Chapter 11: Ghosts:
Sonic's POV:
Tails, Knuckles, and I were watching a horror movie that Scar gave us to check it out. It's called Toshimaen: Haunted Park. It was made in 2019, yup, it was made two years ago.
And it was now the after-credit scene. Three women were at the Toshimaen Amusement Park.
"To shimaen no noroi tte shitteru?" says Girl-1. "Translated: Have you heard of Toshimaen's Curse?"
"Un. Furui teitaku no doa o nokku shinaide kudasai. Obakeyashi de han'nō shinaide kudasai. Musuko yo, himitsu no kagami o miru na. Rūru o 1tsu demo yaburu to, himitsu no basho ni tsurete ika remasu. Noroiwotoku ni wa merīgōrando ni nore. Sore wa dōdesu ka?" says Girl-2. "Translated: Yeah. Don't knock on the door of the old mansion. Don't respond in the haunted house. Son't look into the secret mirror. If you break any of the rules, you'll be taken to a secret place. to break the curse, ride the merry-go-round. What about it?"
"Dakara anata wa shitte imashita." says Girl-1. "Translated: So, you knew."
"Mochiron. Kanari yūmeina toshi densetsudeshita." says Girl-2. "Translated: Of course. It was a pretty well-known urban legend."
"Hanashi wa mada tsudzukimasu. Shiritaidesu ka?" says Girl-3. "Translated: There's more to the story. Do you want to know?"
"Nani?" says Girl-2. "Translated: What?"
"Motto arimasu ka?" says Girl-1. "Translated: There's more?"
"Un. Noroi o hodoku koto ga dekinakatta shōjo ga imashita. Anokoha merīgōrando ni norazu, ima mo tomodachi to issho ni himitsu no basho ni iru." says Girl-3. "Translated: Yeah. There was a girl who didn't manage to break the curse. That girl didn't ride the merry-go-round and is still in the secret place together with her friend."
"Sore ga subete no toshi densetsu no owaridesu." says Girl-2. "Translated: That's how all urban legends end."
"Un." says Girl-1. "Translated: Yeah."
"Tameshite mimasen ka? To shimaen no noroi." says Girl-3. "Translated: Why don't we try it out? Toshimaen's Curse."
The sound of the merry-go-round started, and the two women look at their friend with worry looks on their faces.
"Hon'no jōdandesu!" says Girl-3. "Translated: I'm just kidding!"
"Yamete, anata wa watashitachi o shinobiyora sete imasu." says Girl-2. "Translated: Stop, you're creeping us out."
They were laughing as the statue of a woman started to have tear of blood streaming down her face and that's where the movie ends.
"It sure is scary," says Tails.
"Relax," I said, "there's no such thing as ghosts... and curses."
"Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist," says Knuckles.
"You mean you believe in ghosts," I asked.
"I'm just saying stranger things have happened," says Knuckles.
"Tell you what," I said, "let's check out that old mansion they say is haunted and see if it is."
"Are you sure it's a good idea," asks Tails.
"You never mess with the Unknown," says Knuckles.
"Well, if you guys are scared," I said.
. . .
We arrived at the old mansion.
"Some guy named Mick fought vampires here," says Knuckles.
"Then why do they call it Ghost House," asks Tails.
"No idea," says Knuckles.
"Let's just get in," I said.
. . .
We were walking through the creepy halls.
"This place gives me the creeps," says Tails.
"What did you expect," asks Knuckles.
"I'm sure it's fine," I said.
Then there was a breeze. "Get Out!"
"What was that," asks Tails.
"Sorry, I had beans," says Knuckles.
"I don't think that was it," says Tails.
. . .
We found the living room.
"So far, we haven't seen any ghosts," I said.
Then the furniture started moving.
"What do you call that," asks Knuckles.
"I... it's the wind," I said.
"Sonic, do you know how illogical that is," says Tails.
"It's not ghosts, guys," I said.
We then heard a howl.
"That's it, we're getting out of here," says Tails.
"Hold it," I said, "Tails, you're a scientist, don't you think there's a logical explanation?"
"Yes, the place is haunted," says Tails.
We then heard that howl again. "Let's keep looking," I said.
. . .
We were walking through the halls and the paintings were looking at us. We heard that howl again.
"That sound is really getting on my nerves," says Knuckles.
"Y'know, Day would love this place," I said.
Then... you wouldn't believe it... but ghosts came out of the walls and were floating around us.
"That can't be good," says Tails.
The ghosts began to attack us, and we had to fight back, but how do you fight ghosts? Knuckles then slams his fists on the ground and something happens that makes the ghosts disappear.
"How'd you do that," I asked.
"I don't know," says Knuckles.
"The vibration caused by Knuckles' fists..." Tails just started talking science and Knuckles and me were brain dead.
. . .
We heard the howl again.
"I think we're getting closer to it," I said.
"Y'know, the last time someone freed a howling guy by removing a staff, it turned out the howling guy is the Devil," says Knuckles.
"Did you see this on the Twilight Zone," I asked.
There was a very long pause. "Maybe," says Knuckles.
"This way," I said.
. . .
The howl came from a door. I opened it and it was Antoine D'Coolette!
"Ant," I said.
"No, I ahm naht fahlleeng fahr zat ahgain! You ghahsts cahnnaht fool me!"
"It's really us," says Tails.
"Wait, remember when we met the Wolf Pack," I asked, "you accused Geoffrey of being a spy! Bunnie thought you were braved and kissed you, starting your relationship!"
"Ze ghahsts could naht pahsseebly know zat... Sahneec? Tails? Knuckles? Eet ees you!"
Antoine then hugs us. "It's actually good to see you again," says Knuckles.
"Oui, hahve you seen ahny of ze others?"
"Just Julie-Su, Vector, Espio, Charmy, and Amy," says Tails, "oh and we got a pop star on our team now."
"Zen you hahve naht found..."
"Sorry Ant," I said, "we haven't seen Bunnie."
"Ahs eef ziss hahrror could naht get ahny wahrst!"
"Ant, what's really going on," I asked.
"Cahn't you tell, ziss plahce ees haunted by ahn ahrmy of ghahsts, led by ze seenistair Keeng Boom Boo!" We just stare at him. "I ahgree, naht a very scahry soundeeng nahme, but trust me, he's a nightmahre"
We then heard a sound and this time; it wasn't Antoine's howling. "We gotta get out of here," I said.
"Does anyone remember the exit," asks Tails.
"Sacrebleu," says Antoine.
. . .
We then looked for the exit. Everywhere we looked, the ghosts kept showing up.
"Maybe we'll learn their sad origin story," says Tails.
"This isn't a GameToons video," says Knuckles, "this is a fanfiction!"
"Oh right," says Tails.
"This way," I said. I ran, but then I ran back. "Sorry."
"We cahn't ahll be ze fahstest sing ahlive."

We finally found the exit, but then the ghosts came, including one big ghost.
"Keeng Boom Boo!"
King Boom Boo was one big ghost.
"Let's do it to it," I said. We tried to fight the ghost, but he was too strong, but then I had an idea. "Knuckles, do that vibration thing again!"
Knuckles slams his fists on the ground, and it weakens the ghosts enough to allow us to get out.
. . .
"Next time, let's agree to disagree," says Knuckles.
"Well, at least we got away from those ghosts," I said.
"I vish I could have seen it."
"And who are you," I asked.
"I am Dracula!"
We then ran away in fear as Dracula laughed.
Toshimaen: Haunted Park was in fact a real movie which was set in entertainment venue Toshimaen, the story takes us to young, obsessed women who are handy and active with their mobile telephones, which is normal enough. Except the photographs and the videos are taking a toll and having an impact to the point of changing lives. There is a surprise or two at hand. That story Sonic mentioned was a reference to a Sonic comic. In the next chapter, Sonic and the others go after the Pink Chaos Emerald.
