Chapter 8: Yellow:
Sonic's POV:
We arrived in the town of Spring Yard to find the next emerald.
"I can sense it," says Knuckles.
"So, he can really sense the emeralds," asks Mina.
"Yeah, he's good at it," says Tails.
"Which way," asks Espio.
"There," says Knuckles.
. . .
The Spring Yard Graveyard.
"Imagine a yard sale here," I said, "hey, what's the deal with Spring Yard?"
"It's the pinball capitol of the world," says Jet.
We arrived at a grave, but the words are blurry. Then Snively and the robots came.
"We'll be taking the emerald," says Snively.
We took them on, but then the emerald started glowing. Then a skeleton comes out and the emerald is where his heart would be. We all looked.
"I'm chickening out," says Scratch as he runs.
"Wait for me," says Grounder.
"Me too," says Coconuts.
"Cowards," says Snively while he runs away, scared too.
The Skeleton then gets up a guitar. "Hey, who wants to jam?" He then plays it.
"I'm liking this," says Mina.
"This guy's good," I said.
"Yeah!"
"But how..." Knuckles begins.
"The emerald," says Tails, "it must have the power of Immortality."
"Who are you," asks Jet.
"That's the problem with being dead, you don't always remember your name." He then turns around. "Great, I can't read my own grave."
"How'bout... Mr. Bones," says Amy.
"I can dig it," says Mr. Bones.
. . .
We brought Mr. Bones to Section Twelve. Captain Fox and Agent Bass were uncomfortable. Scar thought the dead guy was cool. Day was... well...
"I find his bones very alluring," says Day. Dead is her type. You surprised?
"Well, let's put that emerald in the vault," says Knuckles.
"Woah, woah," says Mr. Bones, "let's not get carried away. I just woke up. I wanna see the town, Man."
"You can't be serious," says Knuckles.
"Well, maybe we could do him that favor," I said.
"Sonic, I need to talk to you," says Espio.
. . .
"What's up," I asked.
"This is a bad idea," says Espio, "I take Death very seriously and letting him walk feels disrespectful. Plus, people will not take kindly to a skeleton walking around."
"Look, he wants to reexperience the world," I said, "we should give him that chance."
"Sonic, were you accepted when you first came here," asks Espio.
"Well... I spent most of my days running from G.U.N.," I said. Espio glares. "We'll still help him out!"

We had to disguise Mr. Bones so we can show him around. Day kept fawning over him. It was weird, but normal for her. We took Mr. Bones to the arcade, N-Sub, that's a sandwich shop, and even to see Green Hill's champion baseball team.
"I sure missed a lot when I was buried," says Mr. Bones.
Dr. Eggman's POV:
"Power of Immortality," I asked.
"Yes Sir," says Snively.
"Immortality. I could use that."
Sonic's POV:
We took Mr. Bones to the Rock n' Roll Racing Music Store.
"Hey, I think I remember a lot of these bands," says Mr. Bones.
"Yeah right, you'd have to be old enough..." Scar then remembers Mr. Bones is dead. "Never mind."
Then the bots came. "Hand over the Immortality Emerald," says Scratch.
"I'm a little attached to it," says Mr. Bones.
"Then we'll take it," says Grounder.
We then took on the bots.
"Sonic, we have to get Mr. Bones out of here," says Mina.
"Right," I said. I then grabbed Mr. Bones and took him away.
. . .
I took Mr. Bones back to Section Twelve.
"We can't let those guys get the emerald," I said.
"I think I might have an idea," says Mr. Bones.
. . .
We then returned and Mr. Bones played the right frequency that that caused the robots to malfunction.
"It's only rock and roll, but I don't love it," says Scratch. They then fall apart.
. . .
We then returned to the graveyard. "Well, that's it for me," says Mr. Bones as he gives me the emerald. He then returns to a corpse.
"Now, we can take the emerald back to Section Twelve and what are you doing, Tom?"
Tom took a look at the grave and dusted it. "I don't believe it... your friend... was my uncle!"
"Wait does that mean Mr. Bones was my Adoptive Granduncle," asked Scar.
"I guess so," I said answering Scar's question.
In the next chapter, Knuckles learns that Julie-Su is working for Mr. X.
