Chapter 4: Red:
Sonic's POV:
Knuckles had a vision. "It's a Chaos Emerald," says Knuckles, "it's... here in Green Hills!"
"That's convenient," I said, "let's do it to it!"
. . .
We then arrived at the location, an old junkyard.
"The emerald could be here somewhere," says Jet.
"Hi guys," it was Scar.
"Scar, you were supposed to stay home," says Jet.
"And miss this," asks Scar.
"I think we have bigger problems," says Scar.
It was Snively, Scratch, Grounder, and Coconuts, which confirms that Eggman has to have a connection to Robotnik.
"Attack," says Snively.
The three bots then try to attack us, but me, Knuckles, and Amy were easily beating them. Tails, Jet, and Scar were looking for the emerald.
Tails' POV:
Jet, Scar, and I were looking for the emerald.
"I just found this weird ruby," says Scar.
I then hug her. "You found the emerald," I said.
"But it's red," says Jet.
"The Chaos Emeralds are in different colors," I said, "now we have to grab it before..."
Snively then pushes me to the ground and takes the emerald. "It's mine," says Snively.
"Stop him," says Jet. Then Snively disappears.
"Where'd he go," asks Scar.
"He must've activated Chaos Control," I said.
Sonic's POV:
We were still fighting the robots. "Snively disappeared with the emerald," says Tails.
"That's our cue to leave," says Scratch as the bots book it.
Snively's POV:
Why are they leaving? Why didn't anyone see me? I then realized... I was invisible! I was then visible again. The emerald... it made me invisible! Yes!
. . .
"And you didn't find the emerald," asks Dr. Eggman.
"Sadly, no," I said.
"Very well," says Eggman. He then walks away.
I figured I'd keep this one for myself.
Sonic's POV:
Jet and I were looking at the screen. "Wait, who taped this," I asked.
"I have no idea," says Jet.
Snively picks up the emerald and disappears. Something wasn't right. Then the alarm went off.
"A bank's being robbed," says Bass.
"Let's do it to it," I said.
. . .
Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and I arrived at the bank, but...
"Where are the robbers," I asked.
"UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh... it was an invisible robber," says a banker.
"What," asks Knuckles.
Something then knocked us down and left.
"Things got more complicated," says Amy.
. . .
"An invisible criminal," says Bass, "what are we gonna do?"
"Maybe we can ask them to be visible," says Captain Fox.
"How is she in charge again," asks Knuckles.
I was having a strange feeling.
Dr. Eggman's POV:
I watched the news. It was interesting. An invisible criminal and after Snively claimed to not have the emerald. I think there's something Snively isn't telling me.
Sonic's POV:
The invisible thief struck again. They were robbing a jewelry store. I ran around the thief and got a good look at the shadow.
"Snively," I asked.
He then revealed himself. "Drat."
"But how..." Knuckles begins.
"The emerald," says Tails, "he didn't use Chaos Control... the emerald can make you invisible!"
"All the emeralds possess the power of Chaos Control," says Snively, "but it seems that each one has their own powers. Didn't you know that, Knuckles?"
"I think my people were wiped out before I could learn that," says Knuckles.
"Now you see me," says Snively, "now you don't." He turns invisible and laughs.
"How do we catch him," asks Amy.
"We keep trying," I said.
We then tried to catch him, but it was hard because we couldn't see him.
"Guys, I think Snively left," says Tails.
"Now what," asks Knuckles.
"We're going to have to find a way to catch an invisible guy," I said.
. . .
Tails was working on an invention that should allow us to stop Snively.
"These goggles should allow us to see Snively," says Tails.
Amy tries a pair on. "Wow, you guys are hot," says Amy.
"You know we have girlfriends," says Knuckles.
"She means they're heat seekers," says Tails.
"That reminds me," I said, "one of these days, we have to find the others."
"We will find Sally," says Amy, "and Julie-Su."
"Right now, let's look for Snively," says Knuckles.
. . .
Snively was still committing crimes.
"Snively," I said, "this ends now!"
"You'll have to look for me first," says Snively.
Thanks to our new goggles, we can. I then do a spin dash and I hit Snively, forcing him to drop the emerald, making him visible again.
"But... how," asks Snively.
"Heat seeking goggles," says Tails.
"This may be the only time you will ever be hot," says Amy.
Snively attempts to get away, but then a large robot comes and grabs him and takes him away.
"Eggman," I said.
. . .
We put the emerald in the vault.
"One down, six to go," says Knuckles, "plus the Master Emerald."
"Each one with their own power," says Tails, "we can't let them fall into Eggman's hands!"
"We won't," I said.
Eggman's POV:
"You shouldn't have deceived me," I said.
"Sir, please, listen..."
I then leave him to Grounder, who has his drills ready.
In the next chapter, Sonic teams up with a ninja to save Chaotix.
