Chapter 7: Great Battle Kukku:

Tails' POV:

I was all alone in Section Twelve. Everyone else went off somewhere. I was trying to find something decent to watch on TV, but because it's Valentine's Day, there's nothing but gross love stuff. Yuck! You will never catch me liking anyone. Anyway, I decided to play a video game. Too bad they don't have Tomatopotamus. Then the intruder alarm went off. I decided to check it out.

I arrived and saw it was a mongoose. She was about my age. "Excuse me," I said, "how did you get in here?"

"I don't know," she says as she turns around.

"Hey, you're Mina Mongoose," I said, "you're that pop singer. You joined the Freedom Fighters as a motivational singer."

"Yeah and aren't you Sonic's sidekick... huhh... Nine?"

"It's Tails, actually, but Nine is a cool name. Too bad I only have two tails."

"What is this place," asks Mina.

"Section Twelve," I said, "but I'm confused of how you got in. I mean I feel like that shouldn't happen. Come with me."

Mina doesn't remember how she got here, but I'm going to find out.

"The last thing I remembered was seeing someone steal my Mother's jewels," says Mina, "and that's it."

"Any idea who did it," I asked.

"I just remember wings," says Mina.

I showed Mina the vault. "That's it," asks Mina.

"Yep, at least two Chaos Emeralds are in there," I said.

"Can we get in," asks Mina.

"Sorry, but I probably shouldn't do that," I said, "I could get in trouble."

"You've been so nice to me," says Mina.

"It's nothing really that special," I said.

"I mean it, so, I'm going to sing for you."

"Wow, my own private concert," I said.

I don't know what it is, but I decided I trusted Mina enough to open the vault. "Here they are," I said.

"Tails..."

"Yeah?"

"I'm sorry." Then she knocks me out.

I woke up and I saw I was tied up and Mina was with this weird bird guy.

"What's going on," I asked.

"Allow me to introduce myself, I am the Great Battle Kukku! I found Mina Mongoose when she was lost in the park. I knew your group would trust a fellow Freedom Fighter, so I made her an offer. She gets me the Chaos Emeralds and I use them to help us both get home."

"So, you used me," I asked.

"I'm really sorry, Tails," says Mina.

"I thought you were my friend," I said.

"Why don't you come with us," asks Mina, "we can all return home."

"Did it occur to you that this coocoo Kukku might be lying," I asked.

"Don't listen to him," says Kukku, "do you want to stay in a world where we're seen as freaks? You were famous, the youngest pop singer in all of Mobius and now you're an outcast!"

"Mina..."

"Let's go," says Kukku.

I then untied myself. I have to stop them. I flew after them.

Mina's POV:

I feel real bad about how I manipulated Tails.

"Now, we just need to find the other five," says Kukku.

"What," I asked.

"We need all seven," says Kukku, "I honestly thought they would already have them all, but oh well."

"So, how are we going to find them," I asked.

"We may need the fox," says Kukku.

"And how will we convince him," I asked.

"I think we have a way," says Kukku, "I truly think we do."

Tails' POV:

I found them and Kukku was holding Mina in a hostage like position. "What's going on," I asked.

"You're going to help us find the other emeralds," says Kukku, "or the pop star gets it!"

This time, I have a feeling, it's no trick. Mina looks too scared. I needed to think of something. "Wait, Kukku," I said, "I'll help you."

We arrived at a warehouse.

"Is this the place," asks Kukku.

"Yes," I said.

"The third emerald will be mine," says Kukku. He then runs in. I grabbed Mina and took her away.

"So, what's really in that warehouse," asks Mina.

"It's a G.U.N. research lab," I said, "Kukku's going to be dealing with the Guardians of the United Nations."

"You really are smart," says Mina, "and I'm really sorry."

"I guess I would be desperate too, but you'll grow to like this world," I said.

"Maybe you can help with that," says Mina.

Our hands almost touch, but then...

"What's going on here," asks Sonic as he, Knuckles, and Amy show up.

We then pulled our hands away. "Guys, this is..."

"Mina Mongoose," asks Amy, "I'm a really big fan!"

"Thanks, I'm a big fan of you guys too," says Mina.

"You have to meet the others," says Amy. She, Knuckles, and Mina then walk away.

"You have a crush on her, don't you," asks Sonic.

"I'm afraid so," I said.

Great Battle Kukku's POV:

I hae been captured by G.U.N. Tails is going to pay for this, mark my words.

In the next chapter, the Yellow Emerald brings a skeleton to life.
