Chapter 16: Purple:
Sonic's POV:
There's only one emerald left and according to a vision Knuckles had, it's on the Moon!
"We're getting closer," says Knuckles, "there!"
We saw the Purple Emerald.
"The last Chaos Emerald," says Jet.
"Now let's grab it before Eggman's goons show up," says Tails.
"Too late," says Eggman, in a large robot, "and say hello to my Egg Crusher!"
"Shouldn't an egg crusher be crushing you," asks Amy.
"Shut up," says Eggman.
We then fought against the Egg Crusher. I grabbed the Emerald, but during the whole thing, it started to glow. I think its power activated. There was a flash of light.

I woke up in a room I didn't recognize.
"Are you okay," asks this blonde girl who actually resembles Scar except her hair is blonde and wavy. Her eyes are blue and not amber gold.
"I think so," I said.
"You talk? That's amazing! I have to show my Grandpa!"
"Where am I?"
"In our space station."
"Okay. I have to call my friends." I got out my phone.
"What's that?"
"It's my cellphone." The girl was confused when she looked at it. "And I thought I was the alien."
"You're an alien? Of course, how else could we have found you in space?"
I tried to call the others, but nothing. Weird. "How bad is the signal here," I asked.
"I'm going to get my Grandpa. By the way, what's your name?"
"Sonic."
"I'm Maria."

I was looking around, but when I looked at a calendar and it was 1971, I realized I went back in time! That's why Maria thought a phone was weird! This space station looks brand new, but I bet in my time, it's an antique.
"There he is, Grandpa," says Maria.
Maria's Grandpa looks... just like Dr. Eggman!

"... so, Maria was born and raised on this ARK," says Old Man Robotnik.
We were all having dinner. "Fascinating," I said, "so... Dr. Robotnik... you have any relatives on other planets?"
"Earth is still working on space travel," says Old Man Robotnik.
"Right," I said. I can't believe Maria's a Robotnik! For one thing: she's pretty, for another thing: she resembles Scar, and for a third thing: she isn't evil! I'm looking at Maria and at Old Man Robotnik, but they look different.
"Sonic, after dinner, you can meet my friend, Abe," says Maria.
"Sounds like fun," I said. I wasn't really sure.

Maria introduced me to Abe, but he looked familiar.
"Hi," says Abe, "I'm Abe Tower."
I couldn't believe it, he's the Commander of G.U.N... at least he will be. The two were playing some game from this time, Computer Space. Wait 'til they see the video games of my time.

I thought the 70's would be more disco, but then again, we're all on this space station. There's got to be a way back to my time... who am I kidding? It's not like the purple emerald's conveniently here... I then saw it on top of a vending machine.
"How'bout that," I asked.
I then climbed up the machine and I grabbed the emerald. This was my ticket back to my time...
"What have you got there," asks Old Man Robotnik.
"UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh... paper weight," I said.

Old Man Robotnik was studying the emerald. "Incredible," he says, "this thing has an unusual amount of cosmic energy! Imagine what it could be capable of."
"It's a mystery," I said, "now I'll be taking it and..."
"Hold it, Mr. Hedgehog, I'd like to learn more about it," says Old Man Robotnik.
"Oh, well, that's... Albert Einstein!" I said as Old Man Robotnik looks at where I was pointing at and I'm able to take the emerald and run off.
. . .
I need this emerald to get home... besides, he had that Robotnik evil look in his... okay, I couldn't see his eyes. What's with them and glasses? I was running, but then I ran into the bots.
"Capture the Hedgehog," they all said.
"Oh boy," I said.
The bots came after me and I had to move. I did spin dashes and jumped on them. I know, I need a better fighting style, but hey, it works, doesn't it? I then ran down the halls.
. . .
I think I found a safe place. Now, how do I figure this emerald out? Things were a lot more simple when it was just me and Tails fighting robots. There was a knock on the door. "Don't come in," I said, "I'm naked!"
Robot's POV:
"Acknowledged!" We were about to leave. "Wait, wasn't he technically already naked?"
"Affirmative. We have been bamboozled." We all realized that.
Sonic's POV:
The robots broke the door down and grabbed me.

The bots took me back to Old Man Robotnik.
"You're a fascinating creature, Mr. Hedgehog," says Old Man Robotnik.
"Look, Dr. Done-It," I said, "I'm just trying to get home."
"Perhaps I can help you, just let me keep the emerald."
"You don't understand that emerald is my way home," I said.
"You don't say." He then gets all up in my grill. "TELL ME THE SECRETS OF THIS PURPLE ROCK!"
"Grandpa, what's going on," asks Maria and she doesn't look happy at her grandfather.
"Maria, I..."
I then escaped and I took the emerald. "Sorry, Maria, but I gotta go. But it's nice there's someone nice in your family." Then the emerald started to glow and there was another flash.
. . .
I woke up and saw everyone was already beaten by the Egg Crusher.
"Look who's back," says Eggman, "now, GIVE ME THE EMERALD!"
"Better idea," I said.
I then did a spin dash and fought against the Egg Crusher. It tried to... well... crush me, but I started beating it until it was just Eggman. "NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!"
"Game over," I said, "how can you be related to Maria?"
"Wait... how do you know about Maria?"
. . .
I told Tower everything about Eggman.
"I'll have a talk with him," says Commander Tower, "and thank you for telling me."
"No problem... Abe."
"What?" I then ran.
. . .
"He doesn't believe me," I asked.
"Nope," says Captain Fox, "Commander Tower's taking Dr. Eggman's word."
"You gotta be kidding," I said.
Dr. Eggman's POV:
Now I have Tower under my control, thanks to my mind control devices. Ha!
Gerald Robotnik's POV:
That hedgehog was powerful and the way he disappeared... it was... inspiring.
Take a guess and I'll give a you hint, it's the origin of a Black Hedgehog. Anyway, in the next chapter, Sonic and Tails meet Sketch Turner.
