it'll be nice to have some fun time with the girls," she said to herself.
After about 10 minutes, Molly finished dressing herself and getting cleaned up. She was wearing a white shirt with a flower pattern on it, as well as a blue mini shirt around her white shirt. She had her necklace on and a pair of red sunglasses. Molly was finishing up her makeup when her mom came to talk to her.
"Hey sweetie, are you done yet?" Her mom asked her.
"Just about done, what do you want?" Molly said.
"Oh, I'm just giving you 100 dollars for your trip, since I know you girls like to shop a lot," she explained, handing the money to Molly.
"Mom, you don't have to give me this much. This is a lot of money, even for this occasion," Molly said, feeling guilty.
"I know, I know, I just want to give it to you in case you want to get something you want or need, and for food as well, that's all," Molly's mom told her.
"Oh…well, thank you," Molly said, giving her mom a hug. Just then, they heard the doorbell ring.
"That's probably them, you should go answer it," her mom told Molly. She ran downstairs and opened the front door, where Deema, Oona, and Zooli were waiting for her.
"Molly!" They all shouted, hugging their friend.
"Hey girls, it's so good to see you all again! You all look amazing!" Molly greeted her friends, who were all dressed for the occasion. Deema was wearing a red shirt with an orange skirt. She also was wearing blue sunglasses and an orange purse. Oona had a white dress with a black polka-dot pattern and black skirt as well as some pink flower earrings. Zooli was wearing a magenta tank-top and brown shorts, and had a hat with a fish logo on it.
"Hey girls! It's so good to see you all again! You all look so pretty," Molly greeted her friends.
"Good to see your not dead, Molls," Deema joked with her.
"It really is nice to have you back, friend," Oona said.
"Soo…what exactly are we going to do? Where would we go?" Zooli asked. That was something the other two girls did not think through before going along with the plan. They all stood there, thinking of a place to go first, when someone got a brilliant idea.
"Oooh! I got a place! How about BubbleTucky Amusement park? I heard they just reopened yesterday, and I've been dying to try out their new rides!" Deema suggested.
"That sounds like fun!" Molly agreed with her.
"Yeah, I actually like that idea," Zooli added.
"It's fine…I guess," Oona said nervously.
"Then it's settled! We're going to the amusement park!" Deema exclaimed. However, someone brought up a question.
"Um, Deema? There's one problem," Oona said.
"What's that?"
"How are we going to get there? It's miles away from here!" Oona asked.
"Oh, don't worry, I got that covered. Just….hang on tight," Molly said, winking.
At the amusement park, there were people running around, screaming on roller coasters, and having snacks and an overall great time. Pretty soon, the guppy girls land in the park, riding with Molly on an ice cloud she created. They landed in the middle of the park.
"That. Was. AWESOME!" Deema shouted, filled with energy along the ride.
"I'll be honest, I had no idea you could do that, Molly," Zooli said as she helped Oona get off, who was shaking.
"Please, tell us beforehand you can fly before sending us in the air," Oona scolded the pink-haired guppy.
"Hehe, sorry Oona," Molly apologized. "Well, we're here now, so now what?"
"Isn't it obvious? Let's go on some rides!" Deema said.
They all banded together to go on the many rides at BubbleTucky Theme Park. They went on almost every ride, from the extreme roller coasters to the kid rides. They even went on the water rides, with proper clothing of course. They stopped to have some snacks as a break from going on multiple rides for multiple hours. Meanwhile, we come back to the boys, who, along with the rest of town, were working on setting up Molly's surprise birthday party. While Nonny and Cryo were working on the food arrangements, Goby notices that Gil is looking rather down, so he decides to approach him.
"Hey man, you alright?" Goby asks his friend.
"I'm fine. It's just that I'm thinking about Molly," Gil told him. "I'm having feelings about her, but I'm too nervous how she'll react."
"Gil, you and Molly have been close since preschool, and if I'm being totally honest, I'm pretty sure she feels the same way about you. Why don't you ask her after the party's over?" Goby suggested to Gil.
"No, I want it to be special, she deserves it. But I'm not sure how to do it," Gil said, putting his face on the table. Goby then got an idea, whispering something in Gil's ear.
We come back to the girls, who have spent hours at the amusement park going on every ride. And when I say every ride, I mean every ride. They were all exhausted from the constant running around…except Deema, who was still full of energy.
"Alright, which ride should we go on next?" Deema said enthusiastically.
"Deema, it's been several hours, and we've been on every ride here," Molly told her.
"I feel like I'm about to collapse and die from all this running, can we please do something else?" Oona said, tired of running around.
"Ugh, fine, if you say so. But where would we even go now?" Deema asked them.
"I know a good place where we could go for some relaxation time," Zooli stepped in. We cut to the hot springs, the same place Zooli went to while she was looking for Cryo. The girls get into their outfits, and they entered the hot water, which felt really good after being in the cold for so long
"You were right Zooli, this feels amazing!" Molly said, taking in the hot water.
"Yeah, I like it here," Oona added.
"I told you guys, this places rocks," Zooli said, sitting down in the water.
"Girl, you shoulda told us about this place earlier. I would come here every day!" Deema exclaimed. She was having the best time out of them all.
"Y'know, it's nice to finally have some peace after all this time of terror and fighting. I missed the times where all of us would hang out together, but now we have this world where almost anything can happen, and frankly, I'm scared," Molly said.
"What do you mean, Molly?" Deema wondered.
"It's just that, when I briefly died, it felt like everything was slipping away. Like I was being dragged down to somewhere I didn't want to go, and that was scary. But I'm so lucky I had friends like you girls to save me. I'm just wondering what the future has in store for me, and if that future will be nice," Molly explained, but noticed everyone was looking at her weirdly. She blushed in embarrassment.
"Yeah, I feel the same way. After my experiences in BlizzardTucky, it felt like everything was going against me. From getting part of my tail cut off, being mind controlled, to having to fight multiple times, it's like the world is telling me something, and that I have to follow that path," Oona explained to the others.
"Personally, I feel like the future holds bright for us. We've managed to stay friends despite all the things we've come across, including literal death and injuries! I expected we'd all stop being friends during our time there, but we managed to hold on, and if we can do that, then we can do anything!" Deema added on.
"I agree. Ever since I joined you guys, I felt like I had a sense of belonging, unlike my old school. I've had so many fun adventures with you guys, and I never got the chance to say thank you," Zooli said.
"This is the life I missed. Just me hanging out…with…my friends…," Molly said, slowly falling underwater. Luckily, Oona managed to pull her out. "Sorry, I was too immersed in the warm water," Molly said. The girls laughed. After a little while, they all got out and dried off. The girls then decided to take Molly to the shopping mall so they could do some clothes shopping.
"Why do we need to go shopping for clothes again? I already have plenty," Molly asked the girls.
"Just in case you ever feel the need to wear something new, or get some new fancy dresses," Deema answered with a fancy tone. "Besides, some of ours probably got destroyed in all the mayhem, so we might need some new ones."
"Hmmm alright, I guess I could use a new wardrobe," Molly said, not knowing the real reason was to get her a dress for the party. The girls take Molly into Clam Clothing, the fanciest clothing shop in town. They each decide to pick one dress they like and try it on. Deema tries on and gets a glittery orange dress with various golden sparkles. Oona bought a white dress with black and purple flowers on it, and Zooli buys a black dress.
"You all look so pretty in those!" Molly complemented her friends.
"Here, try this one on Molls!" Deema said, handing Molly a dress. Molly went into the changing room, and came out wearing a sparkly purple dress with pink glittery spots on it.
"How does it look?" Molly asked the girls.
"You look FABULOUS!" Deema exclaimed.
"You look so pretty in it!" Oona said.
"Looks good on you," Zooli added.
"Th-Thanks girls, I'll get it," Molly said, slightly blushing. She decided to purchase the dress, along with some extra jewelry with the money her mom gave her. After that, they decided to have some snacks at the snack bar, even though it was getting late outside.
"You know, this was the most fun time I've ever had. Thanks for taking me out on this trip girls, we really should do this more often," Molly thanked the girls.
"Hey no problem Molls, you deserve it after all you've done," Deema said.
"Yeah! Without you I don't know where we'd be," Oona added on.
"Honestly, I just needed a break after all the chaos we went through, but I also wanted to do it for you," Zool said. Molly smiled at the compliments, and how her friends cared for her. Just then, she received a phone call, and answered the phone.
"Hello? Yeah…alright, I'll be there soon," Molly said, hanging up.
"Who was that?" Deema asked her.
"My mom. She said I had to come home now, don't know why as it's not that late," Molly said, confused. The three girls knew what it meant. The boys finished setting up the party. Molly took the three girls back to their homes before arriving back at her house.
"Hey Mom," Molly greeted her mother.
"Hi sweetie! How was your time with the girls?" her mom asked her.
"It was really fun. We relaxed at the hot springs, went to the amusement park, and I even got this nice dress I could use in the future," Molly said, showing her mom the dress she got. "I'm just ready to relax now."
"Actually, I need you to wear that dress right now. There's a party we're going to as a family, and I want you to look your best," Molly's mom told her. Molly was confused, but listened to her mom. She put on the dress and the jewelry she got, including her necklace and a green ring she bought, as well as some sapphire earrings. Her mom walked in to check on her.
"OHHH You look so pretty!" Her mom exclaimed, hugging her daughter.
"Thanks mom, you look nice too," Molly said. Her mom was wearing a nice red dress with jewelry.
"I have to go check on your sister. Wait downstairs with your father and brother," her mom said, but someone stopped her.
"Actually wait Mom!" Molly said to her. "You're a hair stylist, right?" Molly asked her mom, who turned to look at her.
"Yes, why?"
"I was wondering if you could change my hair? I've been wanting to try a new style, and was hoping you could change it for me?" Molly asked her mother, who smiled at her.
"Of course, dear. Come with me," Her mother said, bringing Molly into her bathroom. About half an hour passed, and Molly's father, Mason and Mia were waiting downstairs. Mia was wearing a yellow dress with blue stripes, and a necklace with a green square jem. Mason had a black fancy shirt with a white tie.
"Where's Mom and Molly? It's been almost 30 minutes," Mason wondered.
"Murisa! What are you doing? We need to leave!" Their dad called to their mom.
"Just finishing up something with Molly!" Their mom replied. She came out first, and let everyone else see Molly, which surprised them. Molly's hair was completely different, being more curly and wavy now, and properly hung down from her head.
"Do you like it? I wanted to try something new," Molly asked her family.
"I love it! You look like a real princess, big sister!" Mia shouted.
"You looks beautiful sweetie," her father told her.
"Looks good on you Sis," Mason said.
"Thanks guys, I think I'll keep it this way," Molly said. "Now, let's get going so we don't miss whatever this is," she added, still unaware of the truth. When they arrived at BubbleTucky Park, the place was pitch black, barely visible.
"Where is everybody?" Molly wondered.
"Here, put this on, you'll see," Mason said, handing Molly a blindfold.
"This better not be a prank," Molly groaned, but put the blindfold on. Mason and Mia helped guide Molly to the designated area.
"Alright dear, on the count of three, take the blindfold off," her mom told her. Molly nodded in agreement. "1….2…..3!" Molly took the blindfold off, and was shocked by what she saw.
"Happy Birthday Molly!" Everyone shouted.
Molly was taken aback, processing what was going on. She was confused and bewildered at what was going on.
"Wha-What is this?" Molly asked.
"It's your birthday party sister!" Mia told her.
"My…birthday party?" Molly was surprised.
"After we heard your birthday was on the day of the battle, we felt that it wasn't fair you got to miss your 13th birthday party," Gil explained.
"So we got the entire town to help us set this up for you!" Goby added. When he meant everyone, he meant everyone. From the people the guppies encountered during their school years, to even famous people too.
"Wait, so does that mean-" Molly thought.
"Yep! We were just distracting you so that you wouldn't find out about the party," Deema told her.
"I'll admit, it wasn't easy keeping this kind of secret, but I'm glad it turned out okay!" Oona added.
"We all wanted to do it as a thank you," Nonny said.
"You were a huge help during those times, so we felt like we needed to do something for you, and this was the best thing we could do," Zooli said.
"We're all lucky we got to help with this, and to thank you for your help defeating my father," Cryo said.
Molly was feeling a multitude of emotions, ranging from happiness to remorse. She couldn't hold herself, and broke into tears of joy. She ran and hugged her friends all together, who all joined in.
"Thank you…thank you so much guys," Molly said quietly, happy that everyone did this for her.
"Alright, now that that's out of the way, what happened to your hair?!" Deema asked Molly about her hair.
"Oh, I decided that I wanted to try something new for once, since everything else had changed about me, so I wanted to do something new with my hair," Molly explained.
"I like it!"
"Looks good."
"Fabulous!"
"You look amazing!"
"It suits you."
"Looks cool on you."
"I like it." All the guppies complemented her new hair style, to which Molly smiled at.
"Let's get this party started!" Deema shouted, thus commencing Molly's birthday party. Everyone the guppies knew was there, and Molly thanked everyone she knew. There was music, food, and games to play, like bobbing for apples, pinata, which Molly hit and broke on her first try, since she has experience doing it. Even Stylee was there, and not only did she put on a special concert for Molly, she gave her her old microphone as a thank you gift for not only freeing her from Pyros's control, but for also helping her realize her own style all those years ago. Glacia and Lady Snowa soon came up to Molly with their own gift.
"What is this?" Molly asked, confused at what they had given her.
"It's two tickets for a trip to Japan. One for you, and another for an extra person you'd like to bring," Lady Snowa explained to her.
"We wanted to give you something you could use for a vacation, so we got you tickets outside the country. Use them wisely, Molly," Glacia added on.
"Thanks guys! I'll be sure to use it when I can," Molly thanked the two sisters with a hug. Just the, Gil came up to Molly.
"Hey Molly!"
"Hi Gilly! What's up?" Molly asked the boy.
"I was wondering…if you…wanted to dance with me?" Gil asked Molly nervously.
"Oh! Uhh-I-s-sure! Y-Yeah I will," Molly answered nervously too, blushing a little bit. "But, where would we go? I don't think there's enough room in the crowd," she pointed out. Gil looked around for a good spot, before seeing a perfect place.
"How about over there?" Gil pointed to a small pond near them.
"Gilly, that's a pond full of water. I just got this dress, and I'm pretty sure I don't want to get it wet," Molly told him. Gil just gave her a look that made her realize what he meant. "Ohhh, right hehehe," Molly chuckled. She went over to the body of water and froze it with a touch of her finger.
"May I have this skating dance?" Gil asked Molly, holding his hand out.
"You may," Molly replied, taking his hand as they headed onto the ice. It was a nice feeling. It was just the two of them together, ice skating peacefully. It was the first full moment they had together in a long while. Unknown to the both of them, however, they each had something they wanted to say to each other, but now wasn't the right time. Gil spun Molly around several time, and Molly spun in circles while skating around the lake. They then soon noticed a crowd forming near them.
"Gilly, everyone's watching…" Molly whispered to Gil, blushing, but Gil stopped her.
"Hey, just focus on me," Gil told her, winking. Molly took a breath and nodded her head. They each skated around the ice in patterns, and then Gil picked up and tossed Molly aside, but she used ice pillars as a jumping platform before jumping off a final one with a long jump, to which Gil caught her, paralleling their same final act in the Ballet Bowl. The crowd gave a loud applaud to the two guppies, to which they took a bow, blushing slightly.
"I can't believe we actually pulled that off," Molly said, surprised that they were able to do that dance successfully.
"Yeah, me too. That really made me tired, and hungry," Gil added. Molly giggled slightly. Someone then approached them.
"Hey guys! You have to come here!" Deema called them.
"What's up, Deema?" Molly asked the blonde girl.
"We're going to rock again!" She said, holding up their old rock and roll clothes. They were reinforced and bigger now, to match their age, which shocked the two guppies.
"Wait, you're kidding!" Molly said.
"Cmon, Molly! We have to do this! Just like old times!" Gil said as he took Molly's hand, bringing her to the backstage, where all of the other guppies were. They each had their old rock clothes on, including Zooli and Cryo, who got clothes of their own. Everyone has the same instruments as they did all that time ago. It brought back some good memories for the original six, while instigating some questions from Zooli and Cryo.
"Wait, so you guys actually put on a rock concert in kindergarten?" Cryo asked the guppies.
"Yeah, it was awesome!" Gil said. "We had all these instruments, outfits, and-h-hey! Where's my cymbal?" Gil said, looking for his missing cymbal for the drums, and Bubble Puppy popped out barking with the cymbal on his head again, startling Gil.
"Bubble Puppy!" the boy said to his dog, prompting a laugh from the group.
"Guess some things still don't change," Goby said.
"Are you two going to join us?" Molly asked Zooli and Cryo.
"I think I'll pass. I'm not that good with music, and I might panic from being on stage in front of everyone," Cryo answered.
"That's okay, and what about you, Zooli?" Molly asked her friend.
"I want to, but I'll stay with Cryo so he doesn't feel left out," Zooli replied. Cryo blushed slightly.
"Awww!" Deema and Oona said from afar.
"Alright guys, you're all set to start! It's your time to show this town how to rock!" Mr. Grouper told the six guppies.
"Alright guys, you ready to rock again?" Molly said to the others.
"Yeah!" They all shouted.
The lights outside dimmed, and smoke filled the area. The spotlights turned on, as it was showtime, as the six guppies appeared on stage.
Molly: Hello BubbleTucky! It's been a while, but we're back! Are you ready to rock again?
The crowd erupted in cheers and whistles as the guppies began their song.
Molly: I was hangin' with my guppies, Mr. G and Bubble Puppy, just going for a good time with my friends!
But then all of our lives changed, and we couldn't believe it when…
…we all made it to the end!
All: We still totally rock!
Molly: Though we be small!
All: We still totally rock!
Molly: Feel ten feet tall!
All: We still totally rock!
Molly: Makes ya jump up and down!
All: We still totally rock!
Molly: Come on and shake it while we rock this town! Rock, rock, rock! Rock and roll!
(Yeah!)
Rock, rock, rock! Rock and roll!
Molly: We faced many different obstacles, day and day, each and every one more dangerous than the last,
And the lesson that we learned that kept us like a knot
Never ever give up on your friends!
Molly: On guitar, Goby!
On cowbell, Nonny!
On drums, Gil!
On keyboard, Deema!
On tambourine, Oona!
And, I'd like to shoutout to Zooli and Cryo, who are two amazing guppies!
Cryo shyly waves until Zooli takes him and waves into the crowd, smiling happily, to which Cryo warms up a bit and waves.
And I'm Molly, and we're the Bubble Guppies! Now everybody repeat after me!
I still totally rock!
All: I still totally rock!
Molly: You still totally rock!
All: You still totally rock!
Molly: We still totally rock!
Everybody: We still totally rock!
Gil finishes the song off with a drum solo.
Molly: Thank you, we love you, thank you everyone!
The audience roared loud cheers at the guppies as they went backstage. They were feeling many different emotions after playing again, from excitement, to nostalgia, to happiness that they got to play together again. It was the first time they put on a song together in a long time, so naturally it was exciting that they got the chance to do so again.
"That was AWESOME!" Deema shouted. "We still got it after all these years!"
"I must say, even I'm surprised I can still sing well after all this," Molly joked.
"I had no idea you guys were able to play so well," Cryo said, astonished.
"Well we have been doing this since kindergarten, so we have lots of experience," Gil said.
"What?! That long?!" Cryo replied, shocked.
"Why didn't you join us, Zooli?" Oona asked Zooli.
"Well for one, I'm still not as used to this as you guys are, so I'll admit, I was a little stage frightened. And I also didn't want Cryo to feel left out," Zooli said.
"Molly! It's almost time for your cake!" Mr. Grouper called to Molly from afar.
"Oh right! I almost forgot this was my birthday party for a second," Molly chuckled.
All eight guppies left the stage to head to the main area where the food was being distributed. There was a large cake in the middle. It was a chocolate cake with strawberries and blueberries as toppings, covered in frosting. I want to get this finished quickly so I'm skipping the singing section of this lol. Molly also made a wish, but I'll get to that later. After everyone sang happy birthday to Molly and she made her wish, the party continued. Gil was eating his slice of cake when Goby bumped him and pointed to Molly, which made him remember what he wanted to do. He finished his cake and decided to walk up to Molly.
"Hey Molly!" Gil said.
"Hi Gilly! What's up?" Molly asked the boy.
"Can I bring you somewhere, private?" Gil asked her. Molly was confused, but decided to follow him. As they were leaving Goby signaled the others, clearly planning something. Gil brought Molly to a little hill overlooking the city, where they sat down on the grass.
"Gilly, what's going on? Why did you bring me here?" Molly asked Gil, confused on what was going on.
"I just wanted to spend some time with my best friend, that's all," Gil answered, making Molly blush slightly.
"Oh…o-okay then," Molly said. They both sat in silence for a few moments, making the scene feel awkward for a bit. They both clearly had something to say, but they clearly didn't want to.
"Y'know, when you briefly died, I felt like I lost the one person close to me. So I'm just glad that you're okay in the end. I wouldn't even mind if we lost, but you lived," Gil said to Molly.
"Awww Gilly," Molly said back. "I'm happy that you're okay too."
"Okay, I have something I need to say that I've been holding back for way too long now, and I just can't hold it back any longer," Gil said.
"I'll be honest, me too," Molly said. "How about we both say what we're thinking at the exact same time?" Molly suggested.
"Alright."
"1…2…3…"
"Do you like me?" They both said at the same time. "Yes!" The two shouted before covering their mouths, looking away and blushing in embarrassment. Molly grabbed Gil's hand as fireworks began sounding off in the night sky.
"You know what would make this even better?" Molly asked Gil.
"Erm….more cake?" Gil wondered.
"No silly Gilly," Molly said, getting close to him.
"Uh M-Molly, what if someone sees us?" Gil asked her, nervously.
"They won't. Just focus on me," Molly said with a grin.
"Touché," Gil said. They both leaned in as they locked lips, having their first kiss with each other as the sound of fireworks were heard around the area. Meanwhile, from afar, the others watched the two share their love.
"Mission accomplished," Goby said, fistbumping Deema, as this was their plan the entire time. Once they finished kissing, the two guppies looked up at the display in the sky. Molly rested her head on Gil's head as they watched the flashing colors. This finished their journey that led them through various obstacles and lessons. However, this wasn't the end of their journey, as this was only the end of the beginning. One thing was certain, though. They were ready for anything that came their way, ready to take on this new future.
Author's Notes
And that's a wrap! This was certainly a journey to go through, and I never expected to finish this in time. In fact, as I am finishing this, I have finished high school and will be moving on to college! My birthday is also in less than a week, so there's that too! I'll answer the final reviews now:
ReaderandWriter9000: Hello there again friend! I'm so glad you enjoyed the end to the final battle. I don't know if you or anyone noticed this, but what I made Molly do to Pyros was inspired by Avatar, and what Aang did to Ozai hehe. And while you're right as there are still mysteries to be told, only time will tell when they get resolved. I hope you enjoyed this chapter too.
PrimroseRaspberry: I'm glad you were relieved with Molly's revival. I want to thank you for sticking with this story to the very end. Many thanks to you, and cheers to your future stories!
Joeforit: Hello there! Oona being the one to free Stylee was an interesting idea I had to make it different than Molly being the one, and to show of badass Oona hehe. Also, I'm not sure if I did do that for the future character. So if I did say that, then just imagine Gil gave it to Cryo so he could put his ice energy in there lol. Thank you for your feedback. I am still a novice in this sort of field, but I'm working to improve, and appreciate feedback like that. I'm glad you enjoyed this story, and want to thank you for reading.
I just want to thank each and everyone one of you that stuck with this story to the very end, as well as all the readers and reviewers. This would not have been possible without you guys. But for now, this is the end of this tale, so I'll leave with this last piece of story. Thank you all so much for reading this magical story, but for now, see you all later!
Epilogue
It's been a few months since Pyros's defeat, and we now come to BubbleTucky Middle School, where the graduation ceremony. As we enter the building, we come to Molly, who is finishing up a speech she was giving at the stage in front of hundreds of families, students, and staff members.
"...and while the future may be difficult and tough to adapt to, I'm sure we can take it on as long as we stick together. I'm grateful for where I am, especially with my friends and family by my side. Thank you," The pink-haired guppy said as she walked off stage, clapping and cheering going off in the crowd.
After the ceremony, all the students were released with their parents to go home, since it was getting rather late. We'll focus on two families that happened to be with each other. Molly was with her entire family, while Cryo was with Alana, Glacia and Lady Snowa.
"So, how'd graduation feel, Cryo?" Molly asked the blue and red-haired boy.
"I'll admit, I'm still not used to public crowds, but it did feel nice being accepted into moving onto high school," Cryo answered. "Thanks for getting me and my sister accepted into society after the whole 'my dad was evil' thing."
"Hey no problem! I couldn't stand seeing you two treated like that, so I had to do something," Molly said. "Oh yeah! How's life with Glacia and Lady Snowa doing?"
"It's going well. I heard they might be moving here soon," Cryo said. That's right, Cryo and Alana have become part of the two sister's family. While Alana is an adult and is able to get her own house, Cryo is living with the sisters, who are planning to move to BubbleTucky. It took some time for the two to adjust to school life, and with Cryo getting treated not so nicely by his peers due to being the son of Pyros. Luckily, Molly and the rest of the guppies managed to get everyone to treat him and Alana nicely and like regular people after a while. Molly then got an idea.
"Hey Mom, Dad, can the guppies have a sleepover at our house?" Molly asked her parents.
"Hmm…I don't know. It's rather late," her father said.
"Pleeeasse," Molly begged.
"I don't see the harm in it dear. It has been a while since they all had a sleepover together," Her mother said to her dad.
"(sigh) Alright, but only if it's okay with their parents," Molly's dad said.
"Thank you!" Molly said. However, Cryo had something to say.
"Umm…I've never been to a sleepover before," He said.
"Then I'll get the others to teach you everything we know!" Molly said.
"Okay! Can I go with them?" Cryo asked Glacia and Lady Snowa.
"Of course dear! You don't want to miss your first time!" Lady Snowa said to Cryo.
"Sure kiddo, just don't do anything stupid," Glacia said.
"Alright! Let's go!" Molly exclaimed as she grabbed Cryo's hand and dragged him to her family's car, Mia following quickly behind the two. The adults chuckled, while Mason rolled his eyes at his sister. We then arrive at Molly's house about an hour later, where all the guppies are together. They just finished eating dinner, and are ready to play together.
"You've never been to a sleepover?!" Deema asked Cryo, flabbergasted.
"I never really had any real friends before you guys, so I never got to experience a sleepover," Cryo said.
"Well then we'll show you what we usually do when we all get together," Zooli said, bringing Cryo close to her. He gulped, getting a little nervous. A montage ensues, with the guppies and Cryo doing funny antics and sleepover things, ranging from karaoke, video games, board games, house games, and even games like truth or dare, Never Have I Ever, and charades. Cryo was having a blast, as he never got to experience this fun before. Pretty soon, it gets late at night, and the guppies all sleep downstairs in the living room. However, Gil wakes up and finds that Molly isn't in her sleeping area. He knows the first place to check, and quietly goes upstairs and sees Molly outside looking out her balcony.
"You alright Molly?" Gil asks his friend.
"(sigh) Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just worried about what's to come," Molly tells the boy.
"What do you mean?"
"I just have this feeling that with Pyros locked up, there might be even stronger foes coming for me, and I really don't know if I can keep everything balanced or not. I don't know if I can keep my word and protect everyone like I said. I'm scared, Gil," Molly explained, covering her face. However, Gil, brought her face to his.
"Molly, you need to stop worrying like this. Everything's gonna be okay. You've made it this far, and that's enough. Not everything's going to be perfect, but you can make things right your way. You have us at your side, and everyone we know too. As long as we have each other, nothing stands in our way," Gil explained to Molly. She was astonished by what he said, and he was right.
"Thanks Gilly, I really needed to hear that," Molly said, giving him a little kiss on the cheek. "Now (yawn) I'm tired."
"Me too, I need some sleep," Gil said. The two headed back downstairs to sleep the night away. The future may not be perfect as they want it to be, but that's okay. THere are many ways to make things the way things need to be. As long as the Bubble Guppies are together, almost no one can stand in their way! Well…, at least for now.
We come to a house located in Coral Reef Town, a place not that far from BubbleTucky. A young guppy girl about the same age as the Bubble Guppies is watching the song the guppies played at Molly's party.
"The Bubble Guppies huh? They seem cool," the girl said. "This trip to BubbleTucky just got a whole lot more exciting!"
The End
