Chapter 10: Green:
Sonic's POV:
Knuckles sensed that the next emerald is in the Labyrinth in Greece.
"The Minotaur's Maze," says Jet.
"What's a minotaur," asks Vector.
"Half-man, half-bull," says Scar.
"I'm not even gonna ask," says Vector.
"Tails, Amy, keep Scar safe," says Jet.
"Right," says Tails.
"Got it," says Amy.
"So not fair," says Scar.
. . .
The rest of us were walking through the maze.
"Can't I just punch my way through the walls," asks Knuckles.
"Or you could use your ability to sense the emeralds to find them," I said.
"Fair point," says Knuckles. He then concentrated. "This way!" He ran and we followed him.
. . .
We then arrived at the center of the maze, and we saw Snively and the bots looking like something's been kicking their butts.
"What happened to them," asks Jet.
"I think he might know," says Charmy.
Then we were attacked by the Minotaur.
"Could that be your Minotaur," asks Julie-Su.
"Impossible," says Jet, "this isn't even the real maze, it's a tourist attraction!"
"It's... not the Minotaur," says Snively, "it's a statue the Green Emerald... brought to life!"
"The Green Emerald has the power of life," I said.
The Minotaur kept coming at us and Knuckles was fighting it hand-to-hand. Espio then taps on my shoulder and pointed something out. I then nodded and I did a spin dash, and I knocked the emerald out of the minotaur's chest, turning it back to stone.
"I get why people say things about bulls in China shops now," says Knuckles.

We exited the maze and showed Tails, Amy, and Scar the emerald.
"And it brought a statue to life," says Scar, "sounds a lot like the Rat Talisman."
"The what," asks Julie-Su.
"Somebody else's thing," says Jet.
"Now we can take the emerald back to Section Twelve," says Espio.
Amy gasps. "I was starting to forget you can talk!"
. . .
We were back at Section Twelve.
"This thing could've turned Scratch into a real chicken," says Agent Bass, "or Coconut into a real monkey!"
"Or Grounder into a real... whatever he is," says Captain Fox.
"At least we took it," I said.
Dr. Eggman's POV:
"Imbeciles," I said, "none of you can do anything right!"
"Well... there are still three emeralds left," says Snively.
"The Hedgehog still has four emeralds," I said, "luckily, I found someone that can take care of the job for us. G.U.N. has captured her, but she's willing to help us with this little task. Gentlemen, meet Rouge the Bat!"
"Evening Boys," says Rouge.
Knuckles' POV:
I was sleeping, but then I had a weird dream... but then I realized it wasn't a dream... it was a vision. The Emeralds!

I got up and headed for the vault. I then opened it and saw someone stealing the emeralds. She then flies out and I chase after her.

As soon as we were outside, I caught her.
"Where do you think you're going," I asked.
"Sorry, but I can't reveal my client," she says.
"You mean someone's paying you to steal the Emeralds," I asked.
She then kicked me and attempts to fly, but I grab her wing. "OW!" I crushed it. "Watch it!"
"Does this mean you can't fly," I asked.
"Let's see, I only have two wings... so yes!"
"Good, because whatever your client's paying you, I'm doubling it and the job is to take me to them!"
. . .
Rouge took me to Dr. Eggman's lab.
"I knew it," I said, "it was Eggman!"
"These guys captured me when I got here and Eggman offered me this job," says Rouge.
"Did you ask what he would do with the emeralds," I asked.
"I didn't need to, because I was going to keep some for myself," says Rouge, "or all!"
"So, how do we break in," I asked, "the vents?"
"If we were cartoon characters," says Rouge. We then looked at ourselves. "Okay, so we match the description of Earth cartoon characters, but the vents won't work. Here's what we do..."

We made it look like Rouge captured me along with the emeralds. We entered the lab.
"The Chaos Emeralds and Knuckles," says Dr. Eggman, "I'm impressed."
"I think this requires a bigger payment," says Rouge.
"Of course," says Eggman, "but first, there is one thing I must have taken care of."
. . .
I was put in a room that looked like a giant arena. I looked and saw a statue of a dragon in front of me. Eggman then puts the green emerald on its head. The emerald brings the dragon to life.
Dr. Eggman's POV:
"What are we doing," asks Rouge.
"The dragon is going to eat the echidna," I said, "making one last friend for Sonic's." I then laughed.
Knuckles' POV:
I was fighting the dragon. I needed a way to get the emerald out of it. The dragon was vicious.
"So far, things are going... as expected," I said.
The dragon starts breathing fire, but I dodge. The dragon then tackles me to the ground and starts trying to bite me, but then things go dark and when the lights are back on, it's a statue again. I then break it. I then saw there was an exit. I then ran. Eggman started shouting like a kid who can't have toys.

I found Rouge and we both needed to get out. She tripped, but I helped her get up.
. . .
We got out. "I can't fly, but I'll find another way to travel," says Rouge, "and thanks for the emeralds." She then leaves.
"No, thank you," I said. Here's the thing, when I helped Rouge up, I took the emeralds from her.
. . .
I returned the Emeralds to Section Twelve. "We need better security," I said.
Sonic's POV:
I was talking to Commander Tower. "And that's what Knuckles told me," I said.
"I'll have a talk with Dr. Eggman," says Tower.
Eggman might be brought down now.
In the next chapter, Sonic and his friends run into ghosts.
